Donald Sterling wants the world to know two things: 1. he does not have Alzheimer’s disease and 2. He is not going anywehere. Earlier today, reports surfaced that Donald Sterling and his legal team are planning on suing the NBA for $1 billion.
Shelly Sterling became the sole trustee of the family trust that owned the Los Angeles Clippers after two neurologists deemed Donald Sterling mentally unfit to be a trustee by the family trust’s standards. As the sole trustee, Mrs. Sterling sold the Los Angeles Clippers to ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. Yahoo! Sports’ writer Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Sterling’s lawyer, Max Blecker, has confirmed that the former Clippers owner plans to sue the NBA:
According to TMZ, the neurologists’ results found that not only had Sterling suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, but has had the disease for the past five years. Blecker dismissed the medical reports as”grossly exaggerated” in an email to ESPN, but did admit to CNN that the reports revealed “modest mental impairment.”
Following the sale, one of Sterling’s other attorneys informed The Los Angeles Times that “there can be no sale without Donald’s signature.”
The one-season return of "The Arsenio Hall Show" featured interviews with and performances by Suge Knight and Rick Ross, among others.
The Arsenio Hall Show has been canceled after one season, according to Variety.
CBS, which broadcast the program, put an end to the show after its first season because the program was no longer deemed financially viable, the story says.
“Unfortunately, The Arsenio Hall Show will not return for a second season,” CBS said in a statement, according to Variety. “While there are many loyal fans of the show, the series did not grow its audience enough to continue. Arsenio is a tremendous talent and we’d like to thank him for all the hard work and energy he put into the show. We’d also like to thank Tribune and all our station group partners for their support of the show.”
The initial run of Hall’s show was in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
“The deals are still messed up,” Suge said. “I think it’s unfair if you really look at it, if you look at Interscope, the two guys from Compton—Game, Kendrick Lamar—got two of the worst deals in the industry. And when you look at it, it’s not so much the production company fault, but what people don’t realize is that if you’re on Universal, it’s the ship. Then Interscope get they cut, thenAftermath get they cut, then G-Unit get they cut. Then the guy who really has Game signed, it was another production company, then it came to Game. The reality is there’s more slavery now than ever.” While Hall checked Knight’s statement—and later quipped "12 Years A Rapper"—the record exec touted some industry deals as “worse.” “When you were a slave you knew it was bad,” he said. “When you was a slave, you was like, ‘Shit, it’s bad.’ But it’s worse when somebody make you be a celebrity and put you on a status and you thanking a person for stabbing you in the back.”
The singer skips out of jail and says he "ain't trippin'."
Ray J was arrested following an altercation Friday (May 30) in Beverly Hills, California.
"He somehow made contact with a woman's butt and that's why cops were called," TMZ reports. "They determined it was not a sexual battery. The contact was 'incidental.'"
Ray J was reportedly asked to leave the Beverly Wilshire hotel bar. Law enforcement officials say he became "belligerent" according to the report and that he refused to drive away from the establishment. Hotel security made a citizen's arrest and Beverly Hills police officials took the singer into custody.
Ray J reportedly kicked out the back window of a police vehicle and spit in an officer's face. As a result, the singer was booked for trespassing, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and vandalism.
Ray J was greeted by TMZ cameramen when he left the jail and he skipped to his vehicle, saying he was not "trippin'."

First Lady Michelle Obama came at number 8 with possible 2016 presidential candidate and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton coming in two spots ahead at 6. Earlier today (May 28th), world renowned poet Dr. Maya Angelou died and the news
The last musical collaboration the late Maya Angelou worked on was for Common’s The Dreamer/The Believer on the song “The Dreamer”. Even though Angelou was “surprised” by Common’s use of the N-word on the song she was featured, she considered him “brilliant” and Common in turn reminisced about his former collaborator on the day of her death:
Best selling author, Terry McMillian expressed her extreme gratitude for Maya Angelou:
Both Rihanna and Beyonce were not born when Maya Angelou’s debut autobiography, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings in 1969. However the two R&B singers shared their favorite pieces from Maya Angelou:
Back in February 20111, President Obama award Maya Angelou the Medal of Freedom award and revealed that his half-sister Maya Kassandra Soetoro-Ng was named after the late poet. Hours after news of Maya Angelou’s death, Obama issued an official statement regarding her death:
When her friend Nelson Mandela passed away last year, Maya Angelou wrote that “No sun outlasts its sunset, but will rise again, and bring the dawn.”
