R. Kelly says he still appreciates Jay-Z, even though the two had a falling out.
In 2004, Jay-Z and R. Kelly's tour in support of The Best of Both Worlds and Unfinished Business infamously fell apart. In October 2004, R. Kelly stopped in the middle of a performance in New York's Madison Square Garden, leaving the stage and later claiming that men were waving guns at him. R. Kelly later filed a $75 million lawsuit against Hov for removing him from the tour.
Despite all the drama, R. Kelly says that he still listens to Jay's music. "Absolutely; huge fan," said Kelly in an interview with MTV News.
"I love a good marriage — I love love. Anything that works for me, anything that feels good to my soul, that feels like this is what I should do, I'm gonna do it," continued Kelly. "I don't care what it is, who it's with. As long as it's positive and it works for both parties, I'm with it."
Kelly added that he enjoyed Watch The Throne, the collaborative project between Jay-Z and Kanye West, and that he "still listen[s] to Jay's stuff."
James Holmes has just been charged with 24 counts of 1st degree murder -- two counts for each of the 12 people he shot and killed during the "Dark Knight" massacre in Colorado on July 20.
Holmes appeared in a Colorado courtroom ... still sporting reddish, orange hair ... where he was also charged with 116 counts of attempted murder ... 2 counts for each of the 58 people who were injured in the shooting.
Holmes spoke in court for the first time during the 45 minute hearing -- answering with a soft spoken "yes" when the judge asked if he was OK with his lawyers requesting more time before his preliminary hearing.
As for Holmes' demeanor, he reportedly stared at the bench blankly with his eyes wide open during the hearing.
One reporter said he seemed "peaceful and calm" ... and appeared lucid and aware of what was going on around him.
In total, Holmes was hit with 142 charges ... including one count of possessing an explosive device and one count of unlawful use of a deadly weapon.
Prosecutors have not yet decided if they will seek the death penalty, an option in the State of Colorado.
The 24 counts of murder are split into two categories ... giving prosecutors 2 options to nail Holmes for first degree murder. They can either establish that the crime was premeditated OR that Holmes acted with "extreme indifference to the value of human life."
Same deal for the 116 attempted murder charges -- 58 counts of attempted premeditated murder, and 58 counts of attempted murder with "extreme indifference."
Rapper Flesh-n-Bone's teenage daughter has been reported missing by her family, TMZ has learned.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff, 15-year-old Monica Howse was last seen 7 days ago after being dropped off for work at the Taco Bell in Big Bear Lake.
According to the Sheriff, Monica did not return home after her shift and was reported missing.
Police believe Monica is in the company of a 23-year-old Hispanic male named Alberto Silva Sanchez (pictured below with Monica). Sanchez is reported to be driving a 1997 black Ford F150 with Kansas plates. His relationship with Monica is unclear.
Anyone with information about Monica's whereabouts is asked to contact the Detective's Bureau of the Big Bear Sheriff's Station at (909) 866-0100.
Mr. Bone tells TMZ, "We hope and pray for the safe return of our daughter. We ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to please contact the authorities."
Kobe Bryant's wife has some serious questions about his judgment after seeing pics of him partying with women last week -- but that didn't stop her from flying to London to watch him play in the Olympics.
Sources close to Vanessa Bryant tell us she is "furious" and "embarrassed" over the photos -- one of Kobe chatting up 2 women at an afterparty last week in Barcelona ... the other showed him hanging with 2 different women in a nightclub.
But we're told Vanessa's anger is NOT because she thinks Kobe cheated ... instead she's mad that he put himself in situations where the photos could be taken.
As we previously reported ... a source close to Kobe says someone had spilled a drink on him, and he was only briefly shirtless -- while he sent for a cleaner, dryer shirt.
We're told Vanessa had planned to go to London -- and seeing the pics didn't change her mind. She flew to London over the weekend with their 2 daughters.
We're told Vanessa feels things have been going well with Kobe since she passed on filing final divorce docs last month.
TMZ has learned ... the Cincinnati Fire Department raced to the US Bank Arena moments ago after a fire broke out on the stage at WWE rehearsals for tonight's "Monday Night Raw."
A rep for the WWE tells us the fire began due to a "minor incident involving the show's pyrotechnics" ... and as a precaution, the "limited number of people in the building during the incident were successfully evacuated."
The rep tells us no one was injured in the blaze ... and there was no major damage to the arena. We're told the fire marshal has since inspected the damage and gave the all-clear for WWE to proceed with tonight's event.
Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes was arrested tonight on a traffic warrant ... TMZ has learned.
According to law enforcement sources, Barnes was busted by police in Manhattan Beach, CA for a misdemeanor traffic warrant, and we're told he also resisted the arresting officer.
Barnes is currently being booked by Manhattan Beach PD for the traffic violation, and for resisting an officer.
It's unclear at this time why police pulled over Barnes in the first place -- or what he did to resist arrest.
The WWE has issued an full apology after an on-air personality joked that one of the wrestlers was "like Kobe Bryant at a hotel room in Colorado ... he's unstoppable."
It all went down during a live broadcast of "Monday Night Raw" ... when a manager named Abraham Washington -- who was wearing a live mic -- was ringside for a match involving a wrestler named Titus ... and during the action, A.W. let the Kobe crack fly.
The comment is an obvious reference to Kobe's 2003 sexual assault case -- when he was accused of raping a woman in his hotel room in Eagle, Colorado. The accuser eventually reached a settlement with Kobe and dropped her case.
A rep for the WWE has issued a statement to TMZ ... telling us, "A.W. made an inappropriate comment and WWE immediately apologized."
The rep adds, "WWE has taken appropriate action in the matter." It's unclear what kind of "action" the org. has decided to take.
Sources tell us A.W. "felt horrible" after he made the comment ... claimed he simply "got caught up in the moment" ... and realizes the comment could be hurtful to rape victims and their families.
A.W. immediately apologized to WWE honchos, including the McMahon family, and several wrestler and has vowed to refrain from making similar comments in the future.

Chris Brown turns to his Twitter account to deny accusations that he critiqued fellow singer Frank Ocean's sexuality.
After finding himself in the midst of yet another mild controversy, this time involving Odd Future crooner Frank Ocean, singer Chris Brown took to his Twitter account today (July 30) to voice his opinion on the matter.
The singer, who received harsh criticism after allegedly replying “no homo” when asked about Frank Ocean in an interview, went on to state that people were “searching for BS” when it comes to his alleged comment about Ocean.
"My Opinion on the whole Frank Ocean subject is ......... Love who u wanna love. It's ur decision. People stop searching for BS," Brown Tweeted.
