Although Roc Nation artist Rita Ora says that Beyonce is her idol, it seems as if she is really following in the footsteps of Rihanna. First Rita took Rihanna’s style, then she stole her song, and now her sloppy seconds?
According to The Sun Rita was seen making out with rapper Drake after his show in Newcastle, UK. Check out what they printed below:
The pair were spotted kissing backstage at his Newcastle gig this week, where Rita was the warm-up act. Rita’s new single, “R.I.P”, is written by Canadian hip-hop star Drake – and they have known each other for ages.
A source says: “Rita and Drake have been good friends for a while now but things seemed more serious this week.
“They were all over each other backstage at the gig on Monday and weren’t trying to hide it.”
I’m not sure following Rihann’a blueprint is going to work for Rita Ora. Just be yourself, sweetheart!
Young Jeezy finally received a well-deserved nod from President Obama at the White House Correspondants Dinner Saturday night.
After being asked what would happen a second term, the president joked to the glee of the audience in attendance.
“In my first term, I sang Al Green; in my second term, I’m going with Young Jeezy,” the president quipped.
“My President” was the fourth single from Young Jeezy’s third album, The Recession. The album was recorded the day Barack Obama was confirmed as the Democratic presidential nominee.
The song also features Nas.
In 2008, Jeezy told MTV that he never expected to be recognized by the president.
“I’m a street cat 100 percent, but there’s certain things I had to distance myself between too if I wanna lead the way for the rest of us, if I wanna spit that game back to the ‘hood,” Jeezy said. ” … I don’t expect Obama to come send me a thank-you letter for the song. I feel like he did his thing, and I did what I could to help.”
Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose suffered a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss the rest of the season, the team announced Saturday.
Rose suffered the injury while trying to leap off his left foot in the lane with 1:22 left in Saturday's playoff game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Rose was helped off the court before the Bulls sealed their 103-91 Game 1 win. Rose had 23 points, nine rebounds and nine assists when he was injured.
Team medical personnel immediately rushed out and tended to Rose for several minutes as he was writhing in pain near the baseline before helping him to the locker room. Rose was taken to the hospital, where MRI results confirmed the Bulls' worst fears.
Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau was asked about his philosophy of keeping his top players in late-game situations when the outcome is not in doubt. It's been a recurrent line of questioning for Thibodeau, especially concerning Rose, who has battled several injuries.
"I don't work backwards like you guys do," Thibodeau said. "The score was going the other way."
The mood in the Bulls' locker room was not befitting a victorious team.
"I just started saying a prayer," said Bulls backup guard John Lucas, who will now see additional playing time with Rose out.
"It's like the saddest win," Bulls shooting guard Kyle Korver said. "Regardless, we've got to pick ourselves up. We've played a lot of games this year without him. So maybe it was just getting us ready for this."
Game 2 is Tuesday.
The 23-year-old Rose played in just 39 of the Bulls' 66 regular-season games because of turf toe, back spasms, pulled groin and foot injuries. He hasn't played more than two games in a row since suffering a foot injury on March 12.
"It's tough," Carlos Boozer said. "It seems like he just can't catch a break. ... I just feel for him, man. He really can't catch a break this season."
50 Cent creates a virtual casino with "50 Cent's Blackjack" while Jay-Z aims to help you create your own "Empire" with his Facebook game.
As rappers, both Jay-Z and 50 Cent have battled it out on the charts but now the two Hip Hop moguls turned businessmen have found a new platform to compete with one another on and that is the Facebook gaming platform.
For his Facebook game titled 50 Cent’s Blackjack, 50 Cent linked up with Game Show Network (GSN) digital to create a virtual casino where Facebook users can challenge their friends or play the games dealer.
"I am excited to partner with GSN Digital on this venture to create an unparalleled social gaming experience for my fans," 50 Cent explained to Hip-Hop Wired. "50 Cent's Blackjack is filled with fun twists and innovative features that is sure to provide hours of entertainment."
Unlike 50 Cent’s Blackjack, Jay-Z’s Empire will take more of a Sims-like approach where Facebook users can quite literally create their own empire as they work their way from “hustler, to entrepreneur, to business mogul.”
While 50 Cent’s Blackjack is up and running on Facebook, according to Complex Jay-Z’s Empire is currently in its beta testing stage.

Waka Flocka Flame weighs in on the Tupac hologram at Coachella and says "that shit wack."
While everyone from Nas to Raekwon praised Dr. Dre's decision to bring a hologram of Tupac Shakur onstage to perform live at Coachella, the move has left some artists with a bad taste in their mouths. Now, in a recent interview with Vibe, Brick Squad representative Waka Flocka Flame explains why he didn't like the virtual performance.
Flocka said that he felt the hologram was a kitschy cash-grab that exploited the death of a legendary artist. He added that it still doesn't sit well with him despite the fact that Dre made a donation to the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation and received the blessings of Afeni Shakur prior to following through with the plan.
"I hated it, I don't think that shit needs to be done," he said. "That shit wack. I don't think they should be doing that. 'Cause they getting paid off a dead man's body...that shit still ain't cool [that the charity got paid]. You don't know what a dead man be wanting to do...you gotta let that man rest in peace. He's a great."
Sources close to Kid Cudi are spilling the beans that the rapper allegedly bedded Bad Boy artist Cassie. According to the source, Diddy found out about the alleged hookup, and now Cudi is said to be living in fear for his life. Cudi is allegedly completely paranoid and believes that Diddy is plotting to get revenge on him.
We hear that the “affair” happened a few months ago. Cassie had befriended Cudi and leaned on him a lot as she was going through her personal issues with Diddy. Cudi has allegedly been “spitting game” at Cassie for a while and took advantage of her while she was in a vulnerable state.
Sources say that while Diddy was allegedly initially very upset, the affair seems to have brought Diddy and Cassie closer.
Earlier this week, Cudi claimed his Twitter hacked after these messages appeared:
The surce also says Cudi left clues about the affair in his latest song, “Dennis, Hook Me Up With Some More Of That Whiskey!”, which dropped last week.
“They 100% had sex,” the source tells Bossip. “And that’s where the lines “Ni**az really want me dead, HATE Not my fault Im intriguing’ are from. Diddy wanting him dead when he found out.”
First Jim Jones and Chrissy Lampkin left Love & Hip-Hop for the greener pastures of their own reality TV show, and now it looks like Fabolous’ longtime girlfriend, Love & Hip-Hop’s Emily B, has announced that she will also be leaving the show. Check out her tweet below:
Shortly after, Emily B tweeted this:
It sure does seem like she’s hinting that she will be starring in another reality show on VH1….possibly with her son’s father, Fabolous. Fabolous caught a lot of flack on Twitter because he refused to film any scenes with Emily B, who was in turmoil throughout the two seasons she was a part of the show.
Will we be seeing Fabolous on reality TV soon? Only time will tell.
A few months back, Nas’ daughter Destiny instagram’ed a photo of a box of condoms on a nightstand by her bed. She is only 17 years old. This glimpse into her young life had the tell-tale signs of a “Black girl lost.” Nas chose to address these issues and others in his new track, “Daughters”, in which he blames himself for not being more involved in his child’s life.
His ex-girl and the mother of his daughter, Carmen Bryant, was not very happy with the song and decided to air her grievances on Twitter. Carmen ended up engaging in various verbal back and forths with Nas’ fans, and it was not pretty.
Check out what Carmen tweeted below:
She went into further details saying the following:
“I’m a mother first, and if Destiny is upset about something-that makes me upset.
I think he really didn’t realize how the song would affect Destiny. He should have allowed her to hear if first.
His short coming was humiliating her in public by rehashing the mistakes she has made via a song. Not right.
…humiliate our children on wax for the mistakes that they make. Who does that?
I didn’t hear anything positive in that song.
That song was created b/c he felt like he owed his listeners an explanation. Period. And I don’t.
He doesn’t owe his fans an explanation with regard to what goes on with Destiny, she is his daughter not his artist. Period.
That’s why he addressed. He cares what you guys think about him. That song was for YOU..not Destiny.”
Nas said the following in a recent interview with XXL Magazine regarding the song:
“She’s my first kid, my first time watching a child become a teen and a little adult before my eyes,” he continued. “That’s one of the most important things in my life: she is. I can’t get away from talking about it. It’s actually one of the first songs I recorded for this album.”
“Daughters” is Nas’ latest single from his upcoming LP, Life Is Good, slated to drop July 17. Do you think Nas is wrong for speaking about his relationship with his daughter in the track?
We’ve been hearing rumors since January that MMG breakout star Meek Mill was dating the baddest of them all, Rihanna. Well, now, a rock solid source inside MMG has confirmed to us that Meek and Ri Ri have indeed been getting it in and spending lots of time together in Los Angeles.
We all know how Rihanna likes to air her grievances and document her intimate feeling on Twitter, so we took a look at her timeline, and we found lots of slight hints from both Rihanna and Meek Mill about their blossoming relationship.
Exhibit A. — Rihanna and Mills were tweeting each other back in February, with both of them tweeting each other’s lyrics mixed with a sexually suggestive twist. Check out the tweets below:
The two also tweeted each other directly. Check out those tweets below:
Exhibit B. – Back in January, it was reported that Rihanna was in a club when she asked the DJ to quit playing her music and requested to hear Meek Mill. Hmm.
Exhibit C – Just recently, Meek instagram’d a photo of Jahlil Beats and his homie Leem crashing in the studio, and Ri Ri commented twice on the photo, hinting that she knew the crew had been eating weed brownies and alluding that she had been hanging out in the studio with them. Meek never mentioned anything about brownies. Check out the tweets below:
Look for these two to come out with a collabo song real soon. Rihanna sure does get around, doesn’t she? I wonder how Drake feels about this….
Guess what? Rick Ross came down to the University of Delaware the other day and boy did he make a mistake. We know that Ross is used to being in the hood spots, but he was at the University of Delaware, a school that is damn near Ivy League! Well, here is the funny. Not that Delaware State University is hood, but its an historically Black college aka an HBCU! I’m assuming Rick Ross is used to going to Del State, because he continuously referred to UD as Del State! Huge mistake! Del State and UD are rivals in Delaware, which is the second smallest state in the USA. The funny thing is Meek Mill was there and he kept trying to remind The Bawse on stage that they were not at Del State, but Ross kept on! People that were there don’t think Ross knew were he was. He also performed the same song twice. Big mistake, small place. – illseed
Miami rapper/producer/personality DJ Khaled was forced to cancel a concert in Orlando, Florida, after his tour bus blew up.
DJ Khaled was supposed to perform at the 2012 Grad Bash last night (April 27), but could not make the show.
Khaled tweeted photos of his tour bus, which caught fire and exploded on the side of the highway.
“I’m sry I couldn’t make it 2 grad bash it was out my control my tour bus caught on fire & blew up!” DJ Khaled tweeted. “The gd thing me & my team is ok!”
DJ Khaled actually owned the vehicle in question, having purchased it in late 2010, after paying too much to rent buses for his tours.
“I was sick of renting tour buses, because that s**t is expensive,” DJ Khaled said in an interview in late 2010. “What I did was bought me a new tour bus. We going to be on the road a lot, we going to be in them clubs a lot and we going to be in them stadiums a lot. We’re going to be everywhere. This is the way we got to travel, so I wanted to do it right.”
Luckily all occupants escaped the fire unharmed.

