Allegheny County authorities made the arrest after an informant told them that an employee was selling the drug at a McDonald’s in the East Liberty section of the city.
Customers looking for heroin were instructed to go through the drive-thru and say, “I’d like to order a toy,” said Mike Manko, spokesman for District Attorney Stephen A. Zappala Jr. The customer would then drive to the window, hand over the money and get a Happy Meal box containing heroin in exchange, Manko said.
Undercover agents set up a drug buy and arrested Shania Dennis, 26, of East Pittsburgh. Dennis denied wrongdoing to reporters as she was being led away in handcuffs.
Authorities said they found 10 bags of heroin in a Happy Meal box and recovered another 50 bags from the suspect.
Word is, Kim Kardashian is being pressured to feature her daughter, North West, on Keeping up With the Kardashians because the show’s ratings are plummeting. According to Radar Online, Kim thinks her daughter is ready to join the family business but Kanye has forbidden it thus far, even if it means the end of the show.
Ryan Seacrest, who produces the Kardashian reality shows for E!, is said to have personally reached out to Kim and asked her to consider allowing North on the show for limited periods of time.
“Kim really wants to put North on the show…” Radar’s source explains. “Viewers and fans of the show want to see Kim interact with her daughter, and how she is as a mother.”
“Kim has always been an open book with her fans,” the source continues, “but once Kanye came on the scene, that all changed. Kanye shuts Kim down whenever she brings it up.”
The source says that Kanye, on the flipside, thinks that reality TV is tacky and doesn’t want North on
display. Kim is said to have persuaded Kanye to allow their wedding to be televised as a compromise but her charm might not work when it comes to the baby.
Azealia Banks also says that "all the other girls are doing the post-Nicki Minaj thing."
Azealia Banks said today (January 30) that she feels she is the best woman in Hip Hop. Banks' Twitter post also reveals how she feels regarding women in Rap and how she believes she separates herself from others in the genre.
"I'm the best female in hip-hop. Sorry, not sorry. I'm better than most of you niggas too. Real Talk," Banks said in a Twitter update.
She further emphasized her belief in her ability to stand apart from other women in the culture.
"I'm the only new female rapper with her own voice. All the other girls are doing the post-nicki minaj thing," she added in a separate Twitter update.
Banks recently made headlines when she begged her label, Universal, to drop her.
"I REALLY should have signed with Sony," Banks said in a Twitter update. "I would literally give anything to be on XL right now...I'm tired of having to consult a group of old white guys about my black girl craft. they don't even know what they're listening for or to...I'm literally begging to be dropped from Universal...Universal needs to just hand me over to another label who knows what to do with me."
It seems like people are saying that Tiny and T.I. played everybody with the rumor that they broke up. A couple of instagram images got everybody talking, but they are supposedly all good.
T.I. says we, the people, got it all wrong.
He told TMZ that he and Tiny got into a big fight over whether or not to walk the red carpet at the Grammys. Tip didn’t wanna do it, but Tiny did. They separated, dissed each other on instagram and came back the next day happy. By that time, the fans and rumors had run wild.
TMZ didn’t have any quotes, but we believe them anyway.
If Biggie were alive, do you think Bad Boy would still dominate? Has Diddy’s bad reputation with signing artists finally caught up to him?
Jay Z and Kendrick Lamar join J. Cole for a concert in New York's Madison Square Garden.
Jay Z gave J. Cole his original Roc-a-Fella chain during a New York concert yesterday (January 28).
The gift was presented to Cole during a performance at the Madison Square Garden stop of Cole's What Dreams May Come Tour. Jay Z was not the only guest to hit the stage with Cole. Kendrick Lamar also made a special appearance.
Jay Z has often rapped about the Roc-a-Fella chain. On "Interlude" for instance, Jay Z said he had "the hottest chick in the game wearing my chain." Others have also referenced the chain in songs, such as Kanye West. On "School Spirit," West says: "Roc-a-fella chain, yeah, that's my rapper style."
"One thing I appreciate about Jay Z is he let me do it my way and let me figure it out," Cole said at the time. "He never compromised or interfered with my creative process. There was a never a point when he was like, 'I need to come in and play big brother and show you how to do this.' He let me figure it out, and it feels better to win like that. It feels better winning knowing that I figured this thing out on my own and if it wouldn't have worked, I would have been okay with bumping my head and failing on my own terms, rather than winning on somebody else's."
More information regarding J. Cole's recent Dreamville partnership with Interscope can be read here. A stream of Cole's Revenge of the Dreamers project, which was released yesterday as well, can be found here.

Ty Dolla $ign's Beach House EP Debuts At #51

HipHopDX gave Beach House EP a 4 out of 5 X rating in a recent review of the project. "From mic to plug, Beach House EP triumphantly strikes the same note," HipHopDX said of the EP. "The Los Angeles-native is a talented songwriter even while essentially re-writing the same song, which is a complicated square to dance in without two-stepping too close to redundancy. Remaining interesting without contextual diversity is tricky. Fortunately, Ty Dolla $ign doesn't have those problems."
Step Brothers' Lord Steppington Debuts In Top 60
Alchemist and Evidence teamed up as Step Brothers for their Lord Steppington album, which debuted this week on the charts at #60. The duo's Rhymesayers Entertainment album opened up by selling 5,357 copies after its first week of availability. Lord Steppington earned a 4 out of 5 X rating on HipHopDX recently. Evidence spoke about how this album came together during the Brothers' recent HipHopDX interview. "I don’t think we set out to make an album," Ev said. "What’s different on this album from the others is there was no budget, dates, deadlines or booked mastering sessions. It wasn't like that. It was more like, wake up, smoke, coffee, then go to his place, and walk in and the beat's already going. I say, 'I like it,' and he says, 'I like this.' And that’s happening...That gets done, and then we move on to something else and someone comes over and we listen back. That happens over a year, or two years, or whatever. Then you look at ProTools and you’ve got a whole folder full of shit. People were asking for it enough that we said, 'Let’s bottle this up and find someone to put it out.' There was no conscious effort to make an album. It was a lot of fun for me like that, because I never went to work. It was just like another fucking day in the life."

"He has plans to go straight to the studio to begin working on an album as well as his tour," Boosie’s brother told NOLA in December, before adding that he will begin touring in "late spring, early summer." The same article also reports that Boosie can expect post-release supervision by the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections well into 2018.
Lil Boosie was arrested in 2009 for a third-offense marijuana possession charge and violation of probation. Two years later, while still incarcerated, the rapper was sentenced to an additional eight years of hard labor after pleading guilty to drug charges stemming from an attempt to smuggle codeine, ecstasy, and marijuana into the famed Angola prison. The drug charges brought against the Bad Azz Entertainment founder came while he awaited trial for first-degree murder charges after he allegedly ordered a hit on a 35 year-old Baton Rouge man in late 2009. Boosie was found not guilty by a Baton Rouge jury in May of 2012 according to the USA Today. If convicted on the first-degree murder charges, the rapper would have faced a possible life sentence.
In an exclusive interview with the rapper released a year ago yesterday, Lil Boosie described his plans to continue recording music to a Spin reporter. “I have about 500 songs at the moment,” he said. “I'm ready to get in the studio with the best producers. I feel that I'm making the best music I've ever made. The more I go through in life the better my music gets and it's been crazy the last three years," Boosie said. "I keep my music heartfelt and stick to making real music. I wouldn't even say it's Hip Hop music. My music is 'reality Rap.' Hip Hop music can make you dance and bob your head, but it can't make you cry or touch your heart like reality Rap."
J. Cole says "much love to Interscope" as his partnership is announced.
J. Cole has announced a partnership between Interscope and his Dreamville imprint.
Joie Manda, Interscope's president of urban music, discussed the deal in a statement, as per Complex.
