Quentin Tarantino has dangled the prospect of his next project since 2012′s Django Unchained for over a year. During a recent press conference at the Cannes film festival, Tarantino divulged plans to turn the 2012 film into a miniseries for television.
According to Tarantino, he will use 90 minutes of unreleased Django Unchained footage for a planned miniseries consisting of four hour-long chapters. While Tarantino did not reveal how he will release the TV he does allude to the Netflix-style of binge watching where they release all the episodes of a TV series at once:
It would be a mini-series and people love those. You show people a four-hour movie and they roll their eyes. Show people a four-part mini-series and they’ll sit and watch it all in one sitting.
