Ab-Soul sells over 5,000 units in three days, as B.o.B. hits six figures. Meanwhile, TVT Records re-releases some vintage Pitbull to chart-worthy success.

Meanwhile, Pitbull's old home, TVT/The Orchard, hit the charts with a compilation of the Florida rapper's early '00s hits and feature work.

Lawda Mercy! Now rappers are beefing because of a blunt! How petty can one be. In a recent interview with MTV’s “POV“, Wacka Flocka says the beef with Wiz Khalifa started when the two were in a studio together, and Wacka claims he gave Wiz three ounces of weed and Wiz couldn’t hang.
Somehow the info that Wiz couldn’t keep up with Wacka’s smoking ended up on Twitter, and in his defense, Wiz tweeted, “nah lil’ homie” and Wacka though that was “disrespectful”.
Wacka also goes on to say that he is responsible for Wiz’s sound. Check out what he said below:
“I gave him [Wiz] a whole CD of Lex [Luger] beats and that’s how he got that sound.” “I ain’t personally give it to him, I gave Lex his stuff and that’s how they hooked up.”
Wiz must have heard about the interview with Wacka. Check out what he just tweeted below:
This all sounds a little petty to me. This can’t be the real reason Wacka is beefin’ with Wiz. This just can’t!
Grand Hustle rapstress Iggy Azalea was reportedly signed to a joint deal with Interscope Records and T.I.’s Grand Hustle Records, and was even quoted as saying that her deal at Interscope was “restructured” to include Grand Hustle. Well, now it seems like her deal with Interscope has fallen apart.
T.I was recently a guest on the MTV show POV, and said that his prodigy Iggy Azalea is a “free agent right now”. So I guess that’s confirmation that the deal with Interscope is no more, right? Man, we don’t know. T.I. or Iggy, holla at us and let us know what the real deal is!
There has been quite a shake-up at BET with their flagship show “The Game” announcing today that it has fired two of the main characters, Melonie, who is played by Tia Mowry-Hardict and Derwin, who is played by Pooch Hall.
Now, we are hearing that BET is not going to be stopping there and will allegedly be serving pink slips to both Terrence J and Rocsi of 106 & Park! The two allegedly only have three months left on their contracts, and BET is looking to go into a new direction for the show. With Terrence J’s blossoming acting career, we have a feeling he will be just fine. Rosci, on the other hand, may end up becoming another Free. Where is Free anyway?
The source inside Tupac’s estate says that the rapper was not homophobic, and points to his close relationship with the late designer Gianni Versace, who lived his life as an openly gay man. Tupac was also a huge public supporter of Versace, and even walked in one of his fashion shows in Italy back in 1996.
So, there you have it. Do you think Suge Knight is making up stories about Tupac to stay in the limelight? Is his hate for Dr. Dre that deep that he is lying on a dead man to get revenge? This is some sick stuff!
The legendary musician had been previously diagnosed with pneumonia about a week ago.
Brown is considered the man that pioneered Go-Go music, an art form that HIp-Hop has embraced through the years. Wale, a rapper on Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, used to rap heavily over Go-Go beats. “RIP to the Legend …Chuck Brown. u will be missed worldwide,” Wale said from his Twitter account. Also, in the late ’80s “Da Butt”was a song Hip-Hoppers loved from the group EU.
But Brown was the pioneer of the accomplishments from the aforementioned artists, and his influence goes back to the 1970s. In 1978, he and his band The Soul Searchers scored a major hit in “Bustin’ Loose,” which hit #1 on the charts. Nelly sampled the song in his 2002 smash record, “Hot In Herre.”
At the time of his death, Brown had cancelled several performance dates.
Jay-Z says he supports President Obama's stance on same-sex marriage and says that, "[It] is no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination plain and simple."
A longtime supporter of President Barack Obama, Jay-Z has recently spoken about why he backs the current president in his bid for reelection. The Brooklyn emcee spoke with CNN about why he agrees with President Obama's stance on same-sex marriage and why he feels the president has done a commendable job thus far.
"I've always thought it as something that was still holding the country back," Jay-Z told CNN of the fact that same-sex marriage has not been allowed in the past. "What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That's their business. [It] is no different than discriminating against blacks. It's discrimination plain and simple."
"I think it's the right thing to do," he added. "It's not about votes; it's about people. Whether it costs him votes or not, I think it's the right thing to do as a human being."
Jay-Z went on to add praise for the president, noting the job President Obama has done with regards to the nation's economy.
"Reversing the direction of the decline was a full time job in itself, so I think that it's stabilizing a bit now as some of the numbers show," he noted.
Roc Nation artist J.Cole recently did an interview with Bootleg Kev of Las Vegas’ Hot 97.5, and has spoken out about his dislike for rappers over-sharing and “fighting for attention” on Twitter. Check out what he said below:
“I’m not on Twitter no more, I’m not doing it and I’m not going to. I’m sitting and on watching all these artists who I respect — some of them are big artists — on Twitter fighting for attention. Every tweet is like, I’m looking for attention. Retweet me! It comes from this place of fear, like I don’t want people to forget about me. But really your body of work speaks for you, so it’s doing work even when you’re not knowing it. But because people ain’t talking about you on Twitter or your mixtape ain’t trending, you feel a certain kind of way. But when it’s my time, I’m gonna load up all my clips and I’m gonna empty ‘em out.”
Get ready to see Kanye West on reality TV this season. E! Online has confirmed that Yeezy will make several appearances on both “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” (KUWTK) and “Kourtney & Kim Take New York”, and has already been featured in a TV spot for KUWTK.
Kim, who has been very outspoken about her relationship with Kanye, has said that she wants to show her life and Kanye is now a big part of it and so he will be on the show. “If we are having dinner and he does show up, I’m sure we’re not going to go, ‘Stop the cameras!” said Kim.
“I’m not going to be taking a bubble bath and drinking champagne or on a sex swing like Khloé [Kardashian Odom] and Lamar [Odom] do,” Kim added. “It’s not going to be like that.”
“Keeping Up With The Kardashians” premieres this Sunday, May 20 at 9 p.m. on E!. So, keep an eye out for Yeezy!
R&B star Usher Raymond is currently in the middle of a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster Raymond, over their two young children together. Although the proceedings are supposed to be private, Hip-Hop Enquirer has exclusive coverage, and has revealed all of the scandalous details being spilled in court.q
Among the accusations are that Usher has allegedly slept with two of Tameka’s bridesmaids. Damn, that’s messed up if it’s true, but what does that have to do with a custody battle? Tameka should have brought that up in their divorce hearings.
Usher has estimated that they have ran through about 11 different nannies who all eventually quit because of Tameka’s unbearable ways. A few of the nannies have also testified that Tamika spends all day locked in her room and they believe that she is “depressed.” They have also testified that there is rarely any food in the house, and shared a story revealing that Tameka once left the house to go to the movies and did not return for 2-3 days. They also testified that she is “neglectful” to her children and leaves them alone to be supervised by their 10-year old cousin. This is crazy.

Shortly after signing with Cash Money Records, Mystikal returns to jail.
Rapper Mystikal has been ordered back to prison for a three-month bid on account of probation violation.
According to The Advocate, state District Judge Tony Marabella tacked on the sentencing because he violated his five-year probation in an extortion case when he was arrested in February on a misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse battery.
Mystikal was released from state prison in 2010 after serving a six-year term for sexual battery and extortion.
The judge has given him a nine-day credit on his three-month sentencing for the time he was detained following his February 22nd arrest. He will report to prison on May 14th.
[April 17]
UPDATE: Mystikal has checked into a Louisiana prison this morning where he will serve an 81-day sentence. He was originally handed a 90-day sentence for probation violation, but was credited with nine days after he was detained in jail for a February arrest. He is expected to be released in early August.
G. Dep explains why he doesn't regret his decision to confess to a murder he committed nearly 20 years ago.
G. Dep was recently served a 15 years to life sentence after confessing to a murder that took place in 1993, but he doesn’t regret his decision for admitting to his past mistake.
During an interview with The New York Post from Rikers Island, the former Bad Boy rapper says he is content with his life choices. “Maybe at the end of serving time or after looking back, someone might feel differently," he said. "But now I feel what I did was right."
Dep spoke on what he would tell his teenage self if he had the opportunity now. “I would have told myself to stop playing with guns,” he said. “Sometimes you think things happen for a reason, and if I wasn’t who I was then, like maybe my daughter would have never been born.”
He said that he still hasn’t forgiven himself but that he’s “working on it.” He also said that his family is starting to understand why he confessed to the murder nearly 20 years later.
“I think my daughter understands why,” he said. “My sons, they know that I’m in jail. I talk to them a lot.”
Jay-Z says he's going to focus on raising his daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, instead of writing new raps.
Jay-Z appeared in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania earlier this morning to announce the two-day Budweiser “Made in America” festival, taking place in September.
While on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum, Hov chopped it up with Billboard’s The Juice, explaining that he won’t be releasing new music anytime soon on account of his baby daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.
“I thought I would be more inspired to have all these new feelings to talk about, but I really just want to hang out with my daughter,” said Jay. "I want to enjoy this time for what it is. I'm sure that bug to get back in the studio will come back at some point."
He also spoke on his relationship with Anheuser Busch and why he decided to partner with the company for the “Made in America” festival. He wouldn’t reveal who is on the bill - it’s being announced on May 21st - but he said that he’s got roughly 70 percent of the lineup locked in.
“I had a relationship with Anheuser Busch going back to Bud Select [in 2006], and all those things came together and piqued my interest as another way to make an iPod playlist that's gonna play for two days live,” he said, naming who he’s currently feeling in music at the moment. “I like all the new guys in the industry as far as rap. I discovered this new song - it's not really new, but it's a song that I love by Michael Kiwanuka. I really like what he's doing. There's a bunch I just can't think of right now.”
