Apparently, MTV's decade-old show Pimp My Ride was as phony as a $2 bill.
During a "Ask Me Anything" session on Reddit, contestants Jake Glazier from Season 4 and Seth Martino and Justin Dearinger from Season 6 discussed their experience on the show. The Huffington Post then caught up with them and they further exposed what went on behind the scenes.
Some of the props that were used to "pimp" these rides were immediately removed after filming. Dearinger said that the "pop-up" champagne addition and a "drive-in theater" that was installed in his car were removed because producers did not want to promote drinking and driving with the champagne and the drive-in theater wasn't safe for driving on the street. Martino said that a robotic arm that was added on to his car was "controlled by commands that were entered into a laptop by the spiky haired guy off screen" and that in actuality it "was just a robotic arm with a bunch of wires hanging out of it."
Martino said that the televisions in the headrests and LED lights in his car seats stop working after the show. The cotton candy machine was installed in his trunk without leaving enough room for the dome top to keep the cotton candy "from flying all over the place."
After the cars would start breaking down, show participants would call West Coast Customs and Mad Mike would try to help as best as he could.
"The people who had cars that appeared on the show would call me, and I would leave my desk, run to meet up with the flatbed tow truck and go help them," Mike said.
Martino said that all the luxuries added to his car made it hard to drive home and contrary to how it seemed on the show, much was not done to the engine.
"There wasn't much done under the hood in regards to the actual mechanics of the vehicle," Martino said. "For the most part, it needed a lot of work done to make it a functioning regular driver, which they did not do." He continued, " Martino said he had a hard time even driving the car home. "They added a lot of extra weight but didn't adjust the suspension to compensate so I felt like I was in a boat, and every time I hit a bump the car would bottom out and the tires would scrape inside the wheel well."
Martino's car only lasted a month and then he had to save up money to invest in an engine. Glazier sold his car after a month for $18,000 to MTX, whose sound system was in the car.
Former executive producer Larry Hochberg said that certain additions were removed for "safety reasons." He recalled when 24-inch spinners were taken off a 1977 Cutlass and replaced with 20-inch rims for daily driving.
The homes in which Xzibit would arrive to to "surprise" the contests were not actually their homes. They were rented by MTV. The contestants were also scared into having an enthused reaction when they saw their car after its make over.
"I remember this very clearly, Big Dane, very big dude, he like puts his arm around my shoulder, kind of walks me around the shop for like 10 minutes and he's like, 'Listen, we put a lot of work into this … we expect you to be a little more fucking enthusiastic,'" Glazier remembered.
Hochberg said that it's unfair to say that not enough work was put into the mechanics of the cars.
"Some of the cars were so old and rusted that they would have mechanical issues no matter how much work you put into them [and] the production team and the car shops worked their butts off to get parts for these cars."

"Beyoncé, to me, doesn't have a f**king 'Purple Rain,' but she's the biggest thing on Earth. How can you be that big without at least one 'Sweet Home Alabama' or 'Old Time Rock and Roll'?" asked Rock. "People are like, 'Beyoncé's hot. Got a nice f**king ass.' I'm like, 'Cool, I like skinny white chicks with big tits.' Doesn't really f**king do much for me."
Those statements led to Beyoncé's followers flooding Kid Rock's Instagram page. Almost every recent picture on the "Cowboy" performer's IG now includes thousands of comments featuring the Bey Hive's signature bee emoji and critical replies.
Entertainment Weeklyreports Wednesday's "The Lyon's Roar" pulled in 13.8 million viewers and a 5.3 rating among adults 18-49. That rating is the highest in that demo for a broadcast network drama since Grey's Anatomy in 2010. Every episode of Empire has also been able to draw in a larger audience than the previous one.
The Fox program is extending its reach beyond just television next month when the Empire soundtrack hits stores. The compilation features contributions from cast members as well as Mary J. Blige, Juicy J, Charles Hamilton, Jennifer Hudson, Rita Ora, Courtney Love, and Estelle.
I knew there was something going on when dude sent K. Michelle a bunch of sunflowers when she was in the hospital. It has now been revealed that Safaree is seeing the big booty singer. I think K's booty might be bigger than Nicki's boulder butt. They previously also had spent the Valentine's Day holiday together. I guess they are seeing other people, but what does that mean? This is just a damn silly fake reality show romance to get people talking. AND IT WORKS!
But. Yeah. With Meek and Nicki on a world tour, not a lot is taking away from their shine.
TMZ reports that the Love and Hip Hop star was taken into custody on two outstanding warrants for not paying child support. One warrant was for owing $12,000 and the other was for $188,000. The 43-year-old has been in custody since Feb 19th.
This isn't the first time Dollaz was hauled off to jail for child support woes. He was arrested back in October 2014 in New Jersey after an officer ran his plates so he could give him a ticket for double parking and found that there was a warrant for his arrest for not paying up.
Chamillionaire isn't riding dirty anymore. He's now an entrepreneur-in-residence for Upfront Ventures, an investment firm.
In a letter written by Upfront Ventures' investment partner Mark Suster, he detailed how his relationship with Chamillionaire began and how the "Hip Hop Police" rapper is flourishing into quite the entrepreneur. The Houston spitter caught Suster's eye after a 2009 speech about social media engagement in the music industry. He has since put his rapping days behind him and is now involved in startup companies.
A few years back he started many mini investments in tech firms with Suster, which led to Cham wanting to becoming more involved with the tech start up world.
"A while back Chamillionaire started telling me he wanted to immerse himself even more in the tech world – learning to build products, studying different business models and committing himself to being a true tech entrepreneur," Suster wrote. "Chamillionaire has a way more refined sense of what customer behavior is like than most ivy league graduates with nice Powerpoint slides that I meet."
Now as an entrepreneur-in-residence for the next several months, Chamillionaire is soaking up knowledge about start ups and is also advising Upfront Ventures along with his business partner and producer Nsilo Reddick.
"And while Cham is always the guy on stage blowing away the audience, Nsilo has always been the quiet, reflective guy in the background with all the answers," Suster said. "They make a great pair."
Tyga has publicly said he's not dating the Kardashian's younger sis, Kylie Jenner, although their actions say otherwise and Kanye West ran his mouth and confirmed the two are "in love."
Now Yeezy may be ok with the relationship, but according to RadarOnline Tyga's management is not and wants him to ditch the underage reality star before this ruins his career.
""Jenner, 17, has been "crying all week," an insider told Radar. "She is afraid that Tyga is going to break-up with her."
And it's with good reason, according to the source. "Tyga's advisers have told him to not be spotted out in public with Kylie doing anything romantic, including holding hands, or kissing," the source said. "Tyga has tried to reassure Kylie that they are solid, but she has her doubts."
Indeed, Tyga, 25, told Power 105.1 Tuesday that he's not involved with Kylie, after their alleged hook-up triggered a brutal war of words between Khloe Kardashian and Amber Rose, with Rose calling her a "baby."
By Friday, he had changed his tune, posting an instagram pic of Kylie.
And that same day, Kanye West insisted on Power 105.1 that the couple were "in love," and that he had "no problem" with the age difference.
Meanwhile, Jenner continues to spend "most of her nights at Tyga's house," the source said. "They are absolutely living together."
But according to the source, his team does not approve."
Do you agree with Ye'? Is the age difference cool or is Tyga wrong as hell?