Brown’s Twitter commentary then quickly switched to matters of world peace and “social acceptance.”
"Everyone is so quick to point the wrong fingers at each other! Ask urself... Am I Doing everything I can to help the world…The world is so bent on social acceptance that we've forgotten what makes us special..." he added. "Our individuality! #Imdone #readabookbitch."
Just last year Brown and Ocean exchanged words on Twitter after Brown compared the Odd Future singer to James Fauntleroy and Kevin Cossum. Both singers did eventually put their brief Twitter spat behind them.
Comedian and actor Dane Cook integrated the Aurora, Colo., shooting incident into his standup routine at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles Thursday.
“So I heard that the guy came into the theater about 25 minutes into the movie,” Cook said, “And I don’t know if you’ve seen the movie, but the movie is pretty much a piece of crap. Yea, spoiler alert.”
“I know that if none of that would have happened, pretty sure that somebody in that theater, about 25 minutes in, realizing it was a piece of crap, was probably like ‘ugh fucking shoot me,’” Cook said.
His comments regarding the shooting were met with groans that morphed into loud laughter and cheers.
Young Buck speaks on the IRS auctioning off his possessions, and regaining possession of his most sentimental piece.
Young Buck's financial woes have been well-publicized, with an IRS auction of the rapper's possessions (including the rights to his name) being the latest development.
As reported earlier, Buck was likely to reacquire "a lot of items," including his 615 chain, which refers to the name of Buck's label and is the area code for Nashville, Tennessee.
Now, Buck has publicly spoken on the matter. "These types of things, they're sentimental to me," said Buck, referring to his 615 chain.
"Anything that holds sentimental value, it had to come back," added Buck. "I ain't never been no material-driven type dude -- the material things ain't never made me. It's nothing that anybody, not just the government, can take from me other than my life that I can't get back."
"I just want people to understand I'm straight," continued the former G-Unit rapper, maintaining an optimistic attitude. "I'm just letting everybody know out there, Young Buck, one hundred, I'm right here, trying to keep everything together, trying to spend as much time as possible with my children."

Havoc is also planning to release a diss track towards Prodigy on his upcoming solo album, "Thirteen."
Havoc previously said that his Twitter account was hacked after he allegedly posted tweets putting his Mobb Deep partner Prodigy on blast, but both later denied that there was any beef in the camp.
Now, Hav has confirmed that those tweets came directly from him and that Mobb Deep is on an indefinite break. "The tweets is crazy," he told AllHipHop.com. "And I was speaking of a standpoint of being mad, but still being truthful of how I felt - but it was just the wrong thing to do at the time."
Hav says that Mobb Deep is currently inactive and that the truth will come out regarding what went down between him and Prodigy.
"Right now Mobb Deep is on hiatus, indefinitely…until things get hashed out,” he said. “Eventually, the real story will come out; there’s two sides to every story. Only one has been spoken for.”
Havoc also has a diss record towards Prodigy on the way that will be featured on his upcoming solo album Thirteen.
Never short on controversy, Lupe Fiasco opines on President Obama's ordered drone attacks.
As Lupe Fiasco has conducted his media rounds in preparation for Food & Liquor 2: Great American Rap Album, Part 1, he has issued a slew of controversial statements, calling "ninety-seven percent of Hip Hop is terrible."
In an interview with Philadelphia's Power 99 FM's Mina SayWhat, Lupe revisited criticisms that he had of President Barack Obama last year: "One hand, you have someone who is a great speaker, but kills little children - our president."
"I'm not talking about an accident," continued Lupe. "I'm talking about ordering a drone attack. Ordering drone attacks that go and kill mothers, innocent bystanders, children. Militants too, but the collateral damage. You're responsible for that, too."
Lupe's was questioned about whether he thought Obama's intentions were to kill innocents. "Drug dealer can say the same thing," countered the Chicago emcee. "I didn't mean to kill all the people in the restaurant. I was just trying to get that one dude who killed my cousin. Just so happened that that little girl was there. Same thing."
In 2011, Lupe called Obama "the biggest terrorist," drawing criticism from Bill O'Reilly and others.
Ciara can’t catch a break, can she? First, there was a petition to try to stop her from making music, and then news broke that her ex-boyfriend, New York Knicks player Amare Stoudemire, proposed to his baby mama – the same woman who Ciara allegedly stole him from.
Now, a source inside Ciara’s camp has revealed that Ciara has an affinity for stalking men, and even stalked 50 Cent and Chris Brown. Check out what the source revealed toUrban Bell Magbelow:
“Ciara is a beautiful girl, but she just has the worst luck with men. The reason she can’t really keep a man is because she has a nasty habit of stalking them! Most of the men she has dated will confirm that she calls way too much and falls in love too quickly. Even after she and 50 broke up, she still called him numerous times to tell him that she loved him. It annoyed 50 so bad, he had to threaten her with public embarrassment before she stopped making the frequent phone calls.
I bet people also don’t know that she caught feelings for Chris Brown while he was datingRihanna. A couple of years ago in a nightclub, she basically stalked him the entire night. Chris started off being really cool about it, although he wasn’t interested, since he was dating Rihanna and Ciara doesn’t look like his type anyway, so he wasn’t willing to creep.
This is what basically started Rihanna and Ciara’s beef before the two eventually got into it on Twitter after Ciara shaded her on television. Everyone that was there that night still talks about how desperate Ciara looked trying to get at Chris in the club. Chris probably would have obliged if she was mixed or very light skin. He does have a type, and Ciara doesn’t fit it.”
Oh wow, so that’s what started the whole Ciara and Rihanna Twitter beef? Interesting. Imagine if 50 Cent had actually put Ciara on blast? That would have been a sight to see. Do you believe that Ciara is a stalker?
Well lookie what we have here! Lets not even play games. Ice Cube has revealed to us exclusively that he’s fully confirmed for a new movie in the “Friday” series. But, this time, he managed to get Chris Tucker on board to get everybody sky-high once again. Let me tell you – this is good news!
Now as far as the “everybody” else, I am not sure who that is, but I’m thinking everybody else may be overload for the movie. Too many laughs!
Russell Brand will NOT go to jail for smashing a paparazzo's iPhone in New Orleans a few months ago ... after cutting a deal with prosecutors early this morning.
We broke the story ... the New Orleans District Attorney charged Brand with misdemeanor criminal damage for throwing the phone through a glass window during a heated confrontation back in March.
