OKC Reject Lil Wayne for a Courtside Seat?

As the Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the San Antonio Spurs last night in the NBA Western Conference Finals, a sub-story developed around Young Money honcho Lil Wayne. Weezy, claiming he was "denied by the team to be in their arena," caused a stir in the sports and hip-hop worlds. Now we have OKC's side of the story.

Talking to the Associated Press, Thunder spokesman Dan Mahoney confirmed that Wayne's representatives contacted the team for tickets, but he claims they were adamant that he receive a front row seat. A last-minute request, he relayed that there was no space because all seats, including the coveted courtside ones, were completely sold out. "We'd love to have him at a game," said Mahoney. "But like anyone else, he needs a ticket."

Young Money president Mack Maine told a different story to MTV News. "They said they'll give him some tickets on the front row behind, but they're not really tryin' to have him sittin' courtside," he complained after the game ended.

Oklahoma City has sold out every regular season and playoff game for the entire 2011-2012 season.