In a post on his official Facebook page, Afroman announced he will continue to record music and shoot videos, but his days of hitting the stage are apparently over. The on stage incident prompted the California native to take anger management classes.
Afroman wrote in part:
I've been rapping professionally since the year 2000. Early in my career I have had problems with people jumping on stage grabbing the Mics , spilling beer , on equipment and ruining a show . I had a special clause put in my performance contracts that demands security watch stage and politely discourage anyone from jumping on stage. In my 15 years of performing I noticed once one person jumps on stage 100 people jump on stage…
While I was paying unfair taxes working for the IRS I was also getting frustrated at a lack of security at a lot of my shows. We go over everything over and over again on the phone then when I performing the whole crowd jumps on the stage pours beer all over everything and I have to buy equipment the next day instead of make a profit. I figured everything would come together in due time I underestimated the frustration and anger in my life coming from everywhere and I tried to work and make everything work out. In my frustrating ambitious efforts ,the IRS , DEA , lack of security and other pressures in my life have busted my pipes to the point where I have disrespected another human being twice.
"I DID NOT UNLOAD A DEVISTATING PUNCH " LIKE TMZ LIED AND SAID I DID

Young man whoever you are I want to apologize again for throwing you off stage. I understand if you never ever forgive me also .

I no longer have the desire to perform for people . I will continue to record I will continue to make albums I will continue to make videos I will continue to make movies .
Forgive me my debts as I forgive my debtors . I want to thank all the fans that forgave me . At one point I hated Ofc. Wilson now I am Ofc. Wilson or catching a similar fraction of the type of hate he caught
Don't hate because you might become the victim of your own hate
Matthew 7:1 judge not that ye be not judged for what judgment you judge you shall be judged .
They asked my youngest daughter last year what she wanted for Christmas and she said my daddy home every day. On that note I happily retire . I love rapping I love my fans but I love my kids and my family more .

PND is signed to Drake's OVO imprint. Drizzy appears on his singles "Recognize" and "Over Here".
"That dude don't make me no check," said Brown about Drake. "I didn't make no record with him. He was just in the studio. He was a fan."
When Charlamagne Tha God asked Brown if he was friends with Drake, the performer replied, "Nah, I'm cool." The conversation then turned to CB's ex-girlfriend Rihanna and other famous men she could potentially date after him.
"With old girl – the first one. Who else is she gonna go to?" Brown asked. "Who else in this game she gonna go to? Some corny singing rapper?"
Brown later explained the competition of the game leads to envy in the industry. According to CB, that dynamic makes it hard to make genuine friends with other artists.
"Glory" becomes the third Hip Hop song to win an Oscar for Best Original Song.
Common and John Legend took home the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 87th Annual Academy Awards for their song "Glory" on the Selmasoundtrack. The song, which runs during the end credits of the film, was co-written by Rhymefest.
The award became just the third given to a Hip Hop song in the category following Eminem's win for "Lose Yourself" in 2002 and Three Six Mafia's for "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" in 2005.
During his acceptance speech, Common referenced a recent performance of the song in Selma and its modern-day relevance around the world.
"Recently John and I got to go to Selma and perform 'Glory' on the same bridge that Dr. King and the people of the Civil Rights movement marched on, 50 years ago," he said. "This bridge was once a landmark of a divided nation, but now it's a symbol for change. The spirit of this bridge transcends race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and social status. The spirit of this bridge connects a kid from the South Side of Chicago dreaming of a better life to those in France standing up for their freedom of expression to the people in Hong Kong protesting for democracy. This bridge was built on hope, welded with compassion, and elevated by love for all human beings."
"Glory" beat out songs from The Lego Movie, Beyond the Lights, Begin Again, and more. Common and John Legend's song was notably only one of two nominations for Selma, the other of which came in the form of a Best Picture nod.
Juicy J Tweets that his next album could be his last.
With his upcoming album, THC: The Hustle Continues, set for release at some point in July, Juicy J took to Twitter yesterday and hinted that he might retire from making music following the release.
The longtime Three Six Mafia rapper and producer signed a partial ownership and A&R deal with Wiz Khalifa'sTaylor Gang Records in 2011 and in one Tweet Juicy J plays with the idea of doubling down on the role, writing, "I been having thoughts about retiring from rap & becoming a CEO at a major label to help others in the music buisness." The announcement comes less than a month after news that J has been tapped as a co-executive producer on A$AP Rocky's next full-length.
Juicy J began with a reference to his Oscar win as a part of Three Six Mafia in 2005 and ended the Tweets by writing, "music money fame etc. is a job but it's not real life."
A family source tells USA Today the procedure is not any indication on the decision to take Brown off the life support ventilator. The breathing tube is removed to prevent the patient from getting an infection.
"If the expectation is she's going to be on for weeks, months – who knows how long, the best way to deliver oxygen to the lungs is through the tracheostomy," Lenox Hill Hospital's Dr. Jordan S. Josephson tells USA Today. "It's a protective measure. There may be a slight scar, but in most cases that's it."
Tracheostomy refers to the hole left in the throat after a surgical procedure to create a direct airway to the windpipe. Dr. Josephson says this will not affect Brown's ability to speak.
CNN sources reveal doctors are attempting to slowly lift Brown from the coma. There has been no official update to her medical status, but Bobbi Kristina's aunt Leolah Brown has stated her niece is doing better.
"There are so many signs showing us that she will be okay, despite what people are saying over the Internet," Leolah said.
Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of musical artists Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her home on January 31. She was later taken to the hospital.
Suge Knight was taken from jail to a hospital due to a stomach issue.
Suge Knight was rushed to the hospital after suffering from a stomach issue today (February 19), according to TMZ.
Knight was due to appear in court today but fell ill before he was transferred from jail to court, where he was slated to appear regarding the robbery charge he and Katt Williams are facing after a September 5 incident in which they were arrested for the theft of a female photographer's camera in Beverly Hills, California.
As a result of the arrest, Williams faces seven years in custody while Knight faces 30 to life in state prison.
According to TMZ, part of Wiz's legal presentation will include photographs that prove Amber has the child in unhealthy living conditions. The website posted photos showing dog feces on a patio, a knife laying out on a counter, and trash cans overrun with garbage.
Afroman cites a heckling male fan as the primary reason for the incident.
After news broke yesterday that Afroman struck a woman on stage during a performance in Biloxi, Misssissippi, the "Because I got High" artist spoke with TMZ to offer his side of the story as well as an apology for the female fan, who has since filed a citizen's arrest on the artist.
During Afroman's conversation with TMZ, the rapper cited a string of personal frustrations as well as pointing to a heckling male fan as the primary reasons for the incident.
"I wanna apologize for my actions," Afroman says. "I'm enrolling in some anxiety foundation right now… I love my fans. I go early these days to meet and greet them, hang out with them. It was an early show. I usually play at night and I've had my dinner, I medicate and I get right. But it was an early show [and] it was Mardi Gras. I had to walk like a half a mile to get to the place. I had my frustrations to make a long story short.
"I had a guy that was on the side of the stage, he was yelling at me, yelling some obscenities I don't wanna really repeat," Afroman added. "But these girls got on stage and I asked them to leave, I was trying to keep rapping. One girl left and I thought both of them left and the guy was still over there hollering from the side of the stage. So as I'm playing I'm thinking it's the guy starting [to] heckle. When people get on stage you don't know what they're doing [and] you don't know what's gonna happen next. I'm just trying to do my job. I thought it was that guy… It was wrong."