Today, Michelle and I join millions around the world in remembering one of the brightest lights of our time – a brilliant writer, a fierce friend, and a truly phenomenal woman. Over the course of her remarkable life, Maya was many things – an author, poet, civil rights activist, playwright, actress, director, composer, singer and dancer. But above all, she was a storyteller – and her greatest stories were true. A childhood of suffering and abuse actually drove her to stop speaking – but the voice she found helped generations of Americans find their rainbow amidst the clouds, and inspired the rest of us to be our best selves. In fact, she inspired my own mother to name my sister Maya.
Like so many others, Michelle and I will always cherish the time we were privileged to spend with Maya. With a kind word and a strong embrace, she had the ability to remind us that we are all God’s children; that we all have something to offer. And while Maya’s day may be done, we take comfort in knowing that her song will continue, “flung up to heaven” – and we celebrate the dawn that Maya Angelou helped bring.
The federal government says Busta Rhymes owes nearly $800,000 in taxes.
Busta Rhymes owes $789,577.90 in taxes to the federal government, according to TMZ.
The site says it has documents that shows the Department of Treasury has hit the rapper with two tax bills. One is for the $611,000 its says Busta Rhymes failed to pay in 2008. The other bill is tied to his 2012 earnings and is for $178,000.
Other rappers also have had tax problems recently. Lil Wayne reportedly owes more than $12 million in taxes. The New Orleans rapper allegedly failed to pay taxes for 2011 and 2012 and owes $5,843,952 for 2011 and $6,311,132 for 2012.
“I’ve always known in my heart that Beats belonged with Apple,” Jimmy Iovine said in a statement. “The idea when we started the company was inspired by Apple’s unmatched ability to marry culture and technology. Apple’s deep commitment to music fans, artists, songwriters and the music industry is something special.”
Earlier this month, it was reported that Apple would be purchasing Beats Electronics and Beats Music for $3.2 billion, but that price has been trimmed down to $3 billion.
According to the New York Post, the $200 million decrease in price stems from the low number of Beats Music subscribers. The Post reports that the subscription based streaming music service has only 111,000 subscribers, a number that is far from the 10 million paying customers Spotify has.
“Apple hadn’t even begun its due diligence process when news of the number came out,” a source said to the New York Post.
Despite Beats Electronics and Beats Music selling for $200 million less, Dr. Dre, who helped found Beats Electronics in 2006, still stands to make hundreds of millions from the deal.
John Janick will replace Iovine. Janick has been named chairman and CEO of Interscope Geffen A&M, while Iovine will become an Apple executive.
Janick launched the Fueled By Ramen imprint in 1996 and has worked in the Universal Music Group system, which includes Interscope Geffen A&M, since 2012. He has also been groomed by Iovine for the role.
“John Janick has exactly what it takes to lead Interscope Geffen A&M,” Iovine said in a statement, according to Billboard. “He started his own label. He understands the art of making records and the unique dynamic between a record label and artist, as well as the enormous responsibility that comes with representing one of the greatest artist rosters ever assembled.”
Interscope Records has released albums from Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and 50 Cent, among others.
According to the New York Post, the $200 million decrease in price stems from the low number of Beats Music subscribers. The Post reports that the subscription based streaming music service has 111,000 subscribers. Spotify, by comparison, has 10 million paying customers.
Where is Dr. Phil when you need him! Somebody get Steve Harvey on the phone! Its looking like T.I. and Tiny are done and the whole thing completely unraveled over the weekend. You already know, but damn. This hurts a bit, because they were like the hood version of Jay and B. They were closer to the people and still in love. But. the Floyd / Tip fight really revealed a lot.
Here is what The JasmineBrand pulled from the comments on Tiny’s social media.
Hours after engaging in a physical altercation with T.I. this past Sunday (May 25th), Floyd Mayweather went directly to Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club. Besides showering strippers with money, Mayweather used the Club’s song selection to explain his altercation with T.I.