An Idaho man has been charged with assault after authorities say he ordered another man to perform the “moonwalk” at gunpoint.
The Bonner County Daily Bee (http://bit.ly/IGAoPn) reports 30-year-old John Ernest Cross was charged with the felony Tuesday in 1st District Court and appointed a public defender.
Police say they were called Monday to Cross’ home in Clark Fork after getting a report that he pointed a rifle at another man and demanded that the man perform the dance move popularized by Michael Jackson in the 1980s.
Investigators accuse Cross of using a semiautomatic rifle during the episode, but Cross claimed during his initial court appearance this week that the firearm was simply a pellet gun.
College football is on the verge of finally having a playoff, its own version of the final four.
For the first time, all the power brokers who run the highest level of the sport are comfortable with the idea of deciding a championship the way it's done from pee-wees to pros. And the way fans have been hoping they would for years.
"Yes, we've agreed to use the P word," Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott said Thursday.
They want to limit it to four teams. That's for sure. Now they have to figure out how to pick the teams, where and when to play the games and how the bowls do or do not fit in. The new postseason format would go into effect for the 2014 season.
As for the 14-year-old Bowl Championship Series, it's on life support. Any chance that it survives past the next two seasons? "I hope not," said Southeastern Conference Commissioner Mike Slive, who pitched a four-team playoff four years ago but was shot down at this same hotel beachside hotel.
"This is a seismic change for college football," BCS Executive Director Bill Hancock said after the 11 conference commissioners and Notre Dame's athletic director wrapped up three days of meetings in south Florida.
That Hancock actually used the word playoff when describing what was being considered alone signaled a shift in thinking for the BCS. In a memo leading up to these meetings, the term "four-team event" was used to describe creating two national semifinals and a championship game.
Hancock said the commissioners will present a "small number" of options for a four-team playoff to their leagues over the next month or so at conference meetings. He estimated that between two and seven configurations are being considered.
It'll be up to each conference to determine which plan it likes best. The commissioners will get back together in June and try to come up with a final version, and eventually the university presidents will have to sign off on it. Hancock has said they'd like a new format ready for approval by July 4.
And he warned that if no agreement is reached, the fallback could be sticking with an overhauled version of the old system, which aims for a No. 1 vs. No. 2 championship game.
But that's a longshot.
"It's great to get to a point where there seems to be general consensus that a four-team, three-game playoff is the best route to go," Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford said. "The next challenge obviously is figuring out a format that brings consensus where we can truly make that work. The more this narrows, the more challenging it gets."
The first step is figuring out the where and when. The when should be easy.
The commissioners all agree the college football season needs to wrap up as close to Jan. 1 as possible. That would mean semifinals soon after Christmas and the title game within a few days of the calendar flipping.
"One of the goals is to make the postseason a celebration of college football," Slive said. "And to focus in on a reasonable time frame that is consistent with a reasonable bowl season. And then be able to have a championship game and semifinals at a time and a place that would allow us to really celebrate college football at a time when people are thinking about college football, which is in and around the end of December and early January."
Where is the best place to celebrate college football? That figures to be a heated debate.
Slive has made it clear he's not a fan of playing semifinals on campus, a plan the Big Ten has presented and the Pac-12 supports.
"I'm a big proponent of it," Scott said. "That was the choice we made in our conference with our championship game. Collegiate atmosphere. Guaranteed sellout. We've said all along preserving the regular season is important. What better way to emphasize the importance of the regular season then having a chance to earn a home game? It's a proven NFL model."
Slive prefers playing the games at neutral sites, the way the NCAA basketball tournament does.
That leads to the question: How do the bowls fit in?
The national championship game has shifted between the Sugar, Orange, Fiesta and Rose bowl sites during the 14 years the BCS has been in existence. First, the bowl itself was the championship game. Then the BCS moved to a five-game model in which the championship was played after the bowls but at one of those four stadiums.
The commissioners are considering allowing the bowls to be involved, but not necessarily calling the three playoff games "bowls."
The Fiesta Bowl would be fine not hosting a bowl in certain years, if it can host a playoff game. On the other hand, the Rose Bowl would prefer to just be the Rose Bowl, sticking with its traditional matchup of Big Ten champion vs. Pac-12 champion on New Year's Day. But those league champions will often be heading to the playoffs in a new format.
"They definitely want to be part of the system," Scott said of the Rose Bowl.
The commissioners won't even get into how they pick the teams until after they have presented a format to the presidential oversight committee.
"The whole topic of selection and who would get in is something that we've really parked for now," Scott said. "We realize that's going to require a whole lot more debate and study."
Among those debates: Slive prefers the four top-ranked teams regardless of conferences in the playoffs. Scott likes the idea of taking the top four conference champions as a way of moving away from the subjectivity of polls that dominant the current BCS standings.
Much to be decided, but at least everybody is talking the same language: playoffs.
"I've always tried not to use the dreaded P-word," Slive said. "But now we're all using it. So what the heck?"
Wiz Khalifa said he would be collaborate with West because "it's about the culture and the creativity factor."
Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West reportedly clashed backstage at a show over the former's fiance and the latter's ex-girlfriend, Amber Rose. But after 'Ye shouted out Wiz on his new cut "Way Too Cold," the Taylor Gang rapper says that there are no hard feelings and that he would even be open to collaborating with West.
During an interview on "MTV's Hip-Hop POV," Khalifa took the song's reference as a compliment. "I took it as he knows I'm a good guy," he said. "He really was into her, so the fact that we're two great people that are treating each other well, he's coming down and saying, 'Hey, hats off to you.' That's how I see it."
He also told "RapFix Live" host Sway Calloway that "it's all love" and that if he was offered a free beat from West, he would be hesitant about taking it but wouldn't entirely rule out collaborating. "That's what it's all about though, it's about the culture and the creativity factor," he said.
Yesterday marked the 10-year anniversary of the tragic death of TLC member, Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, who died in a fatal car accident in Honduras at the age of 30. A rep for the group told TMZ that Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas were currently working on a massive 2012 reunion tour in the U.S., and that the tour will allegedly include a hologram of deceased member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopez.
Well, today the Washington Post is reporting that, although Left Eye will be incorporated in the tour, it won’t be as a two-dimensional hologram a la Tupac at Coachella.
T-Boz later said on Twitter that the group did not give a statement to TMZ and does not have five shows already booked. A rep further clarified the situation saying:
“The image is not a hologram,” the rep said. “The girls have done shows before with footage of old performances showing Lisa performing with them on a screen as they perform.”
In addition to a tour, T-Boz and Chill told Essence they are planning to do a new album. There’s also a bio-pic possibly with VH-1 on the way!

One World Trade Center, being built at the site of the fallen twin towers, could surpass the Empire State Building as the tallest building in New York as soon as next week, an official said on Tuesday.
The iconic Empire State Building, built in 1931, was the city's tallest at a height of 1,545 feet to the tip of its broadcast antenna until 1972 when it was overtaken by the original World Trade Center towers. It then regained the title after the September 11, 2001 attacks, which destroyed the complex.
Construction started six years ago on the new World Trade Center and now the skyscraper, formerly called the Freedom Tower, is poised to surpass the 102-story Empire State Building, Port Authority Executive Director Patrick Foye told reporters.
"Weather permitting, we expect that we could exceed the height of the Empire State Building on Monday," Foye said.
One World Trade Center will stand at 1,776 feet to the tip of its antenna when it is completed, possibly by late 2013.
The skyscraper, only 55 percent of which is leased, will be higher than the former twin towers, which were toppled in the 2001 attacks in which more than 3,000 people were killed. The north tower stood 1,727 feet including its antenna.
Calling One World Trade Center a "newer, taller cousin," the Empire State Building's spokesman in a statement said: "We've watched you grow and now we salute you."

Obama gave a spoken word speech during their "Slow Jam the News" segment.
President Barack Obama performed with The Roots and Jimmy Fallon at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as part of their "Slow Jam the News" segment.
During the performance, Obama gave a spoken word speech over backing music from The Roots. He talked about the student loan crisis, while Fallon chimed in with quips like "the Barackness monster ain't buying it" and Black Thought sang jokes like "He's the POTUS with the mosta."
Earlier this year, Obama stirred up media attention with his rendition of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together," sung at the Apollo Theater in January.
Wiz Khalifa was busted for weed at a Holiday Inn in Nashville, Tennessee.
Wiz Khalifa was given a marijuana citation at his hotel room in the Holiday Inn in Nashville, Tennessee.
According to TMZ, a fellow guest at the hotel complained about the smell of marijuana, resulting in a call to police. Upon their arrival, Wiz tossed a small bag of pot in hopes of concealing it from the cops, who retrieved the item.
Wiz was given a citation for the incident, though no arrests were made.
In November 2010, he was arrested for trafficking marijuana following a performance at East Carolina University. A year later, the charges were dropped against Wiz because police were in error at the time of arrest.
A judge has ruled that lyrics from one of Lil Boosie's songs can be used as evidence against him in his murder trial.
It looks like Lil Boosie's ongoing trial for first-degree murder trial is going to get worse before it gets any better. A judge has ruled that specific lyrics from one of the Baton Rouge rapper's songs are admissible as evidence in his trial.
According to a recent report from NBC 33 TV, Judge Mike Erwin ruled during a pre-trial hearing this past Tuesday that three specific lyrics from one of Boosie's songs can be used by the prosecution to show personal intent in the murder case. Interrogating officer of the Baton Rouge police Alvin Howard says that the specific lines “187,” “murk,” and “cake” are references to Boosie allegedly hiring a hitman to murder Terry Boyd in 2009.
The ruling has not come without some resistance from the defense. Boosie's lawyers argue that not only is Officer Howard not an expert witness in rap slang, but that the prosecution may have altered the lyrics of the track in question and thus should not play the song in court. Judge Erwin sustained both of the defense's objections, but allowed the specific lyrics in question to be entered into evidence.
The name of the song in question has yet to be revealed to the general public. If found guilty, Lil Boosie faces a life sentence in prison.
In a recent interview with MTV, Wayne said that he has moved on from the long awaited project and will be reusing much of the music originally recorded for the LP on his upcoming I Am Not a Human Being II. He explained that while his recent prison sentence definitely put a damper on the initial release time for the LP, it was Santana's own legal issues last year that prevented the duo from finishing it.
"I actually got at [Jue]lz when I got out [of jail] and told him, 'Man, I think it's time we really capitalize on that,'" he explained. "[Now], he can't work how he wants to work because they shut down his studio. I sent him some music and he didn't send them back in the time-fashion that I work. I started putting extra verses on those songs and I've moved on. Now what probably would've been I Can't Feel My Face, has now turned into I Am Not a Human Being II."
Kanye West’ swipe at basketball star Kris Humphries on the track “Way Too Cold” could come back to haunt his new love Kim Kardashian – in court.
Lawyers for Kris Humphries will challenge Kim Kardashian’s relationship with rapper Kanye West, in Humphries upcoming divorce case against Kardashian.
RadarOnline.com reports that Kris Humphries’ lawyers will attempt to prove that Kim’s relationship with Kanye is simply a publicity stunt.
Lawyers for the Brooklyn Nets basketball star claim that Kim has already broken her promise not to reveal details of her love life publicly.
This is important, because Kris Humphries claims his wedding was a sham and that Kim married him for publicity reasons.
Kris’ lawyers decided to pounce, after E! cameras were spotted filming Kanye and Kim at dinner on Monday (April 23) during the opening of restaurant RYU, in New York City.
“The crux of Kris’ case for annulment is that Kim married him under fraudulent pretenses and did it for her reality show. Team Humphries wants to know if producers of the Kardashian reality shows were in contact with Kanye West prior to the new couple dating or going public with their relationship and what those conversations consisted of,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “When did Kim develop romantic feelings for Kanye and why after publicly stating she wouldn’t feature any future romantic relationships on her reality shows, did she do a complete 360?”
Kris Humphries is also suing the reality star for $10 million dollars, in addition seeking an annulment of their 72-day marriage.
Rapper 50 Cent has filed a motion to block Young Buck’s sale of his intellectual property, in an attempt to pay off creditors, as part of his bankruptcy filing.
According to the Wall Street Journal, 50 Cent’s lawyers filed motions to stop the sale of Young Buck’s recordings, publishing and other intellectual property, until a judge decides what Young Buck is allowed to sell.
Lawyers for 50 Cent claim that Young Buck’s agreement with G-Unit already grants them the rights to almost all of the intellectual property the rapper created while he was signed to the label.
“The creditors are left with no choice but to file this opposition to ensure that the trustee is not seeking to adversely affect the creditors’ rights in assets that they own, or in which they have rights and interests,” 50 Cent’s attorneys wrote in recently filed court papers.
In addition to his music, lawyers for G-Unit say the label owns all trademarks, logos and even Young Buck’s professional name.
A judge is expected to weigh in on the motion next week.
Much like his playing days, Deion Sanders' tumultuous marriage has had no shortage of flash and drama: A reality television show, a divorce arrangement in which the couple still lived together and now, misdemeanor assault charges.
Police said late Tuesday that the former Dallas Cowboys star was cited for misdemeanor simple assault in the wake of an altercation with his estranged wife, Pilar, that got her arrested Monday at their mansion in the Dallas suburb of Prosper.
The Hall of Famer had tweeted Monday that she attacked him, and he even posted a photo of his children filling out police reports. He later removed the photo and posted a new message about joy.
Police said further investigation led to a charge also being filed against the football star, though it didn't warrant his arrest. Prosper police spokesman Celso Martinez wouldn't detail the allegations, but said the charge covers any act considered aggressive and could be as simple as touching or defensively jerking away from someone's grip. It carries a fine of up to $500.
A message left with Deion Sanders' attorney by The Associated Press wasn't immediately returned.
A day after Pilar was arrested, Deion had removed the tweeted photo. He also tweeted a different message: "Joy came this morning and we opened the door and let Joy in."
Pilar Sanders, who was charged with misdemeanor assault and held overnight in county jail, was released Tuesday. Standing outside Collin County Jail, she said she was being treated unfairly.
"I'm a full-time mom, 100 percent for my children," she said, her voice breaking. "And I just haven't been given a fair shake."
Her husband, known as "Prime Time" during his Hall of Fame playing career, is an icon in the Dallas area for spending five seasons as a cornerback with the Cowboys.
Deion and Pilar Sanders have been living in the same home in Prosper, months after Deion filed for divorce in December. Deion's attorney, Rick Robertson, has said both had separate living areas within the large home.
After the alleged attack Monday, Deion tweeted that his children "just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She's going to jail (and) I'm pressing charges!"
The Sanders' divorce file is under seal and a judge has placed both sides under a gag order.
Earlier Tuesday, before police announced the charge against Deion, Robertson said he didn't see the tweets as a violation of that order because the alleged attack was a separate issue.
"The assault action that occurred was a criminal action that also constitutes family violence," he said. "Pilar Sanders was arrested for that and jailed."
A magistrate judge ordered her Tuesday to stay away from their home for 60 days. The judge also barred her from threatening or harassing her husband, KTVT-TV reported.
Her divorce attorney, Larry Friedman, said he couldn't comment about her arrest due to the gag order.
"I can tell you that there are two sides to every story and the truth will come out in court," he said in a statement.
Robertson said Deion regretted the conflict in his family and "having it aired publicly" for his children to see. He would not say why the football star tweeted about the alleged incident.
Pilar Sanders is a model who has appeared on several television shows, including a 2008 Oxygen network reality series about their family's home life, "Deion & Pilar: Prime Time Love." The couple married in 1999.
Deion Sanders, who played for five NFL teams and is now an NFL Network analyst, has three children with Pilar and two from a former marriage.
Separately, Pilar Sanders is suing Deion Sanders; his daughter from his first marriage, Deiondra Sanders; and Prime Time Enterprise Inc., for $200 million in damages. That case is scheduled to go to trial in September.
She is also suing Deion Sanders' aunt, Laura Jones, alleging Jones assaulted her in February, according to the Dallas Morning News.
“They cross the spectrum from musicians and celebrities to athletes and causal fans of hip hop,” says Paul Ricci, MTV2′s programming chief. “The show will refresh an iconic format and create a fun, dynamic series that’s unpredictable, heavy on personality and much more ‘party’ than ‘game show’.”
The show will have a 10-episode run on MTV2 beginning on May 22 at 11 p.m. A second 10-episode block will air at a later date.

Back in December of last year, Wacka Flacka went on DJ Kay Slay’s radio show and said that he thought that Wiz Khalifa “hyped” his way to the top and had no swag. Well, Flacka was recently interviewed on the Angie Martinez Show on HOT 97 in New York, and while he did say the beef with Wiz was “dead,” it seems like his view on Wiz being swagger-less hasn’t changed. Check out a clip of Wacka’s interview below:
“That’s dead, I ain’t bothering nobody. I voiced my opinion because it’s true,” said Wacka Flacka.