Brand's attorney plead NOT GUILTY on the actor's behalf this morning -- but the two sides worked out a deal in which the case will be dismissed if Brand pays $500 in court fees and performs 20 hours of community service by August 31.
It's a good deal for Brand ... who was facing up to 6 months in jail if convicted.
Brand's attorney says the actor plans to satisfy his community service by working with people battling addiction.
Voicemails allegedly left by Jerry Sandusky on the phone of one of his child sex victims have just been released -- and they're creepy as hell.
Lawyers for the alleged victim released the voicemails today -- and announced plans to sue Penn State University for failing to stop Sandusky's abuse.
The alleged victim has not been identified, but his lawyers claim he "suffered extensive sexual abuse over many years both before and after the 2001 incident Michael McQueary witnessed" in a Penn State locker room shower
The voicemails were left in September 2011, and the attorneys think Sandusky began to suspect his arrest for child abuse was inevitable.
On one of the recordings, the man identified as Sandusky says, "I am probably not going to be able to get a hold of anybody ... Probably ought to just go forward ... I would be very firm and express my feelings upfront."
The attorneys say they think Sandusky was trying to coach the alleged victim on what to say to police.
The voicemail continues, "But there is nothing really to hide so. Um. If you want, give me a call ... I love you."
Calls to PSU for comment were not immediately returned.
Talk about a roller coaster of emotion -- TMZ has learned, The Game's wedding is BACK ON ... despite being canceled just last week.
As we reported, Game's fiancee Tiffney Cambridge pulled the plug on the wedding last Thursday -- and the rapper said it was all his fault, tweeting, "The rumors are TRUE. The wedding is OFF. It's not her fault, it's mine! She's a GREAT woman."
But now, we're told the couple is giving things another shot and has decided to resume their wedding plans. According to sources, the new wedding date is in August.
As for the reality show that was supposed to cover the nuptials -- we're told that's back on too.
Flo Rida keeps his number one spot with "Whistle" and Kanye West stays consistent while T.I. joins the race in the top 30 with "Go Get It."
Not willing to drop from the top, Flo Rida is still maintaining his position above all others in this week's Hip Hop Digital Sales charts. Maroon 5 have now dropped to 15 overall with their Wiz Khalifa assisted "Payphone." Kanye West and the G.O.O.D. fellas managed to continue their ride as part of the top 20 with "Mercy" and T.I. has joined the race with "Go Get It."
Flo Rida Stays On Top Of The Charts
Flo Rida has been consistently at the top for weeks with "Whistle" and that has not changed much. The only thing that has changed is that he's not just the top Hip Hop artist on the digital sales chart; he's the top artist overall. While "Whistle" remains the top digital download overall, his "Wild Ones" cut is still in the Top 30, showing Flo's staying power in this department.
Kanye West Holds Steady With "Mercy," Enters With "New God Flow"
Upon the unveiling of G.O.O.D. Music's Complex cover, the crew has maintained their success with "Mercy." The track did drop but only two slots to #19 from last week's #17. A bigger drop came from his collaborative cut with DJ Khaled. Their track "I Wish You Would" dropped to #119. However, his track with Pusha T, "New God Flow" has given him new life on the charts with yet another placement, this on at #133 in its first week. It's not as if West needed that. He already has other collaborations in the top 200, including "Niggas in Paris" (#136) and "No Church in the Wild" (#191).

Lupe Fiasco discusses the state of Hip Hop, saying "97% of Hip Hop is terrible," adds that he was influenced by Eminem, Canibus and "early Jay-Z."
The promotional tour for Lupe Fiasco continues. The Chicagoan recently visited The Breakfast Club and spoke out about the state of Hip Hop. When asked about rappers in the game like 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne and others, he explained that he feels "97% of Hip Hop is terrible." The emcee also spoke on his label situation, adding that he is "definitely going indie."
"We're coming toward the end of our relationship so it's like a going away party," he said of his last albums on a major. "After this album, I got one [album] left. So, it's all good for now. They give me my room. I'm definitely not going back into the majors. I'm definitely going indie when we're done."
Fans can also expect six singles from this album, according to Lupe, who says it will be treated differently than his last project.
"It was never meant to be a big radio kind of record, kind of like Lasers was with big radio records," he shared. "This is more like a core Hip Hop joint so we have room to throw six records out."
Later in the interview, Fiasco was asked about the likes of 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne. While he said that Slaughterhouse and Drake were good, he went on to say that "97% of Hip Hop is terrible."
"I came from a different school. I came from Canibus, Eminem. To me, that's up here," he said, raising his hand. "Early Jay-Z is up here. So, for me, lyrically it's a different kind of conversation. But, I guess if it's just technically rapping, making words rhyme, metaphor here, metaphor here, it's cool. For me, technically it's good, beats are good, everything is good, it's fresh. But to me, the substance is just terrible. 97% of Hip Hop is terrible."
Judging from Floyd Mayweather's pending prison release and a Twitter rift between 50 Cent and Oscar De La Hoya, ESPN says 50 Cent And Mayweather will team up.
Welterweight and Junior Middleweight boxing champion, Floyd Mayweather is making headlines in his sport even while serving the rest of an 87-day sentence in Nevada’s Clark County Detention Center. A series of recent events—including an exchange between Mayweather’s friend 50 Cent and Mayweather’s part-time promoter, Oscar De La Hoya—has led to speculation that Mayweather will join 50 Cent’s newly formed boxing promotion company.
According to ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael, Mayweather only worked with De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions company on a fight-by-fight basis last year. That lack of a long-term agreement could lead to 50 Cent and Mayweather making their The Money Team partnership official.
“[50 Cent] has been at Mayweather's side during episodes of HBO’s “24/7” and is a regular at Mayweather's fights and news conferences,” Rafael wrote. “But now, it seems, he is also poised to become Mayweather’s promoter when Mayweather is released from jail following a domestic abuse conviction.”
The rapper and entrepreneur insinuated as much via Twitter, when he taunted De La Hoya in a series of public exchanges that have since been deleted by both parties.
De La Hoya set off the exchange by writing, “Everyone wanting to be a boxing promoter? Good luck. Easier said than done.” The statement was presumably in reference to news of 50 Cent forming TMT promotions.
Everyone wanting to be a boxing promoter? Good luck. Easier said then done.
In turn, 50 called De La Hoya “girl” and wrote, “I don’t gamble floyd [sic] do, but I bet you you won’t be promoting Floyd mayweather no more. TMT Promotions.”
Great back pedal, can you swim backwards like that to girl?lol I except that as a apology.#GBB#TMT more success a head.