In a cell phone video from the strip club, Chris Brown’s “Loyal” song was blaring through the speakers. In the video, Mayweather repeatedly says “that’s what I told T.I.” when the song reaches its chorus of “these h*es ain’t loyal.”
The following day, Mayweather apologized to Tameka “Tiny” Harris in an interview for referring to her as a “b*tch” when he yelled at T.I. “control your b*tch”. Tiny went on her personal Instagram account following the altercation and sided with Mayweather and alleging T.I. of infidelity.
Check out the candid cell phone video of Mayweather in the strip club hours after his altercation with T.I.
A reason is also given for Rob Kardashian's absence from his sister's wedding.
Jay Z and Beyonce did not attend Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding Saturday (May 24) because Rachel Roy was going to be attending the event, according to a source quoted in an eonline story today (May 27).
"He was hitting me in one moment and he's angry but the next minute he's in my lap crying like a baby," Shaniqua Tompkins says.
Responding to press regarding 50 Cent not attending their son Marquise’s graduation earlier this month, Shaniqua Tompkins sat down with V-103 and responded to the rapper’s claims. Detailing their previous relationship, Tompkins said that 50 Cent hit her in front of her daughter and claimed that the rapper hasn’t seen their son Marquise for two years.
Starting with the issue of Marquise’s graduation, Tompkins alluded that 50 should have been there regardless of an invitation.
“I didn’t know a parent needs an invitation to a graduation,” Tompkins said. “I think you make time for what you want to make time for. I mean, you know your son is in the twelfth grade. You know that children—depending on the state—they graduate May, June-ish. You’re busy but that’s why you have...assistants. The assistant can call the school. He’s always talking money, money, money. So you could fly on your private jet with your big gold chains.
“I’m not mad,” she added. “We all want the finer things in life but I left him. I knew when I left him that I was leaving a lifestyle. So it’s not like he left me. I left him...He is privy to the same information that I am privy to as a parent. You can call the school. You can ask, say, ‘I’m a parent of a senior.’ Or have your assistant call. I’m not being condescending. Have your assistant call. It was no tickets. It was on the lawn of the school. People that I did invite, they stood on the side to watch the graduation. You could have been there. That’s your choice. That is your choice. And being that you say you pay tuition, which he doesn’t, you should of had a first-class ticket then. You pay tuition right? But he doesn’t. He pays child support. He doesn’t pay tuition, he promised me he would, and then he changed his mind. I told him I wanted Marquise to change schools because I feel like the school that he was going to was getting a little rough. He’s in private school.”
Shaniqua Tompkins Says 50 Cent Hit Her
With her daughter in the studio during the interview, Tompkins also alleged that 50 Cent abused her upon finding out about an affair. During her explanation, Tompkins attributed the rapper’s consistent anger towards her on his own “abandonment issues.”
“I think me leaving him, it reinforced all those abandonment issues that he suffered as a child,” she said. “It’s unfortunate. He never knew his Dad. His Mom died when he was 9 but he never lived with his mom. He likes to create his own reality. His grandmother told me extensively—when I had Marquise she sat me down. She said, ‘He was always here with me.’ So I think it reinforced those abandonment issues and I think that’s why he’s so angry. But I feel like you’re really not angry with me you're angry with your mom. Not me. I think that’s what it is.”
Describing the end of their relationship, Tompkins admitted to cheating on the rapper.
“Yes, I did,” she said. “So I started going out. I met someone. I started going out. He didn’t find out about it I think he just asked, ‘Where’s your mom?’ He’s always home, he’s in Connecticut recording with LL Cool J at the time. He came home and I wasn’t there. So when I got in, he called me first, but I know how he is so I said, ‘I’m not gonna come home until you calm down.’
“When I got home he just lost it,” she continued. “He lost it completely. Just lost it and even when my daughter walked in the room, he still was hitting me. I hate to sound like a battered woman but, it just bothers me, he really lost it. He just broke down and cried. That’s why I said it was so scary. He was hitting me in one moment and he’s angry but the next minute he’s in my lap crying like a baby. It’s a lot of issues there.”
