Whitney Houston?s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, rushed to hospital after mom

Whitney Houston's 18-year-old daughter was rushed to a hospital Sunday from the same hotel where her mother died the night before, the Daily News confirmed.

Bobbi Kristina Brown was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles on a stretcher after having a breakdown.

“She was transported to the hospital for a medical issue” around 11 a.m. Los Angeles time, Police Sgt. Donald Chase told the Daily News.

Houston’s only child from husband Bobby Brown was widely described as distraught after her mom was found dead Saturday.

TMZ reported she got into an angry shouting match with the cops guarding the hotel room where her mother died because they wouldn’t let her in.

WHITNEY HOUSTON DIES AT 48

Houston appeared to have drowned in her bathtub after slipping under the surface in a drugged haze, according to TMZ.

Houston was in her fourth floor suite at the Beverly Hilton getting ready for a glitzy Grammys party downstairs - a gala that continued without her as the body cooled upstairs for nine hours.

“Simply put, Whitney would have wanted the music to go on and her family asked that we carry on,” party-thrower Clive Davis told the assembled celebrities, many of whom arrived in their designer finery unaware of the tragedy upstairs.

In his first public comments about the death of his ex-wife, Brown gave a statement to the Daily News saying he was “deeply saddened.”

“At this time, we ask for privacy, especially for my daughter, Bobbi Kristina,” the R&B singer said. “I appreciate all of the condolences that have been directed towards my family and I at this most difficult time.”

WHITNEY HOUSTON: HER LIFE IN PHOTOS

Houston’s mom, described by neighbors as frail and quiet, was in seclusion in her new apartment on the 20th floor of a tower in Edgewater, N.J.

A woman who answered the door asked for privacy, saying Cissy Houston was hurting.

“How would a mother who has lost her child be doing?” she said.

Another woman, who was dropping off prescription medicine from CVS, said the mom was coping as best she could.

“As you can imagine, she's managing,” the woman said. “She loves daughter.”

Sunday night’s Grammy ceremony will feature an outpouring of hastily-composed tributes to the gorgeous queen of song whose voice, looks and career was eaten away by addictions to cocaine, marijuana, alcohol and pills.

FARBER: A GREAT VOICE HAS BEEN SILENCED

Bruce Springsteen is reportedly to open the show with his new song, “We Take Care Of Our Own.” Houston presented Springsteen with his Oscar for “Streets of Philadelphia” in 1994.

At New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, the hometown church where Houston sang in the choir before becoming a star, parishioners at Sunday morning services thanked God for the gift of her voice.

TMZ.com reported that Houston’s hairdresser found her in the tub Saturday afternoon with her face underwater and her legs elevated, as if she had slid down the back of the tub.

Cops found a pharmacy’s worth of sedatives in the room, including Valium, Xanax and Lorazepam, according to an unnamed law enforcement official quoted by RadarOnline.com.

There are no reports that Houston, who was addicted to cocaine years ago and was back in rehab last May, had used illegal drugs.

An autopsy was being performed Sunday to determine the precise cause of death. Cops say there was no sign of foul play.

“There may be something fairly obvious in terms of cause of death,” Capt. John Kades with the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office told the Daily News. “But if not, the cause will be deferred about eight weeks for (toxicology) test results.”

TMZ reported that the singer’s entourage - her stylist, hairdresser and two bodyguards - became concerned when she remained silent in the bathroom for more than an hour.

After knocking and calling out, the female hairdresser went in to check and found the body.

One of the bodyguards ran in and pulled the cold body out of the tub and attempted CPR, TMZ said.

But it was in vain.

Paramedics declared her dead at 3:55 p.m. Los Angeles time.

The body remained in the room until 12:45 a.m. as cops searched for evidence.

The Chicago Sun Times quoted a witness saying the bodyguard “kept saying over and over and over again, 'I knew she was dead the second I saw her. I just knew it, I just knew.”

As the news filtered out and the shaken music world began to mourn, the famous Clive Davis pre-Grammys party went on.

Houston had been due to perform.

Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, who was at the shindig, told the Daily News Houston was “a fixture” at the exclusive annual gala.

“It's a real downer in there. It's not a party,” Brown said.

Houston’s mother, Cissy Houston, and her cousin, Dionne Warwick, said they spoke to the troubled singer by phone just before she got into the bath and heard no indication that anything was wrong.

However there were several sightings of Houston in the days before her death appearing erratic and stupefied by drugs.

On Thursday, she showed up to a rehearsal for Davis' gala looking bloated and disheveled, wearing mismatched clothes, her hair wet and smelling of booze and cigarettes, according to the Los Angeles Times.

She reportedly delivered a strange rant about how she wouldn’t wear blue to the party, flailed her hands oddly and then wandered aimlessly around the hotel lobby.

When she died, Houston might have been on the verge of a big screen comeback.

Her final movie appearance will be playing the mother of showbiz sisters in “Sparkle,” a remake of a 1976 film loosely based on the career of The Supremes that is to be released in August.

Billboard said Houston’s final recordings will be heard in the film: a rendition of the gospel classic "Eyes on the Sparrow" and a duet with Jordin Sparks on a new R. Kelly song, "Celebrate," over the end credits.

The movie has been dogged by tragedy.

It was originally to have begun filming in 2002, but production was derailed by R&B singer Aaliyah's death in a plane crash.