In a new blog, former Def Jam head and music mogul Russell Simmons has come out swinging and is defending Rihanna’s right to sleep with whomever she wants without it ended up in a rap song. Last week, both Chris Brown and Drake allegedly dissed Rihanna in two separate tracks, and basically called her out as an industry jumpoff. Uncle Russell did not appreciate that very much and says these rappers need to stop being the pot calling the kettle black.
Read the full letter below:
There have been a lot of artists recently talking about “good girl gone bad,” Rihanna. As far as I’m concerned, I don’t see why everyone has their panties up in a bunch. It’s just that she is out there allegedly f*ckin’ the rockstars of her dreams and you out there fuckin’ groupies. You can’t be mad that she was seen walking out of Ashton Kutcher’s house late one night, cause you know if you were seen walking out of Adriana Lima’s house late one night, you would be in the studio the next day rapping about it. I mean, you all got like 50 girls in your videos drooling over you and you dissing Rihanna? I can’t blame a girl for being independent, having fun and living her life the way she wants to. I am certainly not condoning indiscriminate sex, but don’t get mad cause the girl…
Remember, I was a manager once and I have seen these types of young men on the road. I was with Run-DMC, the Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Whoodini and saw all of the girls after the show line up outside the dressing rooms. I mean, Whoodini even wrote a song about, “I Am A H*e” and went on to rap, “I rock three different girls after every show.” So, I know how this shit works. You all got 10 times as many girls as Rihanna has men, and you know that. I love you guys, and this certainly ain’t a diss, but I gotta keep it real.
Former Neptunes protégée Teyana Taylor has found a new recording home with Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music and is expected to release a new album later this year.
The singer/dancer has long been rumored to be signed to West, but the gossip became reality with a joint announcement from Island Def Jam/ G.O.O.D. Music.
Last month she released The Misunderstanding of Teyana Taylor, an album procurer that featured Fabolous, and Wale.
The 21-year old Harlem native Teyana Taylor started her career as an artist under the Neptunes’ Startrak/Interscope label and the union yielded one album From A Planet Called Harlem in 2008.
Since her debut release she has worked as a performer/song writer with the likes of Chris Brown, Kanye West, Willow Smith, Cam’Ron, Jim Jones and others.
Taylor has had a number of acting and modeling gigs as well.
J. Cole says he and Kendrick Lamar are four or five songs deep on their joint project.
A collaborative mixtape between J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar has been long-rumored, but now, it appears that the project is finally becoming a reality.
“I just started working with Kendrick the other day," revealed Cole in an interview with Hot 97.5's . "We got it in, finally, again. [It's gonna be an] album, man,” he clarified.
“We actually worked, bouncing ideas, which was great. The vibe was so good that it was like, man, that’s absolutely gonna happen," he added.
“We got maybe four or five [songs] together."
During the interview, J. Cole praised Kendrick and Top Dawg Entertainment for placing a value on each of their releases. "So when Kendrick blows, you can go back and buy his mixtapes - because he called his mixtapes albums. So I really respect how they did it."
Forget about tennis. Serena Williams is now trying to master the sport of….rap! Ms. New Booty has just released her debut record, and I guess she picked up a flow or two from Drake and Common, because lil’ mama is actually doing her thing. On the track, Serena raps:
“I ball hard, no tennis racket/ I can’t see these haters through my Gucci glasses/ I make hits like batting practice/They be like Serena/ is you really rapping?”
Meek Mill has done several interiews this week proclaiming that contrary to the rumors, he and Rihanna are just friends, or to put it the way he did, “She likes my music, and that’s that”.
The rapper recently opened up and told Rap-Up.com that the media linking him to Rihanna has been “ruining his life,” specifically his love life. You see, Meek has a girlfriend back home in Philly. Check out what he said about the alleged affair below:
“Rihanna, she was on Twitter talking about she liked a few of my songs on Twitter. And I think the blog game took it to another level. I actually got a girl at home. I be arguing with my girl about blogs and interviews about her. I don’t really be trying to go there with my girlfriend over blogs. It be f*cking up my life a little bit,” stated Meek.
Wait, but what about Rihanna celebrating his birthday with him at a strip club? Meek has an answer for that, too.
“[Rihanna] might have been at the same place as me, but that don’t mean we was together. She a cool person, I met her before, she like my music, and that’s that.”
Well, I guess Meek isn’t getting a slice of that “cake” after all.
While Master P’s new artists mark his resurgence into the Hip-Hop game, Percy Miller has been taking notes on what the game’s been doing, as he plots to make his next $75 million independently.
“I’m taking this generation, and I’m listening because that’s what music is about, keeping up with your swag and keeping up with your game and being able to get in these clubs, and that’s basically what I’m doing,” Master P told AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview. “Man, I got a team of youngins around me that’s sick. Miss Chee, Bengie B, T-Bo, we the next generation of this [No Limit Records], and Romeo the boss, and I’m the Chairman, and we all gonna play our role.”
In keeping up with the times, Master P has been paying close attention to how fellow New Orleans mogul, Birdman “Baby” Williams, has built his Cash Money/Young Money empire.
“Me and Baby always been cool, man. People don’t know, but I’ve always been in competition, because Baby always pushes me, you know what I’m saying, and I always push him. Like right now, he’s on top and that’s what’s pushing me. Now I’m like, OK, I gotta check out what they doing. I respect it,” Master P explained. “Now I’m back in this thing, and that’s kind of like my motivation now, you know what I’m saying? I love him because he’s from New Orleans, and I want to see him do well, but now I got to get out there and do my thing. He got some big artists over there, so it’s like a friendly competition thing now, you know what I’m saying? So I wish him all the best. Nicki Minaj, Drake, Wayne, I mean, you know, they doing they thing, but they motivating me.”
Master P took special note of Baby’s recent acquisition of former No Limit Records artist, and now YMCMB artist, Mystikal.
“That’s the thing about music. Something’s got to motivate you to take your game to the next level. Miss Chee, Bengie B, T.E.C., T-Bo, I mean, it’s enough room for all of us to eat. All friendly competition, you know what I’m saying? Nothing serious, you know, we from the streets, man, so it’s never been about nothing but a friendly competition,” Master P said.
“So you know, I feel like right now, I ain’t have my game together, and one of my prizes dun went over, and now I’m I kinda like, ‘Damn Mystikal, alright, that was a nice little piece right there.’ So now I’m like, ‘Ok, now I gotta you know…’ That’s how bosses do it, we gotta get on that hustle game and get out there, so we can get that next new talent that’s out there. It’s kind of like different fields of business now, because they big now in the music business, and I’m like starting from the bottom, climbing from the bottom. But I’m gonna climb quick, because I know this business, you know what I’m saying? And I’m ready, my swag so sick right now, man,” he added.
Popular North Carolina DJ Waleed Coyote is involved in a dispute with WWE wrestling superstar, Chris Jericho.
Waleed Coyote, who broadcasts on 102 Jams in Greensboro, was involved in a verbal altercation with Chris Jericho at “The Treasure Club,” in the early hours of May 7.
He allegedly became involved in an altercation with a man who turned out to be popular personality Waleed Coyote, who is also CEO of Othaz Records and President of the Slip-N-Slide DJ coalition.
Now, Waleed is challenging Chris Jericho to a three-on-three match to settle the dispute.
“The thing that bothered me about this dude is that we weren’t formerly introduced and he acted out of line and you can’t do that in North Carolina,” Waleed Coyote told AllHipHop.com. “He would have done that to anyone in this state and you can’t do that.”
When Waleed and Chris Jericho were involved in their verbal confrontation, Jericho was accompanied by wrestler R. Truth, as well as a WWE referee.
Waleed Coyote, whose song “DJ Hero” with P. Wonda is getting air around the country, is challenging all three men to meet him in the ring.
Waleed said he will bring two men to compete in a 3-on-3 “No Rules” match.
“It was him [Jericho] the ref and R. Truth who wanted to pop off at me and my cousin and I don’t fight, but this time it’s different,” Waleed told AllHipHop.com.
According to Waleed, he will donate the proceeds of any such match to music charities throughout the state of North Carolina.
Reps for Chris Jericho could not be reached as of press time.
Mystikal says he's "ashamed" of having to go back to prison.
Fans were surprised to hear Mystikal, after completing a six-year prison sentence for sexual battery and extortion and subsequently signing to Cash Money, was headed back to the pen for 81 days.
In a recent interview with Billboard.com, Mystikal candidly discussed the new sentence, which stemmed from a violation of probation for a misdemeanor domestic abuse battery charge.
"Disappointed isn't the word for it -- ashamed," admitted the emcee to Billboard. "It's hard to show up. If I stole your money and I gotta come face you again and you ask me about the money, it's gonna be hard for me to face you in the eye. So the proof is in the pudding."
"Everything I was doing, the 81 days was right there riding with me -- in the SUV, come on, who's that?" he added. "My 81 days. Everywhere I went, it was keeping me in check, and it's a fight. I can tell myself all kinds of things, I can sit there and mope, or I can get out and thank those fans the way I'm supposed to, the way they deserve to be thanked. So of course I am."