Sanders, an NFL Hall of Famer, works for the NFL Network.
NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders claims he was assaulted by his estranged wife, even posting a Twitter picture of himself filling out a police report.
The NFL Network analyst told TMZ.com that he was home in Dallas on Monday when Pilar Sanders and someone else began “kicking, biting, and scratching” him in front of his sons.
Pilar Sanders was later arrested on domestic violence-related charges, CNN reported.
In addition to calling the authorities, Sanders took to Twitter to describe the ugly situation.
“Pray for me and my kids now! They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She’s going to jail n I'm pressing charges!,” Sanders tweeted.
Deion tweeted again two minutes later: “I'm sad my boys witnessed this mess, but I warned the police department here that she was gone try n harm me and my boys. This is on my mama!”
A police car and a fire truck were seen in front of Sanders’ house in suburban Dallas on Monday, TMZ.com reported.
The Twitter-loving former two-sport star tweeted that he was “filling out police reports now! Thank God for this platform to issue the Truth.” He posted an accompanying photo.
According to CNN, Pilar Sanders was booked on suspicion of assault family violence and bond was set at $264.
"My kids, they are scared for their life," Deion Sanders told Dallas TV station KXAS on Monday night. "They just saw two women jump their dad in his own house, in his room, in my room. It's sad."
Sanders filed for divorce from Pilar Sanders, who is his second wife, in December, and their relationship has continued to deteriorate. The couple, who even starred in a reality show together, have been married since 1999.
Pilar Sanders filed a $200 million defamation suit in March after Deion Sanders’ daughter from his previous marriage tweeted that Pilar was a “gold-digging (expletive),” according to reports.
Curren$y ran into trouble with the law yesterday evening (April 23) in Dallas, Texas.
The rapper was in town to perform at the House of Blues, as part of the “Stoned Immaculate” tour with Smoke DZA, Young Roddy, Fiend, Styles P. and others.
But Curren$y almost missed his headlining slot in Dallas, after he and an associate were detained by police, apparently for smoking marijuana.
“Locked the CEO up, and I’m da CEO f**k,” Curren$y tweeted. “Ni**az was jus chiefin and bumpin dat new fiend s**t….Then some strangers came thru wit these bracelets that made my arms hurt…”
After watching the opening acts, fans were relieved to see that Curren$y made the show, when he hit the performed around 12:35 PM central time.
Curren$y walked out on stage at House of Blues, smoking what appeared to be a joint, before addressing the crowd.
“Thanks for all those #freeSpitta tweets – shit fuck it let’s go…Y’all know all the lyrics. I see the Jet hats and the gear, and I don’t smell no cheap s**t either!”
50 Cent is indifferent to a lawsuit over an uncleared mixtape sample.
50 Cent has been sued for using a sample on a mixtape track released three years ago.
According to TMZ, The Persuaders' Robert Poindexter has filed suit in New York over the uncleared use of the group's track "Love Gonna Pack Up and Walk Away" on Fif's "Redrum," included on his War Angel LP.
Poindexter states that the G-Unit general feels as though the release of the track for free gives him immunity from copyright claims. "Fifty Cents [sic] has not denied the infringement, but appears to be basing his defense solely on a frivolous and immaterial claim that the illegal version is not being commercially exploited, but is given away for free," he wrote in the suit.
Poindexter is suing for unspecified statutory damages and $600,000 in punitive damages, plus interest.
Drake explains that he would rather work with someone like Jamie xx over David Guetta.
Many artists including Nicki Minaj and Usher have collaborated with electronic dance music musicians to expand their reach worldwide, but Drake says he won’t follow the trend.
During an interview with NME (via MixMag), the Young Money rapper said that he has no interest in making “David Guetta stuff" because it isn’t true to his artistry.
“For me, the David Guetta stuff just doesn't work. I don't really wanna go there,” he said. “There's other artists, that's their sound. They feel in order to thrive internationally that they gotta do straightforward, four to the floor, David Guetta, Pitbull music."
He says that he’d rather collaborate with someone like Jamie xx, who worked on the title track for Take Care. “For me, I'd rather go to somebody like Jamie xx and tell him, 'Look, I really wanna turn the club upside down, but I wanna do it with integrity, with soul."
VH1 is looking to settle the G.O.A.T. debate with a new bracket comprised of eight of the most revered emcees.
The debate over the title of best emcee is one that has plagued fans and critics over the past three decades. Now, it looks like VH1 has entered the ring on the debate over the best rapper from the late '80s to the early '90s.
Dubbed the "Greatest MC of the 'Yo! MTV Raps' Era," VH1's new bracket challenges fans to pit some of the game's most revered emcees against one another. Facing off against each other in the bracket are the likes of Chuck D and KRS-One, Ice Cube and Will Smith, LL Cool J and Rakim, and Queen Latifah and MC Lyte.
Voting for Round One began earlier today at 11 AM and will conclude this Wednesday April 25 at 4PM, with the remaining rounds to follow later this week.
Cam’Ron took to Twitter over the weekend to take a few shots at Kanye West and his new boo, Kim Kardashian. Kim K. instagrammed a photo of her and Yeezy wearing matching Jordan Cement 3′s in NYC, and Cam re-tweeted the photo and called Kim a h*e, among other insults. Check out the photo and tweets below:
At this point, everyone knows that Kanye is dating Kim Kardashian, so is Cam’ron trying to start a lyrical beef with Yeezy by calling out his girl? What do you think?
Nicki Minaj seems like she is really feeling herself a little too much these days. She recently stopped by the Tim Westwood show in London and hinted that she was ready to leave music. Referring to herself in third person the whole time as “the kid,” Nicki went in about what she feels she is not being appreciated. Check out what she said below:
“People aren’t even giving the kid props for taking it back to the essence… This is my fourth mixtape, really. The kid did like that so she could feed her fans. But really, now the kid is thinking maybe she should leave the game.”
Taking it back to “the essence.” What in the world is she talking about? I know she’s not talking about the essence of Hip-Hop….is she?
Just when you thought the beef between T.I., his artist Iggy Azalea and Harlem femcee Azealia Banks was simmering down, things have again started to heat up as this morning (April 23rd), T.I. scornfully addressed Banks on Tony Sculfield and the Morning Riot radio show in Chicago.
“The fact that she’s speaking up on me and mine, I didn’t even see it,” T.I. said on air in reference to Azealia Banks. “That’s some bitch s**t, I’ma man. You ain’t got no business addressing me, get your man to address me, if you got a man, get him to address me and he and I can speak on it.”
But the up-and-coming Banks didn’t take long to respond, issuing a series of Tweets directed at the Grand Hustle CEO, self proclaimed, “King of the South” and star of VH1′s hit show T.I. & Tiny: Family Hustle:
“@tip T.i …. Please shut the f**k up about this. Like seriously quit it.”
Banks then went on to address T.I.’s reputation in the streets, alleging that T.I. was a snitch.
“@tip funny how you have plenty of time to address me but have nothing to say to the dudes who been calling u at as a snitch forever,” Banks Tweeted. “@tip it’s dead… The streets already know what kind of dude you are. Stop making yourself look softer by dragging this out.”
“@tip ain’t you the same dude that got photographed butt naked n a pair of sneakers and a beanie???!?!”
“@tip what a fucking clown,” Banks Tweeted.
Rumblings of a beef between Iggy Azalea and Banks took form shortly after the cover of XXL’s Freshman cover was revealed. Azealia Bank’s outspokenly took issue with T.I.’s newly signed artist Iggy Azalea gracing the cover with the highly coveted class of artists.
“Iggy Azalea on the XXL freshman list is all wrong” Banks stated a few months ago.
Banks also took issue Iggy’s lyrics in the song “Drugs,” where Iggy rhymes, “When the relay starts/I’m a runaway slave/Master.”
“How can you endorse a white woman who called herself a “runaway slave master, ” Banks said in late February.
Former Bad Boy rapper Ma$e has run afoul of the federal government, as the latest artist to owe a six-figure tax bill.
TMZ.com reports that Ma$e owes over $124,000 in back taxes.
According to the IRS, the rapper-turned-preacher owes taxes for the year 2000, 2001, and 2004.
The news of Ma$e’s tax troubles comes on the heels of the former star’s return to the arena of rap.
Ma$e, who topped the charts with singles like “Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems” and “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down,” is reportedly working on tracks for French Montana’s upcoming release Excuse My French, as well as Rick Ross’ pending album God Forgives I Don’t.
"Think Like a Man" wasn't the only film to over-perform on Friday night. Despite negative reviews, "The Lucky One" earned roughly $9 million on its first day of release, which could give it a final tally near $25 million for the weekend.
If those numbers hold, both films will top "The Hunger Games." The blockbuster is predicted to earn near $14 million after grossing just over $3 million on Friday night. The adaptation of Suzanne Collins' best-selling book has topped the box office for four straight weeks, the first film to do so since "Avatar."
When the NBA lockout was at its lowest point last year, with players and owners squabbling over a new collective bargaining agreement while the fans paid the steepest price of all, cracks in leadership threatened to weaken the already challenging position of the National Basketball Players Association.
The lockout was resolved, of course, but the issues remain at the NBPA. And they're getting worse by the day.
SI.com reported early Thursday evening that union president and Oklahoma City guard Derek Fisher was continuing his push for an internal review of the NBPA's business practices by the independent firm despite the executive committee deeming the review "unnecessary" earlier this week. But sources later revealed that Fisher has been asked to resign by the very same players who make up the committee and are clearly backing executive director Billy Hunter in this matter.
The executive committee consists of Washington guards Maurice Evans and Roger Mason, Boston Celtics guard Keyon Dooling, Miami swingman James Jones, San Antonio forward Matt Bonner, and Clippers point guard Chris Paul. The request for resignation was given on Wednesday, but sources say Fisher has no plans of obliging and he is in the process of gaining additional support for a closer look at the inner workings of the union.
Yahoo! Sports reported last week that Fisher pushed for the review, but Hunter had the movement halted on Tuesday. He sent a union memo obtained by SI.com that stated the executive committee "voted to rescind the resolution it made last week to conduct a review of the NBPA's practices and finances" because "the review was unnecessary since there had been a recent independent audit of the NBPA's finances which raised no issues."
A source on the executive committee told SI.com on Thursday that "[Fisher] wasn't authorized to make the call on our behalf without discussing it with us."
But according to a source with knowledge of the situation, Fisher's strong suspicions remain about the way in which the union's business has been run in recent years. The source said that support outside of the union is growing among players and agents. And while the executive committee has made its stance known, there are plenty of others among the league's 400-plus players who were highly critical of Hunter and the union during the lockout that ended in December and are believed to be behind this latest push.
The executive committee's unexpected backing of Hunter this week and their reluctance to conduct the business review has only led to more questions of Fisher and his supporters.
While Fisher has two more seasons left on his term as NBPA president, Hunter -- a former U.S. attorney and pro football player who joined the union in 1996 -- has a contract that runs through 2016. During All-Star weekend in Orlando in February, Hunter was asked about the many players and agents unhappy with his work and the idea that the monkey wasn't off his back just because the lockout was over.
"You'd have to ask the people who supposedly put it on there, whether or not it's still on there or not," Hunter told SI.com then. "I don't even think about that. I do my job. I'm under contract. That's it. I don't take it personally. People have a right to their opinions.
"I try to be pretty insular. I have friends, people that I confide in, people I trust. And that's what I do. I know a lot of this is motivated by other folks, so I don't let it bother me. I couldn't care less."
The quotables keeps coming with Suge Knight, as the former Death Row mogul threatened to put hands on Rick Ross.
While Suge Knight's wild speculations that Tupac may still be alive earned him a lot of publicity today, it looks like that wasn't the only memorable soundbite he dropped during his interview with 93.5 KDay. The former Death Row head honcho also threatened to put hands on Rick Ross over his song "Tupac Back."
Later in the interview with 93.5's Tattoo and Cee Cee, Suge Knight said that he will "beat the dog shit out of Rick Ross" if their paths ever cross. He explained that while he's not bitter to Rozay and actually enjoys his music, he feels it's extremely disrespectful that the MMG rapper would make a song titled "Tupac Back" when he maintains ties to Diddy, who Knight attributes to the murder of Tupac.
"I can't sit up here and say I'm bitter to Rick Ross, 'cus like anybody else, we don't know Rick Ross," Suge said. "That's a guy who uses somebody else's name. This guy comes from being a correctional officer. I don't got nothing negative [against him] personally, I just feel like he do do good music, and you can't take that from him. That boy got bars, he's gonna write…at the same time, I feel like there's a line you cross, and Rick Ross crossed that line. If you're gonna be with guy [Diddy] who killed Tupac, you can't go turn around and do a record [called] 'Tupac Back'…Rick Ross is a grown ass nigga. I'll beat the dog shit out of Rick Ross for manipulating these people out here."
Although the audio of the interview has yet to be officially published, 93.5 KDay is currently replaying the interview with Knight.
Well, well, well, it looks like Ma$e may be making another comeback to music after all. Earlier this week, we reported that Ma$e was in the studio with Omarion working on some new music. According to several sources, it was Rick Ross who brought the two together in an effort to sign Ma$e to his MMG label.
An insider within Maybach Music Group told The Source the following information:
“Yes, I think its safe to say Omarion is MMG.” As the Maybach Music empire continues to evolve, it may not end there. Seems as if there is another offer on the table, I don’t want to let no cats out the bag but we’ll see what’s good with Ma$e.”
When pressed about what the roster may look like in the upcoming months, “As far as newest members Omarion and shout out to Ma$e if he wants to get down with this movement then we’ll see what happens.”
With Kanye West using two Ma$e lines in his new smash “Way Too Cold” (“TheraFlu”), it’s pretty safe to say that Ma$e is a hot commodity right now. He IS your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper, after all. Well, at least he’s Kanye’s self-proclaimed favorite rapper.
According to Star Magazine, Jay-Z and Beyonce are eager to give Blue Ivy a sibling, and are already working on Baby #2. The couple allegedly wants their children to be close in age, and began working on creating another million dollar baby while on vacation last week in St. Barts. Check out a few excerpts from the magazine below:
“They see no reason to wait.”
“Beyonce has said giving birth and dropping the baby weight was far easier than she thought.”
“It took them a while to conceive Blue Ivy, so they don’t want to waste another second.”
“Beyonce and Jay-Z adore being parents, and they’re as hands-on as they possibly can be. Beyonce has found a passion other than music, and it’s being a mom.”
Well, they sure can afford to have another child, and Jay-Z isn’t getting any younger. Good luck to the Carters!
Drake has admitted in a recent interview that he has filmed several adult tapes with numerous women. But the YMCMB rapper isn’t trying to become a porn star in his spare time; he shoots the video for his personal viewing pleasure ,and is 100% sure that those tapes will never leak – because he owns every single one! Check out his comment below:
“If I’m drunk, I’mma go out the back door. I ain’t gonna walk out the front so you see me stumbling and dropping my keys. I’m not that guy, I’m not that dumb. I wanna be in this position as long as I possibly can. I mean, I will be honest, any tape I’ve ever made, I own it.”
Drake has dated several famous women, including Rihanna, Serena Williams, and a bunch of video models, including Maliah Michel and Dollcia Bryant. I wonder which one of those women were foolish enough to let him keep the tape?
Former head honcho of Death Row Records, Suge Knight, has fueled conspiracy theorists everywhere by publicly saying that he is “not convinced” that Tupac is dead and believes that he may be in hiding.
In an interview today with 93.5 KDay in L.A., Knight says that he believes that Tupac faked his own death. He goes on to explain why cops never found Pac’s murderer – because there was no murder.
“Maybe the question is … Pac’s not really dead … Pac’s somewhere else,” Knight says.
When asked if he ever saw Tupac’s body following the 1996 shooting, he adds, “Nobody seen Tupac dead. “
Knight explains, “The person who supposedly cremated Tupac … this guy got about 3 million dollars .. personally from me … cash … and next thing I know I never heard from the guy or seen him again … he retired and left.”
Earlier this month, the Jackson brothers announced that they were going on tour for the first time in almost 30 years, and now, with the popularity of the Tupac Hologram, a Michael Jackson hologram just may be joining his brothers on tour. Jackie Jackson told E! News that it may already be in the works. Check out what he said below:
“It could have Michael—absolutely. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? As a matter of fact, we had that idea two years ago for Michael’s Cirque du Soleil show.”
A tour with a Michael Jackson hologram will be bigger than anything we’ve ever seen. I’m sure if this goes down, this tour is going to break tons of records.
Earlier this week, Nicki Minaj had a meltdown on Twitter and deleted her page, abandoning her 11 million followers. While in London promoting her new album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, the first lady of YMCMB has said in an interview that she left Twitter because a voice in her head told her to. Check out her full comment below:
”A voice in my head told me to delete my twitter and that’s what I did. I had 11 million followers and I hope they will wait for me. I miss my Barbz, please wait for me.”
Is Nicki losing it or what? She has 30 days to reactivate her Twitter account and still retain her followers.
Looks like it never ends for Kanye West these days. As he gets more and more into this Kim Kardashian thing, he’s got to realize that everything comes out in the wash. And that’s not just Kim’s undies. Amber Rose has already stated that Ye was physically abusive to her and now his ex-fiancee Alexis Phifer is apparently spilling the beans too. Well, her friend is spilling the beans. They were engaged for 18-months and then something happened. According to a source with the magazine, Alexis found naked pics of Kim Kardashian on his phone, before he met the slore. And, she confronted him about it. After some arguing, they got into it.
“He said he couldn’t control who sent him the photos. But then he started getting dramatic – huffing and puffing and making a bid deal. They went outside and Kanye pushed Alexis into some bushes with all his force. She was wearing a t-shirt and she got cuts and scratches everywhere and was bleeding. She was crying.”
Check this though: Alexis was friends with Kim before Kanye even knew her! Anyway, they say Kanye left Alexis right there in the bushes, hopped in his car and left – allegedly! Well, he’s hitting Kim a lot from the back.
UPDATE: Lil Wayne plans to put out his first line of kicks.
Lil Wayne has revealed that he plans to release his first signature shoe line.
Speaking with VIBE.com, Weezy remained relatively mum on the details, but said that the shoes will not be released on his Trukfit fashion shingle. Instead, he plans to partner with a major brand, though he wouldn’t reveal which one.
“I do have a shoe coming out soon but it won’t be Trukfit,” he said. “I have [a] shoe with a well-known company. I just don’t want to say yet because I haven’t dotted the line yet. But it’s done.”
He responded to speculation that the line could be coming out on Supra, but would not confirm. “Nah, it’s not a Nike or Reebok, I can tell you that much,” said Wayne, addressing a possible Supra collaboration. “Uh-oh. Watch out.”
G. Dep talks to MTV about being convicted of murder and says that it was God's will.
Two days ago, former Bad Boy rapper G. Dep was officially convicted of murder for the shooting of 32-year-old John Henkel in 1993. Earlier today, the Harlem rapper spoke to MTV about the conviction and the mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison that he faces.
G. Dep took the murder conviction in stride, saying that it was God's will that he take accountability for his crimes. Although he has yet to be sentenced and could face a lifetime sentence for the murder, Dep added that life goes on and that he will make the best of the situation to reform his ways.
"However it went down, it was just one of them things where I knew I was facing some type of charge, so whatever the verdict was, I knew it was God's will," he said. "Someone was taken from [the Henkel] family, so I can't feel like I was robbed in any kind of way," he said. "I just want to thank everyone that was involved in the case. I don't have no ill thoughts towards anybody."
He added, "I'ma just stay strong and hopefully I'll see y'all in the near future or the far future. I know life goes on, praise God. And one day maybe I could say hello to y'all again."
DMX has worn his heart on his sleeve during this season of VH1′s “Couples Therapy”. Last night’s episode was no different, with X revealing that his mother never once told him that she loved him.
“She had not once ever told me that she loved me. You know what I think a lot of people lose sight of the fact that no matter how strong you are as a man no matter how tough you are we all need to be somebody’s baby.
He also speaks on being abused by his mother and longing to call her “mommy.” DMX breaks down crying in a very sad scene that really shows that he is still hurting by the rejection from his mother as a child.
“I used to always turn to drugs when I was feeling a certain way and now that I’m not doing that,” DMX said. Sometimes when the pressure builds up I call ‘bino’ and be like, “I just wanted to say, “Mommy.” I wanted to say that word; ‘Mommy’!, not my mother. I wanted to say mommy. I just wanted to say ‘Hi’ to her to her because I haven’t talked to her in years. I just wanted to say, “Hi Mommy, I love you.”
Atlanta rapper and rumored “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Lil’ Scrappy claims to have almost kicked the bucket on Tuesday due to a massive asthma attack. Check out what he said about the incident below:

Scrappy was hospitalized at Emory University Hospital on Tuesday morning after a hard night of drinking and partying. The rapper says that when he woke up, he could barely breathe and couldn’t talk.
He was treated and released, and says that he now owns a “breathing machine,” and that he “will never leave anywhere without it again.”

French Montana says that Ma$e may appear on both his and Rick Ross's upcoming LPs.
It looks like Hip Hop fans may be welcoming back Ma$e for a third time in his career. In a recent article from XXL, Bad Boy signee French Montana revealed that Betha may join him and Rick Ross on their upcoming respective albums.
Last night, a picture featuring Ma$e, Rick Ross, French Montana, Omarion and Rico Love surfaced on the Internet (see above). Now, French explained the context for the pic, saying that Ma$e joined him and Ross in the studio in Miami to record together. He said that the trio ended up recording two tracks together, and that they may end on on either French's Excuse My French or Ross's God Forgives, I Don’t.
“We were in a Miami studio last night and Ma$e just stopped by,” Montana said. “We were just workin’ on my album. We recorded two songs together—me, Ross and Ma$e. You might hear [Ma$e] on either my album [Excuse My French] or Ross’ [God Forgives, I Don’t] or both...Ma$e sounds good, sound like he never left. His flow is crazy. We’re going to let the world hear soon enough. Stay tuned. Just stay tuned.”
Ma$e and French had previously worked together on the remix to his track "New York Minute."
Kanye West doesn’t usually do press or respond to rumors, but one rumor in particular was so off base that Kanye reached out to celebrity rag, US Weekly, to set the record straight. The ‘net was buzzing about Kanye and Kim Kardashian’s blossoming relationship, and rumors were spreading that Kanye West thought of Kim Kardashian as his Beyonce.
Well, Yeezy reached out to US Weekly set the record straight. Check out what he said below:
“…of course there are a lot of media inaccuracies surrounding this past couple of weeks, especially the ‘She’s my Beyonce’ quote. I would never compare anyone to my friend’s wife.
“Come on now, that doesn’t even sound like me. If I don’t say something in a rap or on Twitter, it’s not true.”
Glad to see that Kanye isn’t delusional about the situation!
Dick Clark died earlier today. The famed TV producer was 82.
Paul Shefrin, a rep for the entertainment legend, told ABC News his client suffered a "massive heart attack." According to TMZ, Clark was at St. John’s hospital in Los Angeles for an outpatient procedure when the heart attack occurred. Attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
"American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest, who worked with Clark on his annual "New Year's Rockin' Eve" specials, took time out of tonight's "Idol" broadcast to memorialize his mentor. "We can't begin tonight's show without acknowledging the passing of a television pioneer and my dear friend Dick Clark," Seacrest said. "Without Dick, a show like this would not exist. He will be missed greatly." He then pointed to his watch and added, "I know that he's in a better place, saying, 'Hey let's get on with the show.' You got it, boss!"
Earlier in the day, following the news of Clark's death, Seacrest offered condolences via Twitter. "I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark. He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with his family."
The Mount Vernon, N.Y., native, who was born Richard Wagstaff Clark, became a breakout star after being tapped to host “American Bandstand,” an afternoon dance show for teenagers, which debuted nationally in 1957. Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin and the Jackson 5 were just some of the big acts featured on the hit show, though he reportedly regretted not booking The Beatles. Clark, went on to form his own production company and put out many popular shows, from the hidden camera series "TV's Bloopers and Practical Jokes" to game show "The $25,000 Pyramid." He also produced many TV award shows, including the Golden Globes.
In 1972, he hosted "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" for the first time, helping Americans countdown to midnight as the ball dropped in New York's Times Square. He continued to helm the special until 2004 when he suffered a stroke that left him partially paralyzed and unable to speak. After Regis Philbin stood in for him the first year, Clark, who was also diabetic, passed the baton to "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest and, after recovering, made an annual appearance to address the audience.
Clark's first time back in 2006, he had the same boyish spirit people had grown to know. Although he clearly struggled with his speech, sounding hoarse and sometimes indecipherable, he candidly addressed the audience, saying: "Last year I had a stroke. It left me in bad shape. I had to teach myself how to walk and talk again. It's been a long, hard fight. My speech is not perfect but I'm getting there," noting "I wouldn't have missed this for the world."
Following Seacrest's lead, other celebrities expressed their sadness over the passing of Clark as well. Jenny McCarthy, who appeared on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve," tweeted: “RIP dick Clark. You were amazing to work with. U will be missed. Xxxoo.” Joan Rivers chimed in, writing: “Very sad to hear about Dick Clark. What a great life. What a great career. Relevant until the end. He will be missed!” Even Snoop Dogg remembered the TV man, posting: “REST IN PEACE to the DICK CLARK!! U were pioneer n a good man!! Thank u sir.”
Clark is survived by his three children and his third wife, Keri Wigton, to whom he has been married since 1977.

Diddy ranks at the top with a net worth of $550 million, thanks to his investment in Ciroc vodka, his Sean John and Enyce clothing lines, his record label Bad Boy and several startups. Additionally, his cable channel Revolt could make him a billionaire in 2013.
Jay-Z comes in second with $460 million due to the selling of his stake in Rocawear clothing for $204 million in 2007. His business ventures flesh out his net worth, with stakes in the New Jersey Nets, the 40/40 Club chain, his ad firm Translation and more.
Dr. Dre comes in third with $270 million because of his investment in Beats Electronics, while Birdman places at No. 4 with a sum of $125 million to his name. 50 Cent rounds out the list with $110 million in the bank.
It looks like former Bad Boy rapper Ma$e has gotten back into the studio and is gearing up to release some new music! The last we heard from the rapper was back in 2004 when he released his comeback album, Welcome Back. His single, “Breath, Stretch, Shake”, was well received but Diddy put a damper on his comeback when he would not allow him to sign with G-Unit.
Yesterday, singer Omarion, who is allegedly signed to Maybach Music Group, posted the image to his Instagram account with the caption, “Ma$e &….. he’ll yeaaaa you already know.” Glad to see Ma$e back in the studio!
G. Dep, former Bad Boy Records rapper, has been found guilty of second degree murder, for a shooting that occurred in 1993.
The rapper confessed to a shooting two years ago, to which police connected him to a murder.
G.Dep, real name Trevell Coleman, proclaimed his innocence in the murder case.
He faces no less than 15 years in prison in the sentencing phase, which is slated for May 8.
The jury came back with a verdict after three days of arguments and another two days of deliberations.
Dep confessed to the shooting in December of 2010, which was a botched robbery that resulted in the shooting death of a man named John Henkel.
Dep said at the time that he was wrought with guilt and stricken with drug addiction when he confessed.
“Trevell is a very courageous person, very different of people from this era: he has a conscience and a heart,” G. Dep’s lawyer Anthony Riccio said outside of the court room. “It’s probably one of the most powerful statements that a rapper has ever made, and that’s to be accountable. I told him not to regret his decision, and that God won’t abandon him.”
After being a free man since 2010, Cash Money rapper and Louisana native Mystikal will be returning to jail for three months on May 14 due to a violation of his probation.
Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, was released in 2010 after serving a six-year prison term for sexual battery and extortion.
As reported by The Advocate, “State District Judge Tony Marabella added the extra time as a condition of the 41-year-old Tyler’s five-year probation in the extortion case because he was arrested in February on a misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse battery in Ascension Parish. Prosecutor Sue Bernie said Tyler stipulated to being in violation of his probation, which called for him to remain arrest- and conviction-free.
“Tyler’s attorney, Roy Maughan Jr., said Marabella ordered Tyler to spend another 90 days in jail but is giving him credit for the nine days he was detained after his Feb. 22 arrest.
“Tyler pleaded guilty in 2003 to forcing his hairstylist to perform what a judge called “continuous sex acts.’’ The victim in that case accused Tyler and two bodyguards of making her perform oral sex after accusing her of stealing $80,000 worth of his checks. The woman denied stealing any money.”
Mystikal, who is currently still set to headline an upcoming concert at S.O.B.’s in New York City on May 1 and perform at this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, will be returning to jail on May 14 to begin serving his three-month sentence.
The Wall Street Journalreports that representatives for both Snoop and Dre will discuss logistics for a tour involving the partners-in-rhyme and Pac.
The proposed tour could involve other artists such as Eminem, 50 Cent, and Wiz Khalifa, or could just feature Dre and Snoop as headliners.
"This is just the beginning," said Ed Ulbrich, the chief creative officer for Digital Domain Media Group, Inc., the company responsible for bringing Pac to "life" onstage. "Dre has a massive vision for this."
Dr. Dre and his production team approached Digital Domain a year ago to see whether it was possible to create a hologram of Tupac like the one that performed on Sunday. The company began working on the Coachella performance four months ago.
"To create a completely synthetic human being is the most complicated thing that can be done," said Ulbrich.
CNN is reporting that the Tupac hologram showcased at this year’s Coachella Music Festival cost a whopping $10 Million to create! Check out the full report here … and can someone please tell Soledad O’Brien how to pronounce Tupac!

