During an interview with Power 98.3′s Bootleg Kev, Def Jam recording artist YG announced that he is now officially aligned with Young Jeezy's Corporate Thugz Entertainment and that the Snowman will be executive producing his debut album I'm4rm Bompton. He says the LP will be dropping either at the end of the year or at the top of next year.
YG also talks about how he hooked up with Jeezy, his sound influencing mainstream artists, and that he will not be releasing any more free mixtapes until the album comes out.
If the news article's title is confusing, the story behind it does not help much either. Original members of the legendary group The Pharcyde are in the middle of a legal battle over the misuse of the group's name.
Romye Robinson (Bootie Brown) and Imani Wilcox (Imani) are suing fellow founding members Derrick Stewart (Fatlip) and Trevant Hardson (Slimkid3) in federal court in Los Angeles following an apparent breach in a previous agreement.
According to the lawsuit, Stewart and Hardson have been performing under the Pharcyde name even though both men left the group over 10 years ago and signed a 1997 recording contract which gave Robinson and Wilcox control of "names, likenesses and other identifying material, only in connection with the sale or promotion of recordings recorded under the recording contract as amended." The lawsuit attests that this transfer of group rights was agreed upon again following The Pharcyde's brief reunion in 2008.
Since then Stewart and Hardson have been booking shows under The Pharcyde name and allegedly scheduling shows in the same city Robinson and Wilcox were set to perform days before:
"These practices of the defendants have caused a great deal of confusion among consumers, with a likelihood of additional confusion at each stop of the plaintiffs' tour, and have cost plaintiffs revenue from consumers who might otherwise pay to see a Pharcyde performance, wrongfully believing that the legitimate concerts by plaintiffs will be the same show that just appeared in that city"
Hardson and Stewart are being sued for breach of contract, trademark infringement, violation of right of publicity, unfair competition, unjust enrichment, and injunctive and declaratory relief.
Kanye West has been criticized by the American Parkinson Disease Association for a line in "On Sight" off of his latest album, "Yeezus."
The American Parkinson Disease Association is criticizing Kanye West for a punchline used in "On Sight," a cut off of his latest offering, Yeezus.
Kathryn Whitford, Vice President of APDA, explained this criticism to TMZ.
"We find these lyrics distasteful and the product of obvious ignorance," Whitford shared.
APDA is the largest organization in the nation that is dedicated to the Parkinson's cause. APDA has worked for more than 50 years to advance research towards finding a cure.
Kanye West has yet to make a statement regarding the matter.
The line that APDA has found offensive can be found on "On Sight," where Kanye rhymes that he will "get this bitch shaking like Parkinson's."
Several rappers have used Parkinson's disease in their rhymes. Chance the Rapper's "Family" features a line that says, "buzzing like the game Operation with Parkinson's." Tyler, the Creator has used it on Earl Sweatshirt's "Couch" ("Got you niggas shakin' like it's Parkinson's from the clitoris of Kelly Clarkson's dick") and his own "Tron Cat" (Starve her 'til I carve her then I shove her in the Rover, where I cut her like a barber with a Parkinson's disorder"). Snoop Lion used it on "Eyez Closed," which featured Kanye ("My bitch bad and my diamonds still sparklin', got the competition shaking like Parkinson's") and Eminem used it on "Won't Back Down" ("Girl shake that ass like a donkey with Parkinson's, make like Michael J. Fox is in your drawers playing with an Etch-a-Sketch").
This is also not the first time Kanye West has been criticized by a charity group. PETA, or People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, criticized West for his clothing. When West later rhymed on "Theraflu" about telling PETA that his "mink is draggin' on the floor," PETA's senior vice president Dan Mathews responded. "What's draggin' on the floor is Kanye's reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings," Mathews said then. "He's a great musician but doesn't seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes."
Action Bronson & Harry Fraud take their first trip to the charts with "Saab Stories," as Prodigy & Alchemist's "Albert Einstein" chalks up an equation. Lonely Island knows how to sell a "Wack Album."
"SNL" goofballs Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone (as Lonely Island) touched the Top 10 with their third LP, The Wack Album. Kendrick Lamar, Too Short, and T-Pain joined a guest ensemble that also included Lady Gaga and Justin Timberlake. The Rap-Comedy album spawned singles such as the Teddy Bend-Her-Ass-assisted "I Fucked My Aunt," grabbing laughs and approximately 28,000 in sales for the Universal Republic mock-trio.
Action Bronson & Harry Fraud also made their introduction to the Top 200. While both artists are no stranger to appearing on high-selling efforts, this was a first to the underground Hip Hop vets. The VICE/Atlantic/Warner Bros. Records-backed Saab Stories sold nearly 8,000 copies in its exclusively digital presentation.
Action and Fraud's homies, Prodigy & Alchemist also made the list with Albert Einstein. The pair's second collaborative album (amidst a 15-year catalog of individual and Mobb Deep songs) was a benchmark for Prodigy's Infamous Recordings label. The indie effort sold just under 3,000 units in its first week at retail.
Daft Punk's Random Access Memories, featuring extensive involvement from Pharrell Williams, remained at #2, and achieved gold-certified status.
Action Bronson & Harry May Have Saab Stories, But No Sob Story
After two previous full-length albums released in 2011, Action Bronson's first major label effort finally earned him a spot on the charts. After signing with VICE magazine's Atlantic/Warner-distributed imprint, the Queens, New York emcee hopped the BQE to team up with longtime associate and Brooklyn native Harry Fraud on the Saab Stories EP. The seven-song effort featured the single, "Strictly 4 My Jeeps," with a jarring Jason Goldwatch-directed video in support of the song.
Prodigy & Alchemist's Albert Einstein Shares An MC2
Longtime collaborators Prodigy and Alchemist followed up 2007's Return Of The Mac with their second joint-album, Albert Einstein. The effort is believed to take its name from both artists' government names, Albert and Alan, respectively. Released on P's own Infamous Recordings, the album displays Alchemist's recent psychedelic influence, as heard on Russian Roulette and Gangrene'sVodka & Ayahausca albums—part of his banner 2012 "Producer Of The Year" takings.
The "Keep It Thoro" tandem invited guests ranging from the aforementioned Bronson to longtime Mobb Deep supporter Raekwon, and of course Havoc on "R.I.P." Alchemist also grabbed the microphone on "Bible Paper." While Return Of The Mac was a Top 40 debut, selling over 30,000 first-week copies six years ago, this self-released effort accomplished 10% of that, coming in at #175. This is Infamous Recordings' first charting release since 2011's Black Cocaine EP, the last project released by Mobb Deep.

