Rapper Lil Wayne’s “DEWeezy” commercial will be the subject of an upcoming documentary that is slated to debut on BET this weekend.
The documentary follows the development of the “DEWeezy” commercial that was created as part of the New Orleans rap star’s deal with Mountain Dew.
Director Chris Robinson and Robot Films worked with Stoked, a “non-profit action sports youth development agency,” to create the commercial.
Stoked worked with 10 teenagers from the New York City area, who teamed with various industry executives, and employees from Mountain Dew, to co-create the :30 television commercial spot.
The making of Lil Wayne’s “DEWeezy” commercial with Mountain Dew is slated to air on BET on March 31 at 11:30 PM.