Flo Rida has been ordered to pay $80,000 to a concert promoter in Australia for blowing off a concert at the last minute. The promoter says that Flo Rida threw a “hissy fit” moments before he was set to hit the stage and refused to perform.
According to TMZ, the promoter forked over more than $50k up front to guarantee Flo would appear at the Fat as Butter Music Festival in Newscastle back in October 2011.
After the event, Flo went on Twitter and explained, “I was looking forward to performing for you, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I wasn’t able to do so last night.”
The promoter took his case to an Australian court – which ruled in his favor … and ordered Flo to shell out $80k in performance fees and damages.
Lil Boosie’s mother Connie is calling upon fans around the world to host local prayer vigils for her incarcerated song, who will begin trial for murder on April 30.
Lil Boosie, born Torrence Hatch, is slated to go on trial for the murder of an East Baton Rouge man named Troy Davis.
Boosie and another man are accused of planning and executing Davis’ murder in October of 2009.
His other defendant has been implicated in five other murders in the city. “Marlo” Mike Louding - who was 16 when he allegedly killed Boyd on Boosie’s orders – has been cooperating with authorities.
Michael “Ghost” Judson, the third man accused of participating in the murders, is deceased.
“Boosie thanks everyone for all of the letters that have been coming in,” Miss Connie said in a statement. “He reads every single one of them. He can not write back right now or talk to anyone outside his family because of his up-coming trial.”
Lil Boosie, who is currently incarcerated in Angola Prison in Louisiana, is facing an automatic sentence of life in prison, if he is convicted of Troy Davis’ murder.
The head of the company that created the hologram technology that produced the late Tupac Shakur at Coachella over the weekend recently explained the challenges behind bringing the rapper back to life.
AV Concepts is the company that created the Tupac hologram, which impressed concertgoers and viewers around the world on April 13, with its life-like interaction between Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre.
Over 100,000 fans witnessed the life-like performance of the late Tupac Shakur, which was coordinated between Dr. Dre’s production company and AV Concepts.
“This show was by far one of the most exciting yet challenging projects we have ever worked on,” said Nick Smith, President of AV Concepts. “A highly choreographed, live, outdoor holographic production of this magnitude with hundreds of thousands of people watching gave us the added incentive, and pressure, to deliver.”
AV Concepts is a 24-year-old award-winning technology solutions company that offers video, audio and staging services.
The success of the Tupac hologram comes on the heels of AV Concepts’ partnership with Chris Brown during this year’s Grammy Awards, which saw the tech company design the singer’s sets during his performance.
For the fans, it was likely epic, exciting, and spooky all rolled up in one. On Sunday night (April 15), at the Coachella music festival, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg made history by bringing out a performing hologram of the late rapper, Tupac Shakur.
After Dr. Dre’s performed his part of “California Love,” the lights went off and a moving image of Tupac appeared and greeted Dre, Snoop, and the Coachella crowd. Hologram Tupac then performed “Hail Mary” in what some called an eerie and chilling fashion, and then lightened the mood with a duet with Snoop Dogg for “2 of America’s Most Wanted,” in which the image danced around the stage. Once that song was finished, the image of Tupac disappeared.
Video of the hologram commanded instant hits online, as fans on social networks heavily discussed the topic while watching the Coachella live stream on YouTube. See the video below.
In an unexpected turn of events, Nicki Minaj has deleted her Twitter account that has over 11 million followers.
Making the move after a fan site leaked her music, Minaj took to Twitter to discuss her displeasure with the fan site in what are likely her last Tweets.
The move comes on the heels of a trying week for the Queens femcee, as she recently made public accusations that her father abused her in her younger years, a claim her father has since denied.
Kanye West changes the name of "Theraflu," which features DJ Khaled and DJ Pharris.
Shortly after Funkmaster Flex debuted the single last night on Hot 97, Kanye West has revealed the cover art for his single "Theraflu" featuring DJ Khaled and DJ Pharris.
The painting shows a bare-chested woman whose missing head is replaced with a bottle of Theraflu. It appears to be painted in the same style as that of George Condo, who did the cover artwork for West's 2010 LP My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
In addition to releasing "Theraflu," West is teaming with 2 Chainz, Big Sean and Pusha T for "Mercy," believed to be the first single off of the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation. The track is set to premiere tomorrow.

In several interviews dating back to her early days, Nicki Minaj has always insisted that she had a tough upbringing having to deal with a drug-addicted father who was abusive. During Nicki’s recent promo run for Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, she stopped by Nightline and during that interview, she revealed that she wanted to “kill” her father when she was a child.
Nicki said, “I wanted to kill [my dad]. I used to wish he was dead … ‘We were afraid for my mother’s life because whenever he would have a real bad outburst he would threaten to kill her.”
Nicki also told a story about her father almost burning down their house.
Well, according to TMZ, Nicki’s father Omar is very upset by the accusations and says that she is grossly exaggerating. Omar admits he had anger issues when she was a child … but insists it NEVER reached the point Nicki described in her interview. Omar never knew Nicki felt this way about him — and he’s absolutely crushed she decided to air her grievances in the media.
Sounds to me like Nicki’s dad still can’t admit to some of the things he did while he was on drugs and alcohol.
Most of the Secret Service agents embroiled in a prostitution scandal brought women back to their Colombia hotel rooms before President Obama arrived in town for an international summit, Rep. Pete King said Saturday.
King said the raunchy rendezvous involved 11 agents and went sour when an agent refused to pay one of the women, who were presumed to be hookers.
“The agent said, ‘I don't owe you anything,’ but gave the woman some money,” said King (R-L.I.),the head of the House Homeland Security Committee, who was briefed on the matter. “I don't know how much, and it was settled right there.”
As it turned out, the agents’ troubles were just beginning. Local cops were called to the hotel in Cartagena and, because the matter involved foreigners, a report was written up and sent to the U.S. Embassy, King said.
Embassy officials in turn notified the Secret Service, which immediately launched an investigation.
At least one supervisor was among the agents involved, King said. He was not certain exactly how many women were involved.
The scandal — a black eye for the United States’ reputation abroad — was revealed Friday just hours before President Obama arrived in Cartagena.
The 11 agents were part of an advance team assigned to secure a local hotel before the summit began, yet their attention apparently turned to taking advantage of Colombia’s policy of legal prostitution.
Five American service members were also accused of misconduct stemming from the scandalous incident at the hotel, according to the U.S. military.
“They had arranged to have a bunch of prostitutes come by and one of the agents refused to pay a prostitute,” said author Ronald Kessler, one of the leading experts on the Secret Service. “Yes, doubly good judgment there.”
Kessler, who was briefed on the investigation by his sources within the agency, told the Daily News Saturday that the spurned hooker told police about the lack of payment.
The 11 agents were immediately recalled to Washington.
“Their careers are over,” said Kessler.
“Number one, it is against basic ethics to go to a prostitute,” he continued. “Number two, it is incredibly embarrassing to the White House.”
“And number three,” he continued. “It could leave them open to blackmail and a possible assassination attempt.”
Obama still has “full confidence” in the Secret Service, according to White House spokesman Jay Carney, who declared late Saturday that the incident “has been more of a distraction for the press” than the President.
This is a sure sign that you can’t trust anyone these days! A NUN is facing charges in a massive baby trafficking ring that stole newborn babies from desolate mothers and then sold them into adoption.
Sisters of Charity nun, Sister Maria Gomez Valbuena, is believed to be a part of a nationwide baby-snatching ring dating back 40 years! A group of more than 1,000 families said she was part the ring which also involved hundreds of doctors, nurses, priests, nuns and midwives who schemed to convince poor or unwed mothers their babies had died at birth. This was all done for financial gain.
The babies were then sold to families looking to adopt, and the child’s birth papers were doctored, the group said.
Lawyers say Catholic priests and nuns acted as middlemen, paying hospitals workers for babies and then selling them to desperate families. Just shameful!
A representative for Rick Ross has issued a statement regarding the cancellation of the rapper’s highly anticipated tour of Australia.
The Miami rapper was supposed to perform at Australia’s Supafest on April 14 in Brisbane followed by a date on April 15 in Sydney.
Rick Ross also had dates scheduled for April 21 in Melbourne and April 22 in Perth, but he will not make any of them.
Many assumed that the cancellations were due to a medical condition, since Rick Ross has suffered from seizures in the past, that have forced to cancel shows and stopped him from traveling.
But a rep for the rapper says a contractual dispute and not Ross’ health, is the reason for Ross nixing the tour.
“[Rick] Ross was looking forward to touching the people of Australia, this event as it is the one of biggest urban festivals in Australia, he is very disappointed that he will not be performing,” a rep for Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com.
“It is unfortunate that the payment arrangements did not meet contractual deadlines,” the rep told AllHipHop.com.
The cancellation of Rick Ross’s performance is one several issues organizers for Supafest have encountered this year.
A representative for Missy Elliott issued a statement earlier in the week, claiming that she was being falsely advertised as a performer for the festival.
Sean “Diddy” Combs was also supposed to perform during the festival, but he had contractual issues with promoters as well.
“The promoters never sent the money for the show i love you guys! I’m MAD as F**k I’m very upset that the promoters that contracted me to come never fufilled [sic] the damn contract!…My 1st ever Australian tour is going to be cancelled because the promoters did not fufill [sic] the contract! CRAZY!!!”
A number of other acts are still participating in the tour, which is being presented by Paperchase Touring and Entertainment.
T-Pain and Ludacris are still on board for stops in Brisbane and Sydney, while Chris Brown, Kelly Rowland, Lupe Fiasco, Ice Cube, Trey Songz, Naughty By Nature and Big Sean will hit the stage for the entire tour, which runs from April 14-22.
A twisted Sean “Diddy” Combs fan sneaked into the rap mogul’s East Hampton home and partied like a rock star, gorging on fancy food and high-end liquor while parading through the palace in the hip-hop magnate’s finest clothes, cops said yesterday.
Quamine Taylor, 30, of Jamaica, Queens, gave “bad boy” a whole new meaning when he found an unlocked basement door and made himself at home for nearly 24 hours in the sprawling mansion.
Combs, whose hits include, “Coming Home” and “I’ll Be Missing You,” was away at the time.
Cops said Taylor was so enamored of the music impresario’s lifestyle that even the crime was a remix: Taylor already pulled the same stunt — at the same place — more than 10 years ago.

HIP-HOP THE FENCE: Cops say Quamine Taylor sneaked into P. Diddy’s home in East Hampton (above) — for the second time — and dressed, ate and drank like the hip-hop mogul.