While Chief Keef has been arrested three times in less than a month, he's also been served with two paternity suits in less than six months.
On Monday, it was reported that Chicago, Illinois rapper Chief Keef was arrested immediately following a court sentencing related to another arrest last month. While the Glory Boyz/Interscope Records rapper's lawyer alleged that the June 17 arrest was related to a trespassing charge, details were still pending when Keef was taken in custody from a sidewalk in Skokie, Illinois to a holding cell in the city's South Side.
Spin has now obtained additional info concerning this week's apprehension, the rapper's third in less than one month. Confirming that he was in fact charged with trespassing, Spin adds that Keef was served with a paternity test as he entered the courthouse to face Cook County Circuit Court Judge Earl Hoffenberg. Moments later, the judge would serve Keef with a $531 fine, 60 hours of community service and 18 months of probation. All of this transpired before the Finally Rich rapper was cuffed just blocks away.
The details concerning this new paternity suit are still emerging.
While incarcerated this January, Chief Keef, who is 17 years old, was served with a paternity suit by a junior high-school student in Chicago, who claimed, as an 8th grader, the rapper fathered her daughter.

However! There is a crazed rumor that Rihanna is looking to get her butt in some form of counseling to help her get over Chris Brown. Some site called Grazia Daily is making these claims so take it for what its worth.
The 25-year-old pop star is likely to begin the 12-step programme – which follows the same format as alcohol and drug rehabilitation – during her upcoming six-week break from her 'Diamonds World Tour' at The Ranch clinic in Tennessee.
"Rihanna is still desperately in love with Chris. It's like she's obsessed with him and, although he's told her it's over, she just can't get over him.
"After talking it through with a psychotherapist, Rihanna is now considering doing a 12-step programme to get rid of her demons."
The Ranch's 'Women's Love and Sex Addiction Treatment Programme' helps women with issues with "attracting troubled, addicted, abusive or otherwise emotionally unavailable partners" using treatments as varied as counselling and equine therapy.
Lil Wayne tells fans and patriots, "It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America." He claims the video clip was misleading from his artistic intent.
Video footage, courtesy of TMZ.com, surfaced of Wayne recently filming the video to "God Bless Amerika." The Cool & Dre-produced song, which appears on this year's I Am Not A Human Being II, contains lyrics "the stars on the flag are never shinin'." Wayne further stressed his opinion at the shoot to the song's music video. A witness captured a take where Wayne appears to intentionally dance on a fallen American flag. He tramples on the patriotic symbol for over one minute:
In the United States Flag Code, it is stated that the flag should never touch the ground, as well as "the flag should never be stepped on." While the code is federal law, there is no legal penalty for failure to comply.

UPDATE: Following yesterday's story and video footage of Lil Wayne apparently walking on the American Flag, the rapper asserts it was all an accident.
Wayne tweeted that he "didn't step on the flag on purpose!" Instead, the Cash Money Records superstar alleges that in the scene, the flag drops behind me, and "it's just there as I perform."
After the tweet, Wayne also further clarified using his Facebook page:
Wayne wrote, "It was never my intention to desecrate the flag of the United States of America. I was shooting a video for a song off my album entitled 'God Bless Amerika.' The clip that surfaced on the Internet was a camera trick clip that revealed behind the American Flag was the Hoods of America. In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal whats behind it but will never see it on the ground. In most people eyes including my own who were raised in that environment, the Hood is the only America they know and the only America I knew growing up. I was fortunate from my God giving talents to escape the Hood and see the other beautiful places this country has to offer but most people who are born in that environment don't get that chance. Rapper Drake has kept quiet about the fight with singer Chris Brown that transpired last year at a New York City night club — believed to be over his rumored fling with Brown's ex-girlfriend Rihanna - but in the latest issue of GQ magazine, the Canadian artist confesses he wishes he could talk to Brown about the incident.
"I hear he has everything he could want now," Drake told GQ, referring to the off-and-on relationships between Brown, Karreuche Tran and Rihanna. "I don't want my name to be synonymous with that guy's name. I really don't. I wish we could sit down, just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that's not going to happen."
The 26-year-old "Successful" rapper and Brown, 24, both partied at W.i.P night club in Manhattan last June, and supposedly sent rude messages and bottles of alcohol back and forth to each other. According to reports, Drake sent a note to Brown suggesting he had slept with Rihanna, 25. The exchanges led to a glass-shattering fist fight that left a bodyguard, the restaurant, basketball player Tony Parker, and Brown himself — all injured.
"I'm not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I'm not going to back down," Drake added.

Starz puts 50 Cent's series "Power" into production, with episodes on their way.
50 Cent has been named executive producer on the upcoming Starz television series "Power," reports Variety.
The drama centers on a "Gotham nightclub owner who skirts the line between legitimacy and criminality." Fif will co-executive produce the series with 300's Mark Canton and End of Watch's Randall Emmett. They have all previously worked together on Freelancers and 2013's The Tomb. Additionally, Courtney Kemp Agboh scribe (The Good Wife) will pen the script.
The G-Unit rapper-turned-actor will also soon star in the film The Frozen Ground as a 1980s-era pimp.