"Dreamville celebrates the sort of grass roots, out-of-the-box approach to connecting artists to their fans that can help move the music industry into the future," Manda said. "We are very pleased to welcome Dreamville into the Interscope family."
Kendrick Lamar might have tied India Arie in 2002 with seven Grammy nominations without a single win one night, but he was the people’s choice.
According to information released from Twitter, Kendrick Lamar’s performance with Imagine Dragon at the 56th annual Grammy Awards was the most tweeted moment of the event. The performance garnered 171,593 tweets per minute. Over 15.2 million tweets were sent out during the east coast telecast of the Grammy’s.
Beyonce was the second most mentioned artist on Twitter during the Grammy’s behind Lorde, which makes her the most mentioned artist on Twitter to not win a Grammy last night.
This year’s Grammy’s telecast reportedly attracted 28.5 million viewer, the second highest ratings for the Grammy’s in over a decade. However, the 28.5 million viewers is less than a1 1% increase over the 28.4 million viewers from last year’s telecast.
Macklemore calls his Grammy wins, "The blessing and the curse."
Macklemore says that his four Grammy wins yesterday have both positive and negative aspects.
“It’s the blessing and the curse, a little bit more the curse,” the Seattle rapper said during an interview with New York radio station Hot 97 that was published today (January 27). “First and foremost, Kendrick [Lamar] is a friend of mine. He’s somebody that I love his music and, in my opinion, had the best Rap album of the year. And knowing how the Grammys usually go, I knew that there would be a great chance that we’d win that award and, in essence, rob Kendrick. That’s what happened tonight. It kind of sucks. I think we made a great album. I think that Kendrick made a better Rap album.”
“In terms of the people that are voting on those ballots, filling out those bubbles, we have an unfair advantage due to race, due to the fact we had huge radio success, due to the fact that our name was circulating more in a pocket in the industry of people filling out that ballot,” he said. "This is not like a Rap Radar poll, like a 2DopeBoyz poll. This is not a Hot 97 poll. This is the Grammys. This is many different types of people. All different age groups filling out a ballot where they might not necessarily know the genre.”
“What makes it awkward for me is the fact you never want to be the person that is robbing somebody else,” he said. "I think if you look at what the Grammys are, I think that what people don’t understand is what the Grammys are a bunch of people that are on the Grammy committee or in the industry [that get] a ballot. I got a ballot this year. Now, as I’m filling out the ballot, I’m realizing I don’t know much outside of the genre of Hip Hop in terms of who should get what award. So I’m like, ‘I don’t really know about singer-songwriter or country music or whatever,' but people are filling out bubbles of genres that they don’t know about. And that’s the process of it.”
AHHHHH…come on! The first thing I said when I heard this was, “No way.” Not sure where this silly rumor came from, but the word was that Bow Wow had charged a whopping $30,000 on a BET credit card to pay his child support. I can’t extend this any farther. I’m not sure but I believe some of these are meant to test the intelligence of the general public. Why? There’s no way in hell that could be true. And it isn’t. Bow Wow didn’t directly address it, but he sent out a tweet that basically said nothing has changed on his end.
Jay Z and Beyoncé have long been considered a “power couple” with an estimated combined net worth close to $1 billion. Some have even referred to them as the “Royal Family of Hip Hop.” Now the two entertainment titans have also been named the most powerful people in music.
Jay and Bey topped Billboard’s “Power 100″ list for 2014 beating out other industry heavyweights like Universal Music Group CEO Lucian Grainge (2), Sony Music Entertainment CEO Doug Morris (6), and Interscope Geffen A&M Chairman Jimmy Iovine (10).
“What is power? At its base, it’s the ability to reshape the world around you according to your vision. And who in the music industry did so better in the last year than this power couple?” states the publication about Jay Z and Beyoncé .
The Carters each had stellar years in 2013. The “Drunk In Love” collaborators both released platinum selling albums that reshaped the way music projects were presented to the public. Jay also received more Grammy nominations than any other artist with 9 total, and Bey broke the U.S. iTunes records for most albums sold in one week with 617,000 units in just three days.
“Though there was great discussion of the game-changing implications of both releases – and whether they can ever be re-created – perhaps what’s most important is that Jay Z and Beyoncé found ways to focus attention on music itself,” adds Billboard.
Other individuals closely associated with Hip Hop that made Billboard’s “Power 100″ include Cash Money founders Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams (50), Warner/Chappell Music’s Jon Platt (51), 300 Record Label founder Lyon Cohen (74), Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg (85), and BET CEO Debra Lee (92).
The Justin Bieber saga continues as the pop star with a penchant for rap as been arrested on DUI.
Beebz was arrested in Miami and also accused of drag racing in a rented Lamborghini.
Apparently, the singer was driving a yellow Lambo at about 4am in the morning, which got the attention of police. The vehicle, allegedly driven by Bieber, was driving about 60 mile per hour in a 30 mph zone, in an apparent drag race.
Police allege they smelled alcohol when the 19-year-old was pulled over. Police say that Bieber admitted to using prescription medication, smoking weed and drinking beer.
The singer has had several run-ins with police ranging from drugs to an egg throwing fiasco.
A neighbor accused the singer and his friends of causing thousands in damage when they threw eggs at his house in Los Angeles.
Suge Knight had been wanted for driving with a suspended license.
Suge Knight reported to court today (January 23) after a warrant was issued for his arrest earlier this week for failing to report to court, tmz.comreports.
The former owner of Death Row Records appeared to accept a plea bargain for driving with a suspended license. He received 24 months probation and was ordered to pay a fine.
On Tuesday (January 21), an arrest warrant was issued for Knight because he did not show up for court. Knight did not show up for court the last time he was due to appear, either, tmz.com says. The judge set his bail at $26,000.
In September, Knight was arrested when he was pulled over for driving without license plates and it was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court regarding another case.
The second-hand information concerning the upcoming project (or projects) from OutKast continues. First it was their former manager Queen Latifah spilling that the Atlanta duo was working on a new album while on the Howard Stern Show. Now Revolt reports that Andre 3000 and Big Boi are actually recording solo LPs.
This latest news comes from OutKast’s longtime collaborator Mr. DJ. The Grammy winning producer reveals that Big Boi and Dre are currently work on individual albums, and after their 40-date festival tour they will reunite for a new group project.
“I get the feeling that the energy and camaraderie from the tour will bring everything full circle,” said Mr DJ. “We may make it back in for an album following that.”
Mr. DJ also tells Revolt that both Big Boi and Andre have recorded a fair amount of material for their respective albums at Stankonia Studios in Atlanta. He does not provide details of when either project will be ready for release.
Dre’s publicist previously refused to confirm claims that the he would be dropping his debut solo album in 2014 but did not deny that the elusive emcee was working on new recordings.
Soulja Boy is arrested after being pulled over in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles.
Soulja Boy was arrested in Los Angeles County today (January 22) for carrying a loaded gun, according to TMZ.
The rapper was in a car that was pulled over for running a stop sign in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, says the site's report. Law enforcement officials who pulled the car over saw that Soulja Boy was carrying a weapon. Upon further review, the weapon was a loaded gun, according to a law enforcement source that detailed the account to TMZ.
At the time of its report, the publication noted that Soulja Boy was being booked.
In 2011, Soulja Boy was arrested after police officers found guns, drugs and cash in his car. Soulja Boy would later Tweet about his arrest.
Despite being rejected, Joe Budden says his proposal to Tahiry Jose was "great for a man to do."
While appearing on New York radio station Hot 97, Slaughterhouse rapper Joe Budden took time to address the marriage proposal that was broadcast for all to see during this week’s episode of Love & Hip Hop.
Budden recalled being very nervous during the proposal, which ultimately ended with the reality star being turned down by longtime girlfriend Tahiry Jose. He also informed listeners that a lot was edited out of the proposal scene. During the proposal scene, both Budden and Tahiry are surrounded by family and friends in the middle of New York City’s Times Square.
