B-Daht's Blog

Welcome to the blog of B Daht Obama! I've taken a new approach to MY blogs - I write letters to people. Hopefully one day some of the people can actually read the letters I write. If you have an idea of a letter you'd like me to write to someone (they don't HAVE to be in Sports) send it to theescore@yahoo. Hope you enjoy, and comments are STRONGLY encouraged!

Should We END Black History Month?
Since 1926, we've acknowledged the accomplishments of African Americans starting with a "Negro History Week" by Carter G. Woodson to now, the entire month of February.

Many joke "Black folks still getting the short end of the stick, giving us the shortest month of the damn year!!"

Independent Film director Shukree Hassan Tighman has a film debutin on PBS tonight where he travels the country in attempts to gain followers for his "END BLACK HISTORY MONTH" movement. The idea is, to end just acknowledging for one month, then no more mentions for the remainder of the year. African American history is AMERICAN HISTORY.

The show airs tonight, February 16, 2012, on PBS entitled: Independant Lens.

Here's the trailer:

Watch End Black History Month? on PBS. See more from Independent Lens.

And at GUARD.......

B Daht makes you laugh Monday - Friday on Santillian and the Wild Out. He also does Stand Up Comedy once a month at the Comedy Zone, his Freestyle Funny Comedy Show (@theFFCS). His biggest passion next to Comedy? Sports.

B Daht has been "The Voice of WSSU" for the past 8 years and is a fixture at games. The people love the excitement he brings, and it all starts from the player introductions. Take a sneak peak inside the C.E. Gaines center and feel the energy as B Daht and WSSU's Band: Red Sea of Sound introduces the WSSU Mens Basketball Team for their games vs. St. Augustine's College in the above video....