The Miami Herald is reporting that WWE star John Cena is filing for divorce from his high school sweetheart and wife of 3 years, Liz Huberdeau. The following is an excerpt from the report:
Tampa resident and WWE superstar John Cena has filed for divorce from his high school sweetheart and wife of only 3 years, Liz Huberdeau, saying the marriage is "irretrevably broken." The soon-to-be-ex-Mrs.Cena has armed herself with powerful Miami attorney Raymond Rafool, best known for going head to head with Hulk Hogan in his nasty divorce battle against ex-wife Linda. In that case, Rafool allegedly took Hogan for 70% of his assets. Huberdeau hopes for something similar, but it's not going to be easy. Cena, worth over $18 million, has a 2009 prenup that is said to include the ability to take back all gifts and presents.
Another insider warns that this isn't going to be pretty, saying "This is going to dwarf the Hogan divorce in nastiness." Yikes.
While it seemed like Chris Brown and Rihanna had reconciled a few months ago when they collaborated on two tracks together, it looks like the honeymoon is over. Last night, Chris Brown tweeted a freestlye over Kanye’s “Theraflu” instrumental, and it sure does look like he’s taking a dig at Rihanna. Check out the lyrics and the track below:
Don’t f**k with my old b-tch it’s like a bad fur Every industry n***a done had her Shook the tree like a pumpkin just to smash her B-tch is breaking codes, but I’m the password
After Breezy tweeted the link, Rihanna unfollowed her ex and commented: “Aw, poor dat #neaux1currr.” Anyone know what that means?
It has come out recently that Rihanna was dating Meek Mill, after already being linked to Drake. Could that have put Chris Brown over the edge? Or, could it have been all of the shade Rihanna was throwing his girlfriend Karrueche’s way on Twitter?
In related news, Drake may have also gotten tired of chasing after Rihanna. He just released a song with 2 Chainz titled “No Lie”, that seems to be dissing Rihanna and calling her out as a jumpoff as well. Check out the lyrics below:
“She came through, she brought food/She got f—ed, she knew wassup /She think I’m the realest out /And I say “damn, that makes two of us” /Oh that look like what’s her name /Chances are it is whats her name /Chances are, if she was acting up /Then I f–ked her once and never f—ed again /She could have a Grammy, I still treat that *ss like a nominee /Just need to know what that p—y like so one time, it’s fine with me”
Damn, Rihanna, all of your dudes are turning on you. Maybe it’s time to slow down, baby!
Maybach Music Group's Meek Mill joins Wale under the management branch of Roc Nation.
Joining his fellow Maybach Music Group rapper Wale, Meek Mill has signed a management deal with Roc Nation.
During an interview with Life+Times, the 23-year-old rapper, who recently released his new mixtape Dreamchasers 2, revealed that he signed with the management branch of Jay-Z's label.
"Yeah, that’s the new deal I put together. Me coming up in this rap game, I was always an underground artist coming up by myself and making all of the moves by myself," he said. "And my manager – he’s just like me, we’ve been coming up in the streets by ourselves. So we just decided to partner up with Roc Nation and take things to another level."
Meek, who said that he's still considering doing a mixtape with Ace Hood, revealed that he's working with Jahlil Beats, Cardiak, All Star, Key Wayne and Young Jerz for his debut Dreams & Nightmares, releasing this summer.
We have all heard about Ricky Rozay’s recent health problems, but could those issues have forced him to go under the knife to lose weight via a “lap band”? According to Media Take Out, a rock solid insider tells them that Ross underwent the stomach surgery a little more than a month ago. Check out a photo of Ross at the MET Gala recently. Does he look like he lost weight to you?
The insider says that last fall, Ross got “LAP BAND” surgery, which reduces the amount of food he can eat…and that he’s got a new diet and an exercise regiment, meant to get him into TIP TOP SHAPE. They say he’s already lost 20 pounds.
I’m not sure I believe this one. Isn’t being heavy set a part of Ross’ appeal? And what about that new “big and tall” deal he signed with Reebok? Wouldn’t that be null and void if he became a skinny dude? Some people just aren’t meant to be skinny – just look at Power 106′s Big Boy. He looked better with the weight.
What do you guys think? Is losing weight a good look for Ross?
It looks like rapper Canibus is coming out of rap retirement to partake in the “Vendetta: Battle Royale” against rap battle veteran, Dizaster. The spit-fest will take place on June 9 in Los Angeles, California, and will mark the first time that Canibus goes into the ring for a one-on-one rap battle on Pay-Per-View.
Canibus released a diss record, “Rip The Jacker 2″, toward Dizaster a few months back, which sparked the matching at the Battle Royale
That was pretty hard! But although Canibus has an impressive battle record, famously taking on LL Cool J, Eminem, and Wu Tang, Dizaster has won countless battles in the three-round, no time limit format and is a heavy crowd favorite.
If you want to catch the battle, you can order it through the King Of The Dot’s Ustream page.
The defense rested their case today (May 10), without calling a single witness in the first degree murder trial of Torrence “Lil Boosie” Hatch.
After six days and 27 witnesses, the prosecution called their last witness, Rachel Wagner, Terry Boyd’s sister and the mother of Hatch’s five-year-old daughter.
Before answering any questions, Wagner told prosecution lawyer Dana Cummings she did not want to take the stand, because she did not know anything.
Cummings still proceeded to ask Wagner if she knew of any reason Terry Boyd would want to “slap and jack” Lil Boosie.
Wagner replied “No.”
Once Wagner left the stand, the State of Louisiana rested.
Approximately three minutes later, Defense attorney Jason Williams stated “the defense rests with the witnesses the state has put on.”
The courtroom was silenced.
The look on everyone’s face displayed confusion.
The judge decided to end court for the day, in order to allow the state to prepare for closing arguments.
Prosecution will begin their closing arguments Friday morning (May 11).
A highly anticipated biopic about Jimi Hendrix’s life in Europe that was to star Andre 3000, could be delayed by the late singer’s estate.
Experience Hendrix LLC issued a statement to the Wall Street Journal, stating that the movie “All Is By My Side,” could not be made without their full participation.
The flick is supposed to start shooting later this month at locations in Ireland.
“Experience Hendrix has made it known many times in the past that no such film, were it to include original music or copyrights created by Jimi Hendrix, can be undertaken without its full participation.”
Jimi Hendrix’s sister Janie Hendrix, who is the CEO of the famed singer’s estate, has not ruled out a biopic about the singer in the future.
A number of Jimi Hendrix’ memorable hits are included on his debut album, Are You Experienced, which was created during the time period that the Andre 3000′s movie would have focused on.
They were not clear if “All Is By My Side” starring Andre 3000, would include any original material created by Jimi Hendrix.
“Experience Hendrix CEO Janie Hendrix, sister of Jimi Hendrix, and the EH board have not ruled out a ‘biopic’ in the future though producing partners would, out of necessity, have to involve the company from the inception of any such film project if it is to include original Jimi Hendrix music or compositions.”
Keyshawn Johnson -- former NFL star and current ESPN commentator -- unwittingly let a freelance photographer into his gated neighborhood who got busted for spying on the Kardashians.
Sources tell TMZ ... Kim Kardashian and her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, were shooting their reality show Monday in The Oaks ... the double-gated Calabasas community where Kourtney lives. They noticed a Dodge sedan parked near the shoot which lasted nearly 8 hours.
We're told at the end of the shoot, the Kardashian trio walked past the Dodge, when the person inside poked a camera out the window and started shooting. The girls confronted the dude, saying he was shooting in a private, gated community, and the guy began profusely apologizing.
We're told Kourtney called the cops and The Oaks community security who came a-callin', and quickly determined the photog had a pass to get into the community by another resident -- Keyshawn Johnson.
Our sources say security told Kourtney that Keyshawn would be fined $1,000 for letting the guy in.
We spoke to Keyshawn who says he did approve a pass for the guy -- but only to make a delivery to his home. He also says he hasn't heard anything about a fine ... which, by the way, would have to be voted on by the homeowner's association.
Keyshawn says he went to Kourtney's house later that day to apologize.
B.o.B. soars for the "Strange Clouds" while Santigold gets her strongest debut to date with her own sophomore, "Master Of My Make Believe" in a week that should make Atlantic Records quite pleased.
All three of last week's Rap-related debuts in the Top 200 were gone a week later. This past week, B.o.B.'ssophomore album surpassed early sales predictions and scored a Top 5 slot. Atlantic Records label-mate Santigold just barely snagged a Top 20 with her own sophomore, following a subtle name-change from three years ago. An otherwise docile week maintained the status quo for the most part, otherwise.
B.o.B.'s Strange Clouds Sells Over 75,000 First-Week Units
Following the gold-certified success of 2010's debut album, The Adventures Of Bobby Ray, Decatur, Georgia's B.o.B. made a strong first-week showing for his latest effort. Strange Clouds, which has been garnering mixed reviews in the media, mixes between Pop and Hip Hop, with appearances from Taylor Swift and Chris Brown, as well as T.I. and Playboy Tre. The effort moved offer 75,000 first-week units, scoring a #5 on the charts.
Santigold Returns Strong With Master Of My Make Believe
Electronic/Hip Hop vocalist Santigold followed up her 2008 acclaimed self-title debut. The Atlantic Records sensation scored her best performing chart position to date, following '08's Top 100 debut with a Top 20 showing in Master Of My Make Believe. The new effort features production with Q-Tip, following three years of feature work, including with Jay-Z, Beastie Boys and Lonely Island.

Rihanna is either really free with her sexuality, or she sure is one freaky chick. The good girl gone bad uploaded a photo of her with Ricky Rozay from the MET Gala along with the caption, “We Gonna Have Babies.” Check out the pic below:
In related news, Rihanna must have partied a little too hard at the MET Gala because the NY Post is reporting that she had to be hospitalized for exhaustion and dehydration after the event. When a fan on Twitter asked the star why she had been quiet all day, Rihanna tweeted the photo below of her arm hooked up to an IV.