When Lil' Wayne tweeted that he wanted off Cash MoneyRecords, he shook up hip-hop. He called that record label home since his pre-teen years and fans were shocked that there was trouble in such a seemingly harmonious business and personal relationship. Wayne shocked us more when he slapped Birdman with a $51 million lawsuit over unpaid advances and the stalling of the Tha Carter V. Now, Wayne has broken his silence.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, he spoke on the drama with the man who formerly referred to as his daddy. Weezy said they are not speaking right now. "I have no words," he said. "I'm super-numb to it, to tell you the truth."
The Young Money captain also further confirmed that Tha Carter V is done and that he is still eager to release it but can't. "It's super-done," he said. "Cake baked, icing on top, name on top, candles lit. I would have released it yesterday if I could. But it's a dead subject right now. It's a jewel in the safe. It's that stash-house money."
Earlier this month, Wayne revealed via Twitter that he would be dropping a free project, The Free Weezy Album, to keep fans satisfied until the wait for The Carter V is over. The album, which he is putting in 12-hour shifts to record, will be released in March.
"I'm working on it every day, man," said the 32-year-old. "I guarantee it's going to be something dope. If you don't want a musician being creative, don't get The Free Weezy Album."
Wayne also spoke on his previous comments about retirement. "I've thought about it," he said. "But for a person like me that bleeds, eats, sleeps and shits music, it's hard to do."
Nick Gordon says that the Houston and Brown family have forbade him from seeing Bobbi Kristina as she remains in Atlanta's Emory University Medical Center on life support, according to reports. Gordon's lawyer, Randall Kessler, released a statement Wednesday (Feb. 18) saying that he has not visited his girlfriend because her family doesn't want him to.
"Nick has been trying, privately, to do everything he can to see Bobbi Kristina cooperatively," Kessler said. "He has respected the family's wishes and for that reason alone has not returned to the hospital and risked a public confrontation. But he desperately wants to be with the one he loves and continues to hope that his request will be granted."
The 21-year-old's family told TMZ that Gordon has not made a single attempt to be by her bedside and that the pictures he took in front of the hospital recently were just for show. Published reports have alleged that Bobby Brown's family has threatened to put "hands on him" if he showed up.
Gordon is currently being investigated for any involvement in Bobbi Kristina being found unconscious because marks and bruises were found on her body.
There have been reports about the Houston and Brown family taking Bobbi Kristina off of life support but they have yet to confirm anything. She was found face down in her bathtub at her Atlanta condo on Jan. 31st.
Celebrity Apprentice runner-up Geraldo Rivera has some ill feelings about hip-hop.
During a sit down with Josh Zepps on HuffPost Live, Rivera said that hip-hop has had more of a negative affect on the minority communities than racism.
"Hip-hop has done more damage to black and brown people than racism in the last 10 years," Rivera told Zepps. "When you find the youngster, a Puerto Rican from the South Bronx or a black kid from Harlem, who has succeeded in life other than being the one-tenth of one-tenth of one percent that make it in the music business, that's been a success in life walking around with his pants around his ass or with visible tattoos."
He also took aim at Russell Simmons, saying that he should own up to the fact that by encouraging the hip-hop culture, he has played a role in minorities letting it destroy them.
"This whole ethos, and I love Russell Simmons – he's a dear friend of mine, I admire his business acumen – at some point though, those guys need to cop to the fact that by encouraging this distinctive culture that is removed from the mainstream they have encouraged people to be so different from the mainstream that they can't participate other than the racks in the garment center and those entry level jobs," Rivera said. "I lament it; I really do. I think it's been very destructive culturally."
A 21-year-old man of Philly named Rymir Satterthwaite is claiming that Jay and his mother, Wanda, were involved in an affair in the '90s and he was conceived. According to the National Enquirer, Satterthwaite says that Jay did everything to hide that he may have a child and he accuses him of lying to the courts to avoid taking a paternity test.
In 2011, Satterthwaite's mother took Hova to court to try to force him to take a paternity test after one man was proven not to be her son's father but the case was dismissed because the judge said that the court had no jurisdiction over Jay Z. No paternity test was given.
Satterthwaite's legal guardian, Lillie Colley, filed a civil lawsuit in December 2014 claiming that the "Picasso Baby" rapper gave the judge false and fraudulent information regarding where he lives to get out of taking a DNA test. The suit says that Jigga claimed he lived in New York instead of New Jersey, where he owns three homes, and lied about his New York address as well.
DMX and RZA appeared in court last week in separate paternity cases. DMX had requested a paternity test to determine if he is the father of a three-year-old in Buffalo, New York. The test returned 99.99% chance that X is the father of the child. The rapper's lawyer requested another…

"Law enforcement tells us, it happened last Wednesday, after Ray J returned to his hotel after spending the night with TV producers at a strip joint. Ray — who stars in "Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood" with Princess Love — told cops Princess went ballistic and attacked him, cracking several ribs, busting his lip open and tearing his ACL.
Someone in the hotel told cops they heard Princess scream, "I'm gonna kill you."We're told Ray J ran out of the room and a hotel security guy saw him bleeding and called 911. We're told Princess was arrested and booked for domestic abuse and battery. And sources say Ray J himself bailed her out and paid $10K for her lawyer."
Ol' girl must have put hands on Ray…call big sis Brandy in to handle up!
clear there is still some tension between Amber Rose and her estranged husband Wiz Khalifa. TMZ is reporting the rapper now wants more custody of their son. The site claims Wiz is preparing to file legal documents stating Amber is a bad mother.
Tyga has a lot on his plate. He is now involved in a full blown beef with former YMCMB label mate Drake and is getting backlash for hanging out with 17-year-old Kylie Jenner. Many have speculated that he is dating the teenager after being spotted alone with her on several occasions. His ex-girlfriend Blac Chyna's BFF Amber Rose publicly slammed him last week for allegedly being in a relationship with her.
"He should be ashamed of himself," she told The Breakfast Club. "That's ridiculous. He has a beautiful woman and a baby and left that for a 16-year-old that just turned 17."
T-Raww recently spoke to The Breakfast Club to set the record straight on his relationship Jenner.
"No, I'm not dating Kylie," he said. "I wanna be clear to everybody, I didn't leave my family to be with Kylie. That's ridiculous."
The rapper also compares herself to Mother Teresa for how she's handled adversity.
Nicki Minaj has been seen with Meek Mill a lot lately and there is some speculation that the rappers are dating. However, in a recent interview with Vogue, The Pinkprint rapper says she is single. She expresses surprise at people's reactions to her relationship with the MMG rapper.
"This is what I want to say about him: People think for some strange reason that we just started becoming friends recently," she says. "We've been friends for a very, very long time, and he's been around for a lot of things that I've gone through."
Minaj also addresses the consequences of her hard work. She says she is planning on taking time for herself before she begins The Pinkprint Tour in March.
"I did get exhausted last year," she says. "I promised myself that when I put out Pinkprint, I would take some time to live my life and not care what other people said about me. I find that people feel like they know what I've gone through in the past two years, and they don't. I've seen so much judgment. If people knew what I've really gone through, they'd think I was Mother Teresa. I've taken so much shit, so much betrayal, and I still remain classy about it."