UPDATE: The HollywoodReporter has stated that Starz ordered its first episodes to be produced of "Power." The news broke late last week. The series is expected to air on the premium cable network beginning in 2014.
50 Cent reacted in a press statement. "This is a passion project for me, and I couldn't be more thrilled to have found a home with Starz. I look forward to working with this incredibly talented team on making 'Power' a hit show."
Starz CEO Chris Albrecht added, "[50 Cent] has a unique and specific vision for the series, lending it an authenticity and voice rarely seen."
Chief Keef was cuffed just blocks away from leaving Chicago's Skokie Courthouse with a fresh sentence involving probation, community service and a fine.
Tomorrow Chief Keef will be appearing on one of 2013's most high-profile albums in Kanye West's Yeezus. However, information surfacing today indicates that the Chicago, Illinois rapper may not be home to enjoy the fanfare. The Chicago Tribune reports that Keef was arrested today (June 17) for what is believed to be misdemeanor trespassing. The Trib also alleges that the Glory Boyz/Interscope Records artist is currently being detained on Chicago's South Side. Leah Starkman, Keef's lawyer is the one who hinted towards the trespassing charge.
If true, the arrest is Chief Keef's third in less than a month. On May 20, Keef was cuffed at Le Meridien Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia after the rapper was charged for disorderly conduct after smoking marijuana in his room. Just over one week later, Keef was arrested in Chicagoland, when his BMW SUV was stopped for doing upwards of 110 mph in a 55 zone, in addition to having too many passengers in the car on a Illinois Junior License. The latter offense brought the "Don't Like" sensation to Skokie, Illinois this morning for a traffic court date. Moments after the ruling, Keef was reportedly arrested four blocks away by Chicago Police.
At traffic court, the 17 year-old rapper was ordered to 18 months probation, 60 hours of community service and a $531 fine. According to the Class A misdemeanor, he could have faced up to one year in prison. "I sure hope I don't see you again, because if I do you better be ready to go to jail," Cook County Circuit Court Judge Earl Hoffenberg told the Finally Rich rapper.

Flavor Flav's Chicken & Ribs in Sterling Heights, MI has been ordered to evict from the premises after failing to pay rent since the day it opened in December 2012.
The legendary rapper has two other chicken joints that have come and gone. The rapper/hype man has seen the demise of one chicken spot in Iowa of 2011 and another in Vegas later in 2012.
Flavor Flav's Chicken & Ribs owes $25,000 and must pay soon or be kicked out. The amount is the total of rent, late feels and damages.
A Canadian model now admits she lied on Mr. West after saying that the rapper cheated on girlfriend Kim Kardashian with her.
Leyla Ghobadi was paid a reported $20,000 for giving the Star and exclusive scoop that said Kanye was cheating. Now, she has changed her story in a new interview with the UK Sun paper. The initial story broke Wednesday of this week.
She admits to a tryst but says it was before Kanye met Kim Kardashian.
"I was introduced to him at the Montreal concert. We met backstage as I knew members of his band. We ended up having sex at the Thompson Hotel," she told the The Sun. "He then flew some friends and I out to Toronto for his two concerts in the next two days. We had sex again there. This was all before Kim Kardashian and he never spoke about her. But what I do know is that Kanye is a Romeo — he can never be trusted."
Ghobadi initially said that she and Kanye had discussed Kim.
"He told me . . . he wanted to 'hook up,' but I was concerned that he was seeing Kim Kardashian," she had told Star magazine. "He told me that [their relationship] was for publicity and nothing serious."
Despite her admitted contractions and lies, she maintains that she knows Kanye's ways.
"He will never be faithful to one girl and has women falling at his feet all the time," she continued to the Sun.
She also claims that Kanye tried to reach out to her through his bodyguards.
Kanye denied the allegations from the beginning. A rep for the rapper/producer said, "This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news' sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives."
The attempted robbery of 2 Chainz in Northern California could have turned out to be much worse than what was originally reported.
Speaking with Atlanta's Hot 107.9, the rapper revealed that shots were fired during the attempt.
"I saw the gun first," explained 2 Chainz "It was like a .357. It was so heavy he couldn't really hold it. The gun was so big. That's what made me take off running."
The rapper continued to recall the robbery, which occurred in broad daylight. "When I went into the street, there was another dude with a whole 'nother gun," he added. "That's when I knew it wasn't like an episode of Punk'd. I was like this is real…I had bullet fragments in my hair…I think he thought he shot me."
Still, 2 Chainz is maintaining a positive attitude about the situation. "I'm just excited about life. I'm so turnt up, you can't turn me down," he said. "I'm just geeked about life. Then when I saw the footage, I'm like it was real. They was on my ass!' This was a sign. That's all it was. I come from this."
Kanye West becomes a father on Father's Day Weekend, as Kim Kardashian gives birth to the couple's baby girl a reported five weeks early.
It has been a busy first-half of June for Kanye West. Less than one week before his sixth solo album, Yeezus, will hit stores on June 18, West and girlfriend Kim Kardashian now welcomed their first child, a baby girl this morning (June 15).
Us Weekly reports that Kardashian gave birth in the last 24 hours, accompanied by West at Los Angeles, California's Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. The baby was expected in the first half of July, but was delivered nearly one month early. "[The baby girl's birth] five weeks early. Kim got sick last night and had the baby early," a source told the celebrity magazine. Us also reported that both the newborn baby and her mother are healthy after the delivery. The baby's name has also not been released to the public.
Kanye West, who was in New York earlier in the week, was in California when Kim went into labor. The superstar emcee/producer was expected at L.A.'s Milk Hangar last night (June 14) for a Yeezus listening event and party. However, West did not attend, after apparently accompanying Kardashian to the hospital.
Authorities say an outdoor deck behind a popular Miami-area sports bar has collapsed during the NBA Finals, sending dozens of patrons into the shallow waters of Biscayne Bay and critically injuring three people.
The Miami Herald reports that the accident occurred around 9:45 p.m. at Shucker's Bar & Grill as customers were watching the Miami Heat play the San Antonio Spurs.
WSVN-TV reports that 24 people were injured, three critically. There were as many as 100 people on the deck at the time. Customers fell into several feet of water from the deck of the sports bar, which is located in North Bay Village, north of Miami Beach.
NBC6 reports that Miami-Dade Fire rescue divers are on the scene.
Six years after Jay-Z sold his and Dame Dash's Rocawear clothing line to Iconix Brand Group and the once prominent clothing brand is now facing legal troubles. According to The New York Post, Rocawear is being sued by wholesale company iSource NYC for $450,000 of unpaid fees for shipping Rocawear clothing from Pakistan to New York City from April to June of 2012.
The deal to ship clothing from Pakistan to NYC between the two companies was agreed at a price of $1 million which Rocawear has since paid only half of. The wholesale company asserts that the clothing "were specially ordered goods . . . [with] the 'Rocawear' brand name imprinted on [them]."
While Jay-Z did sell Rocawear he maintained control of product development, licensing and marketing.
In his best Bill Clinton impersonation (sort of) Kanye West denies the recent claims from Canadian model/bartender, Leyla Ghobadi that her and Kanye had sex while he has been with Kim Kardashian.
Kanye's reps contacted TMZ to squash the rumor and chalks this one up to an overly opportunistic attention seeker:

This is not the first time Kanye and Kim have been involved in an adulterous love triangle. In a 2012 interview with Starmagazine, Kanye's ex Amber Rose called Kim a "homewrecker" and alleged that she cheated on her former boyfriend Reggie Bush with Kanye.
2 Chainz publicly denies reports of robbery or incarceration from this week's headlines.
Def Jam Records star 2 Chainz was the victim of a robbery yesterday afternoon (June 9) in Northern California. According to TMZ.com, the Atlanta, Georgia native formerly known as Tity Boi was with an entourage of 14 people yesterday at approximately 4:30pm in the vicinity of San Francisco, California.
While information is releasing, sources with the San Francisco Police Department told TMZ that they responded to the sound of gunfire. While 2 Chainz reportedly gave the assailant(s) his wallet, the Based On A T.R.U. Story album-maker opted not to provide authorities with additional information about the robbery and shooting. Reports at present indicate that nobody was injured.
2 Chainz has not released a statement on the incident. He was in the Bay Area for a Summer Jam concert. The Playaz Circle member did retweet a fan, who mentioned the shooting on Twitter:
A Georgia-centered news source, Everything Georgia, initially tweeted that the incident actually took place across the bridge in Oakland, California. The Twitter account with nearly 100,000 followers also claimed the robbery/shooting took place at a marijuana dispensary:

UPDATE: A member of 2 Chainz's entourage was robbed, but the rapper himself was not robbed yesterday (June 9) in San Francisco, according to the San Francisco Police Department, as per Radio.com. "He was not the victim of a robbery," San Francisco police said of 2 Chainz in a phone interview with Radio.com. "He was there, but he wasn't the victim."
The police said that one member of 2 Chainz's crew reportedly fell to the ground after a shot was fired and the group scattered. The member who fell was then approached by the suspect, "who robbed him of an unknown item and fled the scene," according to the police. The police also said 2 Chainz's crew is "being very uncooperative" in the investigation and that a suspect has not been located.

UPDATE #2: 2 Chainz was indeed robbed at gunpoint yesterday (June 9), according to the San Francisco Police Department, as per Radio.com. Police Spokesman Dennis Toomer told Radio.com that investigators informed him today (June 10) that 2 Chainz was in fact robbed, as was initially reported. Toomer said that 2 Chainz was robbed of his wallet and a cell phone.
Radio.com reported earlier today that a member of 2 Chainz's entourage was robbed, but that 2 Chainz himself was not robbed.
2 Chainz has not released an official statement about the incident, but he did discuss it, if indirectly, on Twitter.

UPDATE #3: 2 Chainz has refuted the robbery reports from earlier this week. Despite police claims, the recently-arrested rapper used Twitter this morning to tell fans that he was not robbed, and although reportedly arrested for narcotics, he is not currently in jail, as some sources claim. He sarcastically added, "Sorry if I disappointed anyone, maybe next time."
Lil Wayne also discusses his retirement plans, his daughter's new book and his seizures during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
Lil Wayne reiterated his intentions to retire during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last night (June 11). "I want to retire after Tha Carter V, which I hope would be my last album," Wayne says during the interview.
But the YMCMB boss, who has discussed retiring before, didn't specify when Tha Carter V is arriving. "My next album isn't Tha Carter V because I think I have to work on other albums with my pop Birdman and things like that. But, after Tha Carter V, I hope I can retire."
Kimmel then asked Wayne what he would do when he did retire. "Everything that I've never had a chance to do," Wayne says. "Regular stuff. Drive your car down the street...Things like spend quality time with my kids."
Wayne and Kimmel then shared a laugh when Wayne couldn't remember the title of the book his teenage daughter wrote with Birdman's teenage daughter. Wayne's daughter Reginae Carter wrote Paparazzi Princesses with Birdman's daugther Bria Williams. The book was released June 4.
The conversation was more serious when Kimmel asked Wayne about his recent rash of seizures. Wayne, who referred to his seizures as "a private medical matter that I've been dealing with my whole life," says one of the seizures was particularly problematic. "That one was serious because the house that I was in has an upstairs and a downstairs," Wayne says. "I was upstairs and my homies were downstairs and they didn't even know that I was up there seizing. One of them just was like, 'You know, he hadn't come down in a minute,' and they came up there."
When Kimmel asked Wayne if he was going to have a "homie on alert" in case he had another seizure, Wayne laughed before responding. "I've taken those steps and a whole bunch of other steps," Lil Wayne says, "to make sure that everything's perfect."
2 Chainz was arrested for Promethazine and marijuana possession.
2 Chainz has been arrested after the rapper was found with various narcotics on Tuesday (June 11th).
TMZ reports that in addition to being found with under an ounce of marijuana, 2 Chainz was in possession of Promethazine, one of the main ingredients in sizzurp.
The rapper was booked for felony narcotics possession, and tweeted on Monday (June 10th) before the arrest about how he enjoyed the marijuana in San Francisco:
The news comes just two days after 2 Chainz was reportedly robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco, with conflicting reports coming from the San Francisco Police Department.
2 Chainz was arrested in Maryland for possession of marijuana in February, and was acquitted in April.

Waka Flocka Flame is apparently promoting his Brick Squad Monopoly compilation, not the Gucci Mane-led "Big Money Talk" he is controversially featured on.
In the last month, Gucci Mane has confirmed Waka Flocka Flame's appearance on the forthcoming Brick Squad (a/k/a 1017 Brick Squad) Big Money Talk compilation. Planned for later this year, the project is to said to also include Chief Keef, OJ Da Juiceman, Young Scooter and others. However, Waka's involvement follows a March outing from the group, when Gucci Mane said so on Twitter.
Asked by Mikey T The Moviestar, Waka Flocka dismissed his appearance on the Big Money Talk project. "I ain't got nothin' to do with that [Big Money Talk] album," Waka said. "I'm Brick Squad Monopoly. I still listen to Chief [Keef's] music. Gucci [Mane's] music [is cool]—everybody's music, I just don't see myself making an album with that group. That ain't where I lay my [work at]." Instead, Flocka promoted his own compilation, "Look out for the Brick Squad Monopoly album, family first."