While Rihanna may just be suffering from a bout of sickness, some are worried that the star’s partying has gotten out of control.
Star Magazine alleged today that Rihanna is on a “party binge.”
“Rihanna loves to party but this past month she’s gotten really out of control. She’s been drinking almost every day and talking about smoking weed a lot too,” a source tells the magazine. “Everyone is telling her to slow down and think about therapy, or even rehab.”
Now, please take this with a grain of salt, but MediaTakeOut is reporting that Lil’ Wayne has broke things off with his rumored fiancé, Dhea. According to their source inside the YMCMB camp, Dhea posed for a photo shoot for a popular men’s magazine and Weezy was having none of that. She also created a Twitter account much to the dismay of Lil’ Wayne. We looked through Weezy’s tweets and found the one below that solidifies that her alleged actions in his mind are cause for dismissal.
According to their source, Weezy felt like she was trying to capitalize off his name and get a little fame “Amber Rose style.”
Now this is one crazy rumor! Our source tells us exclusively that Nicki Minaj allegedly has a sex tape that is set to leak any day now, and you will never guess who her co-star is! No, it is not her rumored fiancé, Safaree, or her Young Money boss, Lil’ Wayne.
Our source tells us that the man who is in the alleged sex tape with Nicki Minaj is none other than G.O.O.D. Music rapper, Big Sean! In the words of Big Sean, “Hold up Hold up, whoa there, let’s capture this moment.”
The two allegedly slept together right around the time they shot the music video for Big Sean’s “Dance (A$$)” remix, and the whole thing was caught on tape. Our source tells us that Big Sean has possession of the video, and whether Nicki is aware that the alleged romp in the sack was filmed is unknown.
Last month when Big Sean was on New York City radio show, The Breakfast Club, he was being teased about Nicki grinding on him in the music video, and he replied, “Yeah, she felt my Big Sean!”
A highly anticipated acting role featuring rapper Eminem has been delayed, so the rapper can work on new music.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Eminem has delayed plans to start filming the movie “Southpaw,” said that he could get into the recording studio.
“He’s focusing on his music right now, so while he’s doing that, while he’s in that space, he wanted to put this on hold for the time being,” said Eminem spokesman Dennis Dennehy.
The rapper was supposed to start as a left-handed boxer in the flick, his only other starring role since 2002′s hit movie “8 Mile.”
“Southpaw,” which had an estimated budget of about $30 million, will still be made, according to Dennehy.
“Southpaw,” which is being directed by Antoine Fuqua and shot mainly in Em’s home state of Michigan, is indefinitely on hold.
G. Dep has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for a murder he committed almost two decades ago.
G. Dep has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for a murder that he allegedly committed in 1993.
According to the NY Post, the former Bad Boy rapper was given the lengthy sentence for the crime, which took place nearly two decades ago. "The circumstance of your being before the court now suggests to me a maturity and decency that wouldn't have been evident at the time," said Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Michael Obus. "It was the right thing to do, even though it landed you in the position you find yourself in now."
G. Dep, whose real name is Trevell Coleman, walked into a Harlem precinct two years ago and admitted to shooting a man that authorities later matched to the murder of John Henkel. In the wake of the sentencing, Dep's lawyer, Anthony Ricco, says that he admitted to the crime to clear his conscience and hopes he never regrets his actions.
"My hope is that Trevell never wavers from his decision," he said. "Fifteen years is a long time. Fifteen years in the penitentiary for putting yourself there is an even longer time."
Well. Looks like we can chalk up another big loss for Charles Hamilton. He says he was beat down last week by some “flamin’ f@ggots” and admits to being “biblically homophobic.” Peep the unedited story here……
Got jumped by some flamin’ faggots near Webster Hall Thursday night. Mad at me because I’m, quite Biblically, homophobic. Despite the MAGICAL night I had with …Dilla, George and Jack, I still had to scrap it out. First of all, one of these homos was starting a fight with a woman. He spit in her face and flexed at her like he was going to backhand her. So I intervened. You don’t hit a woman. Period. And he SPIT on her. So I walked over and checked him. “Homie, why you spit on her, b?” He was like “That’s my bitch, yo! I can do what I want to her, bro!”
Fuck outta here. Called him pussy and walked off. He calls his peoples from out the restaurant. Another homo who I had to check about 10 minutes before walked up to me like he was they leader, so I swung on him first. He was dundone. Then the other’s grabbed me, punched me, and ironically, kicked the areas in my back which were hurting me for ages. Shit felt crazy good. Oh man. Shit felt sooooo mean. Niggas was really kicking my knots, yo. Anyway, I got up, cracked all them niggas, they ran (yo, I made niggas run?!), and I got walked to the hospital. I miss my nigga Bred (George), Dilla wylded (Mav?) and Jack is Jack (CYANIDE!!!!!, for those long term readers). Cyanide, the beef is very simple. My exhales were your inhales. And that shit BOTHERED me.
The first-week numbers come in just under B.o.B's "B.o.B Presents... The Adventures of Bobby Ray."
The first week sales projections for B.o.B’s sophomore album Strange Clouds have been revealed.
According to Hits Daily Double, Bobby Ray’s latest release is projected to sell 70,000 to 80,000 copies in its first week. His debut album, B.o.B Presents… The Adventures of Bobby Ray, sold just above the projections, moving 84,000 copies in its first week. That album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, while Strange Clouds will most likely miss the top spot, as Carrie Underwood’s latest Blown Away is expected to bow atop the chart with 275,000 to 295,000 copies sold.
Strange Clouds has already spawned the platinum "Strange Clouds" featuring Lil Wayne as well as “So Good,” which is nearing platinum status.
AYE: to those that don’t like me, shut the hell up. Corny trollers. I don’t even have a log in to respond to your wack a$$ comments. Go eat a nail sandwich with extra lead – hold the mayo, Brudda!!! I ain’t been back 24 hours and you filthy roaches can’t keep me out of your mouth. Better yet, here’s another one for you to hate!
On to the rumors! Here is one for all the people out there in North Carolina! Word on the streets is that top WWE wrestler Chris Jericho has fallen out of the graces of the Hip-Hop scene there in NC. Here is what happened per one of my main sources down there. First, here he is again in case you don’t know him (like me):
Last night, Chris Jericho was down in the N. Cakalack at a popular club, from what I heard. And, he was just doing his thing, I suppose, but got a lil’ too gassed up on how hot he is in these streets. Well, somebody took a picture of him in the club, and Chris saw them do it. After he saw it, the big guy went and snatched the phone, deleted the picture, and threw the phone across the club! Here is where it gets nameless to protect the people that may get Jericho! Little did Jericho know, but he threw the phone of a popular NC DJ! And dude took to his network and let it be known how he was treated by the WWE sensation that mistook him for a common fan! Now, from what I understand there’s goons that are out to get ol’ Chris! Furthermore, all the DJs have commanded their minions to boo Jericho, because he and others are apparently down there to perform at a WWE event. I heard the event is tonight, but I don’t know if the “boycott” is going to ramp up soon enough. We’ll see, eh?
Floyd Mayweather Jr. and 50 Cent aka “The Money Team” have grown extremely close to one another. Unfortunately for them, their bromance has also has rubbed off on their exes, Josie Harris and Shaniqua Tompkins, who have teamed up to spill the beans and share their dirty secrets, and it ain’t looking good for the Money Team.
The two ladies have collaborated for an exclusive interview with Mommy’s Dirty Little Secret.com, and they are dishing about everything from Mayweather’s alleged domestic violence to 50 Cent allegedly burning down his ex’s home, as well as the alleged cheating ways of both men.
Just so you have some background information, Josie Harris is the ex of Mayweather, and the two have three children together who are 8, 11, and 12 years old. She is also the woman who accused him of domestic violence, which he was convicted of, and will be serving 90 days in jail for in a few weeks.
Shaniqua Tompkins is the mother of 50 Cent’s 15-year-old son Marquise and the woman who accused him of burning down her house with her son still inside.
Check out the Q&A below – it’s crazy!
Patricia Dean: How is your relationship with 50 right now?
Shaniqua Tompkins: It has its ups and downs. It’s a hard relationship to explain. He’s a bitter man, very bitter.
PD: Why is he bitter? Because you tried to sue him for $50 million?
ST: I didn’t sue him, he took me to court for child support, he sued me for defamation of character. The only time I tried to sue him is when he tried to evict me and his son from our home, the home he promised to give me.
PD: Why did he sue you for defamation?
ST: Because at the time the house burned down, I was asked in public who I thought burned my house down and I said he (50 Cent) did. When your money’s very long you can pay someone to do something. But that’s still you doing it, you’re just as guilty.
PD: Do you hold a grudge against him for that?
ST: No, because God wants you to forgive. I just had to let it go. Call it Karma, it all comes back. I don’t have to be mean or vindictive; we all get what’s coming to us.
PD: Are you still in love with him?
ST: No, I love 50 like a cousin maybe; I’m not in love though.
PD: Josie, how’s your relationship with Floyd? With all the cheating and domestic violence, do you forgive him?
Josie Harris: Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a d***. I have forgiven him, I’m over it. I did my s***. I’ve hit him over the head with a Tonka truck when I found out he was cheating on me. We had a pretty volatile relationship. Anyone who knows us, knows that. For him to put another ring on another chick’s finger, then come over to my house and try to control me and who I’m having sex with (C.J. Watson)… I mean that’s just him. She ain’t the only one that got a ring. He the ring master, there’s a couple people that got a ring. He’s just about that life. I didn’t deserve the abuse, my kids didn’t deserve to see that. We have gotten into to it before but what was most disturbing is that my son had to get help for me because had no idea how long it was going to last. Floyd’s beyotch-ass friend was watching the whole time as he put his hands on me, he even tried to block my kid from leaving.