Detailing their latest conversation, Tompkins said that 50 Cent never "takes responsibility for his actions."
“I spoke with him," she said. "We spoke for a couple of hours on the phone. When you feel like you can’t get through to a person, I feel like I know how to set boundaries. I’m not gonna waste my time. He’s always going in what happened in the relationship. Marquise is never the main focus. It’s, ‘What you did to me. You left me. You did this. You did that.’ He never takes responsibility for his actions.”
Romeo says he thinks the drama in his family is real.
No Limit headman Master P is reportedly shopping a reality show. Recent family strains could definitely be a part of the show's plot and recently TMZcaught up with P's son Romeo to see if the family beef is real.
"You got to talk to my dad about it," Romeo said as he was talking with the TMZ reporter. "Maybe, maybe not. I think so, though. I think right now it's a time in our life where my dad been very private and now people need to know the truth about certain things and he's more open."
When asked if they were actually shopping a reality show and if the family drama was actually true, Romeo replied that there's always drama in every family.
"I haven't talked to him yet," he said. "He's working. I'm working, but we'll see. The drama's always real. That's what people don't understand. Everyone has their own drama. You've got to overcome it, though."
Master P filed for divorce last October. He was married to his wife, Sonya Miller, for 24 years and according to TMZ, the two have irreconcilable differences. The couple had been reportedly separated for some time and Sonya Miller had requested child support from Master P in 2011, even though they were still legally married at the time.
In March, it was reported that Sonya was on welfare and claimed P was worth $200 million–a fortune she claimed she helped build.
Late last month Romeo said that his mother “Gotta be a better parent" and that if she was a better mother, "She could have everything."
Instead of resorting to social media, Floyd Wayweather Jr. has decided to clear the record on what transpired between him and T.I. last night (May 24th) in Las Vegas in a recent interview.
Mayweather Jr explained in an interview with Nicole Bitchiethat he never had sexual or intimate relations with T.I.’s wife, Tamkea “Tiny” Harris and has known her before she became involved with T.I. According to Mayweather claims that T.I. approached him at a jewelry store in New York City this month about a conspiratorial plot to “play us against each other””:
[T.I] came to me when I was in New York. He stepped to me when I was at the jewelery store like, “Yo, let’s go outside and talk.” We went outside to talk, but he talked about, basically, “These girls tryna play us against each other.” I said, “I don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re talking about your wife?” I never put up a picture of her on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. I was basically like, “Listen. I’m letting you know I ain’t got…me and your wife don’t have nothing…if you think so.
This Memorial Day Weekend, Mayweather Jr held a birthday party for his 14 year old daughter Ilyanna at MGM Grand Ballrooms. Following the birthday bash, Mayweather claims T.I. approached him again and this time, Mayweather was not as cordial:
I throw my daughter [Iyanna] a big [14th] birthday bash today. I’m eating at Fatburger and next thing you know, he walk in talking about we need to talk again. And then I told him, “You need to get the f-ck outta my face. That’s what you better do.” And then he said, “I ain’t talking to all these people so you ain’t gotta talk loud.” I said, “Listen, don’t come to my face with no disrespectful sh-t. Like I told you before, you must’ve forgot what I did for a living.” He said, “You do in the ring, I do it in the streets.” I said, “My man, I do it everywhere. You can find out if you want to.” Just like that.
Mayweather later claims that T.I. swung on him and the boxer is only interested in apologizing to Tiny.
Noticeably absent were Jay-Z and Beyoncé, who are reportedly spending their weekend in the Hamptons. Adding insult to injury, Beyoncé posted a photo to Instagram showing off her new hairstyle around the time Kim was walking down the aisle.
Festivities included brunch at iconic designer Valentino Garavani’s château and a private tour of the Palace of Versailles (where the couple was refused permission to marry, according to a spokesman for the World Heritage Site, who said the rapper and reality star were not considered distinguished enough for an official ceremony at the landmark outside Paris).
It is the first marriage for West and the third for Kardashian.
Kardashian was previously married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2003 – 2004, and in 2011, wed professional basketball player, Kris Humphries. Their union lasted just 72 days before Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Kardashian’s divorce from Humphries played out in court, with him accusing the “Keeping up with the Kardashians” star of faking their relationship for the cameras. It was finalized in early June 2013.