Chris Brown's past fight with Frank Ocean may be brought up during the singer's probation hearing later today.
Chris Brown's legal woes seem to continue as the R&B crooner may in fact face battery charges stemming from a parking lot brawl with fellow singer Frank Ocean, which took place at the top of the year. According to XXLMag.com, Brown will head to court later today (June 10) for a probation hearing, but it's up to the judge to decide whether or not the January incident will be brought up.
Ironically, in early February, Ocean announced via a Tumblr post that he would not press charges against Brown.
"I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace," the Channel Orange singer revealed.
It's unclear what legal repercussions Brown could face if battery charges are filed. Unfortunately for the Virginia singer, today's hearing comes just weeks after he was involved in a hit and run accident that's currently being investigated.
San Francisco police now say that 2 Chainz was indeed robbed yesterday, according to a new report by Radio.com.
Def Jam Records star 2 Chainz was the victim of a robbery yesterday afternoon (June 9) in Northern California. According to TMZ.com, the Atlanta, Georgia native formerly known as Tity Boi was with an entourage of 14 people yesterday at approximately 4:30pm in the vicinity of San Francisco, California.
While information is releasing, sources with the San Francisco Police Department told TMZ that they responded to the sound of gunfire. While 2 Chainz reportedly gave the assailant(s) his wallet, the Based On A T.R.U. Story album-maker opted not to provide authorities with additional information about the robbery and shooting. Reports at present indicate that nobody was injured.
2 Chainz has not released a statement on the incident. He was in the Bay Area for a Summer Jam concert. The Playaz Circle member did retweet a fan, who mentioned the shooting on Twitter:

UPDATE: A member of 2 Chainz's entourage was robbed, but the rapper himself was not robbed yesterday (June 9) in San Francisco, according to the San Francisco Police Department, as per Radio.com. "He was not the victim of a robbery," San Francisco police said of 2 Chainz in a phone interview with Radio.com. "He was there, but he wasn't the victim."
The police said that one member of 2 Chainz's crew reportedly fell to the ground after a shot was fired and the group scattered. The member who fell was then approached by the suspect, "who robbed him of an unknown item and fled the scene," according to the police. The police also said 2 Chainz's crew is "being very uncooperative" in the investigation and that a suspect has not been located.

UPDATE #2: 2 Chainz was indeed robbed at gunpoint yesterday (June 9), according to the San Francisco Police Department, as per Radio.com. Police Spokesman Dennis Toomer told Radio.com that investigators informed him today (June 10) that 2 Chainz was in fact robbed, as was initially reported. Toomer said that 2 Chainz was robbed of his wallet and a cell phone.
Radio.com reported earlier today that a member of 2 Chainz's entourage was robbed, but that 2 Chainz himself was not robbed.
2 Chainz has not released an official statement about the incident, but he did discuss it, if indirectly, on Twitter.
DJ Quik's daughter and father of her child have reportedly been arrested for first-degree murder and child abuse.
Only in recent hours has it been revealed that Davieanna Marlena Blake, 21, is in fact the daughter of legendary West Coast rapper/producer DJ Quik. Tragedy struck last month when Blake and the father of her child were arrested on suspicion of child abuse and first-degree murder in connection with the death of their two-year-old child.
Blake and boyfriend Darnell Moses Alvarez, 24, were arrested by Phoenix police when they were found standing over the child's body outside of their apartment.
KPHO.com reports that Alvarez was disciplining the child for wetting himself or the bed. Witnesses say they could hear the child being spanked, and that it was "excessive."
Blake told police she and Alvarez had argued earlier in the day, and after the child had been found to have wet the bed overnight, Alvarez reportedly began to beat the child with a leather belt. Blake said she didn't intervene because she was afraid of upsetting Alvarez.
An autopsy showed that the child, who was found with multiple bruises on his legs, arms, buttocks, back, and face, suffered a lacerated liver, severe internal bleeding, and multiple bruising throughout his body.
Both parents were arrested and booked int jail on suspicion of child abuse and first-degree murder.

A new Apple iPhone 5S, tweaks to the existing line of MacBook computers, an upgraded desktop operating system, and a new, free, streaming radio service call iRadio are all among the rumored goodies that may emerge at Apple's highly anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference that kicks off Monday in San Francisco.
For the Apple-obsessed crowd who follow the company's minutia - and there are millions in that cult - the WWDC is an event that spawns guessing games for weeks beforehand.
But if you're expecting an Apple television set, don't get your hopes up. What is more likely is the release early next year of an iPhone 6 with a larger screen - perhaps six inches - that would allow Apple to compete with its chief rival, Samsung, and its Galaxy smartphone line.

A note put out last week by Citi Research, which follows consumer electronics, said they expect an iPhone 5S reveal on Monday with the new device coming to market in September, and a less expensive iPad Mini, priced at about $230 versus $329 for the current model, later this year.
iRadio - or perhaps just Apple Radio - is likely to be the most compelling news out of WWDC. As of this week, according to CNET, Apple has signed agreements with the three major music labels to provide content for a free music service that would be tied into iTunes. Sony, Universal and Warner Music are the big players here. Apple's service would face off against competitors Spotify and Pandora. Google is working on a similar music service, partnering with YouTube.
iRadio would likely include features such as the ability to rewind a song from the middle and would have a simple click-on button that would give users a simple way to purchase a song through iTunes.