“I’m mad that they edited so much out,” Budden said. “In the scene that I shot with my mom afterward—you know, I expressed how the answer didn’t take away from how beautiful the night was for me. With the family there. And just leading up to it. And the ring. And just wedding planning. All that was great, still… It was great for a man to do. Like when you feel that way and to actually do it, sans the ‘no.’”
During the interview, Budden immediately shot down any chances of ever being in a relationship with Tahiry again.
“No way. No way. I’m never doing that again,” he said. “That would never happen again. Ever ever ever ever.”
Although Budden’s proposal took place weeks ago, the proposal was featured on the January 20 episode of Love & Hip Hop.
"I said to you that I want my words to match my actions," Budden said during his proposal. "That was incomplete. I want my actions to match my feelings. I want the ties that bind us together to always be stronger than those that tear us apart. I love you. I need you. I don't want to spend another day without you. With that said, Tahiry-my-mom-didn't-give-me-a-middle-name-Jose, will you marry me?"
Somebody recently said that the new Kanye West album is going to have only about 8 song on it. This perplexed me until I heard the latest rumor. I am hearing that Jay and Kanye are gearing up for Watch The Throne 2. I don’t have a lot of info, but the last we heard about this, Kanye said that was a ways off. But, he also said that he and Jay are always working. And this is where my rumor probably stems from. Somebody told me they are working on it…but maybe they are just “working.”
I think its a good idea to get it poppin’ – these guys are aging like fine wine…but aging nonetheless!!! Lets crank out these hits!

Wale more concerned with the competitive nature of music than he is with making money.
D.C. rapper Wale kicked off this week’s interview with The Breakfast Club by speaking on the recent controversy involving Complex magazine. While speaking on the incident, which involved the Maybach Music Group emcee threatening Complex staff, Wale revealed that he’s not in the music industry for the money and therefore takes more issue with not being included on roundups like Complex’s "50 Best Albums Of 2013" list.
He also questioned why he wasn’t nominated for a Grammy award for The Gifted when a Kendrick Lamar song that appeared on the NBA 2K14 soundtrack and was a good kid, m.A.A.d citybonus track did receive a nomination.
“I don’t care about the money, Joe. I like the sport, yo,” Wale said. “I played sports my whole life. So, I like the competitive nature. You know what I’m saying? I like the sport of rhyming. I want to have quadruple entendres on certain records. And everybody to be rewinding ‘em. And it be in the locker room or at the lunch table talking about ‘You heard what he said?’ That’s what I care about…It’s just a combination of things, but I’m in a place now where it’s like I’m at bat trying again to do it.”
Wale also spoke on meeting his grandfather for the first time while in Nigeria filming Revolt TV’s Wale: I Am Fromdocumentary. While speaking on Nigeria, the D.C. spitter also addressed those who feel he’d be more successful if he was more vocal about his Nigerian roots.
“So, I met my grandfather for the first time. So, it was really intense,” he said. “And I don’t really show that side of myself. I like to keep my personal life away. Y’all get my emotional, but y’all don’t really get the—y’all don’t know who I’m dating…I use my real, Nigerian name. That’s the first red flag of embracing it. You know what I’m saying? My first album I sampled a famous African record. Did a video for it. I’ve worked with Wizkid. I’ve worked with [Olamide]. I’ve worked with a lot of these people. Just because they not on the U.S. radar—I don’t know if I need to go Lil Wayne on niggas and put the tattoo of a Nigerian scripture, Nigerian Yoruba scriptures on the side of my face so they can be like ‘Yeah.’ I don’t know if I gotta come in wearing an agbada or something like that. But I do my best…That’s like Drake walking around with a yamaka.”
Towards the end of Wale’s interview with The Breakfast Club, he revealed that friend and fellow rapper J. Cole is “more of a jerk” than he is and accepted the fact that he’ll never be considered a media darling.
“People love Cole and Cole’s a jerk, yo,” Wale said. “That’s one of my best friends though, but Cole is a jerk too. He’s a jerk. He’s more of a jerk than me. He’s just quiet. He’s quiet. He’s light-skinned. I’m like black ass, D.C. loud…Let’s just let it be known now that I’m not gonna be a media darling. I’m not gon’ be Janelle Monae. You know what I’m saying? Janelle Monae talented as fuck. We can do the same amount of numbers, but she can get Good Morning America. A Saturday Night Live. She can get to sit on Letterman or something like that. We can do the same amount, but I ain’t getting none of that. So, I’ve accepted it.”
This week’s interview comes one month after a recorded phone call between Wale and Complex magazine’s Insanul Ahmed was released online. During the roughly three-minute long conversation, Wale threatened to visit the publication’s office and “start knocking niggas the fuck out.”
"Fuck you, dog. You know it's disrespect. I swear to God I’ll come to that office and start knocking niggas the fuck out,” the rapper said. “Y'all wanna see some ghetto ignorant shit? That's what y'all promote. That's the only thing y'all promote from niggas.”

You already know that some people will do anything, no matter how ridiculous, in the name of religion. Apparently, the following pastor was told by God that his congregation should eat grass to be closer to the lord. Someone even said that the grass tasted like “macaroni pasta.” Mmkay.
One of the most illustrious and flawless professional boxing careers of all time has an end date. At a recent gala dinner in South Africa last night(January 17th), Floy Mayweather is reported to have said “September 2015″ will be the date of his final fight.
Unfortunately Associated Press‘ report might have decreased the chances of the showdown with Manny Pacquio that has been anticipated for years. This past Wednesday (January 15th), Mayweather stated that Britain’s Amir Khan and Argentina’s Marcos Maidana are the two contenders for possible opponents in his May 3rd fight in Las Vegas.
Floyd Mayweather started his professional boxing career in 1996 and is a perfect 45-0 with 26 knockouts.
Ice Cube's "Ride Along" is poised to be the #1 movie at the box office this weekend.
Ice Cube’s Ride Along film earned $14.4 million in its first day of release yesterday (January 17) and is expected to earn about $40 million during the four-day weekend, variety.com reports.
Ride Along, which also stars Kevin Hart, is expected to be the #1 movie at the box office this weekend, variety.com’s story says.
If Ride Along hits $40 million during the Martin Luther King Day holiday weekend, it would be the second-highest opening film during the holiday, after 2008’s Cloverfield, which opened with $46.1 million.
I just got some tidbits of messy information that picks up from the last rumor we heard about Amina Buddafly of Love and Hip-Hop. This source says that Amina Buddafly really is pregnant by hubby Peter Gunz. There’s speculation floating around about the alleged pregnancy that she has neither confirmed nor denied. However, said source says it’s official.
Amina Buddafly and Peter Gunz are still married and living together but Peter Gunz is not doing right by wifey. He allegedly still cheats on her, like we’re surprised, and Amina is still holding on to the hope that she and Gunz can be a happy family.
The rest of us call that turning a blind eye, but were we really shocked? No.
You know what the old folks say, how you get ‘em is how you keep ‘em, a leopard won’t change it’s spot and all that jazz.
Worldstarhiphop.com is one of the most visited entertainment websites in the world. The site features music videos from both well-established artists and up-and-coming performers. It also highlights videos that depict violent acts often committed by young, black individuals. In response to those depictions of violence, activist and writer Rahiel Tesfamariam penned an op-ed for the Washington Post titled “Death of World Star Hip Hop (D.O.WSHH).”
In the article, Tesfamariam calls for World Star to experience “brand damaging from hip-hop artists and community activists” similar to Jay Z’s take down of auto-tune on his 2009 track “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-tune).” While acknowledging WSHH’s right to freedom of speech, she also brands the website as “one of the most culturally damaging media platforms in existence today.”
