French Montana, Kanye West, Rick Ross & Diddy Accused Of Stealing “Gucci Mane

The Kanye West-produced track "Gucci Mane" by

French Montana is not even out yet and someone is already claiming it is a rip-off of their own music. Atlanta rapper 9Gotti is accusing West, along with Montana's label heads Diddy and Rick Ross, of stealing his song.

[ALSO READ: Hip Hop Rumors: French Montana Paid How Much To Appear On Kardashians?]

According to TMZ, 9Gotti's label Chinga Chang Records contacted Kanye, Diddy, and Ross in attempt to prevent French's version from even being released.

The site reports:

The record label sent a cease and desist letter that's pretty comical … saying the ripoff may have been a "drunken oversight." It also takes a shot at Diddy — accusing him of being a music thief — and says Rick Ross should know better because he's an ex-correctional officer.

French revealed during an interview with Power 106 last month that he did have a song called "Gucci Mane" that features Ross and Lil Wayne. He also acknowledged the Mac & Cheese single was produced by Kanye along with The Mekanics.

Gucci Mane To Be Released From Jail One Year Early

A judge has granted Gucci Mane credit for 11 months of served time. The rapper is scheduled for release in December of 2016.

An Atlanta judge has granted Gucci Mane credit for nearly a year of time served in a gun possession charge stemming from a September arrest last year according to TMZ.

Gucci Mane was sentenced to serve 39 months at a hearing in August after reaching a plea deal on the weapons charges, avoiding a potential decade-long sentence in the process. Despite his being arrested in September 2013, Mane's sentence was scheduled to begin at the time of the sentencing hearing itself. As a result of the latest court ruling, the eleven months Gucci served between September and his sentencing hearing last month will now be subtracted from the 39 month punishment. TMZ reports that Gucci is now slated for release in December of 2016.

As a part of the plea deal executed in August, Gucci Mane's lawyer requested the rapper to be entered into a drug rehabilitation program and to be held on the West Coast, away from his hometown affiliates. "He understands he has some work ahead of him and his goal is to bring resolution to this case and get back to performing," Gucci Mane's lawyer, Drew Findling, said according to Rolling Stone. "He doesn't want anything to distract him. He wants to do anything to get back to the work place and the work place is the stage."

In September of last year, Gucci Mane was arrested after police found the 34-year old rapper with a 45-caliber pistol and eight bullets. At the time of his arrest, Mane was already serving probation for a previous felony charge.

Gucci Mane released his I Am Trap mixtape on August 31. HipHopDX gave the release three out of five stars, noting, "the best moments on I Am Trap would sound like welcome additions to his most critically acclaimed tapes, like Trap Back, Writing's On The Wall, or The Cold War mixtape trilogy. With a guest spot from Wale on one of the tape's standout tracks, 'Used To It,' Gucci states in the chorus 'Imma keep doin' what I've been doing.' Looks like Guwop will be releasing much more 'free Gucci' in the foreseeable future."

Hide Yo’ Husband! Antoine Dodson Is A Boxer

I got this off of KnockoutNation and, yeah…this is scary. Antoine Dodson, the internet sensation, is now a boxer.

Yes…this dude is boxer now.

(KnockoutNation Exclusive) At one point, Antoine Dodson told people to hide for safety but now he's changed his tune. He now wants people to come to him so they can get hurt – in the boxing ring.

The one-time social media superstar has joined forces with promoter Dan Feldman, known for putting together celebrity boxing matches. The pair hope to link Dodson with a fight in the near future.
Who that person is, is anybody's guess.

Dodson is best known for fighting off a man that attempted to rape his sister. In an interview with a local news station he said, ""Well, obviously we have a RAPIST in Lincoln Park. He's climbin' in your windows, he's snatchin' your people up, tryin' to rape 'em. So y'all need to hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband cause they're rapin' everybody out here."

Now, I was able to obtain an exclusive image of Antoine "The Killer" Dodson as a boxer:

Migos Accused Of Taking Concert Promoter’s Money At Gunpoint

Atlanta-based rap group Migos was scheduled to perform a concert in Evansville, Indiana recently, but the trio never took the stage. According to reports, Migos still walked out of the venue with their payment despite the fact they did not perform.

