As if there isn’t enough hype surrounding Yeezus already, Paramount has added a movie trailer to the mix. The new promo for “Wolf of Wall Street,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio, is set to the soundtrack of “Black Skinhead," a cut off Kanye West’s new album which is out tomorrow (June 18).
“Black Skinhead” plays throughout the entire trailer for the new Scorsese film. The music stops only momentarily to highlight some of the more awkward scenes from the movie, like throwing a little person in a Velcro suit at a target board.
Kanye first premiered “Black Skinhead,” along with “New Slaves,” on the season finale of “Saturday Night Live” back on May 18. The highly-publicized performance was our first real taste of Yeezus. The album has since generated an exceptional amount of buzz: Fans searched for the significance behind the surprisingly minimalist album cover, Twitter exploded following the rare and endlessly quotable New York Times interview, and of course, the leak of the album itself caused a fury of downloads that left some wondering if Kanye had actually broken the internet.
An impressive array of collaborators are said to appear on the album, including Rick Rubin, Daft Punk, Kid Cudi, Chief Keef, Justin Vernon, Frank Ocean, and the man himself: “God.” The hard copy of the highly-anticipated Yeezus is available in stores tomorrow.