“I’ve actually been going to the house from time to time since 2001,” Taylor told The Post yesterday at the Suffolk County Jail.
“I stay there a lot, but Sean gets funny sometimes about me staying there,” Taylor said.
In his first break-in, Taylor tried to pass himself off as Combs’ cousin when cops found him intoxicated after he took a dip in Combs’ pool.
This time, Taylor spun a story that he was a close personal friend and even convinced a security detail of the lie when he accidentally tripped an alarm in the mansion.
“He grew up listening to [Diddy’s] music,” Taylor’s worried mom said. “He has a long history of mental illness, and he has been off his meds for a while. We have been trying to get him some help.”
Taylor said he only went to the house for some much needed R&R.
“I really didn’t go to Diddy’s house because I’m a big fan of his. I just wanted to get out of the city for a while. I was actually hoping to stay like 15 to 17 days,” he said.
Taylor’s bizarre, one-man bash began modestly enough on March 31 at the Jamaica LIRR station, where he purchased a ticket to the East Hampton station, cops said.
Then Taylor directed a taxi driver to the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO’s sprawling Hedges Banks Drive digs.
Taylor managed to get around the home’s security gate and eventually located an unlocked basement door, where he was able to enter.
Taylor made himself at home as he canvassed the closets, but his 6-foot-5 frame couldn’t fit into Diddy’s shirts. He then raided the refrigerator and dented the Ciroc spokesman’s liquor supply.
The fantasy nearly folded when Taylor set off an alarm at 1 a.m. But the suave squatter managed to convince an arriving alarm-company representative and a police officer that he was a member of the Combs clan, and was allowed to remain in the home.
“They really didn’t bother me once I told them who I was,” Taylor said yesterday.
After a restful evening, Taylor’s dream finally came crashing down when a caretaker found him at 4 p.m. on April Fools’ Day and called the cops.
“I got a good night’s sleep, but it’s not anything too special,” Taylor said of the accommodations.
“It’s just like a three bedroom.”
Taylor, who is unemployed, was arraigned on trespassing and petit-larceny raps and was being held in lieu of $2,000 bail. A Diddy spokeswoman declined to comment
Nate Dogg will allegedly appear via hologram during Dr. Dre's set.
Dr. Dre is making sure he pays homage to Nate Dogg during his headlining set with Snoop Dogg at Coachella on Sunday.
According to TMZ, Dre will project a hologram of the late singer onto the stage alongside him, Snoop, Kurupt, Warren G and Daz Dillinger to make it seem like he's actually performing with the crew. Sources say that Nate will perform several songs during the set.
The hologram technology was previously used for Mariah Carey's European concerts last year. The hologram allowed her to perform in five different places at once.
Though unconfirmed, Eminem is also rumored to appear during Dr. Dre's set this weekend, according to a post that was removed from Warren G's website.
News sources have reported that George Zimmerman will in fact face charges in Trayvon Martin shooting.
Following the tragic death of 17-year-old Florida teen Trayvon Martin those in the Hip Hop community have paid very close attention to the case and the fate of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who killed the unarmed teenager.
Countless tributes for Martin have been released and have included songs from artists such as Mistah F.A.B., Mos Def, Plies, and GhostWridah. A number of tributes were released as an outlet to express condolences and ask for justice and according to the Washington Post justice may soon be served.
Although the specifics remain unclear the Washington Post reports that Zimmerman will in fact be charged in the shooting.
Unfortunately at this moment the whereabouts of Zimmerman are unknown. Hal Uhrig, Zimmerman’s former attorney, even informed reporters that he’s likely far from Sanford, Florida.
“You can stop looking in Florida. Look much further away than that,” said Uhrig, according to the Washington Post.
A news conference is expected to take place later today (April 11) at 6 p.m. EST.
[April 11]
UPDATE: George Zimmerman will be charged with second-degree murder in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, reports MSNBC. "We did not come to this decision lightly," said Angela Corey, the special prosecutor appointed by Florida Gov. Rick Scott to look at the case.
Zimmerman’s lawyer, Mark O’Mara, said that he would plead not guilty and would try to get him released from prison on bond. His hearing is currently taking place.
"I think he's troubled by the fact the state decided to charge him," O'Mara said. "I would think anyone charged with second-degree murder would be scared."
Say it ain’t so!!! Even though Havoc has denied sending out the disparaging tweets about Prodigy, it’s starting to look more and more like he may have indeed done it.
According to a source who works closely with Mobb Deep, tension has been building between Havoc and Prodigy for some time now. Prodigy was locked up from 2007 through 2011, serving a three-and-a-half-year gun charge sentence, and was determined to stay out of trouble when he came home; he stopped drinking and smoking and hit the gym.
“While he was up there, 50 Cent came to visit a couple times,” the source said. “And 50 had came to him and said, ‘Listen, man, when you come home, I wanna sign you as a solo artist. I’m gonna give you a $500,000 advance check, but I’m not fuckin’ with Havoc because Havoc has been dealin’ with alcohol issues for years. Since you’ve been in jail, he’s checked in to rehab a few times.” Mobb Deep had previously been signed to G-Unit from 2005 through 2009. With three months to go in his sentence, Havoc still hadn’t visited Prodigy, and though the G-Unit offer was enticing, P was willing to give Mobb Deep another chance if Hav visited him before he was released.
“A week before [Prodigy] comes home, Havoc finally shows up,” the source continued. “[He says], ‘Yo, listen, I’m sorry, man. I’ve been battlin’ alcohol again. I just came out of rehab. I really wanna work again. Let’s get money.’” Prodigy was open to getting back to work with his longtime comrade. He was released in March 2011, and the next month dropped his autobiography, My Infamous Life: The Autobiography of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy. P and Hav hit the studio a few times—even releasing the Black Cocaine EP in November—but the two rarely interacted. “The only time Prodigy would see him was before a show—at the airport or however they’re gonna get there,” the source said.
Citing one instance in particular, the source says Havoc spent $20,000 at a casino, but didn’t remember the next day because he had been drinking heavily. “When he went into the account, the money was gone,” the source recalled. “He forgot because he has these little blackout moments when he’s drunk—that he spent all the money gamblin’. He accused Prodigy’s manager [of] stealin’ the money out of his account. So he knocks on Prodigy’s door, he smacks Prodigy across the face, Prodigy wrestles him down, beats him up a little bit. After, he remembers that he was gamblin’, so he comes back to Prodigy and apologizes and all that. But at this point, Prodigy is already tellin’ me and my other friend, ‘Yo, this is the last Mobb Deep tour. When I get back to New York, I’m gonna disappear. I’m not fuckin’ with H no more.’”
Havoc referenced an altercation on Twitter earlier this week, writing, “I had to smack P, ask him.”
The Infamous Mobb hit SXSW in Austin for the first time last month, and though they performed multiple times, the tension was continuing to mount. “When he got back to New York, Prodigy kept his word,” the source said. “He stopped takin’ Havoc’s calls. He wanted to be out that whole situation.” The source also denied accusations that Havoc questioned Prodigy’s sexuality, and said it’s highly unlikely that the two will work together again. “To be honest with you, there’s 120 percent certainty that there will never be another Mobb Deep album again,” the source concluded. “How do you come back from that?”

Beanie Sigel appeared in a Philadelphia court today (April 12), where his sentencing date for failing to pay taxes was postponed.
Beanie will be sentenced to prison on July 12, so that he will have time to prepare financial documents, in an attempt to clear up a discrepancy in regards to how much owes to the IRS.
Beanie Sigel, born Dwight Grant, is accused of failing to report income to the federal government, from 2003-2005.
Sigel claims he owes over $350,000 to the IRS, on over $1 million worth of income he earned during the years in question.
But the government disputes that amount and says the rapper owes upwards of $750,000 in taxes.
At today’s hearing, the judge gave Beanie Sigel until April 26 to turn in financial documentation for the years in question.
The judge also ordered Beanie Sigel and his legal team to meet with IRS agents on Friday, June 15, to come to a final agreement on the amount the rapper will owe.
The judge also said that the prison sentence is a separate issue from the auditing of Beanie Sigel’s financial records.
The rapper, who was poised and upbeat at today’s hearing, faces up to a total of 36 months behind bars.
Based on federal guidelines, Beanie Sigel will spend time in prison.
The news comes just days before Beanie Sigel drops a brand new mixtape titled Broad Street Empire Vol. 1: Lost Files.
Beanie will be sentenced Thursday, July 12 at 10:00am.
President Barack Obama recently shared his opinion on his taste in Hip-Hop music and had some unflattering words for Kanye West.
President Obama was attending a fundraiser at Daniel, an upscale gourmet restaurant on Park Ave. in Manhattan, when a reporter for The Atlantic quizzed him on his Hip-Hop tastes.
According to President Obama, he prefers Jay-Z over Kanye West, “although I like Kanye,” Obama told The Atlantic. “He’s a Chicago guy. Smart. He’s very talented.”
But President Obama refused to backdown from comments he made about Kanye in 2009, while his microphone was live during an interview, without his knowledge.
In the new interview, The Commander-In-Chief has once again branded the Kanye West a jackass.
“He is a jackass,” Obama said in a new interview. “But he’s talented.”
President Obama also labeled the Grammy Award-winning producer/rapper a jackass in 2009, after he infamously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
2 Chainz clarifies whether he's found a home on Kanye West's label.
After Kanye West appeared with 2 Chainz on BET's 106 & Park and 2 Chainz appeared on the "G.O.O.D. Fridays" track "Mercy," fans naturally began to wonder whether 2 Chainz followed Q-Tip to Kanye's "G.O.O.D. Music" label.
In an interview with Angie Martinez on Hot 97, the rapper discussed the rumors.
"What happened was, I had 106 & Park this week to bring up my video, 'Riot,'" explained the artist formerly known as Tity Boi.
"I've been communicating with 'Ye for a year now as far as building a relationship, and he came up to BET, and, you know...the guys from BET started coming back there. It soon became all about him," he added.
Martinez asked 2 Chainz directly whether he was signed to G.O.O.D. Music. "I just thing it's some things we workin' out," he replied coyly.
2 Chainz is currently prepping the release of his debut album Based on a T.R.U. Story, due August 14th.
The slain bodyguard's family is suing Twista and his management companies.
Twista has been sued for the death of a bodyguard in a tour bus crash in 2004.
According to The Chicago Tribune (via FSD), the family of Arthur "Butch" Dixon has filed suit against the Chicago, Illinois rapper. Dixon died of multiple blunt force trauma during a rollover crash in Pennsylvania. The crash occurred when Twista's cousin, Otis Bankhead, fell asleep at the wheel on the way back to Chicago from New York.
The lawsuit targets Twista and his record labels and promoters for not barring Bankhead from driving. Bankhead allegedly had a history of driving violations and his license had been suspended at the time of the crash.
Dixon's family had filed a similar lawsuit two years after the crash, but their lawyers dropped the case last year.
UPDATE: Nicki Minaj takes the #1 spot by 100,000 units as a De La Soul-branded project returns to the charts for the first time in over eight years. Obie Trice also debuts with "Bottoms Up."
Arguably, a Hip Hop/Rap album returned to #1 this week with Young Money alum Nicki Minaj's sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Nicki's second release in a year-and-a-half is definitely a much less Rap-driven album than her 2010 Pink Friday debut. However, Nicki out-sold reigning charts queen Adele just shy of 100,000 units this week, eclipsing the 250,000 mark. Two-thirds of De La Soul also cracked the charts, with a concept project and the legendary Native Tongues' and in conjunction with Duck Down Music. Former Shady Records artist Obie Trice also debuted with his Eminem-supported independent release, Bottoms Up.
Nicki Minaj's Roman Reloaded Debuts At #1
Nicki Minaj's first #1 happened this past week, with her second solo album. Following the platinum success of Pink Friday, "Barbie" returned with a Pop-inspired sophomore album that features the likes of Nas, Cam'ron and Rick Ross. Returning cast from the first LP included Drake and Lil Wayne, with producers JR Rotem, Kane Beatz and T-Minus. Like her debut, the 2012 album has been met with mixed reviews.
De La Soul Returns, Sorta
After Over 23 years making albums as a trio, De La Soul's Plug 1 & Plug 2 Present... First Serve released last week, by the group's emcees Posdnuos (as Jacob "Pop Life" Barrow) and Dave (as Deen Whitter). Producer/deejay Maseo was not involved as French producers Chokolate and Khalid stepped in. Legendary New York independent label Duck Down is involved in the project, a first for the brand since 2009's Nike-sponsored Are You In? release with Flosstradamus. Although reports are coming that the trio is working with Prince Paul on the next group album, De La has not released a fully-distributed studio album since 2004's The Grind Date.