The time also seems right for refreshes of the Mac laptops, most probably the MacBook Pro models, which may incorporate a new computing processor from Intel call the Haswell chip. Another potential tweak is the inclusion in the new notebooks of an advanced WiFi chip, the 802.11ac, which will allow much faster Internet access once the new standard is widely rolled out by hardware manufacturers.
There's also the possibility that in the traditional keynote speech, Apple CEO Tim Cook will preview the new desktop operating system, Mac OS X 10.9, the successsor to Mountin Lion. Possible animal this time: Lynx.
Late last month, the company went deep under the radar to reveal a tweaked, less expensive version of its hugely popular iPod touch.
The fifth-generation touch with 16 gigabytes of memory and a four-inch Retina display screen sells for $229, which makes it $70 less expensive than the 32-gig version that came out last fall.
The new model is slimmer than existing versions of the touch, but customers will give up the rear-facing camera built into other touches to achieve a trimmer profile and a weight of only 3 ounces.
Former South African President Nelson Mandela is in "serious but stable" condition after being taken to a hospital to be treated for a lung infection, the government said Saturday, prompting an outpouring of concern from admirers of a man who helped to end white racist rule.
Mandela, who is 94 years old, was treated in a hospital several times in recent months, with the last discharge coming on April 6 after doctors drained fluid from his lung area after diagnosing him with pneumonia. He has been particularly vulnerable to respiratory problems since contracting tuberculosis during his 27-year imprisonment under apartheid.
"During the past few days, former President Nelson Mandela has had a recurrence of lung infection," said a statement from the office of President Jacob Zuma. "This morning at about 1.30a.m., his condition deteriorated and he was transferred to a Pretoria hospital."
It said Mandela was receiving expert medical care and "doctors are doing everything possible to make him better and comfortable."
Zuma wished Mandela a quick recovery on behalf of the government and the nation and requested that the media and the public respect the privacy of the former leader and his family, the statement said.

The African National Congress, the ruling party that has dominated politics in South Africa since the end of apartheid, said it hoped Mandela, known affectionately by his clan name Madiba, would get better soon.
"We will keep President Mandela and his family in our thoughts and prayers at this time and call upon South Africans and the peoples of the globe to do the same for our beloved statesman and icon, Madiba," the party said in a statement.
On April 29, state television broadcast footage of a visit by Zuma and other ANC leaders to Mandela at his Johannesburg home. Zuma said at the time that Mandela was in good shape, but the footage - the first public images of Mandela in nearly a year - showed him silent and unresponsive, even when Zuma tried to hold his hand.
"Nelson Mandela is a father to South Africa and South Africans; every time he is admitted to hospital we feel saddened along with the rest of our country," the Democratic Alliance, the main political opposition party, said in a statement.

Mandela was robust during his decades as a public figure, endowed with charisma, a powerful memory and an extraordinary talent for articulating the aspirations of his people and winning over many of those who opposed him.
In recent years, however, he has become more frail and last made a public appearance at the 2010 World Cup soccer tournament, where he didn't deliver an address and was bundled against the cold.
In another recent hospitalization, Mandela was treated for a lung infection and had a procedure to remove gallstones in December. In March, he spent a night in a hospital for what authorities said was a scheduled medical test.
Nashville, Tennessee resident Orlando Shaw is a 33 year old man with 22 kids. Divide 33 by 22 and you will probably get to 1 1/2 kids per year (assuming he was having kids since an infant).
All jokes aside, Shaw impregnated 14 women with 22 kids and those women have filed a suit through Child Services to get Shaw to pay tens of thousands of dollars of back child support. The magistrate Scott Rosenberg at the hearing posed Shaw with a question on the practicality of apply child support on this number of children:
The judge even suggested Shaw get up to four full time jobs in order to pay back the massive amounts of backrent, however Shaw informed WTVF-TV Nashville that he has another method of making payment:
I might scratch off the numbers or something. I play the hell out of Tennessee lottery. I mean, I literally do. I play the number tickets, scratch-offs.
Shaw also told reporters "I was young and ambitious and I love women" as the reasoning for why he had 22 children with 14 women. Shaw says he loves his children, however in the interview says he has "roughly 18 kids" seemingly forgetting four others.
The state of Tennessee currently supports all of Shaw's children at a total sum of $7,000 per month.
The Oklahoma City Thunder forward will follow New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith and New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano to Jay-Z's sports agency, according to ESPN.
Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports agency will be adding another high-profile athlete to its roster. Kevin Durant, a forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder, will be leaving his current representation to sign with Jigga's company, according to an ESPN report. Durant told those in his inner circle that he wants to build his brand, which is why he will sign with Roc Nation Sports, according to the report.
Given that Durant signed an $85 million extension with the Thunder in 2010 that lasts through the 2015-16 season, he is not seeking a new contract. Thus, if Jigga's firm handles only marketing opportunities for Durant, Jay-Z and Roc Nation Sports might not be in violation of NBA rules that prohibit an individual from owning a piece of a team and representing a player, ESPN says.
Durant already stands as one of the NBA's most marketable players. The University of Texas at Austin product has endorsement deals with Nike, Gatorade and Sprint, among others.
Even though the Durant intends to sign with Roc Nation Sports, a company's spokesman told ESPN that Durant is not a client. Contrary to reports and according to ESPN, Jay-Z has not sold his ownership stake in the NBA's Brooklyn Nets and the ESPN article said it is not clear whether or not Jay-Z will sign Durant before or after he sells his share of the team.
Even though Roc Nation Sports has signed a number of high profile athletes, it is also under investigation. The NFL Players Association is looking into the company's recruitment of Smith. The union wants to gather information about the extent to which Jay-Z was involved in signing Smith. Smith posted a picture of himself with Jay-Z on Instagram during his agent recruitment process and an NFL rule prohibits agents from having colleagues or friends who aren't NFLPA-certified agents present for recruiting meetings.
"I was in those meetings," Smith's adviser John Thornton was quoted by CBS as saying, "and Jay-Z connected with him on many levels." Thornton later said he was misquoted.

A Twitter dispute with fellow "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" cast member Stevie J, may have resulted in former The Source co-owner Benzino calling it quits when it concerns the popular, Atlanta-based reality show.
According to TheUrbanDaily.com, both Stevie J and Benzino exchanged words on the social networking site following the release of the music video to Benzino's record, "Smashed Da Homie," which he recently claimed isn't a diss record aimed at his former friend.
Benzino later let loose a series of Tweets before referring to the resulting situation with Stevie J as "horrible" and claimed to be "done" with the show.
The song at the center of Benzino's Twitter beef with Stevie J, "Smashed Da Homie" was created when an argument between Benzino and Stevie J over fellow cast mate Joseline Hernandez aired during a recent episode of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta."
Michael Jackson's teen daughter, Paris Jackson, was hospitalized early Wednesday morning in what is being described as a "possible suicide attempt."
Paris was taken out of her Calabasas, Calif., family house on a stretcher at around 2 a.m., reports TMZ, and taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital.
The 911 call came in at 1:27 a.m., reports TMZ, noting that the caller said it was a possible overdose.
But the King of Pop's ex-wife and Paris' mom, Debbie Rowe, tells Entertainment Tonight that Paris, 15, was "rushed to the hospital with cuts on her wrist." Rowe tells ET that Jackson has had "a lot going on (lately)."
Back in April, Maybach Music Group boss Rick Ross lost his partnership with Reebok after women's groups protested against a controversial lyric in Ross' "U.O.N.E.O" verse. While the lost deal reportedly cost the Miami rapper$3-5 million dollars, he's still attempting to pull something positive from the situation for his MMG crew.
"I'm in a position where if I never sold another shoe, Rozay good. So it's really about what the little homies who coming next gonna take away from it," Ross told MTV.
The connection between corporations and rappers has been tightly scrutinized over the last several months as other high-profile performers with corporate ties like Lil WayneandTyler, The Creatorhave also been criticized for their content.

