The mixtape legend was found by the NYPD with three caps of a controlled substance this morning.
Early this morning, 1990s mixtape legend former Def Jam/Roc-A-Fella Records star deejay DJ Clue was arrested this morning. The Power 105.1 weeknight deejay/host was stopped at a police checkpoint in Lower Manhattan at approximately 2am local time. According to NBC 4 New York, authorities discovered that the Queens, New York native was driving with a license that had been suspended a reported eight times. When a subsequent search took place of Clue's black Range Rover SUV, three pills wrapped in tinfoil were allegedly found.
The report does not state what the pills were, but DJ Clue was taken into police custody and charged with charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operator.
In addition to three major label releases, The Professional series, DJ Clue is known for founding Desert Storm Entertainment. The label was instrumental to the early careers of Fabolous and Joe Budden.