Jay-Z's fashion imprint partners with the baseball team.
Jay-Z’s Rocawear has announced a partnership with the New York Yankees.
According to a press release, Rocawear will have branded signage in Yankee stadium, in addition to integrated promotion through the 2012 season.
“Jay-Z has been a long-time fan of the Yankees, regularly attends games and has even included his favorite team in song lyrics, so this was a natural partnership,” said Jameel Spencer, EVP Marketing, men’s division, Iconix Brand Group, Inc. “Rocawear, along with Jay-Z are very excited to be working with the Yankees for the 2012 season. We feel another championship in ‘12!”
The Washington Postis reporting that Florida prosecutor Angela Corey will “announce as early as Wednesday afternoon that she is charging neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation.
“Benjamin Crump, who is representing the Martin family, said this week that Corey’s office had asked where Trayvon’s parents would be each day this week. They arrived Wednesday in Washington for a civil rights conference organized by the Rev. Al Sharpton, where they are scheduled to speak.
“The announcement of a charge against Zimmerman would come a day after Zimmerman’s attorneys withdrew from the case, citing their inability to contact Zimmerman. Lawyers Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig on Tuesday expressed concern about Zimmerman’s emotional and physical well-being, saying he has taken actions without consulting them. They also said they do not know where Zimmerman is.
“Corey said Monday that she would not bring the case before a grand jury, which was expected to convene this week. She said her decision to forgo the grand jury should not be viewed as a factor in determining whether charges will be filed. In recent weeks Corey indicated that she might not need a grand jury to bring charges against Zimmerman. The lawyers said they stand by their assertions that Zimmerman acted in self-defense when he killed the 17-year-old, who was unarmed, but they acknowledged that they formed their impressions without meeting Zimmerman.”
It is not entirely clear what charge(s) Zimmerman will face when Corey makes her announcement.
Seventeen-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed in Sanford, Florida, on February 26 by Goerge Zimmerman, who said he was acting in self-defense. Zimmerman was not charged, citing the state’s “stand your ground” law.
The case has sparked global protests and countless tribute songs and events by Trayvon Martin supporters who believe he was killed because of his race and Hip-Hop inspired “hoodie” attire.
Legendary rapper Q-Tip has inked a deal with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint and will release his fourth solo album titled The Last Zulu.
Kanye and Q-Tip already have a working relationship, as Q-Tip produced tracks on West’s last album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Watch the Throne with Jay-Z.
The deal also reunites Q-Tip with former Jive CEO Barry Weiss, who oversaw the label’s release of classic Tribe Called Quest albums like People’s Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, The Low End Theory, Midnight Marauders and others.
In March of 2011, Barry Weiss took over as head of Island/Def Jam, which distributes Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint.
“I’m excited to be a part of the great iconic Def Jam label,” Q-Tip said in a statement. “I’m humbled to be a part of such a storied history. To reconnect with Barry Weiss is a great thing. As far as G.O.O.D. Music, I’m excited to solidify my working relationship with Kanye, and I look forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead in our partnership. I will do my best to present the most cutting edge music I can.”
According to Q-Tip, he is currently in the recording studio working on material for The Last Zulu, which has no release date as of press time.
“I am thrilled to be working with Q-Tip once again,” said Barry Weiss. “He is a respected voice in the music community as shown by his acclaimed solo albums and countless contributions to the work of other artists. His creativity continues to surpass all boundaries of hip-hop, R&B, pop, and jazz. We welcome Q-Tip to the G.O.O.D. Music / Island Def Jam family.”
Havoc says that an audio recording was not of his voice.
Shortly after Power 105's The Breakfast Club released an audio clip of Havoc allegedly dissing Prodigy, the Mobb Deep member has denied that it was his voice.
Calling in to the show, he said that the situation was amusing and that the recording wasn't of him. "This got me rolling on the floor right now. No, I lost my phone yesterday at the Knicks game. I put a statement out, because I didn't hear about none of this until the afternoon. I was trying to get my phone back and went to the Apple store.
"I have a password app folder with all my passwords in it for all of my social networks," he continued, stating that he didn't have a lock on his phone. "Nah, because I have no reason to lock my phone. I never lost my phone before. H.N.I.C. 3 is about to come out, make sure y'all cop that album. I guess this is great promotion, man, this is crazy."
According to Hits Daily Double, the Young Money rapstress moved 251,551 copies of her second release in its first week at retail. The Harajuku Barbie's latest was initially projected to sell 200-250,00 copies, making its first week sales slightly above expectations.
Minaj recently spoke on how she returned to her rap roots for PF:RR. "[The evolution of my career has] just been peeling back the layers and now, it's like the ultimate layer was me saying, 'Now I'm going to do whatever kind of music that I want to do'…[it's] not always going to entail a hard Hip Hop beat, but sometimes it is," she said.
Now that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are officially out as a couple, the next logical step for the two would be to flaunt their love on reality TV. Rumor has it that Kanye West will be making several appearances on Kim’s show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians”. If you all remember, Kanye made an appearance on “Kourtney & Kim Take New York” two seasons ago, when the two were just “friends.”
A source revealed to Radar Online that “Kanye is head over heels in love with Kim, and he has told her he would love to appear on the reality show if she wants him to.”
“Kim is a bit leery of having her man appear on camera because of the whole fiasco with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kris Humphries, but watch for Kanye to make several appearances on the show towards the end of the season. Viewers won’t see him featured in the first part of the season, and it won’t be all about Kanye.”
But is their romance real, or is it a showmance? Over the weekend, sources told Hollywood Life that Kanye and Kim actually orchestrated the first shots of the two on their date and have since chronicled their every move.
How soon before the two lovebirds get their own spin-off show and then a wedding special!? (I’m being sarcastic people!) I’m sure Kim Kardashian is getting excited just thinking about all of the new money-making opportunities.
There are so many twists and turns in this Mobb Deep saga that it’s hard to keep up with. After Havoc denied sending out the disparaging tweets about Prodigy, this morning Power 105.1′s The Breakfast Club played audio of someone who sounds an awful lot like Havoc making similar comments.
In the clip, the voice on the audio also said the following:
“He gay, I had to smack him like a month and a half ago when we was doing South by Southwest.”
Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Angela Yee then called up rapper Noreaga, who confirmed that the voice was indeed Havoc’s. Check out the audio here and decide for yourself if you think this is actually Havoc.
For those having trouble keeping up with the story, Havoc claimed that his phone was lost at a gas station and someone used his twitter handle to talk smack about Prodigy. But now with this audio being released, it raises ever more questions about their relationship. Does the audio sound like Havoc to you?
Promoters in Guyana have issued a statement regarding a canceled show featuring Rick Ross that was supposed to take place on April 9.
The Miami rapper was supposed to hit the stage at the Easter Fest Rozay at Guyana National Stadium, but the show was abruptly canceled.
Organizers confirmed that Rick Ross was forced to cancel the show in Guyana, because he suffered from a seizure.
The medical condition left the rap star unable to fly, according to the statement.
“The artist has suffered a medical emergency and has been ordered by his doctors not travel,” promoters Hits and Jams Entertainment said in a statement.
Reps for Rick Ross have stated that he will make up the canceled date in Guyana, but there could be issues with a missed date in Houston the night before.
The rap star was also supposed to perform at the Bayou Music Center in Houston on April 8, but missed that performance as well.
Rick Ross will not be rescheduling the stop in Houston.
The case of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was thrown into a tailspin today (April 10), when lawyers for murder suspect George Zimmerman abruptly withdrew from the case.
Lawyers Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig held a press conference in front of the courthouse in Sanford, Florida and delivered the shocking news.
George Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin, who was unarmed, on February 26.
Zimmerman’s former attorneys said they had not had contact with him in over two days, and revealed that they have never met him face to face.
Additionally, George Zimmerman’s former attorney said they didn’t know where he was, but that he was not in Florida.
In addition to losing contact with their client, Sonner and Uhrig said that George Zimmerman’s behavior over the past few days was cause to drop him as a client.
According to the lawyers, George Zimmerman contacted Angela Corey, the special prosecutor in the case over the weekend, gave an interview to Sean Hannity and launched a website for his defense fund, without their knowledge.
The special prosecutors office refused to speak with George Zimmerman, as Angela Corey decides whether or not Zimmerman will be charged with murdering Trayvon Martin.
According to the rumor mill, Rick Ross reportedly suffered another seizure yesterday right before a show in Houston, Texas. Because of the “medical emergency,” Ross’ people had to cancel another show scheduled to take place in Guyana today.
But according to our source, there is more here that meets the eye. Sources are telling us that money issues are actually the real reason why Ross canceled his show today in Guyana. We hear the promoters never paid Ross, so they started the rumor that he had a seizure to save face and explain Ross’ absence from the show.
Ross and his people have yet to confirm or deny the reports, but if the seizure rumors are true, this would be his third seizure in less than six months.
A photographer in Miami has filed a claim with the Miami Beach Police accusing Lil’ Wayne of ordering his crew to allegedly hand him a beat down, as well as damage his bicycle and camera.
According to the report, a photographer spotted Lil’ Wayne and his entourage skateboarding outside a church right beside a “no skateboarding sign” and decided to take a few photos and record video. Wayne spotted the photog and was not pleased with him taking the photos and ordered him to stop. When the photographer continued, Wayne allegedly ordered his boys to hand him a smackdown.
The photographer says that he was surrounded by eight men who threw him to the ground, spat on his face, destroyed his bicycle, and forced him to delete a few of the photos out of his camera.
The photographer did manage to escape with some photos and his footage in tact. Check out a clip of his footage, as well as the photos here
Mobb Deep fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as the group has released an official statement regarding comments from Havoc’s Twitter account about group member Prodigy.
Earlier this morning (April 9), fans of Mobb Deep were shocked to see a number of insults from Havoc’s Twitter account aimed at Prodigy.
Havoc told AllHipHop.com that he was not hacked, he simply lost his phone, resulting in someone else sending out the bogus tweets.
“Just getting back into NY after my Easter weekend with family and friends in Jersey,” Havoc told AllHipHop.com. “I left my phone at a gas station yesterday evening while on my way to Jersey after a glorious Knick’s game.”
Havoc dismissed any notion of a break up of Mobb Deep, who released their first album Juvenile Hell in 1992.
“To all Mobb Deep fans: it’s business as usual,” Havoc told AllHipHop.com. “It’s Mobb Deep all day!!! My twitter account @THEREALHAVOC will be down until further notice. The only other real account is @PRODIGYMOBBDEEP. Ignore the rest. One!”
It has been confirmed that Facebook co-founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, has purchased popular photography app, Instagram, for $1 billion in cash and shares.
The Instagram acquisition is one of the largest in Facebook history, and according to Zuckerberg, the company does not plan on doing many more of these transactions, if any. Zuckerberg, who made the purchase announcement on his Facebook blog this morning, does not plan on making any changes to Instagram as of yet.
“We believe these are different experiences that complement each other. But in order to do this well, we need to be mindful about keeping and building on Instagram’s strengths and features rather than just trying to integrate everything into Facebook,” wrote Zuckerberg.
“That’s why we’re committed to building and growing Instagram independently. Millions of people around the world love the Instagram app and the brand associated with it, and our goal is to help spread this app and brand to even more people,” he added.
Zuckerberg also stated that the 30 million Instagram users on Android and iOS would still be able to post their photos on other social networks besides Facebook.
There are currently a plethora of Hip-Hop artists on Instagram, including Rick Ross (RichForever), Tyler the Creator (tylerthecreator), Cam’Ron (Mr_CamRon), Big K.R.I.T. (YoungKrizzle) Fabolous (MyFabolousLife),Snoop Dogg (SnoopDogg), and many others.
Rapper and actress Eve recently sat down for an interview and kept it one-hundred regarding her thoughts on females in the rap game. In the interview, Eve kept it cordial when she spoke about Nicki Minaj, but it did seem like she implied she has an issue with her.
Check out her brutally honest comments about Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea, Lauryn Hill, and even Foxy Brown below:
Eve on Nicki Minaj:
“People want me to hate on her, but I haven’t got anything to say about her. I wouldn’t have a problem putting her on a record – I try to be nice. I know a lot of people are mad at her.
“But I get it, I get the whole sh*t, I know she’s going crazy. I know she’s going crazy at the mouth. Until somebody mentions me by name, I don’t care, do you – because all I can do is me.
“Even going back, Foxy and Kim both came at me, and I was like ‘whoa, are you’re serious?’ If you want to come see, come see me for real – I’m not that girl.
“Foxy made a record about me and was talking wild craziness, but to me it makes me feel like – if you’re thinking about me that much – thinking about me everyday – I’m ‘f*ckin up your life.”
On ‘212‘ rapper Azealia Banks:
“I like her. I think she knows how to word play, and I think that’s cute.”
However, when it came to ‘My World’ star Iggy Azalea, she confessed:
“I’m not really into Iggy. Her look is crazy but I can’t f*ck with her music. I just can’t believe it. It doesn’t grab me.”
Then, speaking on a possible duet with Lauryn Hill, she admitted:
“You know what – my one dream collabo would be with Lauryn Hill. She’s always be the one. Unfortunately she’s in a bad mental place right now, but it would be a dream come true.”
After stopping his concert a few months ago to open a can of whip *ss on a fan, rapper, The Game, has done a 180 and recently stopped a concert to come to the aid of a passed-out fan.
While Game was performing, he spotted a fan in the first few rows fall straight back and pass out. Game stopped his concert and ordered someone from his entourage to get him some water and even invited the fan on stage for some fresh air. The fan almost passed out a second time, but due to Game, the fans held him up and did not let him drop on the floor.
Check out the footage here of Game coming to the rescue!

Kanye West had the whole world buzzing yesterday after releasing his new track “Theraflu” and officially coming out as a couple with reality star Kim Kardashian.
Well, Theraflu reps are not too happy with Kanye using the name of their company in the track. A rep for the company that created the cold medication said, “We in no way endorse or approve of the references or use of the image and likeness of Theraflu in this manner.”
Big brand name companies often sue for the misuse of their “image and likeness” and could easily use Kanye’s song in the possible “legal proceedings.”
Do you think Theraflu has a right to go after Kanye West, or should they just go with the flow and accept the free promotion?
In related news, Kim Kardashian was spotted doing the walk of shame out of Kanye West’s NYC apartment yesterday morning, and apparently sporting a hickey on her neck! Check out the hickey pic here.
The two were also spotted all around NYC going to lunch and then doing a little shopping at FAO Shwartz. Those two are definitely getting it in.
Nashville, Tennessee rapper Young Buck will lose the rights to his back catalogue this May, as part of his bankruptcy liquidation.
Young Buck’s intellectual-property will be put up for sale on May 14, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The trademarks, copyrights, licenses and royalties for Young Buck’s catalog will be auctioned off at Nashville-based law firm of Harwell Howard Hyne Gabbert & Manner.
Young Buck was forced to file bankruptcy in 2010, after piling up a $300,000 debt to the IRS.
He has also been locked in a contractual dispute with G-Unit Records, which has shelved all releases by the rapper.
Young Buck was kicked out of G-Unit in 2008, although he was still signed to the label with a $171,000 debt.
During Young Buck’s bankruptcy proceedings, 50 Cent filed a $10 million breach of contract lawsuit against the Nashville rapper, preventing him from releasing material on any other label.
The sale of Young Buck’s intellectual-property will complete his bankruptcy filing and allow him to exit Chapter 7 bankruptcy, although he may also lose the rights to use the “Young Buck” moniker.
Kanye West reveals the cover art for "Theraflu," which features DJ Khaled and DJ Pharris.

Rapper Plies scored a major victory in court last week, when a judge overturned a verdict against the him over 2006 shooting.
In December of 2011, a civil jury found Plies and his brother Ronell “Big Gates” Lawrence Levatte, 37, responsible for a 2006 shooting inside of a Gainesville nightclub that left five people wounded.
Plies was ordered to pay over $35,000 to the five victims, while his brother was ordered to pay almost $50,000.
Now, the verdict against the rapper has been overturned.
A judge ruled that there was not enough evidence against Plies to prove that he knew the shooting was going to take place, or that he had knowledge that his brother and his even had guns.
Plies was arrested after the shooting and pleaded no contest to carrying a concealed weapon.
But the charge against him was adjudicated, so he has no conviction on his criminal record.
Bjg Gates, who spent three years in prison for his role in the shooting, is still responsible to pay the victims damages for medical bills.
The five victims were originally seeking over $10 million dollars in damages for their injuries.
Complain all you want, but Rihanna isn’t sorry for getting back in contact with Chris Brown.
Despite the overwhelming backlash following the former couple’s musical reunion, Rihanna defends her decision to reconnect with her abusive ex-boyfriend three years after he left her bloodied and bruised on the side of the road.
"I respect what other people have to say. The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently," the singer, 24, says in the May issue of Elle of her fans’ reactions to her collaboration with Brown, 22, on two new remixes. The tumultuous twosome has even been rumored to be secretly hooking up.
"It's very hard for me to accept, but I get it," she continues. "People end up wasting their time on the blogs or whatever, ranting away, and that's all right. I don't hate them for it."
Standing strong, the “We Found Love” singer says she’s not going to apologize for her actions.
Rihanna says she was 'going through the hardest time' of her life while making her 2010 album 'Rated R.' (Tom Munro/ELLE)
"Because tomorrow I'm still going to be the same person," she says. "I'm still going to do what I want to do."
Still, Rihanna explains that Brown’s February 2009 assault in his car following a pre-Grammys party in Los Angeles has essentially made her into the woman she is today.
"It gave me guns," she says of the attack. "I was like, well, f---. They know more about me than I want them to know. It's embarrassing. But that was my opening. That was my liberation, my moment of bring it. I wanted people to know who I am. Whatever they take that to be, good or bad, I just want them to know the truth."
Though part of her life is no longer private, the Barbadian beauty sees the upswing to having the world know so much about her.
"I have more freedom the more people know about me," she explains. "It's like, one less skeleton in the closet, one less burden, one less secret; now you know that, so you can say what you want about it. I don't have anything to hide."
E-40 places all of his "Block Brochure" albums on the charts, and MAYDAY, DJ Premier and Bumpy Knuckles also make an appearance this week with "Kolexxxion."

