Looks like actor Tom Cruise just got B*tch slapped by Mark Wahlberg. Tom Cruise made a comparison of being an actor to being a soldier. Wahlberg replied, “How F—king dare you”.
“For actors to sit there and talk about ‘Oh I went to SEAL training,’ and I slept on the — I don’t give a f–k what you did,” Wahlberg, 42, said Tuesday at the AFI Fest screening of his new movie “Lone Survivor,” according to The Wrap.
Slamming Cruise on his statements, Wahlberg also said, “You don’t do what these guys did. For somebody to sit there and say my job was as difficult as somebody in the military’s. How f–king dare you. While you sit in a makeup chair for two hours.”
Cruises comments were from stated during his work on the movie “Valkyrie”. Legal papers revealed the star’s response to the lawyer’s question comparing the time away from his daughter Suri. Valkyrie was filmed in Afghanistan, depicting the “assassination and political coup plot by desperate renegade German Army officers against Hitler.”
Cruise had also said it felt like being away at war, during his movie Oblivion, and enduring an Olympic training while filming the latest Mission Impossible movie.
The comments did not sit well with Mark Wahlberg. Wahlberg had played Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell in his latest movie, Lone Survivor. In 2010 Wahlberg made a surprised visit to Afghanistan, visiting several soldiers.
Mark Wahlberg did say a similarity was the bonding between fellow actors, whom he called “brothers”. However, that was as far as he went with the experience.
“I don’t give a s–t if you get your a– busted,” Mark Wahlberg said during a Q&A after the flick. “You get to go home at the end of the day. You get to go to your hotel room. You get to order f–king chicken. Or your steak. Whatever the f–k it is.”
