B. O. B. Earns His Fifth Platinum Single

B.o.B earns platinum certification for his second single off of "Strange Clouds."

B.o.B's single "So Good" has been certified platinum.

The track becomes the second single off of his recently released sophomore album Strange Clouds to surpass the million sales mark. The title track, which features Lil Wayne, hit platinum in February.

"Congrats to @BoBatl!!! #SoGood is officially PLATINUM w/ 1,000,000+ sold!!!," tweeted Bobby Ray's manager, TJ Chapman.

This marks the fifth platinum single that B.o.B has released, including "Nothing On You", "Strange Clouds", "Airplanes",

Strange Clouds, which hit stores last week, debuted at No. 5 on the charts with 75,000 copies sold.

Andre 3000 to Star as Jimi Hendrix in New Movie

(AllHipHop News) Outkast rapper Andre 3000 will begin shooting his highly anticipated role as Jimi Hendrix this month in Ireland.

IFTN reports that Andre 3000 is starring in the biopic titled "All Is By My Side."

The biopic will reportedly document the time Jimi Hendrix spent in England, as recorded his debut album Are You Experienced, while plotting his return to America.

"All Is By My Side" is being written and directed by John Ridley, the writer behind movies like "Red Tails," "Undercover Brother," "Three Kings" and others.

"All Is By My Side" will start shooting in Dublin and Wicklow, Ireland for six weeks.

RHOA: Sheree Whitfield is DONE!

Sheree Whifield confirmed that she will no longer be a part of the cast of Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta. Sheree has been on the reality show since its' start four seasons ago.

She explains:

"After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful 'Housewives' franchise, I have decided to leave."

"The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I'm tired of the fighting and the cattiness."

"I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy, but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck. I'm thrilled to say I'm now a free agent and am already fielding offers."

Respect to Sheree for leaving because her image was obviously getting played by the show's producers. Well, who is going to fill Sheree's spot? Rumor is that Ne-Yo's fiancee Monyetta Shaw will be joing the cast next season.

Acura wants black men who are "Not too dark"

The casting for Acura's superbowl commercial caused a stir after TMZ reported that the car company ask for an African-American who was "not too dark" for the salesman role. Now props to the guy who was chosen for representing black people well but what difference would it make if the role was casted to a dark, yellow, green or red American? None.

Acura released an apology today saying:

"We apologize to anyone offended by the language on the casting sheet used in the selection of actors for one of our commercials."

"We sought to cast an African-American in a prominent role in the commercial, and we made our selection based on the fact that he was the most talented actor."

"The casting sheet was only now brought to our attention. We are taking appropriate measures to ensure that such language is not used again in association with any work performed on behalf of our brand."

The way companies choose to market their products is getting crazier day by day. Know that everything you see and hear isn't real. Know your self-worth and practice a little more inclusion instead of exclusion.

RUMOR: Tupac hologram to go on tour?

2012 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival - Day 3

Rumor has it that Tupac will be touring in the new millenium... well at least his hologram. The Tupac Shakur hologram performance received an overwhelming response by the crowd at Coachella last weekend and video of the performance already has a few million views on Youtube. Apparently insiders are saying that Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are planning to take the act on the road. We think this would be the perfect place to for Tupac to perform his unreleased tracks.

According to CNN, the revolutionary hologram cost around $10 Million dollars to create.

The makers of Hologram Tupac, Digital Domain, call the task one of their most difficult saying:

"To create a completely synthetic human being is the most complicated thing that can be done. This is not found footage. This is not archival footage. This is an illusion."

The creation is sparking hopes of tours for fans of departed artists. We think a Biggie and Tupac reunion is just what Hip Hop needs.

Dick Clark dead at 82

Dick Clark, the creator and host of "American Bandstand" has died according to CNN from a heart attack at St. John's Hospital in California. Known as "America's oldest living teenager", he was born in New York in 1929 and began his career at a radio station that his father managed. He created "American Bandstand" in 1956 in Philly and went on to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter.
