TLC's former manager Pebbles is upset over how she is portrayed in "CrazySexyCool," a Vh1 biopic about the group.
TLC's former manager Perri "Pebbles" Reid is displeased with the way that she was portrayed in Vh1's CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story and is requesting retractions.
"This unprovoked attack has been extremely upsetting to me and my family," Pebbles says in an exclusive statement to tmz.com.
Pebbles says the film features "many false and defamatory statements and scenes" about her.
In the film, Pebbles appears as the group's manager. TLC members become upset when they feel they are not being paid fairly and ask that she no longer manage them.
Pebbles refutes the film's claims and says that she "discovered, managed and mentored" the TLC members.
Pebbles also released a statement about the film.
"First I want to thank all of you for the well wishes and prayers," Pebbles wrote in a statement, as per huffingtonpost.com. "I apologize for the delay in responding to the movie, but I wanted to gather my thoughts. I have always been a private person and this unprovoked attack has been extremely upsetting to me and my family. I have needed time to spend with my family and for personal reflection.
"The movie contains many false and defamatory statements and scenes about me," Pebbles continued. "Please know that I have never cheated or mislead anyone. I will defend my reputation, accomplishments, and character. My attorney is in the process of demanding a retraction of the false and defamatory statements and scenes about me from VH1."
T-Boz has spoken about Pebbles since the film was released.