Tesfamariam is just the latest public figure to offer criticism of World Star. Last year members of the Zulu Nation started a petition to persuade the site to remove “Hip Hop” from its name. The Minister of Information for the Zulu Nation, Quadeer “MC Spice” Shakur, argued that World Star was misrepresenting the foundations and true principles of Hip Hop.
“WorldStarHipHop has no respect, as far as I’m concerned, for our people and our music,” Shakur told AllHipHop.com last March. “If it was in fact just a site for what we call ‘entertainment’ then let it be known at the bottom of your page. Put some kind of disclaimer that you are not in fact involved in or a part of real Hip Hop culture.”
In the same article, one of the forefathers of Hip Hop, Grandmaster Melle Mel, also expressed his opinion that WSHH was not a true representation of the culture.
“WorldStarHipHop has no more to do with Hip Hop than FedEx has to do with the federal government,” said Melle Mel.
While World Star has its critics, the site also has its defenders. Huff Post Live hosted the Google+ discussion “Do ‘Hood Sites’ Normalize Black Stereotypes?” moderated by Marc Lamont Hill. Panelist Mandon Lovett offered his take that WSHH is only shining a light on the violence that’s happening in urban America. The independent filmmaker reinforced World Star’s tag that the site is the “CNN of the Ghetto.”
Chicago rapper Rhymefest also defended World Star during the Huff Post exchange. He points out that other video streaming sites provide the same type of content as WSHH.
“We’re not here talking about YouTube,” said Rhymefest. “We’re not here talking about Vimeo. We’re not sitting here talking about all of these sites that do the same thing that World Star does.”
In her WashPost piece, Tesfamariam addresses those who stand up for WSHH.
“To defend World Star Hip Hop is to defend the normalization of violent stereotypes and exploitation of pain, anger and brokenness,” she writes.
Kids can be a bit much at times but some people take discipline way too far. A Memphis teacher locked a 5-year-old girl in a closet and then left the school for the day, reports Associated Press.
The teacher, whose name wasn’t released, has been suspended and the child was not hurt. The teacher wasn’t at the school when police arrived. No charges have been filed but the police are investigating.
This sounds all kinds of shady, even down to how authorities are handling this.
Kanye West has had a rough week with the story of him allegedly attacking an 18-year-old man in Beverly Hills, but the “New Slaves” rhymer received some good news recently as well. West’s sixth studio album,Yeezus, is now certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
Yeezus has shipped over 1 million copies earning Kanye his 7th platinum album award from the RIAA (including his joint album Watch The Throne with Jay Z). While Ye’s latest solo project has managed to earn certified platinum status for shipments to retail, it still has not sold over a million copies to consumers. The album now sits at around 630,000 units sold.
Eminem is starting 2014 focusing on the same thing he did for the entirety of 2013: bars. Earlier today (January 16th), Jack Thriller announced he would be hosting Eminem’s forthcoming battle rap reality show.
On his personal Instagram page, he not only revealed Eminem directly contacted him to host his battle rap reality show, but also alludes to another partner in the show:
Shoutout to my big brother SLIM SHADY for hitting me up last night and making me the new host of his battle rap reality show JACKTHRILLER.COM WORDS CANT EXPLAIN THE JOY IN MY HEART @uwbattleleague @unclevinrock #doglife #thrillergang #superstarsh*t
The UW Battle League’s official twitter account seemingly confirmed the partnership earlier today.
The UW Battle League’s High Stakes event is set to take place on January 26th at ENVY Night Club in Elizabeth, NJ.
Jay Z claims to have made the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee did and is starting to take over the team’s best players. A month and a half after helping former Yankee star Robinson Cano sign a $240 million deal with the Seattle Mariners, Jay Z has signed star Yankee pitcher, CC Sabathia.
Jay Z posted a photo on his website Life+Times of Sabathia signing his contract. Sabathia signed a five year, $122 million contract with the New York Yankees in 2011 so chances of him leaving the team are slim.
If you happen to have an extra 100 grand at your disposal you may be able to cop a pair of Drake’s limited edition Jordan brand sneakers. The Canadian performer announced he was partnering with Nike to release his own limited edition shoes in December, and some of the unreleased OVO sneaks have now made their way onto to Ebay. One pair is going for $100,000.
Drake gave away two sets of his OVO Jordans at a recent Toronto Raptors “Drake Night” basketball game. One pair of the Retro 10s was later put up for auction on Ebayoriginally listed at $300. After 54 bids from 34 bidders the current leading offer stands at $100,000 with three days left.
More details are emerging about the alleged confrontation between Kanye West and an 18-year-old man in Beverly Hills earlier this week. Now an eyewitness is saying that Kanye hit the man accused of calling his fiancé, Kim Kardashian, a “n**a lover” over 30 times.
According to TMZ, sources say Ye walked into the chiropractor’s office where the man was located and began striking him repeatedly without saying a word. Apparently, the massage therapist in the facility pulled Kanye off the man before he and Kim left the scene.
Kanye is being investigated by police for assault as a result of the incident. Kardashian plans to file charges against the man for criminal threats. She claims he yelled, “I will kill you slut” at her before the alleged violent encounter took place.
Beyonce allegedly turned down Kim Kardashian’s request to be a bridesmaid in her wedding, according to Starmagazine.
“While Beyonce plays nice with Kim, she finds her family unbearable. Beyonce doesn’t really care for the Kardashian family and she barely even talks to Kim, so she was shocked when she got a voicemail asking to be a bridesmaid,” a source told Star.
Word is, Beyonce feels that Kim doesn’t really care about how close a friend people are, it’s more about their name.
This sounds believable enough but I don’t believe it. Beyonce kept her own wedding secret so I don’t see her being eager to appear in someone else’s as part of the bridal party, unless it’s Solange or maybe Kelly or Michelle and even the latter two are a stretch.
Anyway, RumorFix says they reached out to a Kardashian rep who said the story is false.
Then again, would any publicist admit humiliation on Kim’s part?
Kim Kardashain says that that the 18-year-old said to her, "I will kill you, slut."
Kim Kardashian has decided to file a police report against the 18-year-old that fiance Kanye West allegedly assaulted in the waiting room of a Beverly Hills chiropractor’s office yesterday (January 13), tmz.com reports.
Kardashian wants the 18-year-old prosecuted for making criminal threats, the story says.
Kardashian was in a medical office building yesterday when she was approached by paparazzi and the 18-year-old allegedly said to Kardashian, “Fuck these faggot-ass niggers,” regarding the paparazzi, tmz.com says.
When Kardashian told the 18-year-old that it was inappropriate for him to use the n-word, he replied, “Fuck you, bitch. Just trying to help you. Shut up nigger lover, stupid slut,” tmz.com’s story says.
Kardashian, who was alone at the time, let the 18-year-old walk into an office. Kanye West arrived soon thereafter and located the 18-year-old in the waiting room of chiropractor Richard Hill. West then allegedly punched the alleged victim, tmz.com reports.
The alleged victim said he wants to press charges, which could have other legal implications for West, as he is facing other assault charges. In November, West's lawyer entered a not guilty plea on his behalf in court, according to tmz.com.
Ciara reveals that she's expecting a child with Future.
Ciara has announced that she is expecting a child with her fiance, Future.
This is Ciara's first child, a baby that is reportedly due in May, according to the singer, who appeared in the January 14 episode of The View.
In October 2013, Future reportedly proposed to Ciara, a proposal that came with a 15-carat diamond ring. The couple had a year-long courtship and no wedding date has been announced.
In January 2013, Future spoke about his relationship with Ciara.
"She’s a beautiful woman, amazing, incredible, everything that comes with those words, that’s what she represents," Future said in an interview with Vibe. "I love music, she loves music. And we love being in the studio with each other. We love being around each other and that’s just what it is. The chemistry is there. It’s amazing. She makes me happy, I make her smile." he added."
