Santillian’s Aaliyah Thoughts
One of the things I remember Most about Aaliyah was how beautiful she was. I remember when the “One in a Million” video dropped and just watching it in awe. She had her signature look, with her hair covering on side of her face, dressed in all white. She was stunning.
Musically she had the ability to make men want her and make women want to be her. Her sound was soft but intoxicating …..something you could lose yourself in, i.e. “4 page Letter.”
Since she came on the scene at such a young age, we all got a chance to watch her grow up. I believe, “Age aint nothing but a number” came out when she was only 14 years old. I think that’s why so many people took her death so personally. It was like we lost a sister, cousin or friend that we had been kickin’ it with all these years.
Even today, 10 years after her death…….we miss her.