In the spread, Kardashian wore several wedding inspired looks as she posed with her then-fiancé and baby daughter. The magazine cover lines read, “Kim & Kanye Their Fashionable Life and Surreal Times #WORLDSMOSTTALKEDABOUTCOUPLE” Kardashian took to Twitter to call the cover “a dream come true.”
Quentin Tarantino has dangled the prospect of his next project since 2012′s Django Unchained for over a year. During a recent press conference at the Cannes film festival, Tarantino divulged plans to turn the 2012 film into a miniseries for television.
According to Tarantino, he will use 90 minutes of unreleased Django Unchained footage for a planned miniseries consisting of four hour-long chapters. While Tarantino did not reveal how he will release the TV he does allude to the Netflix-style of binge watching where they release all the episodes of a TV series at once:
It would be a mini-series and people love those. You show people a four-hour movie and they roll their eyes. Show people a four-part mini-series and they’ll sit and watch it all in one sitting.

The Los Angeles Clippers may be relinquished of the Sterling’s sooner than many expected.
According to TMZ, Donald Sterling has given his wife Shelley Sterling full control to negotiate the force sale of the Los Angeles Clippers. While neither Shelley or Donald Sterling have revealed how much of the team the are willing to sell, sources for ESPN state that the league will only accept Shelley Sterling’s sale if its for the entirety of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Donald Sterling currently has until this Tuesday (May 27th) to respond to the NBA’s charge towards him to sell the Los Angeles Clippers that was filed earlier this week. Under IRS law, if the Sterlings sold the team for $1 billion they would have to pay $328.5 million in taxes towards federal long-term capital-gains tax and California tax.
“It was funny how nervous he was. He clearly knew the gravity of what he was about to do. This morning he was all smiles, but as it got closer, you could see that the nerves were kicking in. It’s common for most grooms. I’ve seen it all before.”
During ceremony, People reports, the guests applauded when the newlyweds’ kissed and then again at the presentation of the bride and groom. Kris Jenner was crying.
There have been no reports of Jay Z or Beyonce being in attendance or who comprised his half of the wedding party. However, Kim’s bridesmaids were her sisters Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie and Kendall.
Future and Cici have been oozing with happiness since the birth of their new baby boy, Future. But according to sources, Future may have skipped out on the actual labor.:
Sandra Rose reports:
“When the news broke that songbird Ciara finally gave birth to her first baby and rapper Future‘s 4th child on Monday many wondered if Future was present when Ciara gave birth. It turns out Future was nowhere near the delivery room when Ciara gave birth to little Future Zahir Wilburn on May 19. According to Hot 97′s DJ Flex, Future was performing live onstage at VICE’s Bacardi “Loud and Untamable” event in Brooklyn, NY hours after Ciara gave birth. Surely he could’ve canceled the performance when he learned that Cici went into labor?”
Hmmmm now we would hope Future wouldn’t miss his baby boy’s birth…but you never know…
celebrity in recent months. From epic rants about the government and thugs, to Q&A session with fans that including addressing Kendrick Lamar’s “Control” verse, to cryptic messages that left the public guessing what exactly he was trying to get across, Jay E’s timeline was a must read for Hip Hop followers.
That all appears to be over, at least for now. Electronica has quietly deleted his Twitter profile. An explanation for why he decided to end sharing his thoughts on the social media platform has not been revealed.
Jay Electronica’s long-awaited debut album is expected to be released later this year. The Roc Nation rapper recently promised Act II: Patents Of Nobility will drop before 2015.
In Hip Hop and the urban community at large have a generally adversarial attitude towards the police. In a recent interview with Vegas Seven, the first police officers at the scene of Tupac’s fatal shooting back in 1996 spoke about Tupac’s final words.