Bobby Brown has reportedly decided to take his daughter Bobbi Kristina off of life support at the end of this week. She has been in a medically induced coma at Atlanta'a Emory Hospital after being found face down in her bathtub on Jan. 31st.
A source toldRadar Online that Brown came to this decision after talking with Whitney Houston's family and that he is praying that she survives. It was recently reported that the 21-year-old would be taken off of life support on Feb. 11th, which was the anniversary of her mother's death, but it was later revealed that those reports were false. Last week, Bobby Brown's sister, Leolah, told FOX Atlanta that Bobbi Kristina was "doing well" and that her condition was "improving."
How Bobbi Kristina came to be unconscious is currently being investigated.
Look at what TMZ is reporting? I don't know about TMZ…they said the Floyd/Manny fight was made, that Bobbi Kristina was coming off life support and now this.
A brawl erupted between a group of guys who picked a f!ght with Rick Ross and Meek Mill at a club Friday night … so claim eyewitnesses who say the rappers got physical during the "All Star" weekend scuffle.
The eyewitnesses say the guys who picked the f!ght seemed to object to Ross and Mill being on their turf at NYC's Liberty Theatre.
We're told Meek threw a few punches and Rick seemed to confine his activity to pushing. On the other hand, we're told Rick's bodyguards took care of business.
Ross was hosting the party and in the video you see Rozay standing near the f!ght.
The party was also attended by Oklahoma City Thunder player Dion Waiters.
Meek Mill may be fighting people at parties, but his bae might just be flexing at the NBA All-Star Game Halftime Show tomorrow. Earlier today, A photo of the Young Money first-lady's microphone popped up on the NBA's Instagram account, according to Complex. The official headliner of the show is Arianna Grande, but don't sleep on this hint.

Confidenti@l is told that the "Drunk in Love" star has been warning Jay Z that his volatile pal and collaborator Kanye West is a threat to the couple's carefully crafted image. A source close to the pair says she was quick to point out that West proved her point with his antics during and after Sunday's show.
Another source tells us that during the broadcast, Bey "disappeared" while Jay Z, West, Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift were talking to one another.
"Beyoncé's pissed at Jay Z for allowing Kimye so close to them," says our industry insider. "Beyoncé and her team have worked very hard to put out the exact image they want out there — it's super-controlled and managed and manicured. So for Kanye to jump up on stage without it being planned or part of a discussion is exactly the type of drama Beyoncé did not want with Kim and Kanye and the tabloid lives they live."
The source says that by Monday barely anyone would have remembered that Beyoncé's self-titled album didn't win, but because of Kanye's fireworks, "she's been dragged into a national spotlight over whether she is as artistic as Beck, and it's been pointed out all over the Web how many producers she has on her songs, and writers."
"It just sort of overexposed her for no reason and kind of diminished the pedestal she sits on," says the insider. "Jay is very loyal to Kanye, but it's the Kim and Kanye drama that Bey has always requested they avoid," the source added. "This isn't a totally malicious or a big fight, more of an 'I told you so' from Bey to Jay."
Beyoncé Fears Kanye West's Antics Will Bring Image Trouble
NY Daily News
When Beck's name was called rather than that of West's friend Beyoncé, Kanye had begun to climb the stairs to the stage. It appeared to be a repeat of, or a joking reference to, his incident at the 2009 VMA Awards.
In that debacle, he took the mic from Swift to announce that Beyoncé should have won Swift's award. Kanye returned to his seat but later told E!, "What happens is when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration."
On Wednesday on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, West explained his latest stage invasion, saying he'd heard people screaming, "Kanye! Go do it!" "These were voices in my head," he added. "Then I just walked halfway up the stage. What I really wanted to do was joke around with what had happened before, but I didn't want to take away from Beck's moment or the time he had to talk ... so I just walked back down. It was kind of a joke, like the Grammys themselves."
But was it really a sneak diss tho? Anywho, the tweet has since been deleted and hopefully the former homies don't run in to each other anytime soon, obviously catching a fade is inevitable for Tyga at this point.
Kanye West has been the topic of conversation following his recent Grammy rant regarding Beck's win over Beyoncé for Album of the Year. Now the singer's lead touring guitarist, Bibi McGill, has weighed in with a rant of her own regarding the incident. Taking to her Facebook account, McGill claims that both Bey and Hov have distanced themselves from Ye in recent years. Though the post has since been deleted, it's fueled the fire for those who claim there's a growing rift between them. Take a look at the original post below:
Toronto-emcee, Drake released a surprise album tonight (February 12) entitled If Youre Reading This Its Too Late. The album is currently available on iTunes.
Speculation that the OVO captain would release a surprise mixtape began earlier today when DJ Skee Tweeted, "BTW, Drake should be dropping his mixtape tonight."
It's been a busy week for Drake. In an interview with BattleRap.com, Murda Mook confirmed today that he nearly battled the Toronto-native during KOTD's Blackout 5 last weekend. Rap-a-Lot Record's CEO, J. Prince also threatenedPuff Daddy, Suge Knight, Birdman and Slim in defense of Drake.
Lil' Wayne's oldest daughter Reginae Carter has been growing up right before our eyes and has finally turned 16. Her sweet 16 extravaganza was held back in December but MTV was there to catch the fanciful festivity on camera. The network is bringing back its My Super Sweet 16, which is celebrating 10 years, and Reginae will be on the premiere episode of the new season.
In the trailer below, the former OMG Girlz member is focused on throwing the biggest birthday bash that Atlanta has seen. By the looks of the clip, it looks like she might have succeeded. There are flashes of the "No Flex Zone" duo Rae Sremmurd, Nicki Minaj and of course her father Lil' Wayne.
Tune in on Feb. 16th at 7 p.m EST to see if Reginae was able to stunt like her daddy.
Dr. Dre allegedly never asked Suge Knight for permission to include his likeness in the forthcoming N.W.A biopic.
Suge Knight's portrayal in the upcoming N.W.A biopic "Straight Outta Compton" led to the fatal hit-and-run last month, according to TMZ.
The publication reports that Dr. Dre never asked the former CEO of Death Row Records for permission to incorporate his likeness in the film, and this subsequently led to the parking lot incident where Suge Knight reportedly struck three men with his vehicle, injuring two and killing his alleged friend, Terry Carter.
"Sources connected to Suge tell TMZ ... he got word he was included in the film, and wanted to talk to Dre about how he was being portrayed," the article says. "As we've reported ... Suge's friend Terry Carter helped set up the meeting.
"As for what Suge was so worried about -- a new trailer for the movie was just released, and there is a character whupping someone's ass in a studio ... who looks just like Suge," TMZ adds. "Suge and Dre's sit-down never happened because Suge got into a fight with actor Cle "Bone" Sloan ... and eventually backed up over him and Carter."
"They're serious," David Kenner said when asked about Suge's health issues. "We filed a motion today as the first step to get an evaluation by the medical staff at the jail. After we have that we're going to be reporting back to the court, so that court can make a determination as to having a private physician evaluate [him]."
The world watched in horror as Kanye West approached the 2015 Grammy stage during Beck's speech for winning Album of the Year.
Yeezy quickly left the stage and everybody laughed it off as a joke, but Ye' has come out and said he wasn't playing, Beyonce' should have left with that award.
G.O.O.D. Music's John Legend says he although Kanye is his friend he disagreed with his actions.