Both parties backed off of their initial exchange with congratulatory messages, although 50 Cent continued with the “girl” taunts. According to Forbes, Mayweather was 2012’s highest paid athlete in the world, after bringing in over $85 million. He’s expected to be released on August 3, 2011 if he meets the criteria for good behavior.
Looks like people are dying in stranger and stranger ways. Well, here is the latest. A Nigerian business man has 6 wives and, boy, he must have started a fire he couldn’t put out. The man was apparently of great wealth. He was in the process of having sex with his youngest wife when the other 5 stormed into the bedroom, apparently from the woods. They apparently attacked the man with weapons like knives and sticks. But, it gets better/worse. They forced him into sex with all of them. Uroko Onoja then had sex with three more of his wives. When the fourth was about to get her sh*t off, he stopped breathing. Two of the women have been arrested for killing this brother, who apparently contributed positively to the local community. Well…I’m not sure how clear the term “rape” applies here, but at least he went…feeling something of pleasure. Maybe.
This show “Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta” has all the people out chea talking. Oh, how we love RATCHET! Anyway, even the show is still airing, taping has been over. And now they are working on the obligatory reunion special. But, sources withFreddy Oare saying that the reunion show has been cancelled, because these people just cannot get along. Apparently producer Mona Scott Young will conduct some sort of one-on-one interview with the players. “There’s only four episodes left, and we’re not going to have a reunion show. The cast doesn’t get along. The boys hate the boys and the girls hate the girls.”
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to a "family disturbance" at the Jackson family home after, sources said, Randy, Jermaine and Janet Jackson showed up and apparently tried to take Michael Jackson's kids away.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said Monday there was a "scuffle" between two family members at the Calabasas home of family matriarch Katherine Jackson, but no arrests were made.
TMZ posted a photo of siblings Janet and Jermaine Jackson standing outside the home around the time police were called, according to the website.
Katherine Jackson's laywer, Sandra L. Ribera, issued a statement today, saying "Jackson family members ambushed Katherine Jackson's home after their vehicle tore through security gates on the tails of the SUV containing Michael Jackson's children."
Image Credit: TMZRibera said Prince, Paris and Blanket Jackson were taken to safe location. "An altercation ensued shortly thereafter and law enforcement arrived at the scene," according to the statement.
ABC News consultant Howard Bragman of Reputation.com said, "This is truly an escalation of what's been going on. There's a lot of private security, so to actually have law enforcement called is a big step up."
X17Online obtained a photo of Jackson smiling and playing Uno with her family in Arizona. Her children released a statement Monday saying the missing person's report was "created by the very person and persons we are trying to protect our mother from."
Trent Jackson, Katherine Jackson's nephew and confidante who reported her missing, tweeted Michael Jackson's 14-year-old daughter, Paris: "I know it's completely unfair for them to do this you and your brothers. We will keep trying. I love you."
Paris Jackson tweeted Monday , "8 days and counting. Something is really off, this isn't like her at all. I wanna talk directly to my grandmother."
Katherine Jackson is the legal guardian of her late son's three children and there is no word on who is watching them in Jackson's absence.
Jermaine Jackson released a statement earlier this week about his mother's whereabouts, saying this is all "a conspiracy to deflect attention away from a letter we wrote asking for the resignation of executors" of Michael Jackson's will.
Five of Michael Jackson's siblings last week said his will was fake and the executors of his lucrative estate, John McClain and John Blanca, should step down. Jackson's entire fortune was left to his mother and three kids.
"They [executors of the will] will not stand down because the siblings who were left out of Michael's will want them to," said Zia Modabber, who is the attorney of the Jackson estate.
Howard Mann, Katherine Jackson's business partner, believed money is pulling the family apart.
"I believe that Katherine and the children who are benefactors of the estate fall on one side, and then Randy, Jermaine and Rebbie and Tito fall on the other side," Mann said. "They're a group of people who have a great deal of questions about the administration of the estate."
Modabber said, "I can't speak for them. I don't know what's motivating Jermaine and Randy and some of these others, but money is not a bad guess."
Modabber and Mann faced off in court Monday in a dispute over Mann and Katherine Jackson's selling Michael Jackson merchandise.
"It doesn't matter that it's Howard Mann and he may give some of the money to his family, to Katherine Jackson or anybody else," Modabber said. "You can't take property that belongs to the estate, make money from it, without getting permission from the estate."
Mann's attorney argues the material is and always was owned by Katherine Jackson and her husband, Joe, and not the late King of Pop.
Michael Jackson's estate is now worth about $1 billion and counting.
ABC News' Sheila Marikar contributed to this report.
Sources tell us ... Hemsley was discovered by his nurse ... who initially believed the actor was asleep. Once she realized something was wrong, she called for help.
Sherman Hemsley, the actor who made the character George Jefferson famous in "The Jeffersons," has died, El Paso cops tell TMZ.
Hemsley died at his home in El Paso, Texas.
Sources tell us ... it appears Hemsley died from natural causes.
Hemsley, who was 74, became famous during his appearances on "All in the Family." The spin-off, "The Jeffersons" was a monster hit. He also starred in the TV show, "Amen." He was also a professional singer and even released the single in 1989, "Ain't that A Kick in the Head."
“The Dark Knight Rises” earned $160.9 million over the weekend, making it the biggest 2-D opening ever, following a mass shooting at a Colorado screening of the Batman film.
Warner Bros. said Monday that the final installment of director Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy earned $160,887,295.
The opening makes “Dark Knight Rises” the biggest 2-D opening ever ahead of its 2008 predecessor, “The Dark Knight.” It also gives the film the third-largest opening after the 3-D films “The Avengers” with $207.4 million and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows — Part 2” with $169.2 million.
The debut puts “Dark Knight Rises” slightly below box office expectations going into the weekend, which ranged from $170 million to $200 million.
“Clearly, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ was on everyone’s minds,” said Paul Dergarabedian, an analyst for Hollywood.com who specializes in box office. “I think the American public showed they were not going to be sacred away from the movie theater by the actions of a lunatic.”
“Dark Knight Rises” earned $19.1 million alone from IMAX screenings. Tickets for 3-D and IMAX films cost a few more dollars than 2-D screenings, netting extra cash at the box office. Movies released in 3-D typically earn under half of their income in 3-D screenings, sometimes as little as a third.
Sony, Fox, Disney, Paramount, Universal and Lionsgate joined “Dark Knight Rises” distributor Warner Bros. in publicly withholding their usual revenue reports this weekend until Monday. They did so out of respect for the victims and their families after the mass shooting that left 12 dead and 58 wounded at a midnight screening of the movie in Aurora, Colo.
