First lady Michelle Obama hosts local children on the South Lawn of the White House as they attempt to break the Guinness World Record title for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period. The first lady announced in an e-mail on Dec. 12 that their world-record attempt succeeded with 300,265 people participating, shattering the old record.