The former Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer, Chris Carroll states that he received the call of gunfire near the intersection of Flamingo and Koval around 11:15p.m. and was the only police officer in the vicinity. According to Carroll, when he initially attempted to get Tupac to reveal the identity of his shooter, ‘Pac was too busy “trying to yell at Suge”:
So I’m looking at Tupac, and he’s trying to yell back at Suge, and I’m asking him, ‘Who shot you? What happened? Who did it?’ And he was just kind of ignoring me. He was making eye contact with me here and there, but he’s trying to yell at Suge. And I kept asking over and over, ‘Who did this? Who shot you?’ And he basically kept ignoring me. And then I saw in his face, in his movements, all of a sudden in the snap of a finger, he changed. And he went from struggling to speak, being noncooperative, to an ‘I’m at peace’ type of thing. Just like that.
Carroll later details the last words Tupac uttered before “he started gurgling and slipping out of consciousness”:
He looked at me and he took a breath to get the words out, and he opened his mouth, and I thought I was actually going to get some cooperation. And then the words came out: ‘F*ck you.
Charlie Sheen says it was a pleasure not to meet Rihanna
Charlie Sheen, apparently upset that Rihanna did not meet his fiancée, has launched a Twitter statement about his unrealized Rihanna encounter.
The actor refers to Rihanna as an idiot and he makes fun of her current hair color in the statement, which is below.
I took my gal out to dinner
last night with her best
friends for her Bday.
we heard Rihanna was present as well.
I sent a request over to her table to introduce my fiancé
Scotty to her, as she is a
(personally I couldn't pick her out of a line-up at gunpoint)
well, the word we received back was that there were too
many paps outside and it just wasn't possible at this time.
At this time? AT THIS TIME??
lemme guess, we're to reschedule another random
11 million to 1 encounter
with her some other night...?
no biggie for me; it would have been 84 interminable seconds of chugging Draino and
"please kill me now"
that I'd never get back.
My Gal, however,
was NOT OK with it.
Nice impression you
left behind, Bday or not.
Sorry we're not KOOL enough

I'm guessing you needed those precious 84 seconds

Rihanna made headlines earlier this year when the singer posed topless and without any underwear in lui magazine.
Kanye and Kim are gearing up for their big day this upcoming weekend, and more details are spilling out about the extravagant wedding, including that the wedding is set to cost around $7 million!
“With the E! Network footing the bill for most of the wedding — presumably for Keeping Up With The Kardashians or a wedding special — the couple felt that left them with a hefty budget to splurge on the rest of the festivities.
Kardashian, 33, literally wants her wedding to be “the” wedding of the century, the source said, so she has been watching the Royal Wedding on loop!
Jay Z and Beyonce are still going to make an obscene amount of money from their upcoming On The Run tour, but Jay Z’s elevator altercation with Solange may make the amount less insane. Yesterday (May 20th), reports surfaced that prices of Jay Z and Beyonce’s upcoming On The Run tour were significantly decreasing on the resale market following the release of the elevator security footage.
Less than 24 hours after security footage of Solange Knowles attacking Jay Z in an elevator surfaced, two additional tour dates were added to the 16 scheduled tour dates. Yesterday (May 20th), Forbesreports that prices for the tickets on the secondary market has dropped by 13.5%.
According to data from ticket resale site Tiqlo, average prices for all On The Run tour dates decreased from $306.22 to $264.73 with three concert dates averaging at $200. Interestingly enough, four days after the tape’s release Buzzfeed reported that the Web’s largest event ticket search engine, SeatGeek, had data that indicated ticket prices for the show dropped by 3.8% from $213 to $203. SeatGeek analyst Connor Gregoire reasoned the drop then was “likely just a part of the normal ebb and flow of the market.”
The On The Run tour begins in a little over a month on June 25th at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, FL; one of the three concerts with an average ticket price of $200 according to Tiqlo.
Quincy Jones has sold enough records to have an opinion on everything. During a recent interview with Canadian
radio station CBC, Jones criticized the recent Michael Jackson album Xscape, describes Vibe Magazine as a “disaster” and more. In 1993, Quincy Jones founded Vibe Magazineand 20 years later, Vibe Magazine was sold to Spin Media and reduced to a quarterly release instead of its usual monthly release. According to one of the most accomplished musicians ever, the magazine was not one of his best moments:
Vibe was a disaster. I let it be in the hands of somebody else. That doesn’t work. It was terrible.