Kendrick Lamar and Andre 3000's forthcoming albums are the Top 2 most anticipated albums in The Source's "The 30 Most Anticipated Albums Of 2014."
The Source has named its “The 30 Most Anticipated Albums Of 2014.”
Kendrick Lamar’s second major-label album is the #1 album on The Source’s list. "As the success of his debut album continues to skyrocket almost 16 months after its release, fans as well as media personalities are getting antsy wondering what does Kendrick have coming up next,” The Source’s article says. "In various interviews last year, Kendrick has denied that he was working on a new project, but he revealed in his GQ 'Rapper of The Year' cover story that he would enter the studio in January, immediately following theYeezustour.”
Drake recently said that Kendrick Lamar's debut album, 2012's good kid, m.A.A.d city, was particularly noteworthy. "The last great concept album was [Kendrick Lamar’s]good kid, m.A.A.d city—still obviously true to his life but very conceptual," the Toronto rapper said. "Very specific stories that need to be told. I always say hats off to that album. That album’s incredible, what an undertaking."
A solo album from OutKast member Andre 3000 is #2 on The Source’s list. “When he does rap, it’s an event,” the story says. "An Andre 3000 guest verse has become as rare as a Jay Electronica single, and the quality-over-quantity certainly works here…Andre 3000 has carefully and meticulously chosen the artists and albums on which he bestows his talent, and the dividends have never not paid off.”
The Source’s list of “The 30 Most Anticipated Albums Of 2014” is as follows.

While artists like Jay Z, Beyoncé, Kanye West, J. Cole, Wale, and A$AP Rocky managed to secure a number album in 2013, The Slate points out that no lead African American acts reached the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart last year. This was the first time this has happened in the history of the chart.
Rap and R&B styled tunes were popular, but only ones by white artists Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Eminem, Justin Timberlake, and Robin Thicke were able to hit number one. In fact, the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart was also led mostly by white performers with Macklemore, Thicke, and Em holding number one for 44 out of 52 weeks on that list. Rihanna’s “Diamonds” was number one for 3 weeks and Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” held the number one spot for 5 weeks.
Macklemore and Eminem ran the Rap Songs chart as well. Mac & Lewis had the number one rap song in the country for 29 consecutive weeks with “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us.” Eminem’s “Berzerk” and “Rap God” ruled for a week respectively and his duet with Rihanna, “The Monster,” held onto number one for the last 7 weeks in 2013.
Flo Rida and Psy each had a song hit the top spot on the Rap Songs chart for a week. Jay Z’s collaboration with Timberlake “Holy Grail” held onto to number one for 12 non-consecutive weeks.
The R&B Songs chart was not much different. Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke controlled the tally for most of 2013.
Pusha T says there isn't anything on "My Name Is My Name" he would change, speaks on working with The Neptunes.
It appears that Virginia rapster Pusha T is doubling back on information shared earlier this month in regards to a possible Clipse reunion. While speaking with DJ Heat, Pusha revealed that he never leaked any information about a Clipse reunion album.
“I never leaked anything about the Clipse,” he said. “I didn’t do that. All I did was tell everybody I was in the studio for 20 days with Pharrell and Chad. And then there was a leak that happened and other people just found out that other people were down. But I wouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t do that. So, right now I’m on my Pusha T right now. I don’t wanna mislead nobody, but we just working.”
News of a reunion spread quickly when a status update was posted on Pusha T’s official Facebook fan page stating, “It’s coming…” Along with the caption was a picture of Pusha and fellow Clipse member No Malice and with it a link to a KarenCivil.com story titled “Clipse End Hiatus, Set to Release Independent Album?”
Although the My Name Is My Namerapper may not be working on a Clipse comeback, he has put in time in the studio with longtime collaborators The Neptunes. Comprised of producers Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, The Neptunes worked with the Clipse on their debut album Lord Willin’ and a handful of other projects.
Pusha T described his work in the studio with Pharrell and Chad as “incredible” and revealed that both producers have perfected their craft since he last worked with the duo.
“Since I’ve been back in there with them it’s been incredible. Just having the both of them in the studio is something I haven’t been through in a while,” Pusha said. “Pharrell right now is on another level. He’s on another level. With Chad it’s just like he’s coming through with the old Chad sonics and just the technical aspect of it. He’s just teaching us stuff like left and right. And it’s been good.”
Prior to commenting on his work with The Neptunes and a Clipse reunion, Pusha commented on his solo album, My Name Is My Name. According to the Virginia Beach emcee, there isn’t anything on his solo debut he would change.
“No, I’m pretty happy with it. I like it,” he said. “And I listen to it like I listen to the four fathers of rap. When I listen to a Reasonable Doubt album. When I listen to a Rakim album…Just in length and just in how it really harnesses the mood, I feel like I nailed it.”
Pusha T is currently slated to take part in the Canadian leg of his MNIMN Tour. As part of the tour, the rapper is scheduled to make stops in Vancouver, Toronto, Canada, and more beginning on January 28.
Juicy J Names Zaire Holmes winner of his $50,000 Twerk Schlorship, even though she did not twerk in her application video.
Juicy J has announced that Zaire Holmes is the winner of his $50,000 Twerk Scholarship. Holmes is a 19-year-old student biology student at State College of Florida.
Holmes did not twerk in her application video. “A lot of people thought that you had to twerk,” she said to Juicy J during his announcement video. "But you actually had to read the rules.”
“Read the rules,” Juicy J says. "See, that’s what you get for shakin’ your ass, thinkin’ you’re gonna get some money. It’s not always about shakin’ your ass."
In her video application for the scholarship, Holmes says that once she gets her AA from State College of Florida, she plans to transfer to the University of South Florida or the University of Florida. Holmes says the scholarship will cover her lab expenses.
“It’s surreal, but blessings come to people who wait, so I’m just going to be real chill and real humble,” Holmes says in the announcement video. "I kinda envisioned something like this happening in my lifetime.”
In his video, Juicy J explained why he selected Holmes for the scholarship. “I came from nothing,” he said. "I came from six people living in a two-bedroom apartment, hustling. [You] kinda remind me of myself coming up when I was 19. I was like really, really working hard.”

Dr. Dre & Jimmy Iovine's streaming service launches in a matter of days.
Beats Music, the latest product from Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine's Beats Electronics, is set to launch on January 21.
The subscription streaming service, originally called Daisy, is expected to compete with Spotify, Pandora, and Apple's iTunes Radio. Beats Music also has Trent Reznor of Nine Inch as its chief creative officer.
In a profile of Beats Music on The New York Times, Jimmy Iovine spoke about the service. “What song comes next,” he said, “is as important as what song is playing now.”
Ben Arnold, an analyst at the NPD Group, also spoke on the new streaming provider. "If they are coming at this from a new angle, not just that we want to be the Beats version of Spotify, it’s a great idea,” he said. “If not, then you’ve got to rely on your brand. There’s something for them there, but it’s tougher.”
The marketing campaign includes an integration deal with cellular provider AT&T, a Super Bowl ad, and plugs on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
U2's Bono also spoke on Beats Music. “There’s so much music to hear online, people have become a bit deaf to the choices,” he said in an email. “Jimmy believes that Beats-style curation will become the discovery model that the music business is waiting for. I would never bet against him.”
Beats Music will only be available in the United States for the time being.
I thought Bun B was already the mayor of H-Town, but it looks like he may be formalizing this notion. Not exactly. But a web blog theorized that Bun should run for the office of the town and they made a lot of sense. But, the fact of the matter is Bun ain’t ready because he allegedly has “too many skeletons in the closet.” But, word on everything….he should run!