[ALSO CHECK OUT: Migos Freestyle Live on BReal.TV's Heavyweights Radio]

Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset were apparently paid $11,000 upfront by the entertainment company 41 South. The remainder of their appearance fee, $10,000 in cash, was at the location. The organizers claim they attempted to stop Migos from exiting the Evansville Coliseum, but the group pointed two rifles at them and left with the $10,000.

This news comes after Migos was caught on camera as part of a brawl at Nashville, Tennessee's LimeLight nightclub this past weekend. That melee reportedly began after someone in the crowd attempted to steal one of the member's chain.

Chris Brown: “Maybe I Was Out Of Control”

Has Chris Brown finally come to the realization that some of his past actions were damaging to his well being and

music career? It seems so. In a new cover story for Billboard magazine, the R&B superstar shares his thoughts about his life, music, and relationships.

[ALSO READ: Chris Brown and Trey Songz Announce Joint Tour]

The headline for the article reads, "Maybe I Was Out Of Control." Inside the piece, Brown discusses his jail stint, on-again-off-again girlfriend Rihanna, and his upcoming X album.

The Virginia singer is quoted as saying:

I realize that what I do for a living opens my life to public scrutiny and that I have a responsibility to everyone because of that exposure… I can say that I am only human and I have made mistakes. I can say that I try to live my life in the most true, honest way that I can. I am not perfect, no one is. No one is harder on me than me. No one can please everyone. No one can live in the past and expect to grow. I have been moving forward and hope that I am not defined by just a few moments in my life but all of the moments that will make up my life.

CB recently pled guilty in the misdemeanor assault case in Washington, DC. He was sentenced to time served.

Brown's sixth studio album X is scheduled for release on September 16. The project features the singles "Loyal" and "New Flame."

R&B Singer Blu Cantrell Hospitalized For Psychological Evaluation

Singer-songwriter Blu Cantrell was taken to a hospital earlier this week after she was found running through her Santa Monica neighborhood around 2 AM. She was allegedly screaming about being poisoned by gas.

[ALSO READ: Hip-Hop Rumors: Blu Cantrell Makes A Suggestion About Jay-Z]

According to TMZ, police officers were called to the scene and eventually took Cantrell to a local hospital. She is undergoing a psychological evaluation in the facility.

Cantrell is best known for her 2001 chart smash "Hit 'Em Up Style (Oops!)" off the So Blu LP. The Grammy nominated performer's last studio album was 2003's Bittersweet.

The Rhode Island native becomes the second early 2000's singer to make the news over the last few months for being found outside by police.

Jeezy Discusses Reason For Settling Feud With Former Rival Rick Ross

Many Hip Hop followers were surprised when news broke earlier this year that Young Jeezy and Rick Ross had settled their differences and would actually appear together on a track.

The two Southern rap stars had been involved in a very public feud for years, so their collaborative work on Ross' Mastermind and Jeezy's Seen It All was viewed as a big moment of reconciliation for Hip Hop.

Not everyone was convinced the settling of the beef between the Snowman and the Bawse was genuine. Chicago rapper Lil Durk expressed his belief that the union was strictly for publicity.

[ALSO READ: Lil Durk Says Rick Ross And Jeezy Collaborated For "Publicity" (VIDEO)]

Jeezy was asked about why he let go of his issues with Ross, and the status of the Def Jam artists' current relationship during an interview with The Breakfast Club.

Jeezy said:

With the title "Seen It All," I gotta be honest. I had to come to terms with being an adult and being a leader. Ignorance is one thing and being about your business is another. When me and homie finally had a chance for us to talk and not nobody talk between us, we saw everything alike. We made great music before. Why wouldn't you make great music?

At the end of the day, that's what the world needs. More so than people just going back-and-forth. The way I looked at was like, people get hurt. I'd been in them situations before. It's never you. It's somebody around you. It wasn't worth that to either one of us. The music is more important…

When I say, "I seen it all," I really grew up. When I came in the game I was a different dude. Now I see the world different – opportunities and things you can get done, more so than just pulling yourself back.

