Welcome to the blog of B Daht Obama! I've taken a new approach to MY blogs - I write letters to people. Hopefully one day some of the people can actually read the letters I write. If you have an idea of a letter you'd like me to write to someone (they don't HAVE to be in Sports) send it to theescore@yahoo. Hope you enjoy, and comments are STRONGLY encouraged!
Vick to Buffalo? / Vernon Forrest

Mike Vick to the Bills??
I didn’t hear that, but what I DID hear was the most high profile player on the Buffalo Bills roster (and THE most controversial player in the league CONSISTENTLY the past 5 years) Terrell Owens, has spoken out regarding the 4 game suspension on Mike Vick.
“The Michael Vick situation, I think, is unfortunate," Owens said. "I think the way the commissioner is handling it is unfair to Michael Vick. I think he's done the time for what he's done. I don't think it's really fair for him to be suspended four more games. It's almost like kicking a dead horse in the ground. A lot of the guys around the league need to speak up. I think the players' union needs to step in because the guy's already suffered so much, and to add a four-game suspension onto a two-year prison sentence, I mean, that's ridiculous.”
After 23 months, removed from his profession, embarrassed the same way HE embarrassed the NFL, his fans, and his family, to bring him out of suspension to suspend him is preposterous.
How much can you take from someone? I think this is yet another situation where Roger Goodell has gone TOO far and I really hope the Player’s Union stands behind T.O. and Vick on this one.
Mike Vick in Buffalo with Marshawn Lynch in the backfield and the Big Play WR Terrell Owens would have them surpass the Cowboys AND Raiders as most controversial team in history! I'm not saying Vick WILL be a Bill, but it'd surely be a nice way to say thank you to Mr. Owens.
Vernon Forrest SH1Tuation:
Many remember 1992 Olympian, Vernon Forrest, from his 2 great battles against “Sugar” Shane Mosely. I personally remember Forrest being dismantled by Mayorga in 2003. He was beaten like “a man beats a boy”. In victory, Mayorga smoked his traditional celebratory cigarette as he interviewed with Jim Lampley in the center of the ring. Gutter.
Well Saturday, July 25th, Vernon was with his 11 year old godson. As his godson entered the convenience store, Vernon took the time to put some air in his tire, where he was approached by a “begger” asking for money. Vernon pulled his wallet from his pocket, and it was snatched.
The assailant was pursued by Forrest, but after he turned a corner and was out of view, Forrest just counted his losses and turned to return to his vehicle. As he returned to the vehicle, the assailant returned from around the corner and gunned Forrest down. 7 – 8 shots in the torso and legs and one in the head.
In the month of July, we’ve lost 3 great boxers of this generation:
• Alexix Arguello, found dead by apparent suicide on July 1st.
• Arturo Gatti, found dead July 11 at a Brazillian resort. His wife Amanda Rodrigues is named the prime suspect.
Hate to say it, but B called it on T.O. 10 or more years ago. I am now a fan. If you look at it from a practical standpoint, Vick is now a felon and is lucky to even have a job as most felons are not. But isn't that the problem? That many felons return to the world after years in jail and are unable to find work. Vick served his time lost countless million$$$$ and should be able to return to work.

I haven't heard anything about Vick going to the Bills either, but I do not think it would be a good move for him to go there. They are already going through enough offensively adding T.O. to their receiving corps, hoping to have their young QB Trent Edwards remain healthy this year (and not have him face a QB-WR fallout with T.O.), changes on their offensive line, no J.P. Losman as the backup, and Marshawn Lynch being suspended for the first three games, so Fred Jackson will be starting.
That's enough, so the Vick addition will just add fuel to the fire. They need to get over those obstacles first.
Now where Vick would be great at is with the Minnesota Vikings. Can you imagine that backfield with Vick, A.P., and rookie Percy Harvin??? That would drive defenses and defensive coordinators crazy. And furthermore, with Favre allegedly saying he is going to stay retired, this might be the boost that Vikes head coach Brad Childress needs to perhaps save his job. Now I know alot of people criticize Vick for not staying in the pocket, one thing he has is the ability to accurately throw the deep ball. That will open up things for Bernard Berrian, a true deep threat, especially with his speed, because defenses will be so worried about stacking the box to save face against A.P., Vick, and Harvin. Adding Vick, the Vikes would upgrade on offense, and since nobody can run on them anyway, the only thing left for them to address is their pass defense. Once they add Vick and fix that defensive flaw, the NFC North will be theirs (again) despite the Bears adding Jay Cutler, the offseason moves the Lions made, and an emerging Aaron Rodgers for the Packers.