PD: Who was it? Do we know who this ‘friend’ is?
JH: He was a friend, we won’t say any names. Somebody in Floyd’s camp, who is very relevant. I don’t even feel comfortable with my kids around him because I think he’s a snake. Any real man that see another man seeing red and putting his hands on a woman should intervene, he didn’t so s***.
D: How about you Shaniqua, did 50 ever get violent with you?
SH: Yes. When he put his hands on me in front of my daughter is when I knew the relationship was over. I’d never fight any of the girls he was messing around behind my back with though. Hoes are going to be hoes. I did have to call Meagan Good once. She claimed 50 was just a friend and he was helping her to get over a break up. She played her part well, as a good mistress does.
D: How about 50 and Chelsea Handler? I heard she said he is ‘adequate’ in bed, and surprisingly he had no response to that. Is it true? How is he in bed?
ST: 50 is a bully, but he’s afraid of Chelsea, she’s bigger than him. As for him in bed…he’s okay.
PD: How about Floyd, how’s he in bed?
JH: He’s boring in bed.
Alrighty then! You can check out the full interview here.
Yesterday (May 7) marked the third day of testimony in the first degree murder-for-hire trial of rapper Torrence “Lil Boosie” Hatch.
The prosecution called their first witness of the day, Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding.
Louding is accused of being hired by Lil Boosie to murder Terry Boyd in October of 2009.
The Prosecution
The prosecution said in a taped confession that Louding admitted that Torence Lil Boosie paid him to kill Terry Boyd.
While on the stand, Louding testified he never told police he shot Terry Boyd.
Louding said he was at Torence Lil Boosie’s house on the night of the murder and the two never left.
Prosecution lawyer Dana Cummings originally said that she expected Michael Louding to lie.
After Louding’s initial statement on the stand, Cummings ordered that the interrogation tapes be played to refresh Louding’s memory.
On the interrogation tapes, Louding gave an account of what happened the evening Terry Boyd was killed.
He told investigators that he and Adrienne Pitman, along with Michael Judson, went to the residence of Boyd in a white SUV.
He said that he shot Boyd through a window, while he sat on the couch.
Louding said once he got back to Boosie’s house and the phone calls came in that Boyd was dead, Boosie gave him $2,800.
After the tapes were played Michael Louding was called back to the witness stand.
He again denied having any involvement in the murder of Terry Boyd or being hired by Lil Boosie.
“I never killed Terry Boyd and Mr. Hatch never paid me to kill Terry Boyd,” Louding said.
When further examined by the prosecution, Louding became uncooperative.
He blurted out “where the other eight hours of the tape?”
Cummings agreed that not all of the interrogation was recorded to which Louding replied: “sound like somebody trying to hide something.”
Cummings then played a recorded phone conversation between Louding and a man known by the nickname, “Donkey.”
During the conversation, Donkey tells Louding: “you’re gonna shake the spot ‘cause you young.”
Donkey also tells him: “The whole thing set up to take Hatch down. Ain’t nobody see you do nothing. All those tattoos and stuff…that’s what we do for the videos.”
At that point, Cummings ordered Michael Louding to be released from shackles and for him to reveal a tattoo of an AK-47 on his abdomen that read: “Yo’ Boosie Who’s Next.”
Louding said that the tattoo doesn’t mean anything and the fact that he originally stated that it meant he was a hitman for Boosie was because, “The crooked police made me say that.”
“They told me that Torrence [was] trying to kill me and the best way to deal with him is get him off the streets. They said he had a $25,000 contract on me.”
Louding explained that this was especially believable, because he had just gotten shot at a couple of nights before.
Louding also said that he felt close to Lil Boosie and Boosie was like a brother to him and he occasionally called Hatch “Pops.”
After becoming frustrated with her witness Dana Cummings asked Michael Louding one last time, “How did Terry Boyd die?”
Louding responded: “you live by it you die by it.”
Cummings then asked, “Mr. Louding, are you telling the court that you were lying when you said Torence Hatch paid you to kill Terry Boyd?”
Louding said, “Yes ma’am.”
At that point the prosecution had no further questions.
The Defense
During the defenses’s cross examination of Michael Louding, defense attorney Jason Williams played the interrogation tape again, but this time let it extend past the time it was originally cut off for the prosecution.
“He reads him his rights and says alright you’ve come a long way dog …Now get it straight with me. Now what does he need to get straight if he’s telling his own story. If he’s telling his own story he doesn’t have to get it straight; just tell us what happened,” William argued.
The tape showed law enforcement saying they were not going to charge Louding with murder, but with aggravated assault and terrorism even though he confessed to murder.
Then the tape reveal Louding saying, “This dude wanna kill me? He bout to get out of jail now?”
Attorney Williams argued that law enforcement lied to Louding in order to get him to cooperate with getting his client Lil Boosie charged with murder.
The detective admitted to lying to Louding about having evidence that linked him to the case.
He said that it is not unusual to lie to a suspect and that lying is a technique taught to interrogators.
The defense also had Louding confirm that Adrienne Pitman had an outstanding beef with Terry Boyd and that Michael “Ghost” Judson, now deceased, had been robbed for $720 by Terry Boyd.
Michael Louding also admitted to receiving treatment for the voices he hears in his head.
The prosecution challenged the notion that Louding hears voices, saying that he seemed very competent and never told investigators about his mental challenges.
In regards to Pitman’s and Judson’s disputes with Boyd, Cummings then asked Louding “Are you saying you had nothing to do with the six murders?”
Louding replied, “I’m not a murderer, I’m a lover.”
Michael Louding was then excused off the witness stand for the day.
Rihanna was a no-show for her final rehearsal for "Saturday Night Live" last night -- which did not sit well with the show's producers, including head man Lorne Michaels ... TMZ says
Rihanna called in sick for the dress rehearsal, which is done live in front of a studio audience right before the actual show. We're told Michaels takes dress rehearsals very seriously and was quite upset when Rihanna bailed at the last minute.
Our sources say that in her place, Rihanna's choreographer danced to her songs.
When Rihanna showed up later looking just fine, we're told the staff was shocked ... and felt she didn't appear sick enough to have missed the dress rehearsal ... though no one from the show called her on it.
According to our sources, once the live show got going, Rihanna was seen eating an apple and walking around in between songs ... which bothered several staffers because she did not seem ill at all.
We're told producers can't even remember the last time someone has skipped the dress rehearsal.
Sources close to Rihanna tell TMZ she went through every rehearsal except the dress rehearsal (which she was in the building for) because she just felt too ill to do it. We're told RiRi had a doctor come to her dressing room before the show and administer a shot of penicillin before she went on.
A rep for the singer tells TMZ, "Rihanna was sick and needed to save her voice for the live show."
Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Nick Fury and Black Widow are kicking off the summer movie season in style.
On its first full day in U.S. and Canadian theaters, "The Avengers," Marvel's tale about a team of superheroes, raked in $80.5 million Friday, the second-biggest single day ever at the box office behind last year's "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2," which conjured $91.1 million, Variety reported.
The haul puts the Disney-distributed "Avengers" on course to gross more than $150 million through Sunday and gives it a chance to overtake "The Dark Knight," the 2008 Batman epic that netted $158.4 million its opening weekend.
The well-reviewed "The Avengers" looks to continue its Hulk-like strength. The movie received a rare "A+" grade from American audiences, according to CinemaScore, a market research firm. On Friday, Fandango, the online ticket seller, was selling 19 tickets a second to the movie, spokesman Harry Medved told TheWrap, a movie industry news website.
Depending on ticket sales Saturday and Sunday, "The Avengers" may have a shot at outpacing "Deathly Hallows," which holds a first-weekend record of $169.2 million.
Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster claims she never threatened to kill the R&B superstar, but she did admit under oath to saying "I will f**k you up" ... so you can see how he might have taken it the wrong way.
Usher and Tameka have been going through a bitter legal fight over custody of their two young children -- a fight that came to a head in a Georgia courtroom this past week.
Tameka took the stand and, as you can see in this video, was questioned by Usher's attorney about her verbal and abusive threat towards the singer -- where she allegedly said "I will kill you both," referring to Usher and his current girlfriend.
Foster went back and forth with her answer before coughing up a half-admission, saying she didn't threaten to "kill" him ... but admitting, "I did probably, out of anger, say 'I will f**k you up' and it's not acceptable."
Foster claims the menacing statement was a result of Usher gallivanting in and out of town with his new GF, which was "embarrassing" for her in such a tight knit community.
Representatives for Lil Kim have accused Harlem newcomer Azealia Banks of manufacturing a phony beef with the veteran rapper.
Azealia Banks to Twitter, where she tweeted a series of messages, presumably directed at Lil Kim.
Reports suggested that Azealia Banks, who lionized Lil Kim on Twitter weeks earlier, was supposed to collaborate on her upcoming mixtape “Broke With Expensive Taste.”
Apparently that is not the case, according to Lil Kim’s publicist CJ Carter.
“My client and azealia have NEVER spoke to one another or met AT ALL,” CJ Carter told AllHipHop.com in a press release.
“Kim was actually very flattered Azealia’s public admiration for her, which is why it’s so hard to understand how someone who claims to be a true Lil Kim fan could flip the script so easily on someone who was supposedly their idol,” Carter noted.
According to CJ Carter, Azealia Banks went right to twitter with her issues, as opposed to reaching out to anyone from Lil Kim’s camp.
Carter said that Lil Kim has no problems with Azealia Banks and will not engage in a petty, manufactured feud with the fledgling rapper.