"I want to clarify my thoughts on Kanye's actions at the Grammys on Sunday. First of all, Kanye is my friend. He believed in me years ago when very few did, and I wouldn't be here without his support. That doesn't mean we'll agree on everything, but it does mean that I am grateful to him. And I also believe he is one of the most gifted people I've had the privilege of working with.
In my comments to US Weekly, I said that when Kanye walked up on stage, mimicking his interruptionof Taylor Swift's VMA acceptance speech, then turned around as if he was just playing, most of the room including me saw this as funny, as a way of taking the piss out of himself for his infamous behavior several years ago.
When I said that was funny and people should lighten up about it, that's what I meant. I wasn't referring to Kanye's comments after the show which I have now seen and heard. I disagree with those comments. Beck is indeed a true artist's artist. He's a multi-instrumentalist, a creative and unique singer-songwriter whose music I have bought and enjoyed over the years. While his win may have been a surprise to many, it's not because he's not a great artist deserving of recognition. All of the other nominated artists, including Beyonce, are incredible in their own right, and arguments could be made for any of them deserving to win. This is not an objective process. It's completely subjective, in fact. We can all debate who we thought should have won. But even if you didn't vote for him, plenty of our colleagues in the music business did. These voters are all creators who love music and have dedicated their lives to it, and the plurality of them chose Beck as the Album of the Year. I respect their decision and congratulate Beck on this outstanding accomplishment."
Hip Hop oozes from his lyrics and soul drips off his voice. He is John Legend, born John Stephens, the voice on Jay-Z's "Encore", Alicia Keys' lead single "You Don't Know My Name", and Talib Kweli's upcoming single "I Try". He was all over Kanye West's debut album The College…
"We're here in support. We appreciate everyone's prayers, we appreciate it all," Bobbi Kristina's cousin Shayne Brown told Revolt about the vigil. "The purpose tonight was for everyone to pray and come together as one. To be happy, smile and pray for Krissi. That's all the family is concerned about right now."
There have been reports that Bobbi Kristina will be taken off life support on the anniversary of her mother's tragic death (February 11), but Brown's aunt Leolah Brown told Fox 5 Atlanta the hospitalized 21-year-old is actually doing better.
"There are so many signs showing us that she will be okay, despite what people are saying over the Internet," Leolah said. "Krissi is fine as I sit here before you today."
She later added, "Krissi is doing well right now. She is."
The aunt also revealed Bobbi Kristina is opening her eyes and doctors have told the family she is improving. Brown was found unresponsive in a bathtub and later placed in a medically induced coma. She is still on life support at the moment.
With the Baby and Lil' Wayne not being on good terms right now, it seemed like YMCMB's resident rapstress Nicki Minaj was taking sides when Birdman was turned away at the door when he arrived to her pre-Grammy party at LA's 1Oak on Feb. 8th. It turns out that there's no bad blood, Baby just arrived at the wrong time.
The no. 1 stunna and his crew arrived to the club at 1:45 a.m and were denied access because they wanted to order bottle service, which isn't allowed after a certain time. Nicki had also left the club by this point, so she had no idea that Baby had issues getting in. It was also close to closing time and security was not letting anyone else in.
Though Weezy wants to take Drake and Nicki Minaj with him when he jumps the Cash Money ship, the two Young Money comrades are hoping that the two can settle their beef.
The buzz behind the project fizzled out but now, the info is receiving another boost courtesy of producer Detail.
At the 57th annual Grammy Awards, Billboard caught up with the "Drunk In Love" co-producer, where he spoke about winning an award for his contribution to the song and disclosed details regarding Jay and Bey's rumored album.
"I'm working on a couple of new projects that I don't want to unveil and me and Beyonce and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year," he says. "When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think album, you should already know... In my imaginary mind, I would work to say that it's true."
Jay Z and Beyonce have remained mum about the rumored album. But news of Hov purchasing streaming company Aspiro could mean that the couple is looking to release the project in an unconventional manner.
Last year, DJ Skee announced on his DASH Radio platform that Mr. and Mrs. Carter were working on an album together. Skee said that he had heard the news from a couple of sources and that the project would be released last year.
Despite his health issues, a judge orders Suge Knight to remain in jail until his hearing on March 20.
Attorney David Kenner provided an update to TMZ on the status of Suge Knight, during a press conference held this week. According to the former Death Row Records CEO's attorney, Suge's health issues are considered "serious" and he's currently in the process of being evaluated by the medical staff at the jail he's present at.
"They're serious," Attorney Kenner said when asked about Suge's health issues. "We filed a motion today as the first step to get an evaluation by the medical staff at the jail. After we have that we're going to be reporting back to the court, so that court can make a determination as to having a private physician evaluate [him]."
Attorney Kenner was later asked if Suge's health issues have the potential to be life-threatening. He didn't offer a yes or no answer, but did reveal that the blood clots Suge suffers from have the potential to be life-threatening.
"Blood clots are always potentially life-threatening," he said. "Wherever they might be. They're not always life-threatening. And people live with them for years. But if they break away from where they are and get to the heart, you're dead."
The situation became even more volatile when Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against the label. Then over the weekend Cash Money co-founder Bryan "Birdman" Williams (aka Baby) was denied entry into a Nicki Minaj party which ignited rumors the "Feeling Myself" rapper blocked Birdman from the venue out of loyalty to Wayne.
TMZ spoke to sources supposedly close to Minaj who are claiming that was not the case. According to the source, Birdman was stopped from entering Los Angeles' 1OAK because the club was set to close in 15 minutes. Plus, Minaj had already left the location before the Cash Money head arrived.
Insiders also stated that both Nicki and Drake were looking to remain neutral in the legal battle between Wayne and Cash Money. Wayne wants the two platinum selling entertainers to remain under his business umbrella if he were to break from Cash Money. Drizzy and Minaj are apparently hoping the issue is settled without a total collapse of YMCMB.
Nicki spoke about the public dispute between her bosses before Wayne filed his lawsuit. In December she stated, "I know that Wayne and Baby love each other, and I know they're gonna resolve anything that gotta be resolved. Shout out to Young Money. I am Young Money. I ride with Wayne on whatever. But Baby has played such a huge role in my mental stability."
To complicate the matter even further is the fact that Wayne's management also has Nicki as a client. The Blueprint Group's co-founder Cortez Bryant has already publicly backed Wayne in his efforts to split with CMB.
"Wayne carried Cash Money on his back for over 10 years when he could have left and did this on his own," Bryant wrote on Instagram. "The most loyal person I know on earth! He don't deserve the s**t he's going through at this point in the game."
Empire has already been picked up for a second season.
FOX's hit show Empireappears to be gaining new fans each week.
The Hip Hop-themed TV show has just broken a ratings record that is more than two decades old. According to Fox, Empire is the only primetime scripted series to grow in total viewers over each of its first five telecasts since at least 1991.
Entertainment Weekly has also reported that for the first two weeks with total DVR data available that Empire is averaging 14 million viewers and a 5.6 rating among adults 18-19.
ABC's Who Wants to Be a Millionaire also achieved a similar feat through each of its first five telecasts in 1999, but the show was not considered a series at the time.
EW also states that the ratings record Empire just broke may have been in place longer than the 23 years Fox has publicized. Since Nielsen revised its measuring system 23 years ago, comparisons can only be calculated from that time period.
DJ Mustard was no where to be found Grammy weekend but not because he wasn't nominated. The west coast beatmaker was home with his newborn babygirl. Mustard and his fiancee, Chanel, welcomed their second child, Kauner, over the weekend.