The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Hollywood.com are:

Rick Ross' tour bus was left in ruins Saturday ... after a burglar (or burglars) broke into the massive vehicle, plundered thousands of dollars worth of stuff, and practically destroyed it in the process.

Katherine Jackson is alive and well in Arizona, though she's playing her cards close to her vest.
TMZ broke the story ... Michael Jackson's siblings whisked Katherine away to a spa in Tucson to help her escape what they called the "utter chaos" of the Jackson family home in Encino. Apparently no one told Katherine's nephew, who reported her missing Saturday night.
Now, a photo of Katherine at the Arizona spa has surfaced -- showing her playing UNO with her daughter Rebbie, her granddaughter Stacy, and her great grandson London.
Katherine is supposedly relaxing and having a good time.
The Chicago emcee, Common, is said to be facing foreclosure on a condo he owns in Chicago with his manager.
According to reports, Common is allegedly in danger of having his Chicago condo foreclosed. TMZ is reporting that legal documents show the Chicago emcee has not paid mortgage for months.

Common has not officially responded on the matter as of yet.
DJ Premier and Bumpy Knuckles speak in-depth on Hip Hop and more during an interview with Out Da Box TV.
During a conversation with Out Da Box TV, noted producer DJ Premier and rapper Bumpy Knuckles spoke in-depth on the current state of Hip Hop. The two musicians spoke specifically on the age gap in Hip Hop, corporate radio, and paying homage to those who came first.
When asked what his thoughts are on the progression of Hip Hop, DJ Premier touched on those who believe that being an entertainer in Hip Hop has an age limit. The producer clearly and concisely expressed his opinion on the topic by simply stating that, “you never stop something that you love.”
“I’m 46-years-old so I represent a different area of the culture. The area we’re from is really the original area because before there was any scratching and cutting we were enjoying R&B, soul, jazz, rock, pop, new wave music, everything you could think of,” DJ Premier explained. “Everything that channeled into it becoming what it is now. So my respect for it is way more different than the average Hip Hop so called fan, emcee, DJ, whatever that’s involved in it now that’s at a younger age. The age thing is really one of the biggest problems that we face in Hip Hop right now. Because it seems like everybody wants to focus on ‘when should you stop.’ And you never stop something that you love.”
Bumpy Knuckles touched on another much discussed topic in today’s Hip Hop, corporate radio. The rapper revealed that while corporate radio is a necessity it shouldn’t become the primary focus in music.
“I think people have to be not so self-centered when it comes to the presentation of the music meaning don’t get boggled down with the corporate radio and all that stuff,” said Bumpy Knuckles. “I mean that stuff is definitely necessary you can’t front on that, but that’s not what it’s all about. Because if you really about keeping the culture alive and relevant there’s ways to do that.”
The director for Rick Ross' "Hold Me Back" video says that BET has banned the clip.
BET has reportedly banned the upcoming video for Rick Ross' "Hold Me Back."
According to the video's director TAJ, the network has refused to air the video, though there was no reason given for the ban. TAJ took to Twitter to explain his dissatisfaction with BET's decision, but has since deleted the tweets.
"So BET rejected Ross’ 'Hold Me Back' video. It’s incredibly sad, because the video is incredibly special & real," he wrote. "You’re killing US BET. Smh. Everybody ask BET why it’s ok for them to play 'Boyz N the Hood', 'Menace to Society', and 'South Central', but not Ross’ video. What does BET stand for? You should have two answers for that question."
He later addressed BET's President Stephen Hill with a tweet, asking him to support the honesty in the video.

For that reason, I have decided that it is in the best interest of our university and public safety to remove the statue and store it in a secure location."

The ongoing battle for ownership of the name continues as "Freeway" Ricky Ross is given 10 days to amend his lawsuit against Warner Brothers in his legal fight with MMG rapper Rick Ross.
Florida rapper Rick Ross and Freeway Ricky Ross have been engaged in an ongoing dispute over rights to the name. This week, a federal judge ruled that Freeway Rick Ross could continue his case in court against Warner Brothers, home of rapper Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group, rejecting the label's motion to dismiss the case.
Freeway Ricky Ross was given 10 days to amend his lawsuit, a suit that can claim unfair business practice, false advertising and unjust enrichment against Warner Brothers.
This ongoing dispute began in 2010 as Freeway Ricky Ross felt the rapper Ross was using his birth name to sell records. On top of this, Freeway Ross felt the rapper was using his status as a former drug dealer to gain noteriety as well.
In 2011, Freeway Ricky Ross told HipHopDX's Paul W. Arnold what his case was all about.
"See, if I can show that there’s a likeness in what he’s saying and with my actual story, then that’s where the conflict comes in at. If a guy has worked all of his life at Burger King, and then he comes and says, Well, the guy is using my likeness. And the guy is rappin’ about selling drugs, then they would say, Oh, well you never sold drugs, you worked at Burger King. But in my situation, by me actually living that lifestyle everybody knows that I lived that lifestyle, knows that that was me. Now say for instance if he actually sold drugs – which he wouldn’t of named himself after somebody else, ‘cause drug dealers don’t name themselves after other drug dealers. It’s usually a competition thing with other drug dealers, so they would never degrade themselves to [take their name from] another drug dealer. ‘Cause that would be like saying that he was better than me, or he was bigger than me. And that just doesn’t happen in the street. But if it happened, then he would have an argument to say this was really me. [Laughs] So that’s pretty much where that [stands]."
Freeway Rick Ross has not been successful in his disputes in the past. However, in the aforementioned 2011 interview, he expressed that he would continue to fight this.
"I was willing to go all the way to the Supreme Court when I fought it the first time. I’m not afraid of courts. I fought ‘em from a jail cell, when you have to sleep on the floor and they wake you up at three in the morning, [where] you sleep on a concrete floor, next to a steel toilet with piss on it… So if I can do that, now I can walk inside the courtroom, and sit on a cushioned bench. They dealing with a different animal. I’m a different animal than most of the people walking the street now."
George Zimmerman has issued an emotional apology to the parents of Trayvon Martin ... and says he prays for them every single day.
Zimmerman sat down with Sean Hannity and for the first time on camera, the man who shot and killed 17-year-old Martin back in February is talking about the incident.
During the interview, which airs tonight on Fox News, Hannity asks if Zimmerman had a message for Trayvon's parents ... to which George replied, "I would tell them that, again, I’m sorry."
After noting that he and his wife do not have any children of their own, he continued, "I am sorry that [Trayvon's parents] buried their child ... I can’t imagine what it must feel like and I pray for them daily."
