A 92-year-old Georgia man faces a murder charge for stabbing his 90-year-old wife, authorities said.
Paramedics were called to Noel Morgan's Schomburg Road apartment in Columbus on Wednesday evening about a possible cardiac arrest, according to the Ledger-Enquirer.
As the medical personnel looked over the body of Annie Morgan, they found what appeared to be a stab wound in her chest, the newspaper reported.
An autopsy the following day found a puncture wound to the woman's aorta, authorities said. It was made by a sharp object, possibly a mail opener.
Morgan was arrested Friday and charged with murder, according to WLTZ 38 News. He pleaded not guilty on Saturday, and is being held without bail.