Bun B is really cool with Annise Parker, the present mayor of Houston I’m thinking by next year, he’s going to run, which is when his supporters want him to enter the political arena. Bun has already been a fine representative for the culture in that he’s a professor and also intelligent voice.
A suspect is in custody for the murder of rapper Wiz Khalifa’s uncle Imani Porter. Jaron Young turned himself into the police on Thursday after his mother ordered the 17-year-old to take responsibility for his suspected involvement with the killing. Young was arrested on homicide, robbery, conspiracy and weapons charges.
“It was the right thing to do,” said Ronnica Sanders, Young’s mother. “I didn’t raise my kid to be in the street. I didn’t. I raised him to be a respectable young man in the community.”
Police believed Young and another unidentified man were responsible for shooting Porter outside a Steak ‘n Shake restaurant after an alleged drug deal went bad. According to court documents, Porter and two other individuals were attempting to sell heroin to the suspect before Young pulled a gun and demanded that he get the drugs for free.
Porter ended up getting shot in the head, but police suspect that Young was not the shooter. The second suspect is still at large.
“Imani had a forward vision,” said Porter’s father Jibril Abdul-Hafith. “He was just trying to go forward and build a life.” Imani Porter was 20 years old.
It is never good when family drama plays out in the media, but that is now the case once again for 50 Cent and the mother of his first child Shaniqua Tompkins. The parents of 17-year-old Marquise Jackson have had many public problems in the past, and Tompkins has called out 50 in the press once more.
Shaniqua tells TMZ that 50 has not seen Marquise since May of 2012 and has not spoken to him since January of last year. This was right after angry text messages allegedly from 50 hit the Internet. The texts included 50 apparently telling his son “f**k you” and “Tell your mother she won. She has you and ill make another. I will have nothing to do with you.”
Today is a somber day for Wiz Khalifa and his family. His 20 year old uncle, Imani Porter was gunned down yesterday (January 8th) while sitting in his car in the parking lot of a Steak-n-Shack store at the Waterfront shopping complex in Pittsburg, PA.
According to reports, two men are suspected for Porter’s murder while sitting in the front seat of Chevrolet Impala where police found narcotics in and around. After being shot around 8:10 P.M., Porter was pronounced dead at UPMC Mercy.
Following the news, Wiz took to his personal Twitter account to voice his grief over the loss of his uncle:
Two men who were seen fleeing the scene in what appeared to be a white Pontiac are suspected of Porter’s murder. Local police authorities are asking anyone who may have information on the suspects to call the Allegheny County Police Homicide unit at 412-473-1300.
Social media went crazy this week when news broke that Atlanta rapper Young Jeezy was arrested for allegedly attacking his 17-year-old son in 2012. Sources reportedly close to Jeezy tell TMZ that most of the information being reported about the incident is false.
The sources claim Jeezy and his son Jadarius did get into a heated verbal argument, but the only time there was any physical contact between the two was when Jeezy pushed Jadarius to the floor after the boy got in his face. The argument apparently began because Jeezy told his son that he did not want him staying at his house any longer because of his “punk kid” attitude.
Jeezy was also accused of making terroristic threats against Jadarius during the altercation, including saying that he would kill him. The rapper says that the exchange only included the statement, “I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it.”
TMZ sources say Jeezy’s arrest was instigated by Jadarius’ mother, Tenesha Dykes, as a set-up in order to get more money from the rapper.
Drake, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar are among Forbe's "30 Under 30."
Forbes' "30 Under 30," which it refers to as "a tally of the brightest stars in 15 different fields under the age of 30," features several rappers in its music category.
Forbes says those mentioned are "founders and funders, brand builders and do-gooders" who are "reinventing the world." Forbes names J. Cole, Drake and Kendrick Lamar, among others.
J. Cole, who is 28, is named in the list for being a Hip Hop "force."
"Jay Z's first signing at Roc Nation is now a Hip Hop force in his own right," Forbes says. "Sophomore album Born Sinner debuted at #2 on the charts with sales of 297,000, nearly matching Kanye West's Yeezus. Now grossing six figures per night on his world tour, Cole is here to stay."
Drake, who is 27, is also mentioned in the feature.
"The former Degrassi star has pulled in over $30 million in the past two years, boosted by live shows and endorsements with the likes of Sprite and Kodak," Forbes says. "Look for him to build on that with his latest arena tour in support of new album Nothing Was The Same."
Kendrick Lamar, who is younger than Drake and J. Cole at 26, is also part of this list.
"Dr. Dre’s latest protégé earned $9 million last year after releasing smash hit good kid, m.A.A.d city and playing over 100 live shows," Forbes says. "Better yet: he earned seven Grammy nominations, more than any other artist besides Jay Z."
Ryan Lewis, 25, was also named in the article, mainly for his work with Macklemore and their The Heist album. Wiz Khalifa, 26, was also mentioned in the feature. Khalifa has made the Forbes list for the third consecutive year, according to the publication, thanks to sales of music, merchandise and concert tickets.

Ol' Dirty Bastard's estate has signed a management deal with Four Screens Production, which is slated to manage the fallen rapper's image and intellectual estate moving forward.

“Since working with Messiah, the estate has really seen growth," Jones said in a press release. "Four Screens is a company that makes things happen. We wanted to create a reality show and we are doing it. We wanted to have an O.D.B. hologram at Rock the Bells and we did it. We wanted my son Young Dirty to perform there and he did. Messiah and his team make it happen and that is what this estate is about."

"As a fan myself, I am constantly in search of the next great collaboration concerning this iconic rapper, whether it be a commercial for pistachios, a bio pic similar to VH1’s TLC, a clothing line, skateboards, whatever…O.D.B. was a talent and a character like we will never see again and his legacy will live on.”
A Kentucky man who was serving six years in prison for burglary and five for criminal possession of a forged instrument turned himself back into jail after escaping, because he said it was too cold outside.
According to AP, the inmate escaped from a minimum security facility in Lexington on Sunday. As temperatures dropped into the low single digits Monday, he walked into a motel and told the clerk to call the police.
The 42-year-old man revealed that he wanted to go back to jail to escape the frigid weather. He was found wearing the standard prison uniform of khaki pants, a shirt, and he was also wearing a jacket.
There are no further reports on what penalty he’ll face for breaking out.
As evidenced by his last second three pointer during the 2013 NBA Finals, Ray Allen still has game. According to the two-time NBA champion and three point shooting legend, him and director Spike Lee are in talks to make a sequel to He Got Game.
While Allen is admittedly skeptical of movie sequels as a whole, he informed ESPN if the right script and story could make all his skepticism fade away:
But it’s something we’ve been talking about for the last couple months. If we get a really good story line and are able to bring everybody back, then it would be something worth doing.
In the classic 1998 film, Allen plays top ranked NBA prospect Jesus Shuttlesworth with Denzel Washington playing his father, Jake Shuttlesworth. Last December, Lee posted a picture of Ray Allen’s Miami Heat specialty jersey with his Jesus Shuttlesworth name on the back. Allen will wear the custom jersey for the first time this Friday (January 10th) against the Brooklyn Nets.

Chris Brown's legal team passes on a plea deal stemming from an alleged assault incident in Washington, D.C.
Chris Brown’s legal team rejected a plea deal on the assault case the singer is facing stemming from an October assault outside of a Washington, D.C. hotel, tmz.com reports.
The prosecution offered to reduce the charge to simple assault from misdemeanor assault. Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, wants to see a surveillance video that may have captured the incident before agreeing to a plea bargain, tmz.com says.
The singer is facing a misdemeanor assault charge from an incident which began when Brown was reportedly approached at approximately 4:30 am by two women who wanted to take a picture with him in front of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C., according to law enforcement, as per TMZ. When two men attempted to get into the photo, Brown allegedly used a gay slur before allegedly throwing a punch at the alleged victim.
The singer pled not guilty to the charge and is required to stay 100 yards away from the alleged victim in the case.