“We have no idea what they are referencing and have no desire to discuss the matter any further as there is nothing to talk about,” CJ Carter said “It honestly seems that someone from Azealia’s team would rather have her fans buy into manufactured drama instead of buying music.”
Check out the full statement below:
Earlier today a press release went out making a claim that there was friction between Hip Hop Icon “Lil Kim” and aspiring hip artist azealia banks. The release comes as a surprise to our team, being that my client and azealia have NEVER spoke to one another or met AT ALL. Kim was actually very flattered azealia’s public admiration for her, which is why it’s so hard to understand how someone who claims to be a true Lil Kim fan could flip the script so easily on someone who was supposedly their idol. It is also VERY interesting that NO ONE from her team made any attempts to reach out to anyone from our team to voice any concerns or problems that they may have had. I have NEVER heard of anyone having a conflict with someone they have NEVER met with or personally spoke with. We have no idea what they are referencing and have no desire to discuss the matter any further as there is nothing to talk about. It honestly seems that someone from azealia’s team would rather have her fans buy into manufactured drama instead of buying music. Kim knows nothing of any beef, and furthermore has had nothing but nice things to say about her. We don’t know what this is and will not address this any further. It seems that this is another sad attempt by someone trying to use my client for publicity. We wish her nothing but the best.
Tonight (May 5th) Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26 KOs) and Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30 KOs) faced off at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada for the WBA Super Welter Weight Championship.
The two boxers held their anticipated fight that started with 50 Cent and Justin Beiber carrying Floyd Mayweather’s numerous belts out to the ring.
Wearing red shorts with a sleeveless red and white leather hoodie outfit, Mayweather waltzed in to the ring to the tune of Atlanta artist 2 Chainz’ newest street anthem “Riot.”
While Mayweather is due to face jail time on June 1 for domestic violence charges, he battled 12 rounds with Cotto in the Golden Boy Promotions fight, winning in the final round.
Mayweather was tested in what would be a close match, as the “Money Team” boxer’s nose was bleeding heavily at the end of 8th round.
Eventually Mayweather would prove to be the new champion, remaining undefeated as the fight was scored 116-112 by most critics in the end.
“I knew the right hook was going to be my money shot,” Floyd said after the fight. “A lot of times and these days you don’t see fighters using the right hook, only the left. But tonight I wanted to use the right hook and that is what I did.
Also making appearances at the fight were Lil Wayne, P Diddy, former boxers Evander Holyfied, Mike Tyson, Sugar Ray Leonard and many others.
“Money may cash out!!!” Ace Hood Tweeted when Floyd Mayweather won.
“I wanna see a rematch!,” said Juicy J
“Respect Money May’s Greatness Yo. You don’t see classic shit too often in this era…..” Charlamagne tha God Tweeted.
The victory sets up the Mayweather and Pacquiao fight that is rumored to take place in the fall shortly after Mayweather is released from jail.
A writer named Phil Mushnick says that the Nets should call themselves the "New York N-----s" because of Hov's involvement.
After Jay-Z unveiled the new black-and-white logo for the Brooklyn Nets, NY Post writer Phil Mushnick has some sharp words to share about his ownership of the team.
In an article posted earlier today, Mushnick framed the ownership in a racist context, stating that “as long as the Nets are allowing Jay-Z to call the marketing shots, […] why not have him apply the full Jay-Z treatment?”
Mushnick then said that the Nets should rename themselves to reflect Hov’s lyrics. “Why the Brooklyn Nets when they can be the New York N------s? The cheerleaders could be the Brooklyn B----hes or Hoes. Team logo? A 9 mm with hollow-tip shell casings strewn beneath. Wanna be Jay-Z hip? Then go all the way!”
Mushnick issued a statement to Village Voice's James King about the article, offering a cursory explanation of his original article.
"James - did you actually read what I wrote and what I've been writing for 30 years? I don't call black men niggas; my kids never heard the word until folks such as Jay-Z came along. I'd suggest you talk to him about it. What I wrote today was on Jay Z's artistry, and only the wishful and foolish would so badly misinterpret and mischaracterize it as you plan to do. Thanks - mushnick."
Big Sean, Meek Mill and J. Cole are supposedly joining forces for a new collaborative mixtape.
This past summer, Big Sean announced that he, Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa were in talks to assemble a super-group. Now, it looks like the G.O.O.D. Music rapper may end up working with Meek Mill and J. Cole as well.
DDot Omen reports that the trio of Roc Nation, G.O.O.D. Music and Maybach Music Group emcees are reportedly collaborating on a project. In a recent Tweet, he claimed that the three up and coming emcees are planning on working together on a new tape.
Poor Serena Williams has a broken heart. In a recent magazine interview, Serena confessed that she was planning to be single for the next 10 years because dating just isn’t working for her. Check out what she said below:
“I have given up on dating; it just hasn’t worked out well for me. I’m a really emotional person. I give my all and everything. I do make mistakes — like every human does — but the last relationship just was too much of a heartbreak for me. I just can’t go through that anymore. It was hard. I just have to remove myself from that atmosphere for about the next decade or so I can’t get involved.”
Okay, so was it Drake that broke her heart or Common? Considering that Common still speaks so highly of her, I put my money on Drake being the culprit.
Birdman said it himself: “There is no Cash Money/Young Money without Lil’ Wayne.”
So, it comes as no surprise that Birdman pulled out all of the stops to re-sign the star, giving him a rumored $150 million, four-album record deal. Although Birdman wouldn’t confirm the sum, he did tell MTV that, “It’s probably the biggest deal ever in urban music.”
“I’m blessed to even do that,” Birdman said of the rumored figure. “Whatever my son want, he can get. It’s all his anyway, so it don’t really matter to me.”
Cee Lo Green may play the part of maniacal judge -- creepily stroking his white cat -- on "The Voice," but it turns out that Green actually does have a dark past.
The 36-year-old singer's wife, Christina Johnson, called authorities and Green was arrested two days later for "simple assault (family violence)" and "disorderly conduct." But Green wasn't behind bars for long; he was released the same day on $2,800 bail.
But the "F--k You" singer's legal problems weren't over. He failed to appear at his court date and a warrant was issued for his arrest, leading him to spend two more days in jail. Green later pled no contest to his simple assault charges and was sentenced to 12 months of probation, domestic violence counseling and random drug and alcohol testing.
Since the altercation, which happend nearly 11 years ago, Green has admitted that he has gained control of his temper -- no doubt channeling his anger into the wacky Cee Lo singing hopefuls have come to know on the talent show.
Prodigy confirms that another Mobb Deep album is on the way.
Despite their bizarre publicity stunt last month where Havoc allegedly posted tweets slandering his partner-in-rhyme, Prodigy says that an album is still on the way. During an interview with MTV’s RapFix Live yesterday, P confirmed that their LP will be impacting soon.
“The Mobb is good, we're working on the next album still, steadily, making it hot," he said. "But in the meantime we're gonna put out some product for right now. The Mobb Deep album is not where we want it to be yet, so we've just gotta do something in the meantime.”
Prodigy says he has plans to drop H.N.I.C. 3 on July 3rd ahead of Mobb Deep’s next album. He said that thanks to the duo’s partnership with Sony RED, they can make their own release schedule.
“We've got a distribution deal over at Sony RED, so basically we run our own label, we run the company, we've gotta do everything ourselves," he said. "We make the release schedule, it's up to us what comes out first and if we want to change something, we change it. We've got a lot of control with this situation — it's like the best situation that you could ever be in, as far as [being] an artist and making music, this is great for us."
Diddy reflects on his relationship with former Bad Boy artists.
Diddy has remained quiet on G. Dep’s guilty conviction for a 1993 murder, but broke his silence yesterday during an interview with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex. The Bad Boy mogul said that the confession most likely stemmed from substance abuse and that he wasn’t in his right state of mind.
“None of that was in G. Dep’s nature. When there were certain things that he was going through with the substance abuse situation, he would be a different person. But on an every day [basis], he was probably one of the nicest, most quietest, shyest, most humble cats that was out there. It was just so out of his character that it was mind-blowing and so when I had heard after the main announcement, he had retracted his confession and he basically said he didn’t do it,” he said. “I was like, OK, maybe he was under the influence when he confessed. And then out of nowhere, they said he was convicted which was such a shame, because he’s such a great talent. And it all stemmed from substance abuse.”
He also spoke on reuniting with another Bad Boy alum, Mase, on the remix to Wale’s “Slight Work.” Puff said that he and Mase are “cool” with one another and that if it wasn’t for him, he wouldn’t be where he is today.
“I didn’t know until I got the record. And then when I got the record, I was just like, whoa. I gotta make sure my part is tight so I could pass it off to my man right. Me and Mase are cool. We’ve kept in touch over the years. I love Mase. If it wasn’t for Mase, I wouldn’t be where I was at today. Me and him were like Batman and Robin. So it felt good to get back on a record with him, and it’s one of the hottest, most intense records in the club. That’s what I specialize in. And then talking that talk.”
Junior Seau, a homegrown superstar who was the fist-pumping, emotional leader of the San Diego Chargers for 13 years, was found shot to death at his home Wednesday morning. He was 43.
Police Chief Frank McCoy said Seau's girlfriend reported finding him unconscious with a gunshot wound to the chest and lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. A gun was found near him, McCoy said, and police were investigating the possibility that Seau's death was a suicide. Police said no suicide note was found and they didn't immediately know to whom the gun was registered.
Seau's death in Oceanside, in northern San Diego County, stunned the region he represented with almost reckless abandon. The same intensity that got the star linebacker ejected for fighting in his first exhibition game helped carry the Chargers to their only Super Bowl, following the 1994 season. A ferocious tackler, he'd leap up, pump a fist and kick out a leg after dropping a ball carrier or quarterback.