The Harajuku Barbie recently spoke on returning to her rap roots for the LP, which features contributions from Cam'ron, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Drake and more.
"[The evolution of my career has] just been peeling back the layers and now, it's like the ultimate layer was me saying, 'Now I'm going to do whatever kind of music that I want to do'…[it's] not always going to entail a hard Hip Hop beat, but sometimes it is," she said. "A lot of the tracks on [Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded] are a hard Hip Hop beat and just spitting, and that's why I've been [working with] some people like Cam, 2 Chainz and the legendary Nas. I got those people because…I wanted to get back to [just rapping]. I wanted to remember what it felt like when I just wanted to show people that I could rap."
Young Buck says negotiations with G-Unit are underway.
After surviving a drive-by shooting last month, Young Buck is taking some positive steps in his life.
In a recent interview, the Tennessee native revealed that he is "renegotiating" with G-Unit.
As HipHop-n-More.com points out, it's not entirely clear whether he is referring to the group or the label, though previous comments made by 50 Cent would suggest that it's likely the latter.
"I'ma be honest with you," began Buck. "Finally, we're having some kind of negotiations with what they're going to be able to do for us at G-Unit."
"The wait is definitely over," declared the G-Unit expatriate. "...I don't want to put a timing on it, but the wait is absolutely over, and we're just trying to figure out what's the best situation with us - where I'm gonna go."
Drake is not shy about sharing his love and affinity for late R&B singer Aaliyah. He even has a tattoo of her face etched on his back and sampled her on one of his albums. Well, we hear that Drizzy may be working on a joint album with the late star. Check out what he said about the possible collabo:
“Some special things. Great things man. Great things for music, period.
“You know it’s hard for me to ride around to a female singer because at the end of the day, you’re a man, but she always kept it so G with the writing and the melodies. It was something to ride to, especially when it was chopped and crewed. That’s when I used to love.”
Earlier this month, producer, Jeffery “J. Dub” Walker of The Hitmen tweeted that a posthumous Aaliyah album could be on the way.
“Just got great news today; the smash unreleased song called “Steady Ground” I produced on #Aaliyah is gonna be on her upcoming album:)” he wrote. There has been no confirmation from Aaliyah’s label, Background Records (distributed via Interscope) that the album is being produced.
It seems as if Drake is hell bent on doing a joint album with somebody… Rihanna, Weezy, or Aaliyah. Which one would you be checking for the most?
Trinidadian born/Queens raised rapper Nicki Minaj made a stop in her home town of New York this morning (April 4), during a visit to Power 105′s Breakfast Club morning show.
Nicki confronted a number of issues during the interview, including the criticism that she faced after her controversial performance at this year’s Grammy Awards.
“That was my best performance ever and if everybody didn’t agree you can…” Nicki Minaj told the Breakfast Club. “That was my best performance ever, ever. But can I say something, I did a skit on my ‘Right Through Me,’ I did a skit on ‘Moment for Life’ video, I did a fighting scene in my ‘Fly’ video. That was the skit for the ‘Roman Holiday’ video, it goes perfectly for the song, what don’t y’all understand?”
Nicki also addressed her relationship with her right hand man Scaff Beezy, who is Co-Executive of her project Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
“He is the reason for ‘Did it On ‘Em’ being on my album, he is the reason for ‘Beez in the Trap’ being on my album. But he knows lyrically what I am capable of and I keep a small circle and even in the studio,” Nicki said. “So that’s a point, I have people that I can trust right by my side. That’s why he is co-executive producer of the album, because he is the one that got all the beats and he is the one going back and forth with 2Chainz and Cam and we run our own ship. We have a couple of companies together. I don’t know what people want me to say.”
Nicki Minaj’s project Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is available nationwide and features appearances from Cam’ron, 2 Chainz, Nas, Drake, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Beanie Man, Bobby V and Chris Brown.
GZA says he doesn't feel bad about the crew's inability to see eye-to-eye.
GZA is currently prepping the release of his new album Dark Matter, inspired by quantum physics and slated for release later this year. During an interview with Rolling Stone, the Wu-Tang Clan member said that the LP is a “beautiful story” about “planets, black holes, comets” and more, and how his recent visit to MIT was one of the driving forces for the project.
“I had several different ideas and concepts in my head. It's just a journey of the universe. Dark matter, dark energy,” he said. “The thing at MIT didn't really have anything to do with it. This was just something that added to it. I mean, I never went to a university and linked up with, you know, quantum and astrophysicists and things of that nature. But it's not like this is what sparked the idea for me to want to do this album.”
He also spoke on his upcoming projects, revealing that he’s beginning to write pilots and working on several scripts. He had no update on the Wu-Tang Clan reunion album, and said that even if the crew never records another song, he’s happy with what they already accomplished.
“We haven't been on the same page in years,” he said, noting that he has no hard feelings about that. “Nah. It is what it is. Sometimes that match burns out. So, no, I don't feel bad about it. It's good. I'm grateful for everything we have done throughout our careers and if there's nothing else to put out, then there's nothing to put out. I'm constantly writing and working. It doesn't stop there.”
A couple of days ago, we reported on Diggy Simmons releasing a diss track against J.Cole for subliminally mentioning that he had sexual relations with his big sister, Vanessa. Diggy continued to defend his sister’s honor yesterday during his interview with 99.1 KGGI in California.
“A little over a year ago, my sister told me he (J.Cole) was saying he did this, that, and the third with her ’cause they went to the same college, but they didn’t even really know each other so it wasn’t like that.
“It was just me sticking up for my family.”
As far as his dad Rev. Run, Diggy says,“He already heard the track. He’s like, ‘Family over everything. That’s your sister.’ He wasn’t mad about it at all.”
And if J.Cole should respond?
“I don’t really care,” Diggy adds. “That’s not my focus.”
Rev. Run justified Diggy’s retaliation via his Twitter yesterday and revealed that the diss was actually a leak.
“J Cole.. Puts out 2 records Dissing family & Diggy & nobody cared.. Some1 leaks a old Diggy record & there’s a problem,” Rev. Run tweeted…
…while Vanessa chimed in to tell her side of the story.
“Ok enuff with the fu*#ery on my TL now. Our brothers r protective ova us CUZ guys stay LYING. MORE IMPTLY that ish NEVER HAPPENED,” she said.
It’s been 18 years since the original film hit the box office, pulling in $127 million domestically and nearly $250 million worldwide.
A 2003 prequel, “Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd,” which looked back at Harry and Lloyd’s high school shenanigans, did not feature either Carrey or Daniels and was not directed by the Farrelly brothers.
“We did not do ‘Dumb and Dumberer,’” Peter Farrelly told the entertainment website. “That was a studio thing. So we’ve always wanted to do a sequel and finally Jim called up. Jeff always wanted to do it. We always wanted to do it.”
The Farrelly brothers are busy promoting another highly-anticipated slapstick comedy, “The Three Stooges,” which opens April 13.
Diggy Simmons explains he dissed J. Cole after Cole spoke ill of his sister on a track.
Yesterday, Diggy Simmons made headlines when a song titled "What You Say to Me" leaked, on which the emcee took aim at J. Cole. Now, the rap royalty explains the real reason he dissed the Roc Nation up-and-comer.
In a recent interview with 99.1 FM, Diggy explained that he attacked Cole because Cole falsely claimed to have had relations with Diggy's his sister Vanessa on his song "Purple Rain." Although Diggy added that his song is over a year old and wasn't leaked by anyone in his camp, he felt the need to defend his family, a belief that he says was echoed his father Reverend Run of Run-DMC.
"[There's] no big story behind it, it was really just that my sister [Vanessa] over a year ago told me that [J. Cole] was saying that he did this, that and third with her, 'cus the went to the same college [St. John's], but they didn't really know each other like that, so it wasn't like that," he said. "She also told me that he subliminally talked about her in a song called 'Purple Rain,' which was also false. So it was just me sticking up for my family, that's all that it really was. I didn't even leak it, it got leaked last night while I was at the movies…I did that record last year…I was gonna put it out, but I didn't feel like it was appropriate, but of course, that's my sister…family over everything. [My dad Reverend Run] had already heard the track and he was like the same thing: 'Family over everything, that's your sister,' so he wasn't mad at all."
The blogosphere is going nuts over the rumor that 50 Cent may have proposed to his girlfriend, Daphne Joy. The “model” posted several cryptic messages onto her Twitter account alluding that she was going to be a wife, and she said ‘yes.’ Check out a few of her tweets below courtesy of Mediatakeout:
Unfortunately, we hear 50 didn’t propose with a ring, so we’re not sure how serious he is about actually getting married. Maybe it was an April Fool’s joke. You know 50 Cent is a jokester. Check out a few photos of Daphne below. Is she wifey material?
Last month, we reported that rapper Bizarre had quit Eminem’s rap group D12. Well now, it looks like D12 has lost another member. Mr.Porter aka Kon Artis took to Twitter recently to inform D12 fans that he is leaving the crew. Check out his tweets below:
“I love every moment I have shared on this planet and with the people I shared it with I will always love the legacy I was apart off#D12,” he tweeted March 24.
“So for my fans keep following and you will hear all the truth from me. No one on this earth speaks for Denaun. Period but God”
“I got nothing but love for my crew I am growing and excelling as u should as a artist i hope you all support that!” (Mr. Porter’s Twitter)
We talked to Denaun recently about his new solo project. I wonder what’s going on within D12 that has all its crew members dropping like flies? Eminem, what’s the deal?
According to a source, Nas may be chucking up the deuces to the United States and leaving for the greener pastures of Africa! A Nas insider has revealed that Nas is considering moving out of the United States in order to avoid paying the government $6.5 million in owed back taxes. Below is what the source is saying:
“Basically [Nas'] decision is more of a business move than anything else.”"His lawyer gave him two options: Let the government take every dollar you make for the next 4-8 years or extradite yourself to a country where they can’t touch your earned income. Nas been talking about moving out the U.S. for years anyway so he was like, “F*ck it. Let’s drop the album and I’m out.” Africa’s his escape from the debt problems.”
“Life’s a b*tch and then you die, cause you never know when you’re going to go”.
Poor Nas.
(But leaving for Africa did work for him and T-Boz in “Belly”, so who knows?)
In his rhymes, Drake often addresses the less-glamorous side of fame.
In a recent interview with The Guardian, Drizzy explicitly admitted to using drugs to handle fame.
"Have I sipped codeine before?" asked the Toronto native rhetorically. "Yeah, of course. Have I smoked weed? Yes. Do I drink wine? Yes."
Drake quickly added a caveat, lest he portray himself to be an avid drug user. "But do I do it excessively? No. I'm not a reckless guy. I do it all within moderation."
"I'm not into drugs," he said, before laughing and adding, "I mean any outside the ones I just mentioned."
"Nah, that's not me," he added after composing himself. "I care too much about what I have. I'm not going to throw it away for that."
SHOTS FIRED! After doing some research, we found out that Diggy’s older sister Vanessa Simmons went to John Jay College at the same time as J.Cole, and the two were an item. Well, J.Cole has a track called “Purple Rain” where he actually alluded that he got “dome” from a “preacher’” daughter. Check out the audio video and the J.Cole lyrics below – verse starts at the 1:19 mark:
Well, well, well, look what we have here. After only selling 24,000 albums this week, it looks like Diggy Simmons has taken the old fashion route, and is trying to drum up a little beef to sell more records.
Last week, Diggy tried to diss Drake by posting two blocks that he says resembles “Drake’s eyebrows”. Check out the Facebook screen shot below:
Drake never responded. And now Diggy is going after J.Cole. This morning, he dropped a diss record called “What You Say To Me”. Check out the video and the lyrics below:
Here are the lyrics:
“The other day I was listening to Purple Rain
Couldn’t believe all of the things that I heard em say
“WHO DAT WHO DAT” you know who it is
Heard you lyin on my sis, tellin people that you hit
when ya album drops, I’ma hit you with your bricks
So I’ma bomb first on you since you wanna rift
Who you gonna call? You ain’t got no friends
This fight is fixed, you ain’t got no wins
Lil ***** think he Cole, think he live like me
Jet setter, trend setter, nah you not like me
Can’t find a girl you know that don’t like me
I Can’t find a girl I know that know you, you local
Wasn’t even poppin in the school you used to go to
Gotta “aight” lyrics but can’t deliver your vocals
I’ma about to read you your rights, Miranda
only thing you hittin “In The Morning” is your Hand
stand up, matter fact sit down
don’t try to call Hovi Hov for a sit down
College boy, acting like a criminal
knowing you a broke back Jake Gyllenhaal
You imaginary player, even TMZ didn’t notice you was there
Geesh, you are such a dweeb
and your shirts don’t fit, long arms, short sleeves”