Zimmerman has been charged with 2nd degree murder ... and if convicted, could face up to life in prison.
What in tarnation? The Game has called off his dag-on wedding! I don’t understand! Just a few days ago, there were sources claiming that he was about to do a reality show based on him getting married to whoever-her-name -is. So, suddenly there is this image being distributed about the internet! I’m very confused. Maybe Game wasn’t sure that marriage would help his career? I don’t know, because marriage is all the rage in the adult Hip-Hop nation. LOL! More on this as it comes about.
I think Game will work it out. Hell, they may be filming the drama just to make for a better reality show!

Frank Ocean sells over a 130,000 first-week units, but misses the #1 spot. Aesop Rock scores a Top 20 debut and the most weekly sales of his career with "Skelethon." B.o.B. falls 61 spots from last week.
Although he was over 100,000 units shy of Zac Brown Band, Frank Ocean delivered a powerful shot to the charts with Channel Orange. The Def Jam release garnered a #2 debut, selling over 130,000 digital copies in its first week available. As Frank debuted at retail, Aesop Rock made a gallant return. The former Weathermen/Def Jukie's first solo album with Rhymesayers Entertainment scored a Top 20 appearance. The lyrical emcee sold an impressive 14,000 copies independently, met with some critical praise. Meanwhile, after a strong surge in last week's numbers, B.o.B.'s sophomore Strange Clouds fell 61 places the following week, now at #87.
Channel Orange Takes Over The Week
Frank Ocean has dominated the Pop/Hip Hop news cycle for nearly all of July. The Odd Future affiliate released a letter on July 4 explaining his sexuality and confirming past experiences with men. Less than a week following, Ocean's retail debut Channel Orange was released to free stream, and then made purchasable digitally. Now with a #2 debut, the Def Jam album led all releases, save for Zac Brown's. Channel Orange features appearances by Outkast's Andre 3000 and Odd Future's Earl Sweatshirt, along with production work by Pharrell Williams. The release was largely self-produced by Ocean and James Ho (a/k/a Malay).
Aesop Rock Wins Again
As A$AP Rocky has become the talk of Hip Hop in the last year, Aesop Rock reclaimed his space in Hip Hop. Now a Rhymesayer, the Long Island, New York native released his sixth solo album, Skelethon last week. Aesop's first solo release since 2007's None Shall Pass, this effort was largely made alone, with one vocal guest and self-production. During his hiatus from solo material, Aesop released his group project, Hail Mary Mallon'sAre You Gonna Eat That? last year, along with Felt's third album, Felt 3: A Tribute To Rosie Perez, further expanded his production chops. This release not only marks Aesop's highest charting position of his career in the Top 200, but also the most first-week units recorded by Nielsen, edging out None Shall Pass. Skelethon was also made for free stream earlier this week.
The Boogie Down Productions affiliate and onetime wife to KRS-One has reportedly died. Details are still emerging.
Ms. Melodie (a/k/a Romona Parker) of Boogie Down Productions fame has been confirmed dead this afternoon. Anonymous sources confirmed the tragic news to TheUrbanDaily.com, although the cause and details are still unknown.

When the pair split in the early 1990s, Melodie stepped away from Hip Hop, as Boogie Down Productions spawned the solo careers of KRS, D-Nice and others.
Melodie was mentioned in Nas' 2006 song "Where Are They Now?" as the Queens, New York emcee stated, "I hope she packin' a bankroll."
Former Hot Boy B.G. is headed to federal prison for weapon and witness tampering charges.
B.G.'s legal saga has come to an unfortunate conclusion for the New Orleans rapper.
Nola.com reports that the former Hot Boy was sentenced Wednesday (July 18) to 14 years in federal prison for gun possession and witness tampering.
The report provides that B.G. arrived in a jumpsuit, and sat in a wheelchair.
The rapper, who was arrested after a 2009 traffic stop, previously pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm. He then obstructed justice by convincing one of his associates to claim ownership of the gun.
Prosecutors reportedly sough a 25-year prison sentence, citing B.G.'s past criminal activity. Prosecutors also claimed that he was "profiting off of New Orleans' "cycle of violence," pointing to his music videos as an example, but U.S. District Judge Ginger Berrigan declined to use them as a basis for a lengthier sentence.
Meek Mill apologizes for offending Pastor Jomo K. Johnson for his song "Amen."
Last week, Meek Mill found himself in hot water with local Philadelphia pastor Jomo K. Johnson calling for a ban on his song "Amen," which Pastor Johnson found to be sacrilegious. Now, in a recent interview on BET's "106 & Park," the Maybach Music rapper apologizes for any perceived slights.
Meek said that it was his last intention to offend any of his listners' religious sensabilities with the title of his collabo with Drake. Still, he said that he feels that neither the church nor Pastor Johnson would have ever approved of any kind of Hip Hop, regardless of the title or song content.
“People find all types of stuff offensive. I don’t think no preacher or no church approves of any type of rap music — because rap music, period, is a lot of bad stuff said," he said. "But at the end of the day, it’s real life. And me, I wasn’t trying to disrespect no religion or anything like that. My whole family is Christian. I have a half Christian, half Muslim family, the situation, the song, that’s what energy it felt and if anybody feel disrespected, I ain’t do it in that way...I did it just because it was a good feeling — that’s the feeling it gave me so I said, ‘Amen, church.' I didn’t do it with bad intentions at the end of the day.”
Pastor Johnson responded to Mill's apology in a public statement, lifting the boycott and saying, "This apology was the condition for lifting the Call-to-Action boycott. While I have made the choice not to listen to or support any artist that promotes blasphemy or misogyny in their music, I appreciate Mr. Williams being willing to acknowledge his wrong. It is my sincere hope, that he, along with all popular rappers with their fans, will embrace God’s total forgiveness by turning from the sin promoted through mainstream Hip Hop, and trust solely in Christ for salvation.”
Women are edging ahead in the battle of the sexes - at least in terms of IQ.
Women have overtaken men in IQ scores for the first time in a century after scoring as much as five points lower than men for the past 100 years, The Telegraph reported.
Men are also boasting rising IQ scores even though they have fallen behind.
Increases in male and female IQ scores can be attributed to intellectual adaptations to modern life, according to James Flynn, a well-known IQ testing expert.
"This is a consequence of modernity," Flynn said. "The complexity of the modern world is making our brains adapt and raising our IQ."
IQ, which is widely considered to be an accurate predictor of both educational achievement and job performance, is believed to be a product of both hereditary and environmental factors.
