What started out as a competitive exhibition game of basketball in China, soon turned violent. Georgetown players left the court with the game tied at 64 pts and a little over 9 minutes left on the clock. The brawl started out with a shove between Bayi Rockets' forward Hu Ke and Georgetown's Jason Clark after Hu Ke fouled Clark. Players from both teams then ran onto the court and things turned very violent. Chairs were thrown, players were tackled, and spectators threw water bottles at coaches. “Tonight two great teams played a very competitive game that unfortunately ended after heated exchanges with both teams,” said Coach Thompson III of Georgetown. “We sincerely regret that this situation occurred.” Georgetown's basketball team is scheduled to fly out on Friday.