The accomplished composer claims growing up in Chicago he “saw a dead body everyday” and had gangster life aspirations growing up. Ironically, the self-proclaimed “baby gangster” was able to turn one night of crime on the town into the start of the most illustrious producing career ever:
We had the city covered. We were baby gangsters. We had all the stores. Working all the stores. Steal boxes of honey. This was during [World War II] in the 40s. The Armory were our recreational center, but it was also an armory for the military. We went in there and we ate up all of the lemon pie. Ate the ice cream, had pie fights and everything else. Then we walked around and broke in the rooms and so forth. I walked in one room, saw piano in the dark, I closed the door and something said ‘go back in that room.’
Jones reveals that Jackson and himself went through “900 songs to get Thriller. To get nine songs.” After stating that he disapproves of the new L.A. Reid executive produced Xscape album, Jones states that “it’s none of our business” due to the multiple parties involved with monetary interests:
They’re trying to make money. And I understand it. Everybody’s after money, the estate, the lawyers. It’s about money.

Lamar accuses the Beats Electronics frontmen with breach of contract and is seeking as high as a four percent royalty rate for sale of the company’s headphones, among other claims.
Lamar "is suing Iovine, Dre, Beats, Pentagram and H&A for breaching the terms of the settlement agreement and royalty agreement,” The Hollywood Reporter says in its story. "He's suing the same parties for bad faith denial of contract; suing Brunner, Pentagram and H&A for breach of fiduciary duties; and suing Brunner for tortious interference for allegedly inducing Iovine/Dre/Beats to renege on their contractual obligations made eight years ago.”
According to his filings, Lamar in 2006 took the concept of celebrity-endorsed headphones to Iovine. Once Beats Electronics signed with Monster, LLC for distribution, Lamar’s filing says that Dr. Dre and Iovine were slated for a 20 percent royalty and Lamar and his Jibe Audio company a five percent royalty.
In July of 2006, Dr. Dre and Iovine filed a lawsuit against Lamar, Jibe, Pentagram (a design firm reportedly used by Lamar to design the line of headphones) and SLS International (where Lamar was president at the time) regarding Beats, accusing them of not living up to their contractual obligations and of planning to release their own line of “Beats” headphones without Dr. Dre, the Hollywood Reporter says.
Dr. Dre and Iovine settled that case and agreed to pay Lamar and his co-defendants a four percent royalty on certain headphones, though which ones was not specified.
Lamar’s filings claim that Pentagram and Hinrichs & Associates, its tax and auditing firm, collected payments and other monetary compensation for additional headphones also covered through its agreement.

In 2013, Kanye West dissed Ray J during a performance on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." During a rendition of "Bound 2," which was backed by The Roots and Charlie Wilson, West began the selection by changing the lyrics to the track, which was originally released as a cut off of Yeezus, to diss Ray J, who is singer Brandy's younger brother.
"Brandy's little sister's lame, and you know it now," West said during the performance. "When a real brother hold you down, you supposed to drown."
British promoter Christian Ezechie of Executive Decision is looking for Rick Ross in order to serve him papers, but he cannot seem to find him, according to a recent report.
Ezechie allegedly booked Rozay and the MMG crew for a show in the UK, but claims the entertainers took his $200,000, never to perform.
Page Six reports:
During the promoter’s attempts to find Ross, a registered address for Rick Ross Touring in Miami turned out to be “a UPS store,” lawyers for Ezechie claim. A process server sent to Ross’ Miami home this week was told by a man inside, “I don’t know,” when asked how to reach him. And at Ross’ gigs, “process servers are hesitant to serve him while he is surrounded by security guards,” papers claim. Ironically, Ross is a former Florida correctional officer.
“It’s blatant robbery he’s doing, and he’s an artist worth $50 million,” exclaims Ezechie, who alleges he advanced Ross $100,000, plus about the same amount for the other Maybach acts.
He added he’s promoted gigs for Usher, Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott, but that “the Rick Ross Maybach Music tour was the biggest we have carried out.” Ezechie’s lawyer, Robert Hantman, said of Ross, “We are prepared to track him to the ends of the earth.”
The Mayback Music honcho was not available for comment.