Young Jeezy and Rick Ross worked together on the Mastermind track "War Ready" and the Seen It All: The Autobiography track "Beautiful" with Game. The latter album was released this week.

Suge Knight: Who Shot Me Isn't Important

"It's gonna be some times when you might get a few shots," Suge Knight says, "but if you're able to survive those shots, you're supposed to make yourself stronger."

Suge Knight says that he is not concerned with who shot him August 24 at 1-OAK, a West Hollywood, California nightclub.

"Even if I did, I don't think that's really important, who pulled the trigger and who I seen pulled the trigger," Knight says during an interview with TMZ. "I think that I'm doing extremely well. I'm happy to be doing well and whatever happens, happens."

As for the incidents that transpired at 1-OAK that resulted in his being shot, Knight says that he thought of something his father said to him.

"I was shot inside the club and one thing my father always told me, 'No matter what it is, you never give up,'" Knight says. "'You never quit if you start something, or you walk in a place somewhere, you walk in one way, no matter what goes on, you leave the same way as a man.' I was shot and I think it was important that I wanted to walk and make sure I get to the right place to patch some of these holes up."

Now that he is recovering from his six gunshot wounds, Knight says that confrontation is inevitable.

"It's gonna be some times when you might get in a few bar fights," he says. "It's gonna be some times when you might get a few shots, but if you're able to survive those shots, you're supposed to make yourself stronger and be more positive and more aggressive of the people you wanna deal with, and that's the page I'm really on."

Jeezy Says Firearm Arrest Was Unwarranted

Jeezy's Street Dreamz Foundation donates $1 million to the Jay Morrison Academy.

Atlanta rapper Jeezy spoke briefly on his recent arrest while appearing on Hot 107.9 to promote his newly-released album, Seen It All: The Autobiography.

In regards to being detained, Jeezy revealed that he and the members of his crew should not have been arrested in the first place. He also stated that he could have bailed out early on, but chose not to leave those he was detained with until they could all be bailed out.

"I don't really want to get into it cause they still investigating, but I will tell you this though," Jeezy said. "When the smoke clears and everything's said and done, man I can promise you and I can assure you that me and my whole crew we gon' be good. And we shouldn't have been detained in the first place…I'm a real one, man. It's like this, these folks work hard on this tour with me. You know what I'm saying? And every day they was going hard for me…I just couldn't see me getting out. Because I could have bailed out and left them in there like that. So, my whole state of mind was 'Look man.' I even told my bail bondsman 'Man, until everybody's able to get a bail then we gonna just sit here. And when I say 'we' I meant 'us.' I'm not going nowhere until we all can bail out.'"

During a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, Jeezy spoke in-depth about the arrest and the members of his crew who were also detained. Among those arrested were a cameraman and a 50-year-old, female bus driver.

"They detained my bus driver—two of my bus drivers, one was a 50-something-year old lady—my cameraman," he said during his interview with The Breakfast Club. "I'm just such a real person, I know we was there to the right. I just couldn't leave'em in there. When I stepped in the door I had bailsman right there to get me out. I just made it clear, when I leave, we leaving together. Point blank. Period."

In addition to his various radio interviews this week, Jeezy also took time to give back. In an Instagram post added to his profile yesterday (September 2), the Southern wordsmith is pictured holding a check worth $1 million made on behalf of his Street Dreamz Foundation.

The picture included the following caption: "Street Dreamz Foundation is happy to announce that I'll be giving away 1 Million Dollar "Another Way Out" scholarship. Visit Jeezyscholarahip.com"

Young Thug Calls Birdman "My Lover" In Instagram Post

"Me and my lover dripping!!!!" Young Thug writes in reference to Birdman.

Taking to Instagram yesterday (September 2) to post performance footage of himself on stage, Young Thug referred to Birdman as his lover in the caption of the video. The video and caption comes just days after the rapper posted an image of a since-deleted MediaTakeout story claiming Young Thug was "gay bashing" and had threatened to "shoot a popular Atlanta transgender."

The Birdman referencing caption was attached to a video showing Young Thug shaking hands with the Cash Money Records co-founder during a concert. "Me and my lover dripping!!!! Like always!!!" he wrote. "@birdman5star fuck with me fool…."