Mustard took to his Instagram to gush over his new addition to his family.
The couple already has a two-year-old son, Kiylan.
"Music's Biggest Night" took place in Los Angeles on
Sunday. Hip Hop legend LL Cool J was on hand to host the festivities as the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences awarded numerous golden gramophones to musicians across all genres.
British singer Sam Smith was the big winner of the night. The "Stay With Me" performer won 4 awards including "Record of the Year" and "Best New Artist." Global icon Beyoncé had a good night as well. Mrs. Carter walked away with 3 Grammys. Those victories lifted her career total to 20, second most for a woman behind Alison Krauss (27).
Iggy Azalea went into the night as the favorite to pick up the "Best Rap Album" trophy, but she lost the award to Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Slim Shady was also honored with "Best Rap/Sung Collaboration" for his song "The Monster" featuring Rihanna.
Kendrick Lamar was famously shut out at the 2014 Grammys when Macklemore & Ryan Lewis swept most of the Rap categories. The TDE emcee got love from the Academy this year. He scored two awards – "Best Rap Performance" and "Best Rap Song" for "i."
Pharrell Williams 3 nabbed awards including "Best Urban Contemporary Album" (G I R L) and "Best Pop Solo Performance" ("Happy"). The evening's biggest surprise came when Beck's Morning Phase was announced as the winner for "Album Of The Year" over Beyoncé's Beyoncé and Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour.
"Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé," Kanye West says.
During Beck's acceptance speech for "Album Of The Year" at The Grammy's last night (February 8), Kanye West followed the singer onstage in what many imagined to be a repeat of his infamous Taylor Swift remarks at the 2009 VMA's. However, the Chicago rapper instead simply smiled and returned back to his seat.
Not long afterwards, Kanye, standing alongside his wife Kim Kardashian West, spoke with E! to address the situation.
"If The Grammy's want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us," Kanye West says. "We ain't finna play with them no more. 'Flawless' Beyoncé video. Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé, and at this point we tired of it. Because what happens is, when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration.
"We as musicians have to inspire people who go to work everyday and they listen to that Beyoncé and they feel like it takes them to another place," Kanye adds. "Then they do this whole promotional event, and they'll run the music over somebody's speech, an artist, because they want a commercial advertising. No, we not playing with them no more."
After word of Kanye's outburst hit the Internet, Beck spoke with US Weekly at Universal Music Group's after-party to weigh in on the situation.
"I was just so excited he was coming up," Beck said when asked about Kanye intruding onstage. "He deserves to be on stage as much as anybody. How many great records has he put out in the last five years right?"
Asked about Kanye's "true artistry" comments, Beck said: "You can't please everybody, man. I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."
Nick Gordon, the boyfriend of Bobbi Kirstina, has turned into the subject of a criminal investigation surrounding the fallen celebrity.
An alleged history of violence between Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon may be the source material for the latest developments in the case.
Several sources told TMZ that the authorities are looking for a possible coverup from Nick, who has reportedly gotten a lawyer.
A friend, Max Lomas, that visited the home when Bobbi Kristina was discovered says that he saw Nick cleaning up blood stains after administering CPR on Bobbi Kristina. Max and Nick have been co-operating with police, but Max allegedly wants immunity to further speak to them.
Presently, Bobbi Kristina remains in a medically induced coma.
"I tell everybody it's nothing, because it's really nothing to me," he says within the 2 minute clip. "What happened is, when I was little I had gotten into a little accident and it gave me congenital glaucoma in both of my eyes. The doctor saved one, I was blessed to still have my vision. That's it. That's the story."
Fetty also explained that he allowed the rumors to build-up before he decided to speak on it. Because he grew up in Patterson, NJ, Fetty explained that many people believed he was shot in his eye.
"I never got shot in my eye, basically it was a prosthesis and the song was getting hotter, the pictures were getting viral, I just let it build up, it wasn't nothing," he said.
Police reportedly received a tip that an associate of Brown's was carrying a firearm last night in Hollywood.
Chris Brown had his car searched for a firearm in Los Angeles last night, according to TMZ.
While the singer attended a pre-Grammy party hosted by T.I., police were apparently informed that an associate of Brown's was carrying a weapon when they arrived at a club in Hollywood. Police reportedly found and detained Brown's friend and searched the X singer's Lamborghini for the weapon but didn't find anything illegal.
Watch footage of the police search below:
Brown's latest encounter with police comes less than a month after his probation was revoked by a judge following a shooting at one of his recent performances in San Jose, Calif.
Hmmm Taraji has raised a few eyebrows after she somewhat threw some shade Nicki Minaj's way, saying that 'Cookie' character from Empire is inspired by Lil' Kim and Nicki got everything from the vet.
Taraji recently did an interview with Vogue on playing 'Cookie' and had this to say:
"Kim is everything. Today it's Nicki Minaj, but Nicki Minaj got everything from Kim. Kim came on the scene and made everything change for women—she made it feminine and sexy and hardcore. She was a champion, and she's certainly Cookie's champion."
Uh-oh. Sounds like shade to me. #butthatsnoneofmybusiness.
Meanwhile Kimmy loved the compliment from the actress.
Though there were reports that the Brown and Houston family were gathering to bid farewell to Bobbi Kristina Brown, Bobby Brown isn't letting her go easily. It's reported he is refusing to take his daughter off of life support, telling doctors that he is waiting on a miracle.
Doctors have told him that her condition will not improve and her brain activity is alarmingly low and pulling her off of life support would be the best option but Bobby isn't budging.
"It's now a matter of when the family wants to let go and accept that she's pretty much not going to make it," a source told FOX411. "They've left it up to the family as to how long they want to keep her alive."
Despite published reports, Brown released another statement through his lawyer dismissing reports that his daughter is brain dead.
"If we issued a statement every time the media published a false report regarding this matter, that's all we would be doing 24 hours a day," he said through his lawyer. "This is false, just as is the vast majority of the other reporting that is currently taking place."
The 21-year-old was transferred to Atlanta's Emory University Hospital on Feb. 3rd in hopes that she would receive better care and recover but she has not improved since being moved.
Mariah Carey's downward slide is becoming more apparent. While she's still a personal favorite, she is about to be inducted in the Struggle Hall of Fame if things continue like this. The singer, who is known for her crazy singing range, has reportedly banned cell phones from her shows. She has been caught lip-synching recently and she says no more! I don't know how credible "naughty gossip" is but this is what they are saying:
After all the lip syncing videos of Mariah Carey surfaced the diva has demands – "no more cell phones are allowed at my concerts."
"Mariah wants to hide the evidence but doesn't understand how difficult it is to get everyone to hand over their phones," a source tells NAUGHTY GOSSIP. "She is demanding NO phones at her Vegas show, or she will not perform."
I think I want Mariah to get back with Nick and smooth this out.
Rich Homie Quan's manager, Demonta Gibson details the negative impact of fraudulent bookings.
With his swift rise in the music industry, Atlanta, Georgia rapper Rich Homie Quan, like a number of artists, recently found himself the victim of booking impersonators. The musician's experience with these impersonators was recently detailed to XXL magazine by his longtime manager, Demonta "Monta" Gibson and a concert promoter who fell victim to the scam.
According to Gibson, who says fake bookings for Quan happened at least seven times in the past couple of months, he became aware of those impersonating the rapper and his management in order to scam promoters, about a year ago.