"It's a sad thing. It's hard to understand," said Bobby Beathard, who as Chargers general manager took Seau out of Southern California with the fifth pick overall in the 1990 draft. "He was really just a great guy. If you drew up a player you'd love to have the opportunity to draft and have on the team and as a teammate, Junior and Rodney (Harrison), they'd be the kind of guys you'd like to have."
Quarterback Stan Humphries recalled that Seau did everything at the same speed, whether it was practicing, lifting weights or harassing John Elway.
"The intensity, the smile, the infectious attitude, it carried over to all the other guys," said Humphries, who was shocked that Seau is now the eighth player from the '94 Super Bowl team to die.
Seau's mother appeared before reporters outside the former player's house, weeping uncontrollably.
"I don't understand ... I'm shocked," Luisa Seau cried out.
Her son gave no indication of a problem when she spoke to him by phone earlier this week, she said.
"He's joking to me, he called me a 'homegirl,' " she said.
Seau's death follows the suicide last year of former Chicago Bears player Dave Duerson, who also shot himself in the chest.
In October 2010, Seau survived a 100-foot plunge down a seaside cliff in his SUV, hours after he was arrested for investigation of domestic violence at the Oceanside home he shared with his girlfriend. The woman had told authorities that Seau assaulted her during an argument.
There was no evidence of drugs or alcohol involved in the crash and Seau told authorities he fell asleep while driving. He suffered minor injuries.
"I just can't imagine this, because I've never seen Junior in a down frame of mind," Beathard said. "He was always so upbeat and he would keep people up. He practiced the way he played. He made practice fun. He was a coach's dream. He was an amazing guy as well as a player and a person. This is hard to believe."
Seau's ex-wife, Gina, told the Union-Tribune San Diego that he texted her and each of their three children separate messages: "I love you." She later confirmed to The Associated Press that Seau texted the family.
Seau, who played in the NFL for parts of 20 seasons, is the eighth member of San Diego's lone Super Bowl team who has died, all before the age of 45. Lew Bush, Shawn Lee, David Griggs, Rodney Culver, Doug Miller, Curtis Whitley and Chris Mims are the others. Causes of death ranged from heart attacks to a plane crash to a lightning strike.
Gina Seau said her ex-husband sustained concussions during his career.
"Of course he had. He always bounced back and kept on playing," she said in a phone interview. "He's a warrior. That didn't stop him. I don't know what football player hasn't. It's not ballet. It's part of the game."
Gina Seau said she didn't know if the effects of concussions contributed to Seau's death.
"We have no clues whatsoever. We're as stunned and shocked as anyone else. We're horribly saddened. We miss him and we'll always love him," she said.
When Humphries joined the Chargers in a 1992 trade, he said it was obvious Seau was "the person who had the most energy, the most excited, the guy who tried to rally everybody." Humphries said Seau "brought out a lot of youngness" in older players.
He also helped younger players.
"So sad to hear about Jr Seau," tweeted New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, who was with San Diego from 2001-05. "Junebug. Buddy. The greatest teammate a young guy could ask for. This is a sad day. He will be missed greatly."
“
He wasn't just a football player, he was so much more. He was loved by everyone in our family, our organization and throughout the NFL. This is just such a tragic loss. One of the worst things I could ever imagine. My prayers go out to Junior's family. It's heartbreaking.
” --Chargers president Dean Spanos
Chargers president Dean Spanos called Seau an icon and a friend.
"I can't put into words how I'm feeling right now. I'm shocked and devastated," Spanos said in a statement. "Junior was my friend. We all lost a friend today. Junior was an icon in our community. He transcended the game. He wasn't just a football player; he was so much more. He was loved by everyone in our family, our organization and throughout the NFL.
"This is just such a tragic loss. One of the worst things I could ever imagine. My prayers go out to Junior's family. It's heartbreaking."
Seau called many of those around him "Buddy" and often referred to teammates as "my players."
"As a young linebacker, Junior was my hero growing up and once I had the opportunity meet him I saw that he was everything I hoped he would be and more," former Dolphin Zach Thomas said in a statement. "Getting the chance to play alongside of Junior Seau, the greatest linebacker to ever play the game, made my dreams come true. I am absolutely devastated to hear this news. Today I lost my hero, my friend, my buddy."
Jason Taylor, who also played with Thomas and Seau on the Dolphins, said he was "devastated."
"It would be easy for me to say he was a great friend and teammate, and a tremendous competitor, but that would be selling Junior short," Taylor said in a statement. "Junior Seau was an individual of great honor and integrity, a leader of men and someone with a deep-rooted passion for giving of himself to make the people, the community and especially the children around him better. This is an immeasurable loss for so many. My heart and prayers go out to Junior's family, Gina and their children. I'm going to miss you buddy."
Commissioner Roger Goodell sent his condolences to the Seau family on Twitter and NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith said, "The NFLPA player family today joins with the Seau family to mourn a brother lost too soon."
USC athletic director Pat Haden called Seau "one of the greatest legends" in school history.
"He will always be remembered by USC as the original No. 55," Haden said in a statement.
Seau's greatest game may have been in the 17-13 victory at Pittsburgh in the AFC Championship Game in January 1995 that sent the Chargers to the Super Bowl. Playing through the pain of a pinched nerve in his neck, he spread out his 16 tackles from the first play to the second-to-last. San Diego lost 49-26 in the Super Bowl by San Francisco.
Humphries also recalled Seau recovering Elway's fumble to seal a come-from-behind victory in the 1994 opener at Denver.
Seau left the Chargers after the 2002 season when the team unceremoniously told him he was free to pursue a trade. He held a farewell news conference at the restaurant he owned in Mission Valley, and later was traded to Miami.
"Junior was a fierce competitor whose passion and work ethic lifted his teammates to greater heights. His enthusiasm for the game was infectious and he passed that on to everyone who was around him. He loved the game so much, and no one played with more sheer joy," Dolphins CEO Mike Dee said in a statement.
"Junior was one-of-a-kind. The league will never see anyone like him again," Dee said.
Seau retired a few times, the first in August 2006, when he said, "I'm not retiring. I am graduating."
US PresswireJunior Seau became the eighth member of the 1994 Chargers, who lost Super Bowl XXIX to the 49ers, to die at a young age.
Four days later, he signed with the New England Patriots. He was with the Patriots when they lost to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl following the 2007 season, which ended New England's quest for a perfect season.
"For four seasons, after every game he played, he would always find me in the locker room just to give me a big hug and squeeze tighter than anyone I remember. It was one of the many things I enjoyed about him," Patriots chairman and CEO Robert Kraft said in a statement. "He was passionate about football and always spoke with great conviction. He may have been one of the most charismatic Patriots player in franchise history. I loved listening to him when he addressed an audience. I will never forget presenting him with his AFC Championship ring at Seau's Restaurant in San Diego before our game against the Chargers in 2008. It was a memorable moment shared by both Patriots and Chargers fans, who that day celebrated pregame together as Junior Seau fans. He was beloved in his hometown of San Diego and quickly became a fan favorite in New England.
"Today, the fans of the teams for which Junior played -- San Diego, Miami and New England -- lost more than a legendary football player. We lost our 'Buddy.' "
Seau's last season was 2009 and last fall, finally retired for good, he was inducted into the Chargers Hall of Fame.
"Twenty years, to be part of this kind of fraternity, to be able to go out and play the game that you love, and all the lessons and the friends and acquaintances which you meet along the way, you can't be in a better arena," Seau said in August.
More than 100 people gathered outside of Seau's home, only hours after he was found dead. Families showed up with flowers and fans wearing Chargers jerseys waited to get news.
Major League Baseball's San Diego Padres held a moment of silence for Seau before their game Wednesday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Several hours after Seau was found, his body was loaded onto a medical examiner's van and taken away as fans snapped pictures and raised their hands in the air as if in prayer.
Family friend Priscilla Sanga said about 50 friends and family members gathered in the garage where Seau's body lay on a gurney and they had the opportunity to say goodbye.
"Everybody got to see Junior before they took him away," Sanga said. "He looked so peaceful and cold. It was disbelief. We all touched him and kissed him."

Rihanna is about to get straight up evil if the rumors are correct. No, she’s not throwing bricks through anybody’s flat screen like she used to do with Chris Brown! No, I am hearing that she is getting her way deep into Hollywood with a new movie – Fast and Furious 6/Fast Six. Seriously, how many of these godawful movies are they going to make? Vin Diesel has to be happen since this is the only movie he appears in these days. Nevertheless, word on the block Rihanna is set to be in the movie as a villain.
According to The UK Sun, a source said, “Rihanna impressed with her acting debut in Battleship. Writers think she’ll be perfect for the role. Her character has plenty of bite and doesn’t take any prisoners — just like her in real life. It’s a step up the ladder for her and could lead to bigger action roles.’”
Not a lot more else to say other than RiRi may be playing along side of Vin Diesel, The Rock and Paul Walker.
I see how Kanye West does it. He doesn’t do press, but when there is something he needs to get out, he says it in a rap song. We’ve seen this a lot recently. So, now…he’s doing it again. A week or so ago, the dude was accused of beating on his ex-fiancee Alexis. Well, this just didn’t happen, according to Kanye West. What did he do? he jumped on a track from an obscure Chicago rapper and spit about it. I guess he’s not obscure anymore now that Ye got Pusha T, Jadakiss and Big Sean on the remix of “I Don’t Like.” Oh, his name is Chief Keef and he’s only 19 years old. (Bet you $10 dude’s real name is Keith.) Anyway, on the track, Kanye says “A girl will run her mouth only out of spite, but I’ll never hit a woman in my life.” Very simple, but he ends up answering the question and responding to the rumors.