Flynn, who is currently writing a book about IQ and gender, reasoned that women may now be testing higher than men because the challenge of both raising a family and pursuing a career is making them more intelligent.
Another theory is that women may have always had the potential to score higher on IQ tests, but are only finally doing so because women's access to education was tempered in the past.
"This improvement is more marked for women than for men because they were disadvantaged in the past," Flynn said.
Flynn acknowledged that he needs more data to adequately explain the IQ testing differences.
IQ, however, isn't the only area where there's a gender gap.
Women are expected to make up 59 percent of total undergraduate enrollment and 61 percent of total graduate enrollment in the U.S. in less than decade, according to a 2010 report by the Education Department's National Center for Education Statistics.
Women in the workforce are also surpassing men in holding college degrees, according to data released by the Census Bureau in 2011. Thirty-five percent of employed men have earned a bachelor's degree or higher, as compared to 37 percent of women.
But while men seem to be falling behind in the educational sphere, they still tend to earn higher wages than their female counterparts.
Women's wages tend to plateau at $60,000 per year by the time they reach 39, according to a recent study by Payscale.com. Men's earnings, on the other hand, continue to grow to about $95,000 per year until age 48.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant was arrested on a family violence charge in Texas earlier today.
The details surrounding the arrest are unclear ... but according to local law enforcement, the charge is a Class A misdemeanor ... and Bryant was released after posting bail.
Law enforcement says Bryant's bail was less than $2,000.
When contacted by a local media outlet, Bryant confirmed there was an incident ... but wouldn't get into specifics. He did say, "I'm good."
This isn't Bryant's first brush with the law ... earlier this year, he was detained by Miami police after he was allegedly involved in an altercation outside LIV nightclub ... but he was not arrested and no police report was filed.

After a half-decade as a group, R&B quartet Day26 has decided to call it quits.
In a statement released today, Robert Curry, Brian Andrews, Willie Taylor and Michael "Butta" McCluney announce that they've decided to go their separate ways to pursue solo careers.

The group first released its eponymous debut in March 2008, debuting atop the Billboard 200 with 190,000 sold. They released Forever in a Day the following year, but Qwanell "Que" Mosley parted ways with the group in December 2009. NBA star Jason Kidd was arrested for DWI this morning in New York ... Southampton Police tell TMZ ... after Kidd allegedly crashed his car into a telephone pole.
Kidd was the lone passenger in the accident, which police say happened around 1:56 AM. Police at the scene described Kidd as "being intoxicated."
He was taken to a local hospital to treat minor injuries. After being released from the hospital, he was transported to the local police station for processing.
Cops say the all-star point guard was then arraigned on a misdemeanor DWI charge in Southampton Town Justice Court and later released on his own recognizance.
Kidd won an NBA title with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011 ... but signed a three-year, $9.5 million deal with the Knicks on July 5.
The latest development in the tragic saga of Usher's stepson is not a happy one.
According to TMZ, the singer's ex Tameka Foster may be forced to pull the plug on her 11-year-old son Kyle Glover because her insurance can only cover hospital bills for a finite amount of time, and she can't afford the sky-high medical expenses otherwise.
Glover is currently on life support after being involved in a devastating jet ski accident last weekend, when he and a female pal were struck by a family friend as they floated on inner tubes on Georgia's Lake Lanier.
Both children were immediately rushed to Child's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, where Usher's stepson was promptly declared brain dead.
At present, sources tell TMZ that though Foster's insurance company hasn't specified when they'll stop covering Glover's medical bills, the outlook is bleak - they will likely shell out coverage for a few more months at most.
If Foster is unable to continue paying for Glover's life support, then she will be forced to pull the plug.
Usher, who was in a bitter divorce battle with Foster when the tragedy occured, has been very supportive of his ex through these tough times, even chartering a plane to fly her to the hospital to be by Glover's side.
"Tameka and Usher don't get along, but in this circumstance Usher is coming to her side," a source told Us Weekly of the situation. "Usher practically raised Kyle as his own. He's known him for seven years. It is so sad what happened."
The R&B singer has not, however, yet offered to pay for any medical bills, so Foster is not counting on him to help her out with the pricey hospital costs.
Still, Foster remains hopeful that her son will be able to make a recovery, and is reportedly telling friends that she still believes in miracles.
Last week, reports surfaced that Usher is looking to settle matters with Foster as soon as possible in the wake of the accident.
In the new proposal, TMZ reports that Usher is willing to let Foster have "a majority" of custody over the two children they share together - Usher Raymond V, 4, and Naviyd, 3.
Foster is reportedly open to a "reasonable settlement," but has not yet been formally presented with the new offer.
Terrell Owens, who last played in the NFL as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2010, faces the potential of jail time for failing to pay $20,000 in child support, according to a report Friday morning from ESPN.com:
Melanie Page Smith, the mother of Owens’ 7-year-old daughter, has alleged that Owens has not made any payments in months, according to the report. The six-time Pro Bowler previously had agreed to pay Smith $5,000 per month.
If Owens does not attend the hearing on July 19 to address the missed payments, the County Judge in Atlanta reportedly told the attorney for the mother of Owens’ child that he could face jail time. Owens’ attorney took the blame for his clients absence at a July 12 hearing, claiming he forgot to communicate with Owens.
Owens has not played on an organized football team since May 2012, when he was released by the Indoor Football League’s Allen Wranglers.
DMX had quite the rough ride early this morning ... when he lost control of the four-wheeler he was riding and ended up in the hospital with a concussion.
X tells TMZ he was riding outside his home in South Carolina when he crashed while riding down a hill. He says he flipped over and, lucky for him, landed right on his ass.
The rapper says he doesn't remember much, other than the lights from the ambulance, and he doesn't know when he will be released.
This is the second time this year X has been in the hospital -- he dealt with a bout of food poisoning back in January.
Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Johnson might have a $126-million contract tied to his name, but that doesn't mean his alleged baby mama can't pony up some of her own cash for the kid, this according to legal docs.
The All-Star guard filed paternity paperwork earlier this week in Georgia to legally establish himself as the father of his alleged 5-year old son, whose mother is named Shannon Beckton.
In the docs, Johnson says he still wants to test for DNA (just in case) ... but if he is the father, he is asking the judge for joint physical and legal custody, for his son to be able to inherit from him, and for his son to take on his last name.
Not only that -- Johnson says Beckton should be held responsible for some of the financial support of the child as well ... so the burden doesn't rest solely on his multi-million dollar shoulders.