"About a year ago, people started contacting me on my DM in my Instagram and would ask me if Quan was booked in certain different places," Gibson said. "We thought we got to the bottom of that issue then. Then things started picking up at a different pace; we would get phone calls and people would pick the phone up and just start cursing, 'Quan missed my show last night'…It's becoming a thing. It has become a hustle for other people… And it's becoming a big issue, not just for Rich Homie but for a lot of different artists."
Chris Dual, a veteran booking agent, spoke on his experience with a person pretending to represent Quan. Dual, who came across the Rich Homie Quan impersonator via a fake Instagram account, lost several thousand dollars after dishing out a $12,500 deposit to the impersonator.
"The crazy thing was that everything matched up," Dual said. "It's becoming so… It's happening way too much, whether it's people on the inside doing it, or somebody else. It's kind of like marriage; it's gonna cost you a couple thousand to get the ring on her hand, and then it'll cost you $30,000 or $40,000 to get out of it."
In addition to Rich Homie Quan, artists like Drake and Nicki Minaj have also fallen victim to fake bookings and impersonators. And in 2013, an alleged R. Kelly impersonator upped the ante by performing as the singer at a show in Monroe, Louisiana.
Singer Bobby Brown and his family are gathering in Atlanta to prepare for final goodbyes to daughter Bobbi Kristina, according to reports Thursday.
The 21-year-old has been non-responsive since she was found facedown in a bathtub in her home Saturday — and doctors have allegedly told the family there's nothing more than can do to save her, People.com reported.
Jay-Z and Beyonce' were spotted out recently at a sushi restaurant in L.A. and supposedly got in to a small argument in front of a few diners.
Naughty Gossip reports:
"A diner in the restaurant reports, "They were sitting together and chatting for awhile, but then Jay-Z starting staring at his phone. Beyonce looked BEYOND pissed. She eventually said his name and wagged her finger at him. He didn't dare look at his phone for the rest of the meal.""
Queen Bey not playing no games. Look at that finger. She definitely gave Jay a piece of her mind, you know she was going in about something. SMH.
Representatives for Jay-Z have once again shot down reports that the superstar rapper/mogul has married his world famous girlfriend, singer/actress Beyonce Knowles. "The reports are not true," a member of the rapperÂs inner-circle told AllHipHop.com today (January 20). While the representative denied the claims, reports continue to come…
In a book by possible Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee entitled God, Guns, Grits, and Gravy, he called Beyoncé's music "mental poison." A new survey that was administered to other Republicans found that more than a handful of people agree with him.
In a Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register Iowa Poll, the question read "In his recently published book, Mike Huckabee criticized the singer Beyonce, calling her 'mental poison.' Do you think Huckabee is mostly right about Beyonce or did he go too far?" Forty percent of Iowa Republicans agreed with Huckabee's judgment of Mrs. Carter's music, 38 percent felt that he went too far and 22 percent said they were unsure if they should agree or not.
The poll also asked if Huckabee was wrong for bashing the Obamas for allowing their two daughters to listen to her music. In an interview with People magazine, Huckabee casted judgment on their parenting.
"I don't understand how on one hand they can be such doting parents and so careful about the intake of everything—how much broccoli they eat and where they go to school…and yet they don't see anything that might not be suitable," he said regarding B's music.
The question read "Mike Huckabee said the Obamas were guilty of bad parenting for allowing their daughters to listen to her music. Do you think Huckabee is mostly right about the Obamas, or did he go too far?"
This opinion wasn't favorable, as 60 percent of Republicans said he "went too far," 23 percent said he was "mostly right" and 16 percent said that they were unsure.
Fans have been waiting patiently for Tha Carter V and to show his fans appreciation for their patience, Lil' Wayne seems to be releasing a bevy of new music for free. He took to Twitter this morning (Feb.5) to announce that he is releasing The Free Weezy Album, a follow up to Sorry 4 The Wait 2, which was released two weeks ago (Jan. 20).
This isn't the only free album the Young Money general has up his sleeve. Word has it that Dedication 6 is on the way as well. DJ Drama announced via Instagram that mixtape was on the way, posting the caption "Sorry For The Wait 2. Carter V. Dedication 6." under a pic of him, Wayne and Mack Maine.
Tunechi is currently battling with Brian "Baby" Williams to be released from his contract at Cash Money Records, the label he has called home since he was a teen. Weezy filed a $51 million lawsuit against Baby, claiming that he owes him millions of dollars for his delayed Tha Carter V album. Wayne says since he was not paid the advances he was supposed to receive once the album was finished and the album has not been released, he is entitled to bail from the label.
There was some hope that Bobby Shmurda would be leaving New York's Rikers Island this week after his $2 million bail was posted last Friday (Jan. 30) by his "management associates." The bail application was reportedly withdrawn on Wednesday (Feb. 4) and no new hearing is scheduled, according to the special narcotics prosecutor's office for New York City.
"We're trying to do a new bond application and are in the process in figuring that out," said Bobby's lawyer, Kenneth Montgomery. "We're hoping to get it done within the next week."
Montgomery requested a special bail hearing for Feb. 2nd in efforts to have the $2 million reduced, but the hearing request was denied.
The "Hot N—-a" rapper and his GS9 crew were arrested at New York City's Quad Studios back in December 2014 and were hit with a slew of charges, including conspiracy, attempted murder, murder, reckless endangerment, weapons possession and criminally using drug paraphenalia.
When Suge Knight was rushed to the hospital after court in Feb. 3rd, it was reported that he suffered a panic attack. Unfortunately, it was way more serious than that. The former CEO was having a reaction to a potentially fatal blood clot.
The 49-year-old suffered from a blood clot in his lung when he was in jail in November 2014, which led to him falling twice while in custody. Knight began suffering from blood clots after being shot six times at 1OAK nightclub in Las Vegas last August.
Knight is currently receiving care at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center in Long Beach, CA and is on blood thinners. He has been handcuffed to his bed and is under 24/7 watch.
In September 2014, Amber Rose filed for divorce from Wiz Khalifa over irreconcilable differences. Amber will reportedly make $1 million from Wiz Khalifa, who is seeking joint custody of their son, as part of their prenuptial agreement.
Thugger isn't looking to follow in the Hip Hop mogul's footsteps.
GQ continues to unload interviews from its Legacy Project, which profiles 19 of the top music makers who've made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
Several Hip Hop artists have been included thus far, such as Rick Ross, Future, Nas and Pharrell.
Also included among those aforementioned artists is ATL upstart Young Thug.
Thugger's rise through the Hip Hop industry took off in 2013, when he signed to Gucci Mane's 1017 Brick Squad Records.
Now, the rapper tells GQ he would like to remain relevant forever.
"I'ma be here forever," Thug says in the Q&A. "I don't want to rap forever. But I want to be rich forever. I don't want to be 50 years old and rapping, man. I'm pretty sure nobody wants to do that."
Thug, born Jeffrey Williams, is currently 23-years-old. As he gets older, he believes the youth may not find him as appeasing, due to the generational gap.
Jay Z, who is 45-years-old, has proved otherwise, but Thug isn't looking to follow in the Hip Hop mogul's footsteps.
"If you're 30, 40 years old, you're not getting listened to by minors," Thug said. "Like, Jay Z has some of the sickest lyrics ever, but I would never buy his CD, just because of my age and because of his age. By the time I turn that old, I ain't gonna be doing what he's doing... I'm pretty sure Jay Z don't wanna rap right now."