In related news, the producer Young Chop is LIVID that somebody, he thinks Kanye, changed the beat up on his original track. “I’m mad as hell, I’m mad as f**k for the simple fact that they did not ask me to change up s**t in my beat. They don’t have no files to none of my s**t, so how the f**k did they add another melody over the instrumental. These mother f*ckers are playing me, and I don’t give 2 f**ks, I will sue the s**t out of Kanye West, and he needs to call my phone right now before I snap. I don’t like that, that s**t is disrespectful.”
After weeks of speculation, Maybach Music Group (MMG) head Rick Ross announced today (May 2) that he has signed former B2K singer and actor, Omarion, to his growing label roster.
The announcement of the Omarion addition was made at an invitation-only press conference at New York City’s Eventi Hotel. Label representatives, press, and industry tastemakers were on-hand to welcome the new artist to the roster that includes Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, Masspike Miles, Teedra Moses, and others. MMG is distributed through Warner Bros. Records.
Lyor Cohen, North American Chairman and CEO for Warner Music Group, spoke at the event about Rick Ross’ growing roster, saying, “He’s not satisfied. There’s no stopping him. The possibilities that Rick and Maybach Music bring is unprecedented.
“He reminded me, he’s got the biggest office in the world, and that’s the streets. I don’t know anybody that can stop this guy,” Cohen said of Rick Ross.
Rick Ross gave an impromptu press conference interview with Rap Radar’s Elliott Wilson, and producer Swizz Beatz spoke about his friendship with Ross and how he helped him get his deal with Reebok.
Omarion has been spotted with rapper Ma$e in the studio in recent weeks, prompting speculation that the two were working on new material and possibly new deals. Ma$e recently appeared on Wale’s “Slight Work” remix with Diddy and French Montana, fueling talk that he would make a return to music, perhaps under MMG.
Rumors also swirled that Ma$e would serve as an A&R representative for French Montana, whose official signing to both MMG and Bad Boy was announced to laughter at today’s press conference.
Omarion, a solo artist since the breakup of B2K nearly a decade ago, has worked as a singer, actor, and dancer since childhood. MMG’s newly proclaimed “Maybach O”, was signed briefly with Lil Wayne’s Young Money in 2009 but left reportedly due to business concerns. Most recently, he released his DJ Drama-hosted The Awakening mixtape in May 2011.
Rick Ross also announced that MMG’s Self Made Vol. 2 will be released June 26.
“This one is much better than the first,” said Rick Ross of the album. “This is more of a body of work,” chimed in MMG artist, Wale.
In addition to the MMG compilation, in August, Meek Mill’s Dreams and Nightmares will be released, and his Dream Chasers 2 mixtape is due on May 7. Rick Ross’ God Forgives I Don’t will debut on July 31.
“Ross was and is a pioneer,” said Bad Boy Records label owner, Diddy, who reminded the crowd that the MMG head had made mixtapes more disposable. “He’s a genius to me, and he’s my brother.”
About squelching the many rumors that he was announcing the signing of Ma$e or Shawnna, Rick Ross said, “I just let the rumors circulate.”
Birdman makes some hefty claims about the figures Lil Wayne is pulling in.
Lil Wayne is undoubtedly one of Hip Hop's biggest stars. So when Birdman was able to retain the wildly popular rapper on Cash Money Records, he had no qualms about letting others know the significance of it. "He announced it last week that we extended our business together," said Stunna in an interview with MTV News.
"YMCMB start and stop with Wayne; it ain't no YMCMB without Wayne. The loyalty we have with each other, for each other, the loyalty and dedication for the team...the goal for us as a whole is to be the first billion-dollar music brand, because we never had that. Period. That's one of our goals. The move we just made was a big move to that, to make sure the pioneer of it, which is Wayne."
Birdman didn't get into specifics, but he hinted that Wayne's latest deal involved eye-popping figures. "The type of situation we did never been done in urban music; it's probably the biggest deal ever in urban music," claimed Birdman. "I'm blessed to even do that - whatever my son want, he can get. It's all his anyway, so it don't really matter to me. I live my life how I wanna; it's about him and them - my team."
Brock Lesnar had a huge blow up backstage after WWE Extreme Rules according to F4Wonline.com.
Lesnar was reportedly told leading up to the WWE Extreme Rules event that the plan for the pay-per-view was going to see Cena leaving on a stretcher, totally incapacitated and injured off television at the hands of Lesnar. Obviously, this didn't happen. Cena went over in the match, made a speech and walked out on his own power.
Backstage Lesnar apparently made a huge scene as he was upset at Cena's post-match speech. He felt WWE officials had double crossed him to make Cena look good and Lesnar weak. According to reports Lesnar was tearing things up and flipped out on Marc Carano who is the assistant to John Laurinaitis. Lesnar went on about how things were a mess in WWE.
There is speculation that some or all of Lesnar's backstage tantrum was orchestrated by Lesnar and top WWE officials to work the rest of the roster. There is also speculation according to the report that Lesnar causing a scene backstage was mostly his way of letting everyone know he isn't afraid to quit and doesn't need WWE. Some feeling Lesnar really didn't care as much about the change in booking but wanted to show off his situation of not needing to be there.
Reports also say Lesnar suggested Cena pulled the top rope down when he was standing on the apron which caused Lesnar to fall out of the ring and almost blowing his knee on that spot during their match.
Where Lesnar goes next in storylines is up in the air in WWE which is why Lesnar had the walk out moment on RAW last night to help buy some time and figure out what to do next.
50 Cent enlists Joan Rivers to help promote his energy shot.
50 Cent has enlisted personality Joan Rivers to star in an extended version of a commercial for his Street King energy shot.
In the advertisement, Fif is shown passing out SK shots to patrons at the gym. Rivers shows up and takes a shot of the energy booster, giving her a lift to help her work out.
The G-Unit general launched his Street King initiative in August 2011, intending to feed one billion children by donating a meal to youth in need for every shot purchased. In early January, he signed a deal with independent bottler Honickman Group to expand the shots' availability. It is currently sold in stores like GNC and 7-Eleven.
So, on Wednesday Rick Ross is hosting some kind of big time press release to make a major announcement. WELL, the strong word on the street is that he’s about to sign Shawnna. Now, that’s interesting, but cool. Why? It’s about time the boss got a woman in the crew. I think that Shawnna is the one for the gig. Why? Lyrically, she’s bonkers. She’s just as or more lyrical than the guys in MMG. She’s shined in other places, i.e. her former affiliation with Ludacris. I’m not sure what happened with her and T-Pain, but T isn’t bringing the pain on the charts any more. So, that’s that.
Lil Wayne and Deezle settle their suit out of court.
Lil Wayne has settled a $20 million lawsuit with producer Darius "Deezle" Harrison over unpaid work for 2008's Tha Carter III.
According to TMZ, Harrison filed a $20 million suit in March 2011 claiming that he produced several songs on the multi-platinum album including "Lollipop" but was never compensated. He states that the LP grossed more than $70 million and that he would accept a payout of $20 million.
Wayne initially balked at the lawsuit, stating that he had no basis to sue, but they recently inked a private deal out of court that settled the legal matter. The case has been dismissed.
Deezle wasn't the only producer who claims to have been screwed out of royalty payments. Play-N-Skillz sued Weezy in June 2011 for unpaid royalties on the same LP, as did David Kirkwood that same month.

Waka Flocka Flame contradicts earlier statements that he would be leaving the Rap game.
Last year, Waka Flocka Flame announcd that he would be ducking out of the Rap game, claiming that he would “rather work at Walmart than rap” because he was sick of how he was being treated. But with his sophomore album Triple F Life releasing on June 12th, the Brick Squad rapper is singing a different tune.
During an interview with HipHopWired, Flockavelli said that he no longer has plans to retire.
“I’m on my second one, so the third one might be true. I don’t know. The way they treat me, I spent my lifetime trying to do this. I don’t see myself quitting no more, it’s over for that. On to the next one.”
So, you may have read the twitter announcement that I am returning to AllHipHop. This is true. Click here to read the press release. I don’t officially start until the 7th of May, but I thought I’d get things started early with a nice, lil’ nugget about DJ Khaled’s Bus Driver. DJ Khaled might be the best, but his bus wasn’t because the damn thing blew up! (Later, I will speak on the overall state of things, including illseed.com, Sydney Lace and AllHipHop! Thanks, everybody that held me down and kept a good word!)
AND check out the customized bus before it went up in flames.

Nobody was hurt.
Now, I don’t know what happened with the bus, but I am hearing that he may have been the victim of somebody else’s incompetence! Well, we don’t know this for certain, but one thing is for sure…Khaled has a bus driver that loves to talk ish about his boss! AllHipHop just happened to talk to him at one point on a hum and dude just rambled on and on about DJ LKhaled! We don’t know if he was the driver of this particular bus at this time, but he sure this guy is about to know the Wrath of Da Besssssss! Anyway, I wonder what he was drinking when he came out of his mouth on this day?
No, we did not do anything to that Chris Brown picture. That’s actually a photo that Brown instagram’ed himself to his followers. I really hope it’s for a movie role…moving right along!
Breezy looks to be either kicking knowledge or dissing a few of his fellow celebrity friends with his recent tweet. Check out what he tweeted below:
Now, who could he be talking about? There’s so many of these going on right now. You have the high profile engagement of Amber Rose and Wiz Kalifah.
Then there’s Kanye West hooking up with Kim Kardashian and apparently loving every minute of it.
Then you have Chris’ own best friend YMCMB’s Tyga wifing legendary Miami stripper Blac Chyna…