In witness statements obtained by TMZ, Brown denies punching the alleged victim. Brown says he was on the tour bus when the alleged assault took place and that his bodyguard took care of the situation.
Remember when Chilli from TLC had that show, What Chilli Wants, about wanting to find a man? The thing that stuck out the most was that Chilli had a ridiculously long list of standards that presumably kept her single.
Fast forward to present day.
Wayne Brady might actually have what she wants. Yes.Wayne. Brady.
Whispers are saying that Brady and Chilli were spotted in Las Vegas at a private party over the weekend and that there was some canoodling going on.
Pusha T piqued the music world’s interest when he announced that he was headed to the studio with The Neptunes for 20 days. It appeared the sessions were for Pusha’s next solo project, tentatively titledKing Push, but KarenCivil.com is reporting that G.O.O.D. Music rapper is actually reuniting with his brother, No Malice, to release a new Clipse album.
The site claims to have confirmation that the Virginia duo is reconnecting for their first project since 2009′s Til the Casket Drops. The Clipse also previously released Lord Willin’ and Hell Hath No Fury. All three albums featured production from The Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo. Their upcoming album is to be released independently.
This comes as a surprise considering Pusha told the BBC late last year that his brother was not interested in getting back together as the Clipse. No Malice also expressed that they were on two different musical paths in a Vibe interview in June. Apparently, the two rappers have worked out their musical differences and will drop a new project in the near future.
Macklemore comments on Kendrick Lamar having the "better rap album," says K-Dot should win the Grammy for Best Rap Album.
Seattle wordsmith Macklemore can now add the title of The Source’s Man of the Year to the list of accolades he’s been granted in the past year. Macklemore serves as the cover artist for The Source’s fourth annual Man of the Year issue, which was revealed this week.
In addition to serving as the cover artist for the annual issue, Macklemore was also interviewed by The Source in an exclusive interview. While speaking with the magazine, The Heist rapper addressed the skeptics, the success of “Thrift Shop,” and the upcoming Grammy Awards.
Macklemore revealed that if The Heist does win Best Rap Album at the Grammys later this month, Hip Hop will be “heated.”
"Then he's got a point. [In the Best Rap Album category], we're up against Kendrick, who made a phenomenal album. If we win a Grammy for Best Rap Album, hip-hop is going to be heated," Macklemore said.
"In terms of [that category], I think it should go to Kendrick,” he said. “He's family. TDE is family, and I understand why Hip-Hop would feel like Kendrick got robbed [if he didn't win]. I'm not trying to compare albums; I think you can make an argument for both. With that being said, I am a huge supporter of what Kendrick does. And because of that, I would love to win in a different category. We obviously had massive success on commercial radio, and I think that, in ways, The Heist was a bigger album, but Kendrick has a better rap album."
Other artists whose albums were nominated for Best Rap Album include Drake, Jay Z, and Kanye West.
“Now I’m 36-years-old and I have 21 Grammys,” Ye said. “That’s the most Grammys of any 36-year-old. Out of all those 21 Grammys, I’ve never won a Grammy against a white artist…People come to me and they congratulate me on those two nominations. Fuck those nominations.”
The Source’s Man of the Year issue is currently available on newsstands. The cover for their January issue can be found below (via MTV).
Jeezy has turned himself in after an alleged fight with his son in 2012.
Jeezy has been arrested in Atlanta for battery, false imprisonment and making terroristic threats against his son, according to TMZ, for an incident that occurred September 2012.
Jeezy was involved in a fight with his son, according to documents found by the publication. During the fight, Jeezy reportedly threw his son into a glass shower door, causing harm to his son's head. Jeezy also allegedly punched his son in the face and dragged him into a bedroom where they reportedly continued their fight. Jeezy also reportedly choked his son and said, "I will kill you." TMZ's report also notes that court documents claim Jeezy said, "I will put a bullet in your head right now," and, "If I could get away with it, I would kill you."
The report also indicates that Jeezy's bodyguard did not allow his son to escape.
Jeezy turned himself in to law enforcement authorities Friday after a warrant was issued for each charge. He posted a bond of $45,000 shortly after turning himself in.
Jeezy's lawyers have provided the following statement to TMZ.
"We have no doubt this matter will resolve itself appropriately," the statement says. "At this moment, Mr. Jenkins is thankful for the support of his fans and the respect for his family's privacy."
Former G-Unit rapper Mazaradi Fox was shot and killed Friday January 3 in his hometown of Queens, NY. Fox was 42.
50 Cent offered his condolences.
“Saddened by the news of Mazaradi’s tragic passing my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends,” 50 Cent said in Twitter.
The murder occurred roughly at 4:10 pm Friday by shooter that was wearing a ski mask, according to the New York Daily News. When a white SUV pulled up, Fox was shot multiple times, along with others in the area.
Fox signed to G-Unit in 2007, but never put out an album on the iconic label. By 2008, he was off G-Unit.
The LA producer says he's "gonna do a lot with my label mates" in reference to the Roc Nation artist roster.
DJ Mustard recently spoke with HipHollywood about adding production work to Rihanna’s upcoming and yet-to-be-titled release as per a MTV article. “We’re going straight to the club,” he said of the planned collaboration.
"Whatever I do is going to the club,” he said of the upcoming plans to work with Rihanna. “When I see artists I wanna work with, I kinda start doing stuff in their pocket, but it's still me. So I'm just doing what I think she would like, and if she don't like it, we'll just figure out something else in the studio, and I'll just keep making beats till we figure it out."
The Ketchup producer clarified his comments to HipHollywood on Twitter yesterday (January 3).
While speaking to HipHollywood, DJ Mustard confirmed that his scheduled studio time with Rihanna represents a step towards a new album for the R&B singer. “Of course it is,” he said in response to a question about whether or not the music was slated for her next release.
In an exclusive interview with HipHopDX last month, DJ Mustard explained his planned transition from producer to public artist. “I want to be my own DJ like Fatman Scoop and Lil Jon all in one…going on tours and rocking crowds by myself,” he said. “It’s not on the EDM side. It’s my own thing. It’s some Hip Hop shit, because we don’t have no DJs like that. I don’t know why nobody’s doing it. I ain’t got right yet, but once I start, it’s gonna turn some shit up and everyone’s gonna start doing it.”
Rihanna released her last album, Unapologetic, in the fall of 2012. Unapologetic, which is the Barbadian performer’s seventh studio album, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top 200 and represented the most successful debut week of her career. MTV reports that the news of Rihanna working on a new album comes in the middle of the longest release gap in the singer’s public career since 2007.
EOnline.com reports that Rihanna rang in 2014 with a private dinner party in her Manhattan apartment and celebrated with guests like the British fashion model Cara Delevingne and Melissa Forde. Rihanna’s hosted New Year’s celebrations continued at Jay Z’s 40 40 Club in Manhattan after midnight.
The serial offender loves nothing better than to have a sniff or drink of petrol, before doing a little jig while high on the fumes.
Bug-eyed and ruddy faced from his bizarre addiction, he flouted his ‘no-garage’ anti social behaviour order twice in one day over the festive season.
The Mirror first reported on Taylor’s four-star thirst back on February 4, 2005. Then he had sneaked on to the same forecourt 51 times to steal fuel.
He attended meetings to beat the habit – but stank stank so strongly of petrol he was deemed a fire hazard and kicked out.
He was later caught downing four-star at an Asda garage in Middlesbrough, then doing his trademark dance.
Drivers later using pumps slashed by Taylor were often soaked in petrol.
Nine years on, he is still getting tanked up. Teesside magistrates heard he was arrested after he went to two different petrol stations in Redcar, Cleveland, and he admitted two offences of breaching his Asbo.
Guy Prest, prosecuting, said Taylor was the subject of an Asbo with specific prohibitions designed to keep him away from all petrol station forecourts.