"It most definitely was a learning situation and just for the little homeys, just something for them to take away," said Ross. "That's what's important to me, what they take away from it."
Ross also spoke briefly on his own relationship with the shoe company that he had to cut ties with.
"As far as myself and Reebok, we got a healthy situation," added Ross.

Nicki Minaj is expanding her business empire with a new deal Myx Fusions, which has forged a new partnership with the singer/rapper.
Nicki will be the face of Myx Fusions' new, ready to drink Moscato, which is expanding into the United States market. She will be featured in a campaign that includes print, radio, television, off-line events and social media messaging.
Myx Fusions is co-owned by "Love & Hip Hop" executive producer Mona Scott-Young, who is also the Chief Marketing Officer for Myx Fusions.
"Nicki is an innovative trendsetter and has the ability to energize the masses," Mona Scott-Young told AllHipHop.com in a press release.

This week, there were two new additions to the charts. For the second year straight, Los Angeles, California emcee Kid Ink tackled the Top 200 digitally, without marketing or promotion. Following last year's #29 debut of Terius Nash: 1977, The-Dream swung upwards on the rankings with this year's IV Play.

A video reveals that fans in Germany were shorted of an A$AP Rocky show this week, after someone in the crowd jacked his "back in the day" Supreme hat.
In addition to his music, Harlem, New Yorker A$AP Rocky is known for his sense of fashion. Those worlds collided yesterday, according to a fan-video shot in Dortmund, Germany. Rocky and his A$AP Mob were performing A$AP Ferg's "Work (Remix)," when Rocky engaged with the crowd. During the exchange a show-goer is believed to have taken the Polo Grounds/RCA Records artist's "back in the day" Supreme cap from his head.
"Who took my shit?" A$AP asked the crowd. "I came to party with y'all, give me my hat so I can [continue]. That's a one-of-a-kind hat," he added. Ms. Hill has agreed to move out of the New Jersey mansion she was renting prior to reporting to prison for tax evasion.
Lauryn Hill is moving out of the New Jersey mansion she was renting. The move comes after her landlords sued her for eviction and before she reports to prison for tax evasion, according to TMZ.com. The rapper-singer has been ordered to report to prison no later than July 8.
Hill's landlords accused her of not paying her March rent and then filed for eviction. The singer has reportedly reached a settlement with her landlords, agreeing to pay the outstanding $7,000 in rent and move out of the residence no later than May 31, according to TMZ.com. The report did not say if Hill had moved out of the home yet.
Hill accumulated her tax bill by failing to file tax returns in 2005, 2006 and 2007. On April 15, Hill cited threats on her family as a reason she missed her tax payments. The court documents she filed with those claims did not specify who Hill said was threatening her. On April 25, Hill wrote on her Tumblr page that she would be launching a new label, releasing new music and entering into a new recording contract. She did not discuss her tax situation in detail in the post.
In May, Hill's fellow The Fugees member Pras said that he had reached out to Hill in order to lend his support to her. Pras also said he didn't think Hill would be required to serve her full sentence.
J. Cole brings 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar to "Born Sinner" and "Yours Truly 3" Deluxe Edition as his tracklist's release confirms.
After previous reports and a video trailer suggesting that J. Cole's sophomore album would top off 2013 with a January release, the Roc Nation star provided new information moments ago this evening. The North Carolina emcee/producer tweeted that Born Sinnerwill now release on June 25.
UPDATE #2: Following last week's reports, J. Cole recently performed with his Dreamville team in Miami, Florida. In this fan-captured video that was posted at DDotOmen, Cole confirms that Born Sinner is completed at the recording stages and turned into his label. Saying it'll be released in "four weeks," it remains unclear whether the sophomore album has a June 18 or June 25 release date.

In another effort to become as synonymous with money as the dollar sign, Jay-Z recently inked a deal with Samsung Mobile according to the New York Daily News.
While there is no official word on the details of this deal, it is not far fetched to believe Jay-Z could be soon placing himself in the music streaming business. In March of this year, Universal Music Group signed a two year deal with Samsung for their Kleek music streaming service. A month after this announcement, Jay-Z and Roc Nation signed a partnership with Universal Music Group.
Although Miguel and Kyati Shah were all hugs following the Billboard Music Awards failed stage-jump turned leg-drop, Shah's attorney is linking the incident to possible neurological damage.
Kyati Shah was not expecting to collide with Miguel's leg during the Billboard Music Awards last month. When the acclaimed RCA Records singer missed a stage jump and leg-kicked the female concert goer, he did much more than embarrass himself. Shah's attorney, Vip Bhola, is claiming that his client suffered head trauma that could possibly be linked to brain injury.
Bhola gave TMZ.com this statement: "Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury." At the time of the collision, Billboard Music Awards staff reportedly provided Shah with an ice-pack. Her attorney believes she should have been rushed to the hospital.
Kyati is awaiting results from a neurologist in the next week before further measures are taken. Miguel and Billboard Music Awards reps did not respond to TMZ.
Producers apparently told Miguel specifically not to jump during his Billboard Awards performance.
Miguel may very well be facing a lawsuit following his now-viral leg-drop that ended with the singer landing on a fan's head.
Now, TMZ reports that the singer was specifically ordered to not jump during his performance at the Billboard Music Awards.
The report states that Miguel asked producers before rehearsals if he could try to jump over the crowd during the performance, but producers said no, citing the dangerousness of the act.
Still, Miguel went for the jump, landing on Khyati Shah's head, possibly seriously injuring her brain.
Miguel has yet to respond to the report.