Instead, the "Lifestyle" rapper hopes his career will pan out like Bill Gates' or Lil Wayne's.
Bobby Shmurda's lawyer says another bail package will be prepared shortly.
Bobby Shmurda's $2 million bail package has been put on hold according to the rapper's lawyer and a spokesperson for the prosecutor in his case. The 20-year old "Hot Nigga" rapper will remain behind bars for now.
Shmurda's lawyer, Kenneth Montgomery, told the Times that another bail package will be prepared shortly. "We're trying to do a new bond application and are in the process in the figuring that out," he said. "We're hoping to get it done within the next week."
Montgomery also called the $2 million bail "ridiculous" and downplayed his client's role as a GS9 member. "Bobby is not claimed to have shot anyone, he has no drug dealer weight on him," he said. "It's simply a gun case and some phone conversations."
The $2 million bail package was presented to the court on Friday by bondsmen Ira Judelson who has offered his services to the likes of Ja Rule and DMX, according to The New York Times. Judelson posted bail on behalf of Shmurda's "management associates" who offered him collateral in exchange. Notably, Shmurda's label Epic Records had no part in the bail package.
Shmurda has spent over six weeks in jail on charges including reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon, conspiracy to commit murder in the second degree, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Scottsdale police are looking to speak with Hip Hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs concerning allegations he attacked a club goer during a Super Bowl party last weekend. According to TMZ, a man named Steven Donaldson accuses Diddy of punching him in the face.
Video obtained by the website shows the accuser was constantly yelling at Diddy that evening. Apparently, Donaldson paid $100 to get into the venue and expected to see the "Victory" rapper perform. He also complained that Combs was late to the event and mostly remained in the VIP section.
Donaldson claims after he addressed Diddy, the Bad Boy Records founder punched him in the face. Security supposedly then tackled Donaldson and removed him from the party.
In the video, Donaldson can be heard calling Diddy an "a**hole" and telling him to "get the f**k on stage." The footage does not show Diddy striking anyone.
Donaldson later filed a battery report. Police were called to the scene, but Diddy had already left the club before the authorities arrived. Donaldson was reportedly found to be intoxicated

Sources say Suge had the panic attack a few moments after his hearing this morning at Los Angeles County Superior Court where he pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, murder, and two counts of hit and run.
Suge's $2 million dollar bail was also revoked. The judge ruled he is a threat and capable of intimidating witnesses if released due to his past history.
In case you haven't been keeping up, Suge is accused of running over actor Cle "Bone" Sloan and his friend Terry Carter who was killed.
His next hearing is scheduled for February 9, 2015. If convicted he will face life in prison.
As for the panic attack, this isn't the first time Suge has been rushed to the hospital while in police custody. Suge also passed out in a jail cell last November as due to blood clots.
This time, Suge experienced chest pains that lead up to a panic attack while sitting in the lockup area next to the courtroom. Fire department and paramedics were called.

Following a statement released by Bobby Brown regarding his 21-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, the Houston family has released their own revealing that "Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surround by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time."
Houston was found on January 31 by her estranged husband Nick Gordonwho proceeded to administer CPR until authorities arrived. The tragedy comes shortly before the three year anniversary of her mother's (legendary singer Whitney Houston) death, who was found in a hotel bathtub shortly before the 2012 Grammy awards. Those close to her have revealed that she took the death of her mother especially hard.
Though she is currently breathing with the help of a ventilator, the full extent of her injuries may not be known until the sedatives wear off, though sources close to family have advised that she may have suffered brain damage due to a lack of oxygen and have been told to prepare for the worst.

Knight reportedly struck three men with his vehicle. He allegedly injured two of them and killed a third, Terry Carter.
Knight is being held at Men's Centrail Jail, according to the report. He is slated to appear tomorrow (February 3) at Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The former Death Row Records owner has been charged with one count of murder, one count of attempted murder and two counts of hit-and-run with an allegation that he committed a serious and violent felony while out on bail in another pending case, the abc7 report says.
If convicted on these charges, he faces up to life in state prison, the story says.
Knight's bail was removed because he is a "possible flight risk, three-strike candidate, possible witness intimidation issues and his criminal past," Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Nicole Nishida said to the Los Angeles Times.
Suge Knight is facing felony murder charges for the
death of Terry Carter after the former head of Death Row Records allegedly struck the victim with his truck. According to TMZ, not only is Knight claiming he was "in fear of his life" that night, but he is now asserting he did not even know he struck Carter with his vehicle.
Sources told the site Suge has said he was bewildered from supposedly being attacked earlier that evening by 2 to 4 people. The 49-year-old California native also stated he was still weak from his shooting over the summer. As a result, Knight was not aware he hit anyone when he fled the scene.
There was also another person that was apparently hit by Knight's truck. Police are investigating if Knight purposely tried to run down a man that media outlets have identified as Cle "Bone" Sloan. Los Angeles County Sheriffs have said they spoke to witnesses that claim the hit-and-run appeared to be intentional.
Over the weekend, Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was rushed to an Atlanta hospital after being found face down in her bathtub in her home. Now it is being reported that the 21-year-old is brain dead.
"She lost oxygen to her brain for too long – she's not going to be able to recover," a source told MediaTakeOut.com.
While details are slowing emerging, her father, Bobby Brown, has issued a statement asking that the public respect their privacy during this tough time.
"Privacy is requested in this matter," the 45-year-old singer said in a statement to E! News. "Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time."
Though she is breathing with the help of a ventilator, it has been confirmed that Bobbi Kristina is not in a medically induced coma, which was previously reported.
A family source told People that her father is "inconsolable."
"This is his worst nightmare. Losing Whitney [Houston] was hard, but this is a million times worse, and to lose her in the same way would devastate him."
The source also revealed that Bobbi Kristina's recovery is possible but it would be a miracle if it happened.

Dr. Dre says a meeting with Suge Knight was never supposed to happen because of a danger risk.
An alleged meeting between Dr. Dre and Suge Knight to end their longstanding beef is apparently false.
According to TMZ, Dre "scoffed" at the notion that he was to meet Knight for the rumored peace summit to squash their beef. Knight allegedly brought up the now discredited summit after he became a suspect in the fatal hit-and-run accident that killed Terry Carter. Sources close to Dr. Dre say that the Hip Hop mogul/entrepreneur would never want to be around Suge because of the target on his back. According to people connected with Suge Knight, Carter had allegedly recently spoke with Dre and wanted him to return the movie set he was on just hours prior in order to make peace.
Knight was recently made a suspected party and later arrested for murder in a fatal hit-and-run that left his Terry Carter dead and another person injured. Knight was in an altercation with two men on the set of a film project that took place on the 1200 block of West Rosecrans Avenue prior to the incident.

Check out a screenshot of the 50's post below.
Shortly after, A$AP seemed to respond on Twitter, largely shrugging off the incident while telling 50 not to be a "jelous sugar daddy."
Before the incident, Holly posted what she claims was a text message exchange with 50 Cent in which she threatened to make public his habit of domestic violence. A screenshot of that deleted post is available below via All Hip Hop.
50 apparently responded in his own Instagram post, writing, "Public apology: this women is good person. She has been a great friend to me for a year. I enjoy seeing her grow and progress in so many ways in a short period of time."