Mr Prest said the defendant had a history of ‘attacking petrol pumps, obtaining petrol and consuming it.’ Taylor was spotted by staff at Morrisons on December 30 approaching the pumps in a bid to obtain petrol.
The same day he also went to a nearby Tesco petrol station. Police were called and he was arrested.
Taylor was given a 16-week prison sentence and told to pay £120 in costs and victim surcharge.

The most Googled rapper may have to search for an explanation soon after veteran California MC Rappin’ 4-Tay accused Drake of stealing his lyrics. According to Tay, Drake pilfered lyrics from Tay’s song “Playaz Club” for his verse on YG’s “Who Do You Love”.
The majority of Drake’s “Who Do You Love” verse is original lyrics but there are quite a few that bare an uncanny resemblance to the lyrics on Tray’s “Playaz Club”:
Drake on “Who Do You Love”
She got a buddy name OJB and now you know the deal
We turnt up in the studio late night
That’s why the songs that you hear are comin’ real tight
OVO crew, n*gga, thought I told you
If you a player in the game, this should hold you
And man shout my n*gga Game he just rolled through
Eatin’ crab out in Malibu with no boo
A lot of fools puttin’ salt in the game
Until these women get the notion that they runnin’ the game
Rapping 4-Tay on “Playaz Club”
I got a h*e named Real de Real
She got a buddy named SP 12, now, you know the deal
We getz freaky in the studio late night
That’s why the beats that you hear are comin’ real tight
Somethin’ to roll to, somethin’ to stroll to
If you’s a playa in the game this will hold you
Mo money mo money for the bank roll
Stick to the script don’t slip in the nine-fo
A lot of fools put salt in the game
Till when these women get the notion that they runnin’ the game, huh
Tay’s “Playaz Club” was released on his 1994 album Don’t Fight The Feeling. The West Coast legend made his allegation of Drake’s stealing ways known on his personal Twitter account and even attempted to contact Drake through the social media platform:
Rick Ross suing LMFAO over the pair's alleged use of "Hustlin'" on their 2010 single, "Party Rock Anthem."
With the start of the new year, Los Angeles-based duo LMFAO have found themselves at the center of a lawsuit filed by rapper Rick Ross and producer Jermaine "Mayne Zayne" Jackson of The Runners. According to HollywoodReporter.com, both Ross and Jackson are suing the pair for copyright infringement due to their 2010 single, "Party Rock Anthem."
The lawsuit, which was filed in a Florida federal court, states that “Party Rock Anthem” directly uses Ross’ Port Of Miamisingle “Hustlin’” despite a “slight change” in the song’s lyrics.
"The use of 'Hustlin' ' in 'Party Rock Anthem' is readily apparent, despite the slight change from 'Everyday I’m hustlin' …' to 'Everyday I'm shufflin' …' and constitutes, inter alia, the creation of an unauthorized derivative work," read the lawsuit.
Additionally, the lawsuit says the success of “Party Rock Anthem” helped LMFAO launch the “highly successful” Party Rock Clothing. And on top of inspiring LMFAO’s clothing line, “Party Rock Anthem” was also sampled in a Kia Soul commercial in 2011. Kia Motors America is also named in the lawsuit.
"The phrase is so important to the success of 'Party Rock Anthem,' that LMFAO launched a highly successful clothing line, Party Rock Clothing, that features the phrase on T-shirts and other clothing items," says the lawsuit.
HollywoodReporter.com reports that the defendants in the case have ignored warnings about the infringement and as a result Ross is hoping for an injunction and maximum statutory damages.
The lawsuit filed against LMFAO comes just days after “Freeway” Ricky Ross’ $10 million lawsuit against Rick Ross over the use of his stage name was shot down by a California judge due to the First Amendment.

Denitra Sherrelle Green and Cessica Desha Darden are accused of robbing a man for his Jay Z tickets and then running him over.
Two Houston-area women are being accused of robbing a man for his tickets to a Jay Z concert and then running him over, according to local10.com.
Denitra Sherrelle Green (pictured at right) and Cessica Desha Darden allegedly robbed a man, who is not identified in the report, of his tickets to Jay Z’s December 19 performance at the Toyota Center in Houston, which he was selling through Craigslist, according to court documents, per local10.com.
Green and Darden, both 20, have been charged with aggravated robbery, local10.com says. Their bond is $30,000 each.
Green, Darden and the man allegedly agreed to meet at a Starbucks. The women then asked the man to meet them outside because Darden's baby was in the backseat of their vehicle, the story says.
The man and his girlfriend approached the vehicle and leaned into the car. Green then accelerated the car, the local10.com story says.
According to investigators, the man became stuck in the window and grabbed onto the door and pulled his feet off the ground as the car left the parking lot.
While the vehicle was in motion, Darden kicked the man’s arm to try to get him out of the vehicle. The man eventually fell off of the vehicle and was then run over, according to court documents, as reported by local10.com.
“The man suffered a broken left arm, broken right hand, broken right leg, a torn right knee and severe road rash to his face and body,” according to court documents, as reported by local10.com. "Doctors told police the man may need plastic surgery, may not have full use of his now-deformed fingers and may not be able to walk the same as before the incident."
The man and his girlfriend picked Green and Darden out of a group of photos provided by police and an investigator said Green and Darden attended the Jay Z concert and sat in the seats from the stolen tickets, local10.com says.
Police say a Phoenix man confessed to axing his 13-year-old son to death, reports AP. Gary Sherrill, 51, was arrested on New Year’s Eve and booked on a first-degree murder charge.
Sherrill’s ex-wife called police after he didn’t return their child, whom he picked up a day earlier. His mother began to panic after she hadn’t been able to reach them. Police entered Sherrill’s home and found the boy dead, with stab wounds and lacerations over several parts of his body.
Authorities say Sherrill told police he believed his son was a demon that was going to eat him.
Former drug kingpin Freeway Ricky Ross lost his lawsuit against rapper Rick Ross (born William Leonard Roberts) on First Amendment grounds. The case originally began in 2010 and later appealed to a higher court after the lawsuit was ruled to be “untimely” since the real Ross knew about the entertainer’s stage name since 2006.
After first acknowledging that he did not necessarily agree with the reasoning behind the original decision in the case, California appeals court judge Roger Boren once again sided with Roberts. Judge Boren stated that while the rapper’s stage persona and career were influenced by Ross, they are not the “very sum and substance of Roberts’ work.”
The ruling also affirmed Roberts’ constitutional right to free speech and free expression:
He was not simply an impostor seeking to profit solely off the name and reputation of Rick Ross. Rather, he made music out of fictional tales of dealing drugs and other exploits –some of which related to plaintiff. Using the name and certain details of an infamous criminal’s life as basic elements, he created original artistic works.
New Years Eve is meant to celebrate entering a new year but proved to be a time of sorrow for a few families. On New Years Eve (December 31st), Flavor Flav’s mother, Anna Drayton died.
While the cause of death has not yet been provided, Flav announced his mother’s passing on his personal Twitter account:
Flav has attributed his mother’s work in the church choir as inspiration for him to get into the music business. He told People.com in 2008 “She used to play in the church and I used to watch her. I used to come home and try to mimic her.”

This week, Nothing Was The Same sold 48,528 copies. In total, Drake's most recent release has tallied 1,344,484 units sold. Recently, Drake spoke about his lyrics. “I feel like the music that I write is utilized in life,” Drake said in an interview with Vibe. “It would be tough for me to go in conceptual storytelling. The last great concept album was [Kendrick Lamar’s] good kid, m.A.A.d city—still obviously true to his life but very conceptual. Very specific stories that need to be told. I always say hats off to that album. That album’s incredible, what an undertaking. For me, I would never want to be restricted to that.”
