R&B STAR Usher’s stepson is fighting for his life in Georgia after he was badly injured in a boating accident on a lake outside Atlanta, according to news reports.
Kyle Glover, 11, and a 15-year-old girl were on an inner tube towed by a speedboat on Lake Lanier when a jet ski operated by a man in their group hit the tube, TV station WXIA reports.
Glover and the girl, whose name was not released, sustained serious injuries and were evacuated to a nearby hospital, where they remain in critical condition.
Georgia Department of Natural Resources officials are investigating the incident. An agency spokesman told WXIA that alcohol was not a factor.
Glover is the son of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster. Usher and Foster have two sons from their 2007 marriage, which ended in divorce two years later.
Despite a bitter divorce and ongoing custody battle, the famous crooner hired a private jet to deliver Foster to her injured son, TMZ.com reports. Ben Chapman