Kanye West will appear on the eighth season of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," Khloe Kardashian says during an interview with MTV. The new season launches Sunday (June 2) on E!, though West's appearance on that episode has not been confirmed.
West will appear, though, in episodes with his pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian, Khloe's sister. "I wouldn't say [Kanye] is like a main person, fixture on the show, but he's definitely on because he's a part of Kim's life," Khloe says to MTV of Kanye's role on the program this season. "But, he's not on like we are."
West and Kim are expecting their first child in July. In the first episode of the new season, Kim learns the gender of her baby. Kim is slated to hold her baby shower Sunday in the Los Angeles area, according to rapfix.mtv.com.

Tyler, The Creator says he was the one driving Justin Bieber's Ferrari during last month's speeding incident.
Pop star Justin Bieber has garnered quite the bad rep from neighbors due to an incident that allegedly involved the singer speeding through his gated Los Angeles neighborhood in late May while behind the wheel of his Ferrari.
Over the weekend, Odd Future rapper Tyler, The Creator turned to his Twitter account to reveal that he was in fact the one driving Bieber's Ferrari during the Memorial Day weekend incident.
On top of the rapper's confession, TMZ reports that Bieber's security team has video of Tyler driving the Ferrari.
Despite Tyler's claims and the alleged video, Keyshawn Johnson, former NFL star and neighbor to Bieber, seemed certain that it was the singer behind the wheel.
"Look man, I know the difference between a black kid driving a car and a white kid driving a car," said Johnson, according to ABC News.
If Bieber was driving his Ferrari during the speeding incident, he could be hit with a misdemeanor reckless driving charge.
The rapper's lawyer says the Atlanta artist will be in rehab at least until his next hearing, which is set for June 16.
Lil Scrappy confirmed on Wednesday (May 29th) that he is headed to rehab.
After failing a court-ordered drug test a number of weeks ago, the Atlanta rapper addressed his hopes for the experience, and looking at the situation in a positive light.
"It is my hope that my time away from my family and especially my little girl, my daughter, will make me a better man," said Scrappy, according to WSBTV.com.
The rapper, who stars in "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," was arrested for felony gun and marijuana possession in 2008, and received a three-year probation. He failed the drug test in March, refusing to provide another sample.
Initial reports stated that the urine Scrappy provided was deemed "questionable" because it was "cold to the touch." Scrappy later turned himself in to the police.

UPDATE: Lil Scrappy voluntarily entered an Atlanta-area rehab facility May 30 and the rapper's lawyer says the artist will be there until at least June 16, the date of his next hearing, according to TMZ.com. Scrappy's routine while in rehab includes a 6:30 am wake-up, group therapy, one-on-one therapy, no cell phone or laptop usage and a 10 pm curfew. He reportedly will not be allowed to have visitors for the first two weeks of his stay, either.
Scrappy's attorney also said that the rapper will be assisted by a mentor while in rehab, according to RumorFix.com.
Bernadette Hernandez was 55. She passed away at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii due to a brain aneurysm.

Hernandez died yesterday (June 1) of a brain aneurysm, according to a representative from Mars' label, Atlantic Records, who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to speak on the record.
Hernandez died in Honolulu, Hawaii at Queens Medical Center. Hernandez was a hulu dancer and singer originally from the Philippines. She helped develop Mars' interested in music.
Seven-time NBA All-Star Grant Hill announced his retirement Saturday.
"I'm glad to say, I'm done," Hill said. "I'm officially retired. Moving on from playing. I had a great run. I'm announcing it now."
Hill, who signed a two-year, $4 million contract with the Clippers last summer, made the announcement on TNT in advance of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals between the Heat and Pacers.
"I've been hinting at it the last few years, you get to a point where you just don't want to do it any more," Hill said. "But I've enjoyed it, I've loved it."
The Clippers confirmed Hill's decision in a press release Saturday.
"The entire Clippers organization wants to congratulate Grant on an incredible career," Clippers VP of basketball operations Gary Sacks said in a statement. The music mogul owes money toward a $4.9 million loan from 2010 that is backed by music and property owned by the So So Def Recordings executive, according to reports.
Jermaine Dupri and his So So Def Productions are being sued for $1.9 million, according to a story in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Atlanta-based rapper-producer-songwriter is accused by SunTrust Banks of defaulting on a loan.
In the lawsuit filed this week in Atlanta, SunTrust alleges that Dupri is in default and owes money toward a $4.9 million loan from 2010. The loan is backed by copyrighted music owned by Dupri, So So Def and other businesses, as well as a building that houses two recording studios.
Dupri's debt originated in 2009 but was adjusted in 2010. He took on the loan in order to pay income tax and other liabilities, according to a separate court document obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Even though the 2010 loan readjustment included adding Dupri's Southside LLC company as a guarantor, Southside was not named in the suit SunTrust filed this week.
Neither SunTrust nor Dupri, listed as Jermaine Dupri Mauldin in the court documents, returned The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's messages seeking comment Thursday, according to the paper.
The bank's suit says that Dupri won't incur attorney fees if he pays up within 10 days of the filing, according to music.yahoo.com.
One of the most successful producers of the last 20 years, Dupri has worked with Bow Wow, Mariah Carey, Usher and others. Despite his success, the award-winning artist has dealt with money problems before. Foreclosure proceedings were started in both 2011 and 2012 on Dupri's estate in northwest Atlanta, but The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the foreclosure does not appear to have taken place.
The studio property named in the SunTrust suit was listed as a foreclosure property in November 2012, though Dupri's Southside company filed for bankruptcy protection before it was auctioned off, according to federal court records obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

It's not entirely clear whether the cover art is an image of a clear case with red tape, or whether the project actually will be released in a clear case. The move calls to mind Yasiin Bey's (then Mos Def's) 2006 album True Magic, which was released in a clear plastic case without a booklet, cover art, lyrics, or credits.
Another similarity between the two releases is the lack of promotion. While Yeezus certainly has garnered attention due to the projections and the "SNL" performances, it currently has no single on the radio, and reportedly will not be available for preorder.