The junior Stallone was reportedly found at home in Los Angeles. TMZ reports that his father is extremely distraught. The Post spoke with Sage Moonblood Stallone's attorney, who said the death came as a complete shock.
"He was in good spirits, and working on all kinds of projects,” George Braunstein told the paper. “He was planning on getting married. I am just devastated. He was an extremely wonderful, loving guy. This is a tragedy.”
The Post reports that his mother, Sasha Czack, had also been notified of her son's passing. Stallone made his acting debut alongside his father in "Rocky V." He went on to act in a number of films, most recently in "Promises Written in Water" in 2010 (he also appeared in "The Agent," a short, and in a 2011 television documentary episode on the Rocky films).
Michael Clarke Duncan is in the intensive care unit at an L.A. hospital after going into cardiac arrest this morning ... and might have died if not for the swift action of his girlfriend Omarosa Manigault.
TMZ has learned ... Omarosa discovered the "Green Mile" actor in a state of cardiac arrest just before 2:00 AM.
We're told Omarosa performed CPR and was able to resuscitate the 54-year-old.
MCD was transported to a nearby hospital where he was immediately admitted to the ICU.
Sources tell us ... Duncan's heart rate is now stable and Omarosa is by his side. Doctors are performing tests to figure out why the actor's heart stopped in the first place.

A New York City, New York clothing designer has sued Jay-Z and his former Roc-A-Fella record label partners, claiming they owe him $7 million in unpaid royalties for designing their label logo.
According to NYDN, Dwayne Walker filed a suit in Manhattan yesterday that he created the Roc-A-Fella design and wasn’t properly compensated for his work.
“The logo has become universally recognized as an iconic symbol of Jay-Z, one of the most successful recording artists in the history of popular music,” the suit claims.
Walker designed the logo in 1995 when Roc-A-Fella started. The suit says he saw the initial logo that Damon Dash had in mind, and said he could do better.

Meek Mill and a Philadelphia pastor argue it out over a proposed ban on the MMG rapper's "Amen."
Despite having garnered critical acclaim and extensive fan support, it looks like one Philadelphia pastor is thrilled about Meek Mill's success. On Philly's Hot 107.9, the MMG rapper and Pastor Jomo K. Johnson got into a heated debate over Johnson's proposed ban of Meek's single "Amen," off Dreamchasers 2.
Earlier this week, Johnson called for a boycott against Mill's hit song, declaring it blasphemous for its repurposing of religious imagery in a celebratory anthem. Now, Meek took the pastor to task, saying that his public outcry against the song rings suspiciously of an attempt at publicity. He went on to say that Pastor Johnson religious rhetoric doesn't speak to his experiences or music.
"From my understanding and my look at it, it's looking like you're trying to get famous or you need some attention because you could've came to me and you could've said anything you wanted to say and I might've helped you," he said. "If you wanted me to send money for your church, I might've would've gave you that money, or I might've would've even remixed the song [to your liking]…you went about it and you went like you're looking for attention and fame…I'm out here feeding my family, and for you to be out talking about you trying to ban me - I took 20-30 drug dealers off the streets, I'm out there passing them coats out to these kids, where was you at?"
He continued, "I don't know if you're losing your mind or you're getting too deep into these books, but you're losing your mind. I'm out here making my money for my family. I don't believe in none of that stuff you're talking about, so don't even say it to me. I don't even believe in God, so I don't want to hear none of that…I'm talking about reality, what's going on now…[you] not God, [you] can't judge me…nobody ever heard of you until today; you're trying to bring another Black man down to try and get some credibility."
It was almost like Britney Spears' brain was killed by a poisonous mushroom at the "X Factor" auditions in North Carolina ... 'cause she went CRAZY for a Vanilla Ice wannabe who busted out "Ice Ice Baby" ... and it was all caught on tape.
It all went down BEFORE that crazy lightning storm in Greensboro ... Britney was so moved by some guy's rendition of the '90s rap ... she actually got out of her seat and started shakin' her ass with the music.
Simon, L.A. and Demi weren't feelin' it as much. They just don't understand.
50 Cent speaks on his relationship with his fellow G-Unit members, says he's tired of serving as their manager.
Weeks after appearing on Power 106's Big Boy’s Neighborhood, rapper 50 Cent returned to the show to give an update on his relationship with fellow G-Unit member Lloyd Banks. 50 Cent previously revealed that he hadn’t talked to the rapper in months and now it appears that Fifty is fed up with Banks’ recent actions or lack thereof.
“It’s interesting. Growing up people have habits they refuse to change…I’ve enabled them to a point that they don’t feel like they have to do anything,” 50 Cent explained. “Now they have this thing where their way of dealing with something that’s uncomfortable is just not dealing with it. I end up doing their job too.”
According to 50 Cent he’s been serving as somewhat of a manager for both Banks and Yayo, but has now found himself fed up with the role
“The top of last year I’m saying ‘Yo, you gotta find managers.’ They gotta find other people to do that cause I gotta focus on other things [and] other projects I got going,” said 50 Cent. “I’m on a movie set, what you wanna call me and say ‘Yo, I need to go do this?’ Set a show up? Like the guy’s calling me about your show while I’m on a movie set?”
Although 50 Cent explained that G-Unit as we know it isn’t over, he did reveal that Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo have a lot of stepping up to do.
“I don’t think it’s actually over,” said the rapper. “I think they have to get themselves together. You got grown men that will remind you, ‘I’m a grown ass man,’ and then don’t do grown men things and take grown man responsibilities for themselves.”
Kanye West says that the site is "so fuckin' full of shit."
During one of two performances this past weekend at Atlantic City, New Jersey's Revel, Kanye West took a break from his show to put MediaTakeOut on blast. The notoriously outspoken rapper said that the site, which often reports on his personal life, is "fuckin' full of shit" and that they try to make everything negative.
"If you have something to give the world, a lot of times, the press just tries to take everything negative. Just look at MediaTakeOut, they so fuckin’ full of shit. Show your motherfuckin’ face so I can smack the shit out of you! Making up shit every day," he ranted. "I am flawed as a human being. I am flawed as a person. As a man, I am flawed. But my music is perfect! This is the best you gon’ get ladies and gentlemen in this lifetime, I’m sorry. You go back to Beethoven and shit, but as far as this lifetime though, this is all you got."
R&B STAR Usher’s stepson is fighting for his life in Georgia after he was badly injured in a boating accident on a lake outside Atlanta, according to news reports.
Kyle Glover, 11, and a 15-year-old girl were on an inner tube towed by a speedboat on Lake Lanier when a jet ski operated by a man in their group hit the tube, TV station WXIA reports.