In May, Birdman spoke about his own hopes for Young Thug's career, predicting that the Atlanta rapper could become a "superstar."

"I think a lot of rappers—niggas now just rapping a lot," Birdman said. "And it don't take a lot of rap to make a hit record," Birdman said. "You know, you got the Wayne and the Drakes who really take songs and don't rap at all. Might sing on a song. Might do just a little rapping. That's what I see in him. He one of them that can do that. You know, Wayne developed into doing all these different things. And you got these young artists who really, Wayne is the mold for them. They watched Wayne. They studied Wayne. And he coming in the game like that. To me that put him on a higher level. Our plan as YMCMB and Rich Gang is to make him a superstar, a rock star."

In an interview released last week, T.I. spoke briefly on Young Thug's fashion sense and the strong response his wearing dresses and painted nails has incited.

"I think so, I think he's aware of it," T.I. said when asked about the rapper. "I think he's aware of it and I think he embraces it."

Chris Brown Pleads Guilty To Assault

Chris Brown says he's sorry to the court after pleading guilty to assault in Washington, D.C.

Chris Brown pleaded guilty today (September 2) to assaulting a man in Washington D.C. in October.

The incident took place while the singer was on probation in a felony assault case involving his attack on his on-again-off-again girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.

Brown served time in jail earlier this year because he was on probation when the D.C. incident happened. The singer was released in June.

Brown also took part in counseling and rehab this year, a point that was brought up by Danny Onorato, the singer's attorney.

"To say that he's been punished severely in this matter is an understatement," Onorato said, as reported by the Associated Press by way of ABC News.

Brown also spoke on the matter.

"I would like to say to the court that I'm sorry," the singer said in court.

Jermaine Dupri Says He Was Not Dropped As Mariah Carey's Manager

Jermaine Dupri calls himself "a psychiatrist of artists," says continuing as Mariah Carey's manager could have ruined their relationship.

So So Def Recordings CEO Jermaine Dupri clarified rumors that he was dropped as Mariah Carey's manager due to low album sales for Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse, during a newly-released interview with Vlad TV.

According to JD, he chose to leave his position as manager for the singer because he felt that it would have eventually affected their friendship. He revealed that many chose to assume he was dropped by Mariah rather than consider the possibility that he left on his own terms.

The record producer also shared an ongoing joke that compared his relationship with Mariah to that of Mariah's relationship with her now estranged husband, Nick Cannon.

"That's the story that people make because that's what people—People think in their minds that that's exactly how it has to happen," Dupri said. "It can't be—It just can't possibly be that Jermaine woke up one morning and didn't want to do it no more. That just can't possibly happen, right? That just can't possibly be the thing. Like he had to get dropped because that's what happens in the world. Niggas get dropped. But nobody else has a mind to say 'You know what? I don't really wanna do this shit no more. I got other shit I want to do. But I'm not that smart, right? I couldn't do that. That's impossible.' That's what I'm saying. It's crazy that people just make these stories. I wasn't dropped. I chose that—I chose to do this because me and Mariah are friends, right? First and foremost. And we make hit records in the studio…This was the ongoing joke. I have a relationship with Mariah better than her and her husband. I've known her longer than her and her husband known each other…With that being said, you don't want to fuck that up. I saw a lot of things happening with inside of me being her manager that could have fucked that up."

Later in the interview, Dupri referred to himself as a "psychiatrist of artists" when describing the relationship he's had with the artists he's worked with throughout his career. He also revealed that the general public assumed he was dropped from Def Jam when he instead chose to leave the label because he was unable to do what he wanted.

"I'm like a psychiatrist of artists," he said. "If you wanna sit and talk to me and work out things that's going on in your life I'm that person that most of these artists talk to. So, with that being said, me and Mariah we good…That's the same story that came out when I left Def Jam. 'He got kicked out of Def Jam.' I chose to leave because if what I do is not being recepted then it's not no need for me to do it. And I'm easily the person that will get—If you start not allowing me to do what I do then I will easily start removing myself away from that picture. And I have done that so many times."

The release of Jermaine Dupri's interview with Vlad TV comes weeks after it was announced that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had filed for divorce.
